AN: Well, guess it's time for the Tunnel Cave sto-

"Do that, and I'll slice your throat!"

Argh, Summers! Chill! I get it! I'll tell a different story.

"Good!"

Uhm... Guess I need to write something else then… So violent. Completely out of character. Anyway,

Prompt: You accidentally cause a disaster.

"Whoa, this place looks nice." said Sear as he and Vei left the portal, standing just outside a town.

Vei took a look at the nearby structures. "Seems pretty high tech. A human world?"

"You're not sure?" Sear saw a few pidgey flying overhead. "Oh, there are pokemon here."

"Well, I can't remember how my world looked, but the few other places we've seen and heard of, this seems more plausible to have humans." She noticed a few metal boxes on wheels moving around. "Well, this place has those car things, so humans are most likely."

The duo moved into the town, seeing pokemon everywhere, but not a human in sight, although from posters and billboards, it seemed like humans were around.

"This is unnerving, I'd say." Vei finally said, as they entered the commercial area, in which pokemon were busy doing their shopping, although the clothes stores were rather empty. "Like, that is definitely a human clothing store, but not a human to be seen."

"I'm agreeing with you." Sear said as a meowth biked past them. "Something is really off about this."

"It doesn't help that the poliwhirl behind us have been stalking us ever since we entered town."

"Great, type disadvantage as well." The quilava sighed as he looked at a group passing them, to naturally see where the poliwhirl was, as the water type poorly hid himself. "Hopefully he's as bad at fighting as he is at hiding." he said once he returned to look forward.

"I'd rather we not fight at all and just find those stupid specters." his glaceon partner replied.

"But... We're going to fight those things, though."

"You know what I mean!"

The duo left the busy streets, and entered a more industrial district. They headed down a dead end towards what seemed to be an abandoned facility, if the lights on the security camera weren't active. The poliwhirl had kept a distance, but was getting bolder when they had entered the district. If the duo could pretend to be cornered, they could get the jump on him.

"Okay, either he will approach us, or he will run away once we turn around." Vei said as they looked through the gate.

"He's approaching us." Sear didn't have to turn around to hear the water type running towards them.

"So stalking, or humans?" Vei asked, staring straight into the camera.

"Stalking." Sear replied as both stepped to the side and the attacking pokemon slammed straight into the gate, falling onto the ground. "And that was surprisingly easy." He looked down on the stalker. "Hey pal. Why you following us?"

"Uhm..." the stranger said, as he nervously looked between the pair. "I was... Well..."

"You're trying to lie." Vei said to him. "Just drop it."

"The portal." he quietly said.

"Oh..." Sear looked at the poliwhirl. "I guess that would be suspicious, no matter what world you're in."

The poliwhirl stared confused at the two.

"Anyway, second question. Where are all the humans?" Vei then asked.

"Well, hehe... That's quite a long story." the poliwhirl said as he rolled onto his stomach, but before he could get up, Vei had placed her front paws on top of him.

"Yeah, no running till you tell us. We have some time to kill." she said.

"Well, it all started with this portal opening up in the sky."

"So the entire human and animal population got turned into pokemon then..." Sear mused after their captive finished his story.

"And our targets are literally all across the globe." Vei continued, annoyed with those news.

"Those things haven't actually done anything. They just look at a distance."

"So kinda like what you did?" Vei was still a bit unsure of the poliwhirl's motives.

"Hey, after the first pair of pokemon that arrived through such a portal holed up in there, strange things have happened." The poliwhirl pointed past the gate. "Then you two arrived, so I was nervous that more crap is going to happen."

"First pair?" Vei inquired.

"A malamar and an elgyem." the limbed tadpole elaborated.

Vei and Sear looked at one another, then at the water pokemon, then back to themselves. "This could be it." Vei said.

"You think that they are responsible?" Sear asked her.

"Don't know, but we might actually get some answers!" Vei looked towards the poliwhirl. "Thanks. You have a name?"

"Mike." He replied.

"Thank you for the information, Mike." Vei said, then turned towards her partner. "Now, let's get this job done!"

"Uhm, you do know they're watching, right?" Mike said, pointing at the camera.

"So? Just means we have to not head blindly into a trap. We've had similar jobs back home." Sear said as he moved back before slamming into the gate with a Headbutt, the metal barrier falling off its hinges. "Ladies first." He gestured to Vei, who graciously bowed before storming into the premises.

Inside, large cauldrons were boiling all kinds of things that the duo couldn't determine what was, while barrels and bags with dubious contents were strewn about the place.

"Can I just say-" Vei's tail turned white as she spun around swatting the nothing between her and Mike a little further behind.

"What are you doing here?!" she hissed.

"Strength in numbers." Mike answered. "And if those two have something to do with those specters of yours, then maybe they can explain what happened to the world."

"Just be careful." Sear advised. "This place is dangerous even without all the boiling... stuff."

"Will do. Anyway, can I just say that this seems way too video-gamey?" Sear and Vei looked at Mike, not sure what he meant with his statement.

"Elaborate?"

"There are explosion warning labels on those barrels. Hit them and this place goes up in smoke. And they are just randomly strewn in the open. Video-gamey."

"Don't hit the barrels. Got it." Vei said as the trio slowly sneaked forward.

They neared a cross section, and just as Vei was about to look around the corner, a metal claw came swiping, Vei barely dodging the attack. The trio backed off as a group of metallic entities emerged from both sides. "Great! Just what we needed. Metallic automatons."

"Robots." Mike corrected the ice type.

"Oh, Axelia has talked about those." Sear said with a smile, before concern took over again as he could hear movement behind him.

"Don't hit the barrels!" Vei called out as she sent out a powerful Blizzard towards the robots, throwing them back, while Sear fended off the attackers from behind. Mike did his best, but had to focus solely on dodging, unable to find an opening towards the metallic monstrosities.

Before he could react, Sear jumped over him and slammed the robot away as Vei dashed around him and hurled away a pair of robots with another Blizzard. But before they could breathe a sigh of relief, a loud sound blasted their ears as a shockwave passed through them.

"Well... I technically didn't hit the barrel." Sear said. The other two looked to see a robot in flames, bathed in the unknown chemicals. Then another explosion occurred. Then another. "But I don't think we should stay."

"Retreat!" Mike yelled as he dashed, without thinking, past the robots Vei had previously blown down. Vei and Sear were right on his heels, throwing the occasional attack towards an approaching assailant.

The explosions were starting to surround them when they reached the exit, smoke filling the factory floor. By the time they reached the outer perimeter the entire factory was on fire. Then a high burst of air threw them down the dead end as the factory turned to ash, the surrounding buildings starting to crumble as well.

"Oops." was all Sear could say as smoke started to rise from the affected buildings.

"Hopefully the firefighters can handle that damage." Mike mumbled as he looked at the crater where the factory they were just in used to be. "Follow me. I think I know a route where we won't be seen by authorities."

"Thanks, Mike." Sear said as they started to leave.

"No problem... uhm... I never got your names."

AN: Coming back, it is weird for me to see glaceon Vei be more subdued.
