Prompt: Write a sequel to a past prompt or story.

Vei stared with her bloodshot eyes at her partner, finally calm after weeks of pained grunts and cries of warnings in his unconscious state, his dried blood still on her face as a cruel reminder of that day. She had lost track of how long they had both been in the infirmary, and she didn't care. She would stay there until he would wake up.

"Vei…" Sear called out for her once again. "Watch out…"

She placed a paw on his. "Don't worry. I'm fine." she replied, pain in her voice as her partner shifted in the bed.

"Good…" came from the fire-type.

Vei smiled at his reply. "Wait… Sear?" She called out to him. Was it a coincidence that he replied?

"Vei…" Sear said, stirring. "Pain… Water…"

Vei's ears stood on end for a moment, the glaceon shocked at what her partner just said. "Sear, are you there?"

"Yes… Water… Pain…" the quilava replied, voice as coarse as pebbles in a gravel pit.

"Right, water. I'll get some." She jumped off the chair she was sitting on and rushed out the room. "There better be someone here or I swear." She barely managed to finish her thought before she crashed into a dewott. "Joshua? Great. Sear is asking for water, so get him some." Vei got back up on her feet, a smile slowly forming on her face as she started to head for the exit.

"Sear asked for… Wait, what?" Joshua got up, confused as to what just happened. "Right, water." With that, the water type rushed to fetch a glass.

Outside in the main square, different groups were talking together about this and that when Vei rushed out of the infirmary. For those that could see her, they stopped what they were doing and just looked at her, causing those they were with to turn around and see what the fuss was about.

"Don't need to call for their attention, I guess." Vei thought to herself, as she looked over the crowd. "Actually, maybe I should." She stepped forward and drew in a big breath of air. "EVERYONE, ATTENTION, PLEASE!" Her voice boomed across the square. "I NEED ALL THE DIFFERENT CURATIVE BERRIES, HEAL AND REVIVER SEED POWDERS ALONG A POTION OR SOMETHING SIMILAR!"

The others were stunned, not sure how to react.

"GUYS, YOU HEARD THE LADY!" came a voice from the Arrival Plaza. Out came a reddish orange ninetales along with a grovyle. "Axelia, Anny, Flora, get to the kitchen. I assume we're making a health soup or smoothie."

"It's a soup." Vei stated.

"Soup it is." the ninetales stated and turned her attention back to the crowd. "The rest of you, gather up the ingredients, and grab a Full Restore instead of a Potion. Way more potent."

The crowd scattered as Vei approached the two. "Who are you?" she asked the ninetales.

"Wait, did I forget my band?" She looked at her right shoulder. "No I didn't."

Vei looked at the band then back at the fox. "Blazewind? You evolved?"

"We have been needing some more firepower since… you know."

Vei just nodded. "Okay. Uhm, I will go help in the kitchen to make sure the soup is fine."

"Summers, you help there as well, I will see if the store has materialized something useful." With that, the remaining trio split up.

Vei had rushed ahead of the soup carrying group back to Sear's bed. Joshua jumped off the chair and offered it to Vei, who accepted. "How is he?" she asked.

"When not asking for more water, he is calling out for you." Joshua said, poking his head over the bed.

Vei smiled and placed a paw on Sear's belly. "Don't worry. I'm here." she said.

Sear's face changed into a content look. "Vei."

"Pretty sure she will kill all of us if we spill even the smallest drop." came a voice from the corridor, as Summers and Axelia brought in the soup. The haxorus filled a bowl with the soup and handed it to the grovyle.

"You want to feed him, or I?" Summers asked the ice-type.

"If I could, I would." Vei said as she gave the grovyle some room. "So… why are there small clouds swirling around it?"

"Dynamix Curry Seasoning." came from the nickit accompanied by Blazewind and a wooloo. "Even if it's called Curry Seasoning, it can also be used to season fried meat or used to spice a soup. Should also help with energy for some hours."

"Thanks for the explanation, Nick." Blaze said.

"No problem." the nickit replied, before getting nuzzled by the wooloo.

"Alright. Everyone not doing anything, out." came from Summers. "We don't want this place to be crowded."

With a nod, Blazewind left, followed by Nick, Mary and Axelia. "I will refill the glass and leave the rest to you." said Joshua as he picked up the glass and exited the room.

"Okay. Sear, open wide." Sear complied with Summers' order as he swallowed the first spoonful of soup.

His eyes shot up for a moment before they closed again. "Strong."

"That's the point." Vei said as Summers fed Sear another spoonful. Joshua popped in with the glass of water before quietly leaving again, as Sear slowly started to regain his energy.

"I will leave you two alone." said Summers once Sear was done eating the soup. "But I will be just outside if you need anything."

"We will be fine. If something comes up I will just leave the building and yell for someone." Vei said, smiling as she looked at her partner, who returned the smile.

"Alright. But please, don't stay in here for another forty seven days, okay?" Summers said as he left.

"Undesto… FORTY SEVEN?!" Vei did not believe her ears.

"Don't worry about it." Summers replied. "We will give you a briefing of what has happened once Sear can leave safely."

"That… That sounds great." Sear said, his eyes still not leaving Vei.

"Okay, I'm out." With that, it was just Vei and Sear left in silence.

"So… Welcome back partner." Vei finally said.

Sear laughed. "It's good to be back. Also, I have something to tell you."

"What?"

"I love you too." He looked away for a moment, blushing intensely. When he looked back, he could see Vei was blushing just as much, if not more than him.

"Y-y-y-you heard?" she stammered.

"I heard a lot of things, ms. Ramble." he chuckled. "But… Couldn't really reply as I was drifting in and out of consciousness constantly."

"Well then." Vei said as she smiled. "Wanna have some fun?"

"I don't know, I'm still sore all ov-" Sear wasn't able to finish the sentence as Vei had jumped onto the bed and started rubbing her head along his body. "Oh… If it's like this, then I wouldn't mind." he said as the two started to cuddle one another.

AN: This prompt was a god sent, because I really, really wanted to write the wake up scene after I did the prompt that sent Sear into the coma in the first place.
