AN: Hey how's it going everybody?! Thank you, thank you! Thank you all for checking in, and before I forget, Happy Halloween! Now this is what I would call a momentous occasion. Like, even I can't believe it's happening its so huge! I'm literally posting three things on here in just one day! An update for RWBY Meetings, an update for SLVR Chibi, and to top it all off, the first chapter of this newest story, which officially begins my RWBY&Spider-Man crossover! And yes, it is the same Spider-Man crossover that I had teased way back in chapter nine of RWBY Meetings, so you can get especially psyched up for that.

[audience cheering and applause while a dramatic band version of classic Spider-Man theme song plays]

Oh yeah, that'll get you excited. So, without further adieu...

Spider-Man: Hang on a second!

AN: Huh? What? What's the matter Spidey?

Spider-Man: Dude, I don't know if you noticed, but there's a rather distinct lack of RWBY characters in this first chapter.

AN: Hey, it's not like there isn't any RWBY presence in here at all. Besides, this is kind of the norm for most of my RWBY crossovers. The first chapter explains how the other heroes got to Remnant, and then next chapter showcases their first day on Remnant, along with any encounters they may or may not have with the RWBY cast.

Spidey: Still, don't you think maybe you could've at least shown someone from RWBY taking notice of our strange arrival?

AN: You mean like I did in both Remnant of the Key and Transformers Remnant Volume 0? Yeah, I have no intention of starting a trend like that, thank you very much. Look, can you just get ready for your opening narration so I can run the disclaimer, please?

Spidey: Okay, okay. I'm going.

AN: Sheesh. You get like half a dozen movies and who knows how many cartoons and video games at this point, and all of a sudden you seem to think you have an excuse to be a total diva. Some show people...

Chapter 1: Gateway Gone Wrong

Okay, I know some of you have probably heard it all before, but for those of you who haven't, I'll take it from the top one last time. My name is Peter Benjamin Parker. When I was fifteen years old, I got bitten by a radioactive spider, and after a small spell of headaches, nausea, and other sick-like symptoms, I ended up getting spider-powers. All of this to say it led to some pretty crazy stuff that typically involved me swinging around the city on webs in a red and blue costume (yes, it is red and blue, not red and black. It's just a very, very, very dark shade of blue). In short, ever since that day two years ago, and an incident that led to the death of my Uncle Ben, I have been the one and only friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. I'm sure you know the basics of the rest by this point, but I'll give you some highlights.

I saved some lives, fought some bad guys, super and normal, tried dating my next door neighbor and best friend Mary Jane, at least until we realized we were better off as just friends, dated a hot former cat burglar (at least I'm hoping she's still a former thief. I can never tell with Felicia), and of course, saved the city a bunch of times. Probably more times than I should care to count. Still, someone must have been counting, because after saving the city so many times, I ended up on the Avengers' radar, and got an offer to join the team. I accepted, but only on a part-time basis. Hey, New York is always gonna need its friendly neighborhood hero, no matter what certain news publishers-turned authors-turned podcast hosts say. Yeah, I'm talking about J. Jonah Jameson, in case it's unclear. So, that's the bullet points of my life, but for the sake of this story, I need to enlighten you all on some more recent details.

First off is part of the reason why this all started to begin with, and it all…kind of, sort of traces back to old Norman Osborn, aka the Green Goblin. Yeah, you probably know the basics of that story too, so I'll just keep it short. Basically, old Normie-kins gave himself a performance enhancer called Globulin Green to become stronger, smarter, and all that other stuff, and then it made him go absolutely nuts. I mean, when you start dressing up like a green and purple goblin, flying around on a high-tech glider that's armed to the teeth with all kinds of weapons, and carrying several other weapons like pumpkin-shaped bombs in a man-purse, I wouldn't consider you to be the picture of good mental health. Yeah, I know I'm not one to talk, but Norman's an entirely different story from me.

The dude went up against the Kingpin of Crime, formed his own gang of thugs (who he somehow convinced to wear pumpkin-head masks) to take over the entire city, and launched a huge campaign to try and kill me. If you think that's bad, don't even get me started on what he did to my best friend Harry. When Norman found out I was close to figuring out his secret identity, he set things up so that Harry, his own son would be the one to take the fall for him. Even went so far as to give Harry an injury that he had faked earlier that evening. I'd already had a pretty low opinion of Osborn, but framing his own son, and hurting him like that only made it easier to hate him. In the end, his own craziness and desire to kill me proved to be his undoing, because his final attempt to kill me led him to stab himself with the blade on his own glider. His last request before he died was to not let Harry find out how it happened.

It was pretty hard to fulfill his request since the whole world knew by that point that Norman Osborn was the Green Goblin, but convincing Harry that his dad had not killed himself was a little easier. The only downside was that for the longest time, Harry believed that it was Spider-Man was the one who killed his dad, so you can probably guess what that did to our friendship. Things only got worse when Harry did find out my secret identity, and then one thing led to another, and before you know it, Harry's got his own set of Goblin gear to try and kill me with. I will admit, his does at least look a little cooler than his dad's, but the name he chose could still use some work. I mean, of all the names, he went with New Goblin? Way to phone something in, Harry. Oh, sorry, I'm getting a little off-track. Time to explain the other half of the reason.

After Harry did learn the truth, we managed to bury the hatchet, and he spent the next few months or so trying to clean up the mess his dad's whole Goblin-stint had left his family company in. Oscorp stocks took a huge hit after it was discovered that Norman was the Green Goblin and that a lot of the company's tech had been used by him for his crimes, and a lot of the people who worked there ended up getting jobs at other companies. Not that I could blame them. Even without the Goblin mess, Oscorp seemed to be a regular, reoccurring target for a variety of supervillains. Almost as much as places like Roxxon and Stark Industries. Lucky for Harry, his dad was not totally evil. I mean, he was pretty close to it, but he did have some contingencies in place in the event that Harry would have to step up and take over if the worst happened. Most of those being special projects and plans for new-age technology that would help put Oscorp back on top again, this time with a better reputation than what it once had, and one of those very plans is actually the key event that led me into the biggest mess I have ever faced in my life…

An impressive crowd of special security forces and reporters were all gathered together at one of the New York space centers for the unveiling of Oscorp's latest advancement in space exploration. Sure, many were skeptical about how legitimate or even safe this invention could be, but they had also taken into account how the young Osborn heir had turned things around for his company since the loss of his father, so they could not help but take some interest. Their interest only grew more when they heard one of the most renowned and famous astronauts of the modern era was going to be taking the lead in running this experiment, and that was all the more reason for everyone to show up.

