"I'm sorry but as a baby you totally were" she said bursting into peels of laughter when Harry pouted.

Chapter 17 - Shopping
They day after they came back they headed to Diagon alley to purchase school supplies before the usual last minute rush.
Before they left the portraits had them write a list of everything they needed not only for school but to also show their social standing. William had even urged them to a shopping street called Ludlow Crescent where they sold magical things unknown to the majority of the wizarding population. First they stopped in Ollivanders wand shop. Since their old ones felt distant unlike before. Most likely due to the sudden change in their magical cores though Ginny's never bonded with her anyway as it was second hand.
The bell above the door jingled half heartedly as they stepped inside the dark and cluttered shop. "Lord Potter! Lady Potter!" Olivander called as they entered. The pair exchanged an uncertain look not wanting the ministry to know of their new status.
"Don't worry I will keep it secret. I only know because I can see the aura around you" that made sense Ginny thought to Harry. Harry also made the connection she did.
"Thank you" Ginny said smiling at the eccentric man
"What are we needing today?" Olivander asked them his eyes constantly moving studying them both.
"Custom wands. 2 each" Harry stated.
"And wand hollisters" Ginny added. Olivander nodded, snaping his fingers the shop sign changed to closed as the blinds fell down diming the room further.
"Follow me" he said leading them to a back room. "To select any materials for a custom wand you must let your magic free. Your magic will bind to compatible materials." Olivander explained.
"Is this all of your wand materials?" Ginny asked
"My heavens no! No this is only the woods. I may use two on one." He then opened a drawer "Then these are the wand cores" he closed that drawer and opened another "And these are stronger cores and woods for only the most powerful of witches and wizards. Now let's begin" Harry went first. He let his magic flow freely around him. His magic selected. Aspen and Blackthorn wood. And for the cores it selected three. Basalix venom, dragon scale and Phoenix feather. For the second wand his magic chose beech and Cypress. The core selected was unicorn feather.
"Something feels empty with this wand Lord.Potter" a moment later Harry disappeared from the room and a magical Griffin took his place. Ollivanders eyes widened in shock as he plucked a scale from him. Before Harry reappeared. Ollivander then set about making his Wands by fusing the woods and the cores together in intricate patterns. When Harry was handed the first wand - the Aspen and Blackthorn wood - he felt a humming in his body. A very minor swish of the wand turned the room into a garden as the wand glowed a blindingly bright whit gold colour. The woods themselves were twirled together and a warrior rune decorated the bottom. Everyone in the room smiled at the results produced. Ollivander then handed him the second wand - Beech and Cypress - it shimmered in a rainbow of different colours as a collection of baby magical animals flew out the tip. This wand had a rune of loyalty on the handle and the wood was fused together in a series of random shapes.
"A most tricky collection of materials Lord.Potter but some of my best results." Ollivander said with a grin. He then gestured for Ginny to step up. Her magic filled every corner of the room causing a wave of comfort to wash over everyone as it wrapped around them like it approved. When it dissipated the woods and cores for her wands where floating in mid air. For the first wand her magic chose cherry and English oak. The core was a strange one though Mermaid hair and Phoenix tears. The second wand had pear and Laurel wood with a core of a Crup hair and fire from a Chinese fireball dragon. Ollivander repeated the wand making process of binding the cores and fusing the words. The second wand seemed to give him a little bit of difficulty however Ginny's magic transformed her into a magical border Collie. Ollivander looked confused until she started salivating he took some of the saliva from her and added it to the wand. Finally it worked. Satisfied he turned and handed her the first wand - Cherry and English oak - a magical hum filled the room as a wand glowed Blinding white and Gold. She hadn't put away the first wand when she grabbed the second wand. Both wands glowed a rosy pink colour as animals shot out one while flowers shot out of the other.
"You too have immense power inside you for your magic to select those materials for your wands. We can expect great things from you." Ollivander told them
"Thank you" Harry said while Ginny started at the wands in awe.
