Not that the Cast Members and Guests knew it, but the It's a Small World dolls had names. Or at least epithets they knew each other as.

And right now, one of the French dolls was missing - a Cast Member noticed there was a tear in the dress. Just a small one, really - hardly noticeable. But it meant the doll had to be taken away for maintenance. Away from the rest of the dolls, just for a short time, really - a day at best.

It wasn't too bad Backstage, besides the dress having to be taken off to repair the seam. Otherwise, it was interesting. The costumers would talk to themselves. There was the odd comment that the Small World dolls were creepy.

Otherwise it was just weird being away from friends.

Once the costume had been replaced and the doll placed back, everyone got to hear all about Backstage.

There really is a person who does all the costumes of the dolls on It's a Small World at Disneyland. She fixes the dresses when they get damaged.
These dolls don't rave at night. Only the Disney World dolls rave at night. Different park, different ride, different dolls, different life experiences.