Once it seemed that everyone was gathered up, Harry Osborn stepped onto the stage with a uniformed officer following behind him, prompting a furious round of camera flashes and questions from the press. He then tapped the mike on his stand a few times before holding a hand up for both silence and everyone's attention. It still took a few minutes to get everyone to quiet down enough to hear him, but Harry was glad to see he had their attention regardless.

"Thank you all for coming today," Harry began his address to the crowd. "As I'm sure you are all aware, Oscorp's recent advancements in space exploration technology have been helping our friends at the Space Administration by leaps and bounds, and today is going to be no different. Well, maybe a little different since most of them didn't involve such a huge press conference." That got a few laughs from the crowd, and seemed to help put Harry a little more at ease as he continued. "For ages, space exploration has been a thing limited to probes, satellites, and the simplest of telescopes, but now, Oscorp has created something that will change the entire thing in a whole new way. You might be thinking, 'Have they invented a starship? Or maybe the first ever, real-working FTL drive?' Well, while that would be pretty cool, this particular thing is something a little more…ambitious."

Harry then snapped his fingers, cuing something to rise up behind him from beneath the stage. At first glance, it looked like little more than the top of a large metal ring, but by the time it had fully risen into view, it was unveiled to be…a very large metal ring with some computers attached to it. Of course, Harry was quick to provide the actual name of the odd device. "Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the Oscorp Zone-transversal Gateway, or as our techs have affectionately dubbed it, the OZ-Gate. With this device, everything from studying other planets to even traveling to them becomes as simple as just stepping through the door to another room. No large spaceships that require who knows how much money and resources to build necessary, and you can even see events happening on other worlds as they happen just like if you were to watch a major sports event on your TV at home."

"I'm sorry, Mister Osborn, but it almost sounds like you're telling us you've invented a teleporter that doubles as a spy camera," a reporter by the name of Whitney Chang commented.

"First off, it's no more of a spy camera than say the Hubble Telescope or the first satellite to send back pictures of Mars, and secondly, in the simplest of terms, I suppose calling it a teleporter is actually pretty accurate," Harry clarified as the large display screen behind him suddenly came to life with various different images. All of them clearly not of places on Earth. "Over the past few months, Oscorp and the Space Administration have been hard at work in using the OZ-Gate to view various worlds, as well as test the capabilities of its current, exact range of distance. As of now, it's been able to reach planets not only in our own solar system, but in other galaxies as well. We've been able to see a great number of worlds with the OZ-Gate; some of which we are already familiar with like those of the Kree and the Skrull, just to name a couple, but we've also discovered a variety of new ones as well. Out of all those worlds though, there was one that caught our interest more than any other."

Upon uttering that last word, the image on the view screens suddenly changed to showcase images of a city full of human beings, all going about their business and everyday lives. Naturally this image drew some confused gasps from the crowd, but Harry must have been expecting this reaction, because he smiled a little more. "I'd be concerned if you weren't a little confused by what you're seeing here," Harry admitted to the crowd. "Make no mistake, the image you're seeing right now is in fact still from another world, but unlike all the others we saw, this is the only one that stands out for one reason alone: it is a world that is almost exactly like our own Earth, right down to the humans who populate it. There are some differences of course, some a bit more obvious than others, but the comparison is still very accurate."

"Unlike us though, these humans have not achieved any level of space travel, and yet they do have some incredibly advanced technology at their disposal," Harry continued on while the screens showcased various images to display what he spoke of. "Massive ships of incredibly advanced design, real-working robotic workers that not only share human-like characteristics, but are used for a variety of purposes from combat to simple labor tasks, hard-light holographic interfaces that are common place among all people as opposed to just a few, and so much more. In spite of their lack of space travel tech, we at Oscorp felt it would be well worth it to attempt first contact with this world, and our friends at the space administration agreed. So we sent a small probe to scan more of the planet and deliver a message of good will to its people." Harry then paused for a second as his face grew grim, and then said, "That's when we discovered that not all was as wonderful as it first seemed."

The images on screen then changed to show what the drone had sent back, and these images were far less pleasant than the previous ones. An entire town was burning, people were running scared, and at the center of it all were various beasts with black skin or fur and bone-like armor. From the look of things, there were some people trying to fight off the creatures, many of them using some rather interesting weapons, but their efforts only did so much to slow the beasts down, and before long, they were being chomped or sliced up by the attacking creatures. This continued on until something eventually hit the drone, causing it to get spun over until it landed on its side. The last thing it recorded was the image of one of the strange creatures, which could most closely be described as a giant wolf, roaring loudly before the image went to static.

Everyone seemed to grow very worried over what they had seen, prompting Harry to hurry in reassuring the crowd. "No need to be concerned everyone. When we sent that probe through, we made sure that all of its return methods could be terminated upon its destruction in the event the natives were less than welcoming of our first contact attempts, so there's little chance of those things coming to us through the OZ-Gate. However, that proved to be of little comfort to us. Now, I know what you're thinking: why should we concern ourselves with what may or may not be happening on that world? We should just never open the gate to that world again and move on, and for a time, I had to agree with you, but then I couldn't get it out of my head: the screams of all those people, the women and children, the brave warriors fighting desperately to save as many as they could…It haunted my nightmares, and I couldn't ignore it forever. So I didn't."

"More to the point, they may not be our problem now, but we once thought the same thing about other alien beings, and as a result, we ended up being invaded by the likes of the Chitauri, the Kree, the Skrull, and even beings like Thanos. Who's to say that these things won't find some way to us as well? That is why I came to believe if we want to stop this from being our problem in the future, we should send someone to help those people deal with it on their world now, and after many, many lengthy discussions with the Space Administration, SHIELD, and even groups like the Avengers and Fantastic Four, I was proud to learn my feelings were shared by others. So today, for the first time ever, the OZ-Gate will be used to send a team of brave soldiers and astronauts to this strange world in an attempt to aid these people against the threat they face." A huge stir rose up amongst the crowd when they heard about this, and it only grew when Harry mentioned that last part. Naturally, there were some people who protested this idea profusely, but Harry did not let any of these people deter him from his decision. "I understand this is asking a lot, but I was and still am only asking. I've made this point very clear to each and every member of the team who volunteered for the mission, and they all accepted the risk just as much as their leader had. A man who braved some of the greatest hazards Space has had to offer and then some, and who is here to lead his team into the OZ-Gate for that very mission today: Colonel John Jameson."

