The moment Brave steps up in Nevermore, Raven slaps her cheeks and rushes to the phone. Her foot taps against the leg of the nightstand as she dials in the number and hears the line ring.

Ring.

Ring.

Please pick up, she silently begs.

Ring.

Ring.

"Good afternoon," a firm, yet elderly British voice sounds on the other end. "Whom may I have the pleasure of contacting the Wilson Manor?"

Raven's mind blanks. She wasn't expecting anyone else to answer, much less hear that Wilson has a whole manor. She knew he dressed nice and owned a really expensive vehicle, but to be that well off? Would he really have any interest in her?

"I... My name is Raven and I was told to use this number to get in touch with Joseph Wilson when he comes back from his trip. Is he available?"

"Yes, ma'am. One moment, please."

Silence then. This moment give Raven a bit to collect her chaotic thoughts. What kind of person is Wilson to warrant having someone else screen his calls?

"Good afternoon, Raven," a familiar voice seeps into her ears.

"You know, my dear, you can take the lead and explore. I wouldn't want to raise a Titan's suspicion. I have little to hide."

She opens them to smile upon Wilson. His presence emotionally caters to her needs, and she desperately hopes that no petty villain would befall Jump City just so she has no excuse to leave. She only prays none of her teammates will call out of the blue with some low brow mission they could surely handle without her. Though, with Robin still healing naturally, she worries that his weakened condition may force her to fill in. She doesn't want to leave. Not now, not yet.

He grins from across the way. "I'm glad you enjoy this. I figured we'd have finger food so we may converse and get to know one another properly. I, for one, am very curious as to how life is in the Tower, how the team first developed."

Such a topic isn't a good memory, full of the past and present. But his steady gaze silently coaxes her desire to vent, if only to him because he seems to care.

He caught that statement under her breath. Man of her nightmares as well. How lucky is she to have the object of both within her grasp? It's quite the delicious predicament as Slade enjoys being the cause of many a sweat-induced evening in all possible ways, but seeing such a strong woman flush so easily through his kindness is endearing. All of this a flip of the coin. Maybe he can turn her nightmares into something a little more... tolerable. How lovely would it be to see her fluster when Slade, donning his usual armor, devilishly flirts with the she-demon during a battle. Just enough to possibly make her question her morals and feel strained between the sweet comfort of Wilson and the promise of dark pleasure from Slade. The thought is quite entertaining.

Her question prods at his mind. She's wanting to stay the night? He has no qualms about that possibility, though she'll have to lead the night. If it was his choice, he'd take every opportunity to lavish her. He catches her staring very intently at him, her glittering purple eyes glazed over in deep thought. How the mighty have fallen. When the gloss phases away as her thoughts come to and end, a blush creeps up on her cheeks. Slade pulls up a half-grin and a brow.

Heat coursed through her body at his touch, and she licked her lips as she thought of what they did before dinner. Unable to contain herself, she promptly turned and wrapped her arms around his neck again before leaning in and kissing him. "I need this," she whispered between kisses.

Her next one was full of desire, but long and passionate.

Her kiss caused a sudden change in attitude that left him breathless. The desire to win replaced by the desire for all of her. The entire culmination of feelings he had for her since last night and this afternoon resurfaced sevenfold as his arms find themselves around her waist and behind her shoulders. He drinks in every aspect of her needy kiss and returns it with his own.

"You need what?" he huskily murmurs against her lips as he kneads into her hips, bringing her much closer to his warming body and tilts her head up to nibble along her milky column. "Is it this?" Slade leaves a trail of kisses back up to her lips, flicking his tongue across her sweet, cool lips. "Or this?"

His voice lowers with a soft growl behind his words. "Show me what you want."

A low groan pulls at his vocal cords with the slight tug on his hair. Out of pure reaction, he deepens the kiss, wanting nothing more than to taste her lips this time. His kneading hands grip her lower bother with a dark want. His drags the tip of his tongue over her silky lips before starting back into his mouth to savor her taste. It's dull, but it's there. Sweet yet magical.

With great care, he lays her down on his bed without separating their kiss. Hands free, they ghost her sides and leg and everything in between before settling one on her cool thigh and the other entwined in her hair. Needing more to taste, he pulls on her hair just enough to open her neck for him. That pale column of flesh flashes in the lighting with each heavy, short breath and sigh.

Slade ducks down to lay gentle kisses upon the sensitive skin at first, then introduces a little bit of his teeth to bring out a series of soft moans. His hand at her thigh idles up to touch her underthings and only hope to feel the plumpness that lay on the other side of the sinfully thin material.

A small voice pleads for him to ease up. Let her set the pace. She might not be as experienced. Inwardly groaning, he forces himself to bring his hand back to her thigh and go back to gifting her neck with simple kisses.

Raven pushes herself so she sits up slightly with one arm, the other hooking around his neck so she can pull herself forward and capture his lips again.

Between kisses, she relaxes so her head rests in the crook of his neck. The Titan peppers kisses along his neck and jawline, then one on his cheek before pulling back and smiling at him.

"You're something, you know that?" She inquires, kissing his lips once more.

"What makes you say that?" His voice gravelly with lust.

The inner voice says that he's something to be feared. Slade pushes the voice away to focus on the woman under him and her glorious soft lips. The raging magnetic attraction couldn't possibly get stronger than this. It feels like the world is burning just from this innocent play and somehow leaving them unscathed. Does she feel the same thing?

He runs his hand from her hair down her neck and along her spine, sending a shiver up her body which pushes her chest against his. Raven's heart is racing. Her blood pumping furiously. The sound dulls his senses to everything around the room. She has captured every little bit of his attention. This she-demon has him under one amazing spell.

"Thank you," she whispers, her hands folded against her body as she closes her eyes and listens to his heartbeat.

"I feel like sometimes I can't do it. I outlived my destiny, that's no longer a problem, but inside...I just feel like I can't live this life forever."

Raven more or less snuggles closer to him. "It's the same thing, every day. Same people. I love them, but...what else can they do for me? Do they hold me back?"

She suddenly feels herself voicing her fears and questions out loud.

"Should I stay? I feel like I owe them something...but someday I need to live my own life. Go after what I want. But being a hero is my job. The people of Jump City didn't enlist our help- my help- but they got it."

Raven lets Wilson's warmth seep into her, comforting her. Her legs are brought closer to her as she rambles, glancing up at him every once and a while.

"They're kind to me. They care, I know they do. But there has to be more to life, y'know?"

A dark, foreboding passing startles him awake. Once again, he can't remember the nightmare, but the lingering feeling of danger unsettled him. A weight on his arms reminds him that the Titan woman is still sound asleep. Carefully, he pulls his arms from around her without shifting too much so he can go to the bathroom.

Slade strides to the sink and stares at the reflection. The stranger with the perfect face and two blue eyes meets his gaze. He had grown so accustomed to his scar and devoid right eye that he considers that to be fully him, not... this. Angrily, he pops out the false eye and soothes the dull pain away. Unfortunately, the rubbing and consoling of his right side pulled at the cover-up. Growling softly, Slade peels off all the faux skin and washes his face.

A single blue eye and marred face stares back. This is Slade. This is who he is, but... Raven doesn't know that. She knows of Wilson. He sluggishly pulls out his kit and begins hiding the scar once again.

"I'm growing out of my team. Someday the bird has to leave the nest. Not to say I'll never see them again, but..." She sighs.
