The Go Go Computer Scientist knew that she was loved by Spaceship Earth fans. She knew there were people who came on Spaceship Earth to see her, and people who dressed up as her on Halloween.
Every day when the ride vehicles passed through, she would look up from her clipboard and observe the guests. She never took a moment of that for granted. She knew Spaceship Earth was due a big refurbishment soon, just as she knew it had been delayed for the pandemic.
So she enjoyed people watching. And at night, she enjoyed hanging out with the rest of her friends from history; the Greek Philosopher, the Roman Soldiers, the Middle Ages Monks, and the Radio Announcer.
This time next year, any one of them could be gone, never to see each other again.
So she just did what she could - she enjoyed the time while it lasted.
I love the Go Go Computer Scientist. She's just such a unique animatronic.
The Spaceship Earth ride was announced to have a huge refurbishment back in 2019, the ride was supposed to close in May 2020. But certain things happened and the ride reopened as normal. The refurbishment will happen. It's just now a matter of when. In other refurbishments, animatronics have been added and taken away. So the animatronics on Spaceship Earth currently would have that as an albatross around their necks.