A loud round of applause immediately followed the announcement of the heroic astronaut, who only stopped to shake hands with Harry before stepping up to the podium so he could give his own address to the crowd. "Thank you, Mister Osborn," Colonel Jameson started off.

"Oh, please, call me Harry. Mister Osborn still reminds me too much of my father," Harry insisted with a slightly bitter tone that very few people missed.

"Right, sorry," John immediately apologized, recognizing the sensitive ground he had almost stepped on before continuing with his speech. "As Harry just said, this mission was completely voluntary, and after hearing about what those creatures you saw were doing to people on this other world, I couldn't ignore it any more than he could. Granted, this will be the first time a manned expedition team will be sent through the OZ-Gate, but that won't stop us. These are people we're hoping to make into our newest next door neighbors, so we can't just ignore them when they need our help. Besides, Harry's people worked their butts off making sure that the thing will work like it's supposed to, so I'd hate for them to have put all their hard work to waste by leaving them without anyone crazy enough to try."

The colonel's little joke certainly seemed to help reassure everyone, and earned him a round of applause in approval for this daring plan. Of course in some cases, it was far more than just applause. "Yeah! WHOO-HOO! Alright Johnny! That's my boy," J. Jonah Jameson excitedly cheered, all sense of professionalism seemingly forgotten in favor of the pride he had in his son. He then clapped the photographer next to him on the shoulder as he boasted, "See that, Parker? Make sure you get plenty of good photos, because that's a real hero up there."

"Yeah, so you keep saying, Mister Jameson," Peter Parker commented once he got a chance to pause in his rapid-fire picture snapping. Of course, he did have to quietly add, "About fifty times in the last hour alone."

In truth, while getting pictures for the Bugle and a possible raise in his paycheck did serve as a big bonus, Peter was here just as much for Harry's sake as his own. His best friend had expressed concerns that something could go wrong, especially with such a public showing of the OZ-Gate in action like this, and before he even got to asking, Peter had happily volunteered to make sure Spider-Man was close at hand to help avert any disaster. The relief Harry felt from having this promise could not have been more apparent, and it made Peter feel really happy to know he could help his friend out even after everything they had been through in the last couple of years. Still, Peter could not help but feel a little nervous as well, and not just for the reasons Harry had mentioned to him when he asked for help in keeping the OZ-Gate secured. Aside from the fact this incredible invention was a prime target for any number of villains and organizations like HYDRA and the like, something about those creatures they all just saw on the video screens gave Peter a very worrying niggling inside. Even just looking at the pictures Harry had shown him before this event made him feel like his Spider-Sense would be going crazy from being near those things. Harry may have assured both him and everyone here that none of the things got through the gate the probe had been sent through, but a part of Peter still worried they could become a really big problem a lot sooner than they could realize.

Right when he was thinking of big problems and raising his camera for another round of pictures, Peter caught sight of something out of the corner of his eye, and it was not something he would consider pleasant. The thing in question was a tall, rather buff man with blonde hair dressed in a black muscle shirt and blue jeans, but more than that, it looked a lot like Peter's former Bro, Eddie Brock. Realizing this drew Peter's gaze fully over to the spot where he had seen Eddie, or where he thought he saw him, but when he did look the man was already gone. Instead, there was another familiar face, and this one was decidedly much friendlier.

Smiling for a brief moment, Peter decided to go and meet up with this particular friend, but not before he gave Jameson a quick excuse to cover his absence. "Hey Mister Jameson," Peter tried calling out over Jonah's excited cheering. "I've gotta go and grab my spare memory card real quick. I think this one's about full."

"Yeah, sure Parker. Just make it snappy," Jameson waved off, clearly only just paying enough attention to what Peter said to know he was going somewhere for a little bit.

It did not bother Peter too much. Frankly, he was just glad he could get away from Proud-Papa-Jameson for a little while. It was really disorienting seeing the man so happy and yelling for reasons that did not include firing someone. Usually him for not bringing in photos that proved his web-swinging alter ego was anything other than a hero. Either way, any excuse to get a break from Jameson was a good excuse in his book, and it did not get much better than the excuse he was heading towards.

The individual in question was a young woman about the same age as Peter, only she held a much more noticeable level of professionalism about her. Maybe it had something to do with the blue and white SHIELD uniform she was currently wearing, or how she was effortlessly ignoring all the wandering, sometimes lustful stares following her very gorgeous figure as she walked along the perimeter of the presentation. Whatever it was, some people likely wished they had it, but Peter knew better because he knew the woman underneath that armor very well. After all, he had played a very important role in her becoming a SHIELD agent to begin with, and in her becoming something much more than that too.

"I knew SHIELD was going to send some of its best agents to this, but I didn't think they'd send one of their youngest too," Peter teasingly commented once he got close enough.

The young woman smirked in response before turning around to face Peter and replied, "Hey, you know me. I always prefer to take any assignment that lets me stay in New York instead of one that either puts me behind a desk or in some distant country. I've had more than enough globe-trotting as is during my old days."

"You say that like you never got sent anywhere nice," Peter noted.

"Considering who was organizing my travel plans back then, any 'nice' place I got sent to probably isn't too nice anymore," the woman pointed out.

"Well that took a bit of a dark turn," Peter muttered under his breath before addressing the woman directly again. "We really need to do some more work on your small talk skills, Jess."

"Or we could just work on your skills to keep quiet," Jess suggested as an alternative. Both of them were silent for a few moments before they both started laughing like they had just heard the silliest thing ever. By the time they had calmed down, Jess had already pulled Peter into a quick, warm hug. "Great to see you, Spider-Brother."

"Likewise, Spider-Sister," Peter nodded in return.