"Nonsense it was a pleasure. Now here are two wand hollisters each. If you tie them to your wrist and put your wands in the wands shall disappear from view but a simple flick of the wrist and the wand shall appear in your hand they also have Anti Summoning charms and invisibility but they will always be by you if you drop some of your blood on them the same for your wands." He explained leading them out the back room and to the counter. They paid for the wands before leaving the shop.
Their next stop was Madam Malkins Robes. A short yet plump woman came out of the back room just as the entered.
"Hello" Harry said "We require some robes"
"Yes of course just stand on those pedestals" she said pointing. A few moments later when she'd gathered all of her supplies she came over to them "What robes shall you be needing"
"Hogwarts year 2 and year 3 robes and some fancier ones. Along with everyday robes." Ginny explained
"The non Hogwarts ones should bear a house crest" Harry said Madam Malkins nodded and got to work getting their measurements. She added a few inches for room to grow in the Hogwarts robes. Afterwards she pulled out a selection of fabrics and colours for them to chose from for the other robes. In the end they left the shop 600 gallons lighter and shrunken parcels of robes in their pockets. They went in Flourish and Botts as well as Quality Quidditch Supplies, the Apothecary and Owl Emporium. The final stop was another clothes shops for some dress shirts and trousers. They then went to Peters Protection in knock turn alley for the protective armour to wear under their day clothes and a few holders for concealed weapons like a leg dagger strap. Once they were done in Digon and Knockturn Alley they went to
Ludlow Crescent entering one shop they saw contained muggle items turned magical. Things like comics and notebooks.
They chose to pick up notebooks for each of their respective subjects since they would be more organised than lots of separate pieces of parchment. The coolest thing about them was if you wrote a keyword in the top corner of the page then on the front page a contents appeared with a page number. The books also had never ending spells on them so they'd never run out of paper but it never had more than one page at the back empty. They did ask and the owner said for any homework if they wrote it in the books they could duplicate it onto parchment. They got each book embossed with their names and the subject along with a colour charm to easily tell all the books apart. Harry picked up a few to gift to Hermione for her birthday too since he felt bad for never celebrating her birthday before Ginny helped him to pick out some of the designs for the bookworm.
The last stop they made was to a jewellers. They figured that it wouldn't be strange seeing them purchasing jewellery from here unlike at Diagon if someone they knew were to see. Like a reporter.
Entering the shop they saw rows of gleaming display cases proudly displaying different types of jewellery as far as they could see.
Together they headed down the rows to the rings and found two there that they liked the look of so they had a shop assistant hold them while they went to the bracelets. There they found two white gold bracelets one with emerald and one with ruby decorations in the groves of the patterns. Just before they went to the desk they stopped to look at the watches and necklaces. Finally leaving the shop with watches each one formal, two everyday ones and one for sport. Two locket necklaces one in the shape of fire and the other in the shape of a snitch . Finally the rings. These they would say were promise rings. They were sliver and white gold with an engraving on the inside from the other to symbolise their commitment and the soul bond.
"Even though I love you Harry I'm thankful to have our space back" Ginny said gazing at the ring Harry had given her.
"I agree Ginny having to pee together was a bit odd" Harry said taking her hand.
Finally done they went to muggle London to purchase some comfortable clothes for off hours when they were alone. Ginny had lots of fun getting Harry to try on endless amounts of clothing in there but agreed he was a champ in the shop. Eventually getting a new entirely fitting wardrobe of T shirts, shirts, shorts, longer trousers like jogging bottoms and jeans in different colours. Socks, vests and pants were included. Harry also helped her to find some new clothing as she was quickly growing out of her own from the elf's food and all the exercise. Weighed down with numerous shrunken parcels they finally headed back to the castle and got the elves to put away their purchases and pack for the school year while they went to play some wizarding chess determined to one day beat Ron.
