Prompt: The hero and partner are forced to fight each other.
It was eerily silent as the two faced one another. A sudden gust of wind picking up dust, carrying it across the stone floor.
"I guess this was bound to happen one day." The voice echoed across the arena.
"Honestly, I'm quite happy it ended up like this." came the reply, as Summers clenched his fist. "I finally get to kick your ass for all of your stupid shenanigans!"
"Just remember," Blaze yelled out, getting a bit nervous by her partner's statement. "I still need to be able to fight in case they show up!"
"Don't worry." Summers smiled at the ninetails. "After what happened to Sear, I've been packing five times the recovery items." He cracked his knuckles. "So I can beat you to a pulp three times over, and we should still be golden."
'Aaah, crap. In for a hurting, I guess.' Blaze thought as the announcer took center stage.
"Looks like a verbal battle has already begun between these two creatures even if I don't know what they are saying. But now, let the real struggle begin!" The announcer raised his hand to signal the two to fight.
Blaze didn't hesitate as she sent a stream of flame flying towards the grovyle, who easily dodged it and started dashing across the arena. Blaze aimed towards the grass type again, but his agility made it easy for him to dodge the moves. He ducked under the latest burst of flame, his hands glowing, forming large claws of royal blue flames and struck the ninetails, sending her backwards.
Not letting up on his advantage, he formed a green ball in his hands and fired it towards Blaze, who responded by gathering a similar looking ball of energy on the tip of her tails and sent it on a collision course with his, causing them to explode on one another.
"Are you holding back?" Summers barely finished that sentence before a ring of fire came flying through the smoke and made a direct hit on him, sending him to the edge of the ring. 'Evidently not.'
He had barely regained composure as a man-shaped flame was flying towards him. His hands glowed blue as he chopped the flame down the middle, rushing against his partner. As he neared he picked up speed as the leaves on his arms started to glow.
Blaze responded by a dark energy surrounding her and lept towards her opponent. He raised his arms to block as she landed, but with a quick step, she went behind him and struck. "Are you?" she asked in response to Summers' question earlier.
Summers snickered. "As if." and rushed towards Blaze yet again before turning into a blur. Blaze returned the gesture and the green and orange blurs went all over the arena before both of them appeared in the middle again, fox head against reptile shoulder.
"Gotcha!" Summers said before stepping aside, causing Blaze to stumble, his arm leaves glowing again, striking the fox in the back sending her flying. He jumped after her, hands glowing blue, as two well placed chops sends the ninetails out of the ring.
"Ring out!" The announcer called out to a cheering audience. "Contestant Summers is the winner!"
Summers helped Blaze on her feet as they both went towards the exit. "I think you would have fared better if you hadn't evolved."
"Still need to get used to this new form. Give me a week and you would go down in a knockout." Blaze replied.
"You sure that the Specters will appear here?"
"Pretty certain." Blaze replied as they passed the next contestants. "Just watch this match."
The audience was cheering as the new pair entered the arena and the announcer capitalized on the hype. "And now, ladies and gentlemen, we are getting an extraordinary fight. The Luchadore versus Son Gohan of the Turtle School!"
AN: What is this? An actual crossover with a different franchise in my mass crossover setting? What madness is this?
Also, this is the second time someone mentioning something happening to Sear. That's really strange.