Hey, Peter again. I'm sure some of you are probably wondering who this person is, so I'm going to enlighten you all a little on her deal. Ladies and gents, this is Jessica Drew, aka your friendly neighborhood Spider-Woman, and yes, I did give her permission to use the name, even if she had technically been using it well before we ever met. We first met about a year after I became Spider-Man, but at the time, we weren't exactly on the same side. It all started with HYDRA's latest plot to either take over the world, destroy SHIELD, or some other thing. All I know for sure is that HYDRA was involved, and they were attacking the Helicarrier. Too bad for them I just happened to be on board with Captain America and Black Widow at the time. Why? Well long story short, I just had an awesome team-up with the two to take down a major baddie who happened to be pretty high up there on SHIELD's most wanted list, and as a show of thanks for my help, Cap thought I might like a tour of the Helicarrier. I totally did not have a complete fan-boy freak out moment when he offered. Don't listen to Hawkeye if he tells you differently.

Anyway, while we were there, HYDRA attacked, and at the forefront of things were two of their best supervillain assassins. One of them was Winter Soldier, who Cap went after personally, and the other was a mystery woman who was reported to have powers similar to mine. Hearing that someone else with spider powers was attacking SHIELD headquarters definitely got my attention, and at first I thought it might have been Chameleon trying to frame me again. At least until I got to the bridge and saw that the person in question was a woman. That woman was none other than Jessica Drew, and apparently, her mission was to kill Nick Fury. Lucky for us, we managed to stop the whole thing, even if Winter Soldier did get away, but we did manage to contain Jessica.

Afterwards, we got to learn her whole back-story, and boy is it a doozy. Apparently HYDRA had been trying to create super soldiers with spider powers for years, long before I had ever shown up, but the only success they had was Jessica, and they ultimately decided it was not worth the effort. Then I appeared and they renewed their efforts with Jessica being their primary test subject for figuring out answers as to why it worked on her and not anyone else. They never figured it out, but they did manage to make her one of their top agents, and proceeded to give her the usual HYDRA brainwashing. Luckily a few sessions with Professor Xavier helped to clear all of that out of her head, but even before that, it was pretty clear just from our encounter on the bridge she was resisting it to some small extent. It started making me think incredible stubbornness might be a spider-person thing.

More importantly, I was kind of worried they would lock her up despite the fact she did not want to actually hurt anyone, but to my surprise, I ended up running into her the next time I was out on patrol. Apparently Fury was impressed with her ability to resist HYDRA's brainwashing and the powers and skills that allowed her to get past SHIELD security, so he gave her a job as his newest and youngest agent. These days, she tries to only take assignments that allow her stay here in New York, but only on the grounds that she wants to stay close to the first real home she's had in a long time. Needless to say, we've gotten pretty close after all this time; we're practically family even, as you probably noticed from the nicknames we just used. Personally, I think it would be nice if everyone had a friend like Jess, especially since my last sibling-like best friend ended up getting turned into one of my most dangerous enemies.

Peter and Jessica spent a few more minutes catching up with one another, discussing small and big things that have happened to them recently, along with any major updates that could be important to their more heroic lives before they eventually came back around to the matter responsible for bringing them both here today. "So do you really think your friend's idea is worth the risk?" Jess just had to ask.

"Considering Earth's history with alien invaders and monsters, I think Harry does have a point in saying we should try to nip this problem in the bud as soon as possible. Still, something about those monsters we saw in the video gives me a really bad feeling," Peter confessed as he looked back at the OZ-Gate. He then turned back to Jessica and asked, "Speaking of bad feelings though, did you happen to see Eddie Brock just now?"

"No. Why? Did you see him?" Jessica asked in return.

"I…I thought I did, but now I'm not so sure," Peter hesitantly admitted.

Jessica's face fell a little at seeing how uncertain Peter now looked, and knowing just how big a deal Brock was to her fellow spider, she felt she had to say something to him. "Pete, I know you and he were close, but that doesn't mean what happened to him was your fault."

"But it was, Jess," Peter insisted. "If I had just gotten rid of that stupid alien at the first chance I had, maybe Eddie wouldn't have turned into that monster. Maybe things between us wouldn't even be as bad as they are now."

"You don't know that, Peter," Jessica argued. "Besides, from what you and your other friends told me, things between you two were spiraling downwards well before he bonded with the symbiote. Not only that, but you also made it clear how addicting the power of the symbiote was. Anyone could have been taken in by it."

"Yeah, but that doesn't mean I can't still hate myself for getting taken in," Peter sighed.

Jess shook her head at Peter's insistent need to blame himself for all the problems around him. Sure, it was nice to see someone take responsibility for their mistakes, but Peter always tried to blame himself for everything short of the common cold. She was pretty sure Jameson was the only one who surpassed Peter in trying to pin the blame on her friend for so many things, even if it was only in regard to his wall-crawling identity. Still, just because she could not get him to drop his self-blaming habits today, it did not mean she could not try and alleviate his concerns about this particular matter.

"I wouldn't worry too much about Brock being here if I were you, Peter. Even SHIELD hasn't had much luck in tracking him down since he escaped from Ravencroft a little over a year ago. Same goes for that parasite that turns him into the monster he is now. In fact, the last anyone had heard, he was last sighted somewhere in LA," Jessica informed him. Afterwards, she placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder and said, "It's not possible for him to even be close by, Peter. You were probably just seeing things."

It took a little bit, but Peter eventually had to nod in agreement. "I know. I just can't help but worry about him. I mean, I know things have changed, but he's still my bro."

"Somehow Peter, I think you might be the only one between you two who still believes that," Jess sadly pointed out. She then smiled at him and commented, "Besides, now you've got your awesome, brilliant, and gorgeous Sis to watch your back."

Peter smirked a little at the last remark, and soon quipped, "I think you forgot modest."

Another round of laughter broke out between the two friends, earning Jess a grateful smile from Peter right when they heard the OZ-Gate start powering up. Turning back to the stage, they saw Colonel Jameson's team suited up and gathered before the gate, ready to move out, and reminding them of the reasons why they were here in the first place. They were just about to return to their original positions when something unexpected happened. Well, almost unexpected, seeing as they did receive one small warning in advance.

"Let me guess," Jess started to say, only for Peter to answer the question that had been right on the tip of her tongue.

"Yep. Spider-Sense," Peter confirmed, knowing hers was likely going off too. "Coming from…the OZ-Gate?"

"Not a good sign," Jessica commented, and just seconds later, one of the computers connected to the OZ-Gate began blaring loudly, making John and his team stop short of the slowly opening vortex. Soon after, several sparks of electricity began flashing off of the OZ-Gate's ring, and the vortex turned a rather nasty looking shade of violet. "And that's an even worse sign."

