The farmer kept trying to tug at his startled horse.
He'd inadvertently caused a scene when his cart was hit by a van. Advertently? Whatever the opposite of "inadvertently" was.
There was a scene though.
A police officer was writing him up for a traffic violation.
A sanitation worker was looking on in horror, wondering how he was going to clean all that mess up.
And there was a man, half fallen down the manhole.
Everyone was acting, of course. It was just a Disney ride.
But there really was a mess. There was fruit, vegetables, and chickens everywhere. Kids on bikes, trikes. Automobiles held up.
They were part of the world's first traffic jam.
At the end of every day, everyone in the scene would relax. Socialise. Maybe even leave the ride provided there weren't any guests still in the Park.
The farmer, the cop, the sanitation worker, and the manhole man knew each other pretty well. They were friends. After all this time together, they couldn't not be.
After work, they would hang out and laugh.
Then, during park hours, they would go back to their opposing roles in the traffic jam.
The guests were none the wiser.
The world's first traffic jam was legitimately a scene in World of Motion - there was a farmer who had his cart hit by an automobile, spilling out fruit, veg, and chickens out into the road. A cop wrote him up. A sanitation worker panicked about cleaning it, and a dude popped his head from a manhole. Also in the scene were figures in two automobiles, some figures riding a bus, a couple of kids on bikes - all held up in the incident - and some thieves stealing from an ice van - the cause of the incident.
