Chapter 17

The purple beam shoots into the sky forming eerie purple lightening as dark clouds slowly forms above it as the rain gets heavier and heavier as the threatening clouds expands, lightening shooting at the ground. Tiny walks through the rain. Miserable, depressed and scared, shivering as he is soaked and looking for shelter. He hears lightening striking behind, just assuming it's a normal storm when he noticed the lightening grow rapidly and louder. He slowly turn round to see a dark, sinister looking cloud with purple lightening grows closer. Tiny can feel this lightening is not natural and run as fast as his legs can carry, fearing for his life when he tripped, scraping his knee. He braced himself for a strike when the lightening went around Tiny, missing him completely as he is still waiting for his impending doom. He hears the sound of the lightnings fade away, wakes up to see himself still alive and see scorch marks in close proximity of him. He breathed a sigh in relief but is still shaken by what happened. He tries to recollect himself when he sees a decayed hand break out of the ground where the scorched marks followed by other hands clawing out of the ground. Tiny is petrified by what he's seeing and can feel himself be surrounded as he sees zombies crawling out of the ground with bright purple veins and he sees many eyes glowing purple at him. He sees he can't back away from them as he's still petrified seeing grotesque figures moving towards him when one of them fell on to him.

"Help….me….please…." it rattled out of its mouth, enough to make Tiny to scream in terror and run through the zombies, breaking through them easily, running as fast as he can without realising that broken body parts glowed purple and move to put the body parts back together and start chasing after him with death rattles coming out of them. Tiny just run and run as he can feel his legs going and a sharp pain at the side but still continue to run through the zombies as he continues being chased when he sees an abandoned building at the top of the hill. He sees more hands crawling out of the ground and sees them pulsing the same purple and immediately jump to avoid being grabbed and run to the door hoping it will protect him, burst through the door and tries to close it with the zombies trying to grab him from the door. Tiny push the door with all his strength to close it and keep it shut with a back of the chair. He's safe for now as the zombies are weak but there are hoards of them as he can still hear the banging and the death rattles. Tiny whimpers in the dark as he continues to hear the noises from outside and all he can do is stay here and wait in fear hoping it will all go away.

N. Gin and Coco were about to follow the strange device that is heading straight for the village when Coco feels an intense pain shooting through her body, screaming in absolute pain as the purple lightening surging through the body. N. Gin looks at Coco with pure terror has no idea how to help her.

"Gi-Gin-Ginny.." N. Gin hears a familiar voice and name from Coco as they're watching Coco struggling to lift her head up, and they see Coco's eyes bright purple with tears in her eyes.

"Help...me…..please…." N. Gin can tell that's Nadia speaking as she passed out from the pain, they carefully grab Coco and put her arm around their shoulders when they noticed a dark sinister cloud looming over them, covering the sun and the bright blue sky as lightening continues to strike at the ground, moving towards the village.

"We need to get to everyone." They pick up Coco on the back and run as fast as they can, hoping Nina is ok. When they got to the village, they see everyone lying on the ground completely unharmed but N. Gin noticed the scorch marks on the ground from where the lightening strikes. As they look closer, they see tiny shards of crystal dust within the marks. Nina who's still on the wheelchair with Tawna's arms around her protecting her. Everyone went quiet, trying to figure what happened but can feel like something's eerie is about to happen. Crash could see Coco slouching on N. Gin and immediately run up to them to take Coco in his arms while everyone is staying alert, looking around with their weapons out. Pinstripe itches closer to Tawna and Nina,

"Don't worry babe, I'll protect you" he whispered as Tawna stays really close to Nina.

"Be alert everyone. I can feel really dark energy emanating in this area." Everyone follow Aku aku's advice to stay alert waiting for anything to happen. As they were just about to let there guard down, a decayed hand crawled out of the ground and grab Nina by the leg. Nina became petrified by what she saw, bright purple eyes on a grotesque, zombified figure with purple veins shining through, climbing up her leg.

"Nina…..mummy's….here…" it rattled out causing Nina to go pale and let out a high pitched scream as the figure reaches out to her face when Pinstripe hit its head with the barrel of his gun.

"What the fuck?!" Pinstripe shouted as he hears fighting as he sees everyone, including the tribesmen and Papu papu fighting against these zombies, they were easy to destroy but Pinstripe the parts he smashed glow purple and slowly come back together. He has never seen anything like it and more zombies coming out, they are outnumbered. He sees N. Gin clinging on to Coco waving at him to come, Pinstripe gets the gesture.

"Tawna, take Nina over to N. Gin, we'll hold them off!" he shouts at Tawna and starts shooting at the Zombies as possible while Tawna pushes Nina's wheelchair at N. Gin's direction, when she got to them they immediately ran down the path.

"We have to get to the MechaBandicoot. We can protect ourselves in there." N. Gin says as they continue running.

"But what about the others?" Tawna exclaimed,

"We'll get back to them, for now Nina and Coco are more important." they set Coco down in the back seat as she let out a painful groan. Tawna went over to her side to check on her when N. Gin decides to check on Nina.

"Nina, are you ok?" Nina is still in shock by what happened, doesn't seem to notice N. Gin was there.

"Come on lets get you inside." N. Gin pushed Nina towards the robot,

"Would you be able to use your hands to get in?" N. Gin said nicely, Nina just nods her head and use her bionic hands to get in.

"N. Gin?" Tawna said in a shaky voice caught N. Gin's attention and went over to her,

"Look at Coco's arm." Tawna holds it out for them as N. Gin looks at it. They can see light purple veins glowing on her arm. N. Gin takes a closer look and see the veins look like tiny crystal shards like what he found on the scorch marks.

"What does it mean?" Tawna asked but N. Gin is afraid to answer. Truthfully, they don't know what it means but they have a feeling it's not good.