"No, that's an even worse sign," Peter corrected as he pointed to what had started coming through the vortex: a long, black arm with claws at the end, bone-like spikes and arm jutting out of it. Following the arm soon came the rest of the beast attached to it, and then there were two, then three, and then several more to make a small pack of the hideous beasts.

"What in the world is going on here?" John gasped as he and his team moved back. "Harry, I thought you said this gate couldn't let anything through until we set up a transceiver on the other side!"

"It shouldn't! The only way this could be happening would be if the initial probe we had sent were still able to transmit a transceiver signal somehow, but we made sure it would be completely destroyed upon termination," Harry insisted as he tried to reach the computer and work on shutting the gate down. Needless to say, he was not very successful. "We'll worry about that later! Right now we need to get everyone to safety. Colonel, get your team and everyone else out of here!"

"We're on it," John confirmed, dropping his supply pack and leading his team off to assist in evacuations. Naturally, one of the first people he ended up leading to safety was his father. "Pop, come on! We've gotta move!"

"Johnny, no! I won't just leave you here to deal with this chaos on your own," Jonah tried to insist, but his son was not hearing any of it. Instead, he shoved his old man out to safety with the rest of the press before turning back to help get some other people out along with the rest of his team and the SHIELD agents that had started springing into action.

The only agent who had not started acting the second things started going weird was Jessica, and that was only because she had disappeared so she could make a quick change of attire, much like her best friend had. When they did return to the scene, it was no longer as Peter Parker and Jessica Drew, but as the web-swingers of New York, Spider-Man and Spider-Woman. The first amazing save the duo pulled off was to pull one of John's teammates out of danger with a quick web-line, followed by a bio-electricity infused punch to the creature's head.

Seeing the two superheroes had arrived just in time to help, the SHIELD agents quickly refocused all their efforts on evacuating civilians, thinking it would be better to leave the monsters to the web-swingers. Not that Spidey had too many problems with that; the fewer things he had to worry about the better, and right now, he needed to put most of his focus on fighting the creatures that had decided to invade before they were ready. A sentiment Jessica had to agree with given how she was the one to make the agents' decision to focus on evacuations official.

"Focus on evacuations, and then set up a perimeter! We can't let these things get out into the city," Spider-Woman shouted to her team as she blasted another monster wolf, followed up with a snap kick to the side, a rapid spin-kick, and several punches to several of the others.

"Yes ma'am!" the nearest agents all replied as they moved to carry out their orders, sparing a few shots at the beasts in an attempt to make things easier for her. She may have been younger than most SHIELD agents, but most of them had long since learned to respect her authority at this point.

John on the other hand had an issue with her call. "What about the OZ-Gate? Until we can get it closed, those things are going to keep on coming!"

"If you have any suggestions on how we're going to get close enough to do anything to it, I'd love to hear them, Colonel," Spider-Woman snipped in return, all while keeping up her barrage of attacks. The only time she ceased firing bio-electric blasts was when she backflipped into the air, and only so Spider-Man could have a clear shot at some wolf monsters.

"Heads up, Fido," Spidey shouted as he pulled himself into striking range with his webs, punching it right in the jaw as hard as he could once he was close enough. Another wolf tried to get him from behind, but Spider-Man had already seen it coming and quickly kicked it out of the fight long enough to pin it down with his webs. "Here doggy, doggy, doggies," he then mockingly called out while peppering them with a series of web-bullets. "Spidey's got plenty of web treats for all of you. You just need to be nice pups and let me get you onto some leashes."

Apparently the wolf monsters were not too fond of the web-head's mocking, as one eventually managed to get the drop on Spider-Man, and smacked him right into the midst of several of its brothers with one swipe of its claws. Spider-Man let out a pained groan as he prepared to spring up and attack again, but the monsters ended up being sliced through before he could attack, courtesy of several razor bats. Interestingly enough, instead of just dropping over dead, the beasts seemed to disintegrate completely into smoke and dust, but Peter was a little more focused on who just pulled him out of the fire.

He did not have to wonder for long, as New Goblin came flying onto the scene with his sword ready and arm blades extended. He then rammed his glider into another monster after he had jumped off, and proceeded to slice and dice every other monster he could sink his blade into. When he finally deemed the area clear enough, New Goblin stopped to help pull Spider-Man to his feet again, earning a grateful nod from the web-swinger.

"Just so you know, when I asked you to be here and help keep everything safe, this is not one of the reasons I thought you would be needed for," Harry informed his friend.

"That's the superhero life for ya, bud. Nothing ever goes the way you expect," Spidey pointed out as he studied Harry's current appearance. "I'm just surprised to see you brought all this with you, and that you were able to get it past security no less."

"It helps when your name is on the event banner," Harry shrugged.

"Still, are you sure you want to be doing this? I know how you feel about so much as looking at anything Goblin-related," Spider-Man asked his friend.

Harry kept quiet for a second before he finally said, "This is my event, and I'm the one who brought all of these people here. Like hell I'm going to let anyone get hurt because of a risk I decided to take."

Peter understood what his friend was saying; probably better than anyone else could, and would have offered more than just a nod of thanks had Jessica not suddenly landed alongside of them and cut off all further conversation. "How about you boys finish gossiping later? We've still got a situation we need to deal with."

"Right," Spidey nodded in reply. "New Goblin, is it possible to shut the gate down? Maybe even reverse it so that these things are pulled back to where they came from?"

"Theoretically, yes, we can use the gate to push these things back home, but there's no way you guys can handle fighting these things off until the process is done, and I don't think I'd be able to help you fight while doing that at the same time," Harry replied.

"You don't have to," John informed him. "Just tell me how to make it happen, and I'll work the controls."

"Appreciate the offer, John-Boy, but last I checked, you didn't sign up for something like this," Spider-Man tried to refuse, but Jameson was not going to hear it.

"I signed on to help people fight these very monsters before they could make it to Earth. The only difference between the two situations is that they've already landed and I've got superheroes acting as my teammates," John argued.

As much as he hated to admit, Spider-Man knew the colonel had a point, so he had to relent to John's offer. "I swear, stubbornness must be hardwired into your family's genes, because you're as bad as your dear old dad," he joked.

"I'll take that as a compliment," John smirked in return.

