asdfTen years sure flies by.
I'd visited every single Pokémon region up to Galar. I'd fought in all of the tournaments at least once, and won each of them once. I'd also taken part in a bunch of contests, because I wanted something to break up the monotony of the gym challenge. I'd bested Team Aqua and Team Magma (or at least their remnants), and even faced Rainbow Rocket a few times. I'd met and fought a bunch of Legendary Pokémon, and even captured a few.
I'd seen a few wonders that no one on my home Earth would ever believe if they weren't there to see it themselves. I'd fought battles against entities revered as gods. I'd made friends with all kinds of people, and caught enough Pokémon to fill up a zoo. I'd made a lot of memories.
And I bet that people are wondering how my journey here ended. Did I engage in one final battle to defeat another villain team. Did I challenge one of the gods of this world to a duel?
Hate to disappoint you, but things ended quite a bit more quietly than that.

Sitting beneath a beach umbrella, I watched as my pocket monster companions enjoyed the sun and fun. Water types glided through the waves, with a few courageous Pokémon using a Mantine as a surf board. Several of the bug types had gotten into a sandcastle making match with the ground and rock types, while the grass types took in the sun for some extra feeding...I think. The fire types I'd amassed were already getting a luau set up, while everyone else was just finding their own way to enjoy the water. As for me, I was just waiting for things to come to an end.
It was all so relaxing, like nothing could go wrong...yeah, something would probably go wrong.
I heard the rustling of the wind, followed by something large traveling through the air and landing behind me. Slowly, I turned around...and gaped.
There, maybe ten feet away from me, was Arceus.
The only pokemon I had never encountered in my travels.
"...Um, hi?"
"Hello. Are you the one known as Neil?"
"Yeah, that's me." No point in lying to a god.
"I see. You've made quite a spectacle here, haven't you."
"I have."
"Impressive, really. Especially from one not of this world."
...WHAT?!
"Hmm, I presume that you are wondering how I knew this?"
I just stupidly nodded my head in affirmation.
"Well. that's a rather simple affair - the who put you here told me."
Huh?
"Some girl with white hair told me that you were coming here, and tried not-so-subtly to get me to confront you, telling a story claiming that you were a monster and would bring ruin wherever you went. She wasn't very convincing, and dropped the charade after a while."
"I see. Did she mention why she did that?"
"She mentioned that she wanted you to have a little bit of a surprise in your adventures. Something to keep you on your toes. Supposedly, she would give you rewards for overcoming them, though she never stated what they are."
"I see. So why did you come to see me now?"
"You're interesting, and I wanted to see what you would do once your journey was complete. I admit lazing the days away was not something I expected."
"Sorry to disappoint. So, what now?"
"...Do you mind if I join you for your...party, I presume?"
"Am I in a meaningful position to say no?"
"...Not really."
"For the record, I would have said yes anyway."
"Thank you."
Surprisingly, having a god over for dinner was rather boring.

When I woke up the next day, I found myself once again in a white room with Jump-Chan, who was smiling at me. Not sure what emotion best characterized that smile.
"Enjoy your time?"
"Yeah. Could've used a bit more action, but it was a good start."
"Excellent."
"...Can we talk about Arceus, for a moment?"
"You want to know why I was trying to pit him against you, don't you?"
"Actually, I just wanted to know what the reward would have been for overcoming whatever challenge he was involved in."
"Oh. Well, that's actually rather easy to explain - some extra CP for the next jump."
Wait, what?
"CP?"
"Yes. I know for a fact that you are a bullheaded completionist who will work your ass off to complete a task, especially if you get a reward for it. So here's my offer to you - on an jumps from the next one onwards, I'll give you an extra drawback or challenge. You won't see it on a jump-sheet, and you won't know what exactly it is until you stumble upon it yourself. You won't know what the rewards are, though I can guarantee you will get a CP payment for completion - just not if that is all that you will get. Is that acceptable?"
...Damn it, this girl knew me too well. Not surprising, since she was a Random Omnipotent Being. "It is acceptable."
"Excellent. Now, onto the next jump, I suppose."
"Do I get a free choice, or-"
A stack of papers landed in front of me. A cursory reading confirmed that all were jump documents.
"Pick one of these jumps and fill it out. Once you have, onto the next bit of fun."
Wow, so bossy now.
Not like I could do anything about it, but still.
...Hmm, what jump to choose?
Ideally, this one should let me use my Pokémon without looking too odd - which cuts my options down by half.
...Good guy or bad guy?
...How about below morality?
Now for companions...well, that wasn't too hard to decide on.
Anything else?
Nope.
Once I was done, I handed my sheet to Jump-Chan, who gave it a once over.
"Oh, so now you want to be a monster, do you?"
"Yes, I do."
"Then I hope you prove yourself to be the scourge of the seven seas."

AN: Yeah, Pokémon was not going to be a long arc.
My original plan was to have the next jump be XCOM: Enemy Unknown, but I'm passing that down until at least jump five because the doc gives no options to create companions, just use existing ones from canon or import (and all my attempts to get clarification are getting crickets).
Anyway, read and review! This is Flameal15k, signing off!
