It was one of those afternoons where nothing was really going on. A lazy day of cuddles on Zed's couch and watching old movies. Addison leaned back into Zed's chest, one of his arms draped lazily around her middle while the other hand played with her silky, soft white locks.

"Can I, do your hair?" He asked hesitantly. She smiled in amusement back at him.

"What's wrong with my hair?" She teased. Zed's eyes go wide.

"No, no! It's not that!" He quickly denied. Addison laughed, turning in his arms to gently cradle his jaw in her hand.

"I'm kidding Zed. Of course you can play with my hair!" She assured, leaning in for a quick peck before turning back around to face the tv.

Zed slid out from behind her and reached into the side table draw, emerging with two little hair ties. He repositioned them more comfortably so he had both hands free and got to work combing his fingers gently through her hair to separate it.

Addison closed her eyes, letting out a relaxed sigh as his fingers worked magic against her scalp. "It seems like you've done this before." She commented softly. He chuckled under his breath behind her.

"A few." He humored. "I used to have to do Zoey's hair while Dad worked long hours until she was big enough to do it herself." He explained. Addison hummed with understanding as she enjoyed his gentle manipulation of her locks.

"But what brought this on?" She asked purely out of curiosity.

"I was just," he paused for a moment then shook his head, "ya know what? Nevermind, I'm almost done." But Addison frowned, spinning in her seat to face him again and successfully making him drop the braid he was working on.

"You can tell me Zed." She insisted softly, wrapping her hands around his.

"Ok ok," he chuckled, "turn back around! I really am almost done!" He ordered teasingly. She smiled and did as she was told. He sighed and corrected the lost progress from his feisty girlfriend's impatience.

"I, um, I have just always loved running my fingers through your hair and, well, you let the werewolves do it in a different style, so I thought you might let me give you a new look just for kicks!" He rambled nervously. Addison softened but didn't move like she had before and messed up his work again.

"Aw, Zed. You can do whatever you want to play with my hair!" She assured.

"Really?" He asked.

"As long as you don't shave it." She deadpanned, drawing a fit of laughter out of both of them. Suddenly, Zed secured the last hair tie before pulling his hands back.

"Done!" He announced. She turned to face him and saw his entire face go so much pinker than she'd ever seen a zombie go before he dropped it into his hands. She tilted her head in confusion.

"Does it look bad?" She questioned in concern. He frantically shook his head still cradled in his hands.

"No you're too frickin' adorable with pigtails." He admitted, peeking through his fingers to see her smiling as she tackled him to the couch cushions in a hug.