Spidey then got everyone's focus back on the task at hand, and proceeded to give out assignments. "Alright, New Goblin, do what you can to get the colonel over to whichever computer he's gonna need to use to turn the OZ-Gate into a giant vacuum for these things. Afterwards, you can link up with Spider-Woman and me so we can cover him until he's done."

"And who put you in charge? Last I checked you can't give any of us orders, Counterpart," Spider-Woman reminded him, though she was only half serious. She knew exactly why Spidey was making such a call.

"The hell I can't. New York's my city, and more importantly, I'm an Avenger, and I'm the spider who was here first," Spidey joked back in response, and with that, he took off to land a hard swing-kick into several more monsters, prompting the others to fly after him.

It took a minute for New Goblin and Jameson to really get moving, since the former had to recall his glider before they could get airborne, but once they had, Harry only needed to slice his way through a few monsters in order to get John to the control necessary. He then proceeded to give John a quick run-through of how the controls worked, and how to get the OZ-Gate to do what they needed it to do, and then flew off to rejoin the two Spider-Heroes in battling the monsters. Thankfully, the instructions were very simple, and the only way things could go wrong were if something really extraordinary happened, or if John somehow hit something he should not due to outside interference. The latter seemed very unlikely given how fiercely the three heroes were fighting to keep the monsters away from him, but anything could still go wrong, so John elected to work as fast as he could.

All the while, the three heroes were making quick work of their foes. Now that they knew the beasts disintegrated after receiving enough damage, they felt it was a safe to assume they were not really alive, meaning they had no reason to hold back in their attacks. This was especially good news for the Spiders, since their enhanced strength meant they had to regularly pull their punches in most of their fights, so they were able to really cut loose and pulverize the creatures who dared to try and attack their home. Harry was also grateful for the fact there were no longer any civilians in the area, both because there was less risk of anyone being caught in the crossfire, and because he knew just how destructive his own weapons could be, a fact he made quite clear after destroying several of the wolf-monsters with multiple pumpkin bombs. Of course, even with how serious things were that was not to say they did not still have some fun.

"Hey Spidey! Think these mutts are up for a game of fetch?" New Goblin shouted as he tossed up some more pumpkin bombs.

Spider-Man easily caught onto what New Goblin had in mind, and snagged all of the pumpkin bombs with a web, spinning them around several times before letting them fly as he quipped, "Probably, but I think they're not gonna like how we add an explosive spin on the game."

The wolf-monsters did not like said spin, but their cries of pain and maybe some protest were drowned out by the explosions they had just been bombarded by. Several of the others ended up silenced when Spider-Woman came flying into to clothesline them all in one go, only stopping when she flipped over to land feet first into another wolf-monster's skull. The landing proved hard enough to shatter the bone armor on its head, but Spider-Woman hardly cared about that. She was more concerned with the latest of many jokes the boys had been throwing out since New Goblin had dropped off Jameson.

"Will you guys quit with the stupid jokes already?" Spider-Woman requested a little irritably, even as she proceeded to punch, kick, and even blast several more monsters out of the fight. "Even if these things did care about such things, neither of you are that funny. Shockingly enough."

She ended up emphasizing her point with another bio-electric blast to a monster she had barely even glanced towards, and that earned her knowing looks from both boys. "What?" she asked, not knowing why they were looking at her like that, but she quickly figured it out before either of them could say anything. "Okay, that one was an accident!"

"Whatever you say, Work-Wife," Spider-Man humored her before knocking another pair of monsters out with a split-kick, and then snagging to more to take down with his webs.

"Speaking of work-wives, I've gotta ask, are you two…you know?" New Goblin inquired, even as he continued slashing and bombing monsters around him.

It did not take long for either Spider to figure out what Harry was getting at. Jess was first to reply, even as she punched out another monster's lights. "No, we're just good friends."

"Yeah, the whole Work-Wife thing is just a running gag between the two of us. She's more like my sister than anything," Spidey elaborated as he peppered several more monsters with web-bullets, leaving them all tied up and open for when the other two blasted and bombed them into oblivion. "Why do you ask?"

"No reason," New Goblin shrugged after tossing out some more razor-bats. "I just figured it had been a while since you last went on a date with anyone aside from Black Cat and…uh, does she know about…?"

"Yes, she knows my secret identity, New Goblin. Like I said, she's family," Spider-Man nodded. "And second, do we really need to have this conversation right now? In the middle of a huge monster brawl?"

"Well it's not like we've really had much time to do it anywhere else, and frankly, I'm starting to worry about you, bud," Harry admitted. Even as he was cutting down some more monsters, Harry seemed particularly insistent in following this line of conversation.

"Geez, what're you, Aunt May? I've told you before. I'm just too busy dealing with all of this craziness to even think about dating," Spider-Man huffed, a little annoyed that his friend was prying into his personal life in the midst of fighting for their lives.

"Actually, I think he might have a point," Spider-Woman suddenly commented, much to Peter's surprise. "In all the time we've hung out, I don't think I've ever heard you mention anything about current or new relationships, even when there's no chance of someone overhearing us. It's always just about your previous ones."

"Et tu, Sister," Spider-Man growled as he punched down another monster, clearly showing how little he wanted to have this conversation.

His wish to avoid the topic of his love life ended up granted in a very bad way; namely, when John Jameson suddenly cried out in pain, drawing the three heroes' attention over to his position. From the look of things, one last monster had slipped through the OZ-Gate and attacked the colonel just as he had finished punching in the last commands into the computer. In an instant, the OZ-Gate's vortex changed from the sinister violet color it had been to a royal blue one, all while a powerful wind began pulling everything close by into it.

Thinking quickly, New Goblin and Spider-Woman started rounding up whatever creatures remained, and then threw them all back through the vortex, thinking it would be better to get these things off Earth quickly instead of just waiting for the OZ-Gate to suck them in. This left Spider-Man to spring into action and swing over to the colonel, grabbing Jameson the second he had landed in an attempt to save the man from getting pulled through too. Normally, Spidey would not have too much trouble dealing with strong winds since he could stick to the ground, and carrying Jameson with him should not have changed that, but the OZ-Gate's pull was so strong he ended up having struggle quite a bit. It did not help that he had to be careful with how he dodged the monsters his friends were throwing into the vortex.

Eventually, he ended up just firing a web-line to the nearest surface he could, thinking his webs would help anchor him in place a little better, but by this point, the vortex's windy pull had grown so strong that his webs ended up being pulled towards it instead of going in the direction Spider-Man needed them to go. "Okay, that's not good," Spidey muttered, even as he lowered himself to the ground a little more to try and get a better grip. "Hey, John-Boy, you still with us?"

"Ugh…Yeah, the thing just bruised me up a little," John groaned in response.

"Good, because I could use some suggestions on how we can both avoid getting sucked into that thing and sent who-knows-where," Spidey quipped in semi-seriousness.

"Hang on, you two," New Goblin shouted just as he came flying over to them. "I'm gonna try and fly you both out of here."

"Take him first! I can hold out a little longer with my stick 'em powers," Spidey instructed while carefully lifting Jameson over to Harry.

"Please tell me you don't actually call them that," Harry begged, and from the look on his face, John felt the same way.

"How about a little less criticizing and a little more rescuing?" Spider-Woman cut in before her partner could respond, flying over to help lift Jameson onto New Goblin's glider.

Once he had the colonel on board, Harry fired up his glider's thrusters to their maximum, but at that very moment, something on the OZ-Gate seemed to short out, causing the vortex's pull to grow stronger than ever. So strong that Harry could not escape its pull, and Spidey had to reach up and grab Spider-Woman's arm to keep her from being sucked in. It was all for naught, because in the end, Harry's glider could not handle the strain he was putting on it. The next time he tried increasing the power of its thrusters, the whole thing blew out, and both New Goblin and Colonel Jameson ended up falling off the glider and into the vortex behind them.

"HARRY!" Spider-Man shouted, and he quickly tried to catch either his best friend or the colonel with a web from his free hand, but the second he released his hold on the ground, his adhesive powers finally gave out, sending both him and Spider-Woman tumbling towards the vortex. Jessica tried to use her flight powers to help them escape, but all she ended up doing was slowing their descent into the vortex.

"This thing is going to suck up the whole city at this rate," Spider-Woman shouted over the wind.

"Not if we have anything to say about it," Spider-Man disputed, and he quickly fired off another web, this time aiming to snag something on the OZ-Gate. "On my signal, hit the ring with everything you've got! Maybe if we damage this thing enough, it'll shut down before anyone else gets pulled through."

"But if I stop focusing on my flying, we'll get pulled in," Jessica pointed out.

"All the better, because I'm not going to leave Jameson and my best friend to whatever's waiting for us on the other side of that thing," Spider-Man argued.

Seeing his reasoning, Jessica nodded in reply, and started counting down in her head for the moment when Peter gave her the signal. Peter fired a few more webs at various parts of the OZ-Gate that looked to be important, and then nodded to show he was ready. Giving one final nod, Jessica started slowly turning her attention to building up the charge in her bio-energy blasts, causing them to get closer to the vortex a little faster with each passing second. When they finally came to be almost right on top of the thing, she had drawn as much energy as she could up in addition to the usual amount she used, and that was the moment when Spidey finally decided to act.

"On three," Spider-Man called out as loudly as he could; tightening his hold on his webs just to make sure they were secure after he did. "One…Two…THREE!"

The moment she heard his last shout, Spider-Woman unleashed everything she had on the OZ-Gate, ultimately cutting off her flight powers all together. The blast struck its target, but by that point, both Spiders had been pulled in, and as a result, the web-lines Spidey had attached to the gate ended up tearing off every part they had been anchored onto. Having so many components forcibly torn free of the structure while being bombarded by such a strong energy blast caused the OZ-Gate to fluctuate for a few moments, until it finally shut down, closing the vortex completely.

A few hours later, SHIELD had arrived in full force with the Avengers and Fantastic Four providing whatever assistance they could in assessing the damage. A quick run through of the security feeds allowed them to see what had happened, including the part where the four brave heroes had all been sucked into the vortex before it had been closed. If they had entertained any hopes of keep this quiet, they ended up disappointed the second they allowed a certain newspaper publisher to force his way through the boundary meant for keeping everyone else out.

"This whole thing is Spider-Man's fault! He orchestrated this whole event in an attempt to further his whole hero charade, and now my boy's had to pay the price for it!" Jameson roared angrily, and he then rounded on the SHIELD director himself. "FURY! If there's even the smallest of chances that wall-crawling menace had survived, I demand that you start putting every resource you have into hunting him down, and not resting until he's caught, jailed, and run out of town at the very least!"

"He does know you can't have someone jailed and run out of town, right?" Hawkeye quietly asked his redhead partner.

"Do you want to try and explain that to him?" Black Widow questioned.

While Hawkeye seriously thought that over, Fury merely made sure to glare back at Jameson. "First off, don't ever speak to me like that again," Fury growled in a silent threat, making Jonah flinch back in recognition of his error in making demands of the SHIELD director. "Secondly, your son's not dead, Jameson, and Spider-Man played a large part in making sure of that."

"Oh really? Then where is he?" Jameson growled.

Reed Richards was the one to answer this question as he glanced upwards at the night sky and replied, "The same place as Spider-Woman, Spider-Man, and New Goblin. Out there, somewhere. And right now, the best chance they have of getting back is damaged beyond repair."

"Richards, I realize that it's bad, but is there some way to get the OZ-Gate fixed up?" Fury questioned. He did not like the idea of his people being left stranded on an alien world, even if technically speaking only one of the four people pulled into the vortex was one of his agents.

"Possibly, but there's no telling exactly how long it will be before we have so much as a safe, working model, and even then, none of them have the transceiver device necessary to allow them to get back through from their side," Mister Fantastic explained.

"In other words, even if we are able to get it fixed up, we'd just be building a tunnel that has one of its exits blocked off by a large, impenetrable glass wall, and that's assuming we can even get it open at the location where they landed, that they even landed on the world the Osborn kid had been planning on sending Jameson's team too, that they're even still together, and a number of other factors," Iron Man clarified.

"Well frankly, I don't care if we have to move heaven and hell itself. We're not leaving our people stranded on some alien world. So I suggest you big brains start working on whatever you can to help us get them back," Fury ordered, and for once, neither heroic scientist argued with him.

There was hardly any way of knowing what was going on. Wind was rushing against their masked faces as they were pulled or pushed along, while at the same time, several lights flashed and dimmed before their eyes. Sometimes it felt like they were being spun around in a random direction, while others it seemed like a simple straight slide. The whole experience left them feeling incredibly dizzy to the point where they both closed their eyes wishing this bizarre sensation would hurry and pass until finally, they fell to solid ground once again.

"Ooooh…Can we please…never do that again?" Jess requested as she slowly pushed herself up onto her hands and knees. Their landing had not been soft or easy.

"I don't think I can promise that, considering it…it might be our only way home," Peter replied with one hand clutching his stomach. Just as he had gotten into an upright position though, his other hand quickly snapped up to his mouth in response to the ill-feeling building up inside of him. "Jess, I think I'm gonna be sick."

"Go ahead. Even if I wanted to judge, I'd have no room to do it," Jessica woozily waved him off. She felt like she was going to throw up at any second too, and the pounding headache she currently had was not helping. At least, she thought it was a headache, until she realized that it was actually her Spider-Sense going off. "Oh great. Now what?"

Spider-Man managed to swallow back the bile in his mouth when he realized his own sixth sense was currently tingling like crazy too, and finally took notice of their surroundings. "Uh-oh," he muttered aloud. "Something tells me we just stepped out of the frying pan and into the fryer."

"What makes you say that, aside from the obvious I mean?" Jessica questioned.

Peter's only response was to wave a hand at their current surroundings, and said, "Call it a wild hunch."

Looking up at what Peter had been waving towards, Jessica saw that they had landed in the middle of a lush, green forest, and were now surrounded by more of those wolf monsters they had been fighting before. Only this time, they had even greater numbers and a few bigger ones backing them up too. Not only that, but now it was not just monster wolves that they had to deal with; there were a number of other types of monstrous animals with the same black fur and bone armor with the wolves. They could see several large bears, some small pig-like beasts, a few scorpions, and even a massive snake or two. Only one of the creatures did not seem to have any comparable animal features, but frankly, the two superheroes could not find it in themselves to care either way. All they knew right now was these things were snarling down at them and clearly looking to take a shot at the heroes who had defeated their buddies on Earth.

"Well, a little action should help make me feel a little better," Jessica decided as she finally stood up again, fists clenched and already buzzing with bio-energy blasts.

"And right now, I could go for the stress relief of punching monsters and bad guys," Peter agreed, eyes narrowing as he assumed his usual combat stance.

With a single roar, the creatures charged, not knowing the slaughter they just signed up for in challenging the spectacular Spider-Man and Spider-Woman. They would learn very soon though, and the rest of this world would learn soon after.

AN: So there you have it. Spider-Man has landed on Remnant, and with his partner Spider-Woman in tow. Now before anyone gets all uppity about anything, let me just explain a few things really quick. Things that you NEED TO READ BEFORE YOU REVIEW! Thank you.

First off, I know that in most continuities Spider-Woman is in fact older than Peter Parker, but for the purpose of this story, I needed them both to be the same age, or at least close to it, hence the reason why I had her aged down. At the moment, both of our Spider-Heroes are currently 17 years old, and Peter has been Spider-Man for about two years. Secondly, on another matter regarding Spider-Woman, and a matter I'm sure many of you are going to get on me about, is the fact that I gave Spider-Woman a Spider-Sense. I know, I know, you're about to scold me and say "Jessica Drew doesn't have Spider-Sense", assuming you haven't already, but for the sake of later events in this story (at least one event you have already gotten a little sneak peak at if you've read Enter the Spider-Verse: A Code Avengers Story), she needs to have a Spider-Sense, so Jessica gets a Spider-Sense. The only difference between hers and Peter's is that Jessica's isn't as omni-present as Peter's is. Or to put it another way, it doesn't go off at every single sign of danger or help direct her movements like it does for Peter when he's web-swinging or the like. It only makes itself known if there's a danger coming that Jessica is completely unaware of, and would remain as such unless someone or something brought her attention to it. So, holster those flame guns on that matter for now, please?

Secondly, in regards to details of Spidey history. Aside from what was actually covered here, you can assume that a good deal of it takes inspiration from the events of The Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon, with some minor exceptions. The biggest one being that Gwen Stacy did not exist on this Earth. The reason as to why will be revealed in a later chapter, assuming you did not read the sneak preview provided in RWBY Meetings, and another being how Harry did become New Goblin. And yes, he is in fact using the suit and tech he had in Spider-Man 3, so don't strain yourself too much trying to picture it.

Speaking of attires, at the moment Spider-Woman is currently wearing her classic red and yellow suit. You know, the one she's worn for what seemed like forever until after the events of the Spider-Verse comic book event. Meanwhile, our boy Spidey is rocking a suit that is similar in design to that of the one he wore in the final stages of Spider-Man Far From Home. Just replace the black portions of the suit (save for the spider-symbol and web patterns) with a very, very, very dark shade of blue. Like that one shade of blue that some people sometimes confuse for black.

Finally, I'm sure you caught a few other notable Spider-Man Easter Eggs in here, but I'd just like to point out one of the biggest ones, namely the one that helped inspire the events that brought our heroes to Remnant: the matter of the OZ-Gate. Now, the OZ-Gate itself is a completely original concept to this story, but the way it works is similar to how Spider-Man reached the world of Counter Earth in the show Spider-Man Unlimited. In point of fact, the two-part pilot of said show actually serves as the main bit of inspiration for how the beginning of this adventure unfolded, so...well, there ya go. That's the Easter Egg right there. Just to be clear, Spidey's not switching over to the suit he had in that show. At least not for a very long time. He's going to be sticking to his current suit for a good long while.

If you're wondering about what could have happened to John Jameson and Harry though, don't worry too much. They're both fine, and landed on Remnant too. Just not in the same part of Remnant as our two Spider-Heroes. It may be a little while before we see either of them again, but again, don't worry. They'll make their return before you know it. It'll just be a while before we actually see them again.

Now, I'd say that wraps things up for this chapter, so let's start the usual closing and move Onto the Preview!...

After finding their way to the nearest town, Spider-Man and Spider-Woman start their own little investigation of things they would need to know in order to better blend in on this strange new world. Lucky for them, Jessica's SHIELD pack ended up getting sucked through the OZ-Gate with them, so they don't have any trouble finding some outfits in order to blend in with the crowd. Sadly, they can't avoid drawing attention to themselves forever, because even on another world, there always seems to be a need for a friendly neighborhood superhero. Or two, in this case. Remnant gets its official introduction to the Spider-Heroes next time in…Chapter 2: Welcome to the Kingdom.
