Naruto, Maemi, Hinata, and Choji leaped through the trees towards their destination, escorting a caravan of merchants. A fairly basic C rank mission all things considered, bandits trying to set up illegal toll roads was almost always an issue and the Daimyo of each land couldn't usually afford to go flushing said bandits out.

Usually dealing with bandit camps was a B rank mission payed for by the Daimyo who didn't want such large amounts of bandits in their territory, the rank not for the actual threat of the bandits but just in case some nukenin was secretly in charge of them and because exterminating an entire camp of bandits who had holed up in a defensive position was harder than chasing them off from a toll road.

Hinata had forgone her old jacket for a more form fitting and short sleeved jacket of lavender with white sleeves and a hood that had the same white Uzushio spiral inside the purple icon of Slaanesh on the left sleeve that Naruto had on his own left sleeve of his kimono, as well as a pair of long rubber gloves that went up to her elbows to avoid discharging her bio-electricity with basic Juken strikes. She was also growing her hair out, but keeping the hime cut for her bangs, it still only reached her neck so far but finding out Naruto liked longer hair had encouraged her to stop cutting it so short.

Naruto wore his usual traditional garbs, mostly because he liked how they made him look the part of a Ninso, but he'd added a leather harness over his haori to holster the twin Raito over his shoulders so they'd be easier to get than from his sash, which left his sash free to hold his tachi and wakizashi again. The smith Tenten worked for had helped repair the blades, for a fee of course. He'd also bought a new scabbard for his broken old katana, letting Maemi carry it as it seemed like a wakizashi while sheathed.

Naruto found it slightly awkward to leap through the tree tops now, his cloven hooves were far more suited to the ground and underbrush. Regardless he took it as a chakra control exercise to stick to where he landed briefly, although until his chakra control got better he was far from stealthy. Leaving splintered bark wherever he landed would make him easy to track, which is something he would need to take note of.

Soon enough the three genin and Imp came across the merchant caravan, startling them with the appearance of the young blonde. A few of the existing guards reached for their weapons, "Yo! My magnificent self is Naruto-sama!" the horned blonde greeted with a grin, "Kajo no Koki Ninso here to protect your caravan as per the mission request you sent to Konohagakure no Sato, where my magnificent self shall be future Hokage!" he explained with a proud laugh.

There were a few exasperated looks and narrowed eyes at the overtly arrogant introduction, "So, you're not Gyumao?" an old lady asked with a raised eyebrow, Maemi struggled not to laugh at the title. It was a fair guess, considering his unguligrade legs and bovine horns.

"Looks more like the daughter of the Gyumao." One of the guards muttered, another nodding in agreement.

Naruto pouted, "I'm human!" he insisted, "These alterations are just blessings from my Kajo no Kami!" he explained his appearance, "I'm not just a girl either, I'm also a boy." he added with a huff, confusing the merchants and their guards further.

"It's true," Hinata confirmed with a nod, "despite his small breasts, Naruto-kun still has a penis." she said, backing up at least half of what he said but just concerning the merchants more, "Also Yorokobi-sama blesses Kajo no Ninso with blessings and boons to make them closer to Kajo no Tenshi." she added almost as an afterthought, "My name is Hinata Hyuga by the way, Kajo no Shibo Ninso, I am not nearly as blessed as Naruto-kun but we are betrothed." she introduced with a polite bow, sounding particularly proud of the last part.

Choji scratched the back of his head and chuckled nervously, "I'm Choji Akimichi, just a genin." he introduced in a bit more of a reserved manner, "Uh, I think Hokage-sama gave us something to identify ourselves with." he added, taking off his pack to rummage in it only for a young girl to snatch it and climb up on one of the wagons.

The young girl had brown hair in a ponytail and the old woman of the group looked exasperated with her, "Momiji-chan, give that back!" she scolded the girl.

"They're telling the truth!" Momiji declared instead, proudly pulling out a haori labeled 'Konoha Moving Service' on the back.

"My magnificent self is not wearing that." Naruto said bluntly, he wasn't taking off his haori marked with the kanji for Kajo to dress up like a laborer just because Tsunade wanted him to.

Momiji frowned, "What? But you're supposed to help us move!" she insisted in a whining tone.

Naruto scoffed, "My magnificent self does not need to do manual labor!" he insisted, piercing his right thumb on his right horn, "I have Daemons for that!" he added with a grin as he weaved hand signs, "Kuchiyose no Jutsu!" he declared and was flanked by four steeds, two of the bipedal creatures on either side of him.

The merchants were startled again by the appearance, but seeing Naruto set them up to pull the wagons with their muscular legs helped set their concerns at ease, "Wow! So pretty!" Momiji gushed, impressed by the creatures despite their off putting appearance. The mix of opalescent scales, leathery grey skin, pastel pink fur, and bright purple feathers with horns, clawed feet, breasts, fins, and a long snaking tongue from an anteater-like head just made them seem like a strange form of bakemono to most.

The guards still seemed a little on edge with the uncanny young blonde but decided to introduce themselves, "Well, I am Kikusuke," the guard with the white hat said, "This is Yurinoshin." he continued, gesturing to the guard with the beret, "That's Shun." he finished, pointing out a third person waiting with the caravan.

Naruto frowned, wondering why the woman was dressed as a man. Maemi frowned as well, but because she detected that the names were all lies. The Muse mentally informed her blonde master, asking if they should call them out. The horned genin decided he probably should, he'd been screwed over by false mission parameters too often not to.

"Could you guys not lie to shinobi?" Naruto requested, "You might want some privacy or whatever, but our mission is to escort this caravan and worrying about what you're hiding from us is just going to make that harder y'know." he scolded dryly, startling the not just those three but the entire caravan.

'Shun' put on an offended air, "How dare you accuse us with no evidence!" she snapped, acting like an offended young man but Maemi could detect the trepidation.

Naruto sighed, "Maemi-chan can sense emotions and detect lies," he said with a gesture to his Familiar, "thanks to the bond my magnificent self has with her lying is just going to get you in trouble." he warned, lifting his left hand to the pommel of one of his Kiba blades, "If you're not going to be honest, it's safe to assume you're a threat to this mission." he added with a dangerous tone to his voice.

'Kikusuke' stepped in front of the disguised young woman in a defensive stance, "We're your clients!" he pointed out honestly.

Naruto shrugged, "Clients lying about mission parameters is generally a breach of contract, be honest and my magnificent self is likely to protect you anyway." he explained bluntly, he preferred honesty but he didn't hate Tazuna for lying, "As long as your reasons are good enough." he clarified.

'Yurinoshin' exchanged a glance with 'Kikusuke' and the two sighed, "Alright, fine, we were hoping to keep this a secret." the white hat guard decided, "My name is actually Kikunojo." he introduced.

"My name is actually Yurinojo." The other guard added bashfully, looking embarrassed to have been caught lying to a Ninso even if they did look like a yokai.

"We're shinobi of Na no Kuni," Kikunojo continued, "we apologize for the deception, but we hoped for extra help protecting Haruna-hime." he explained with a gesture to the disguised young woman who looked irritated with being outed, "Secrecy was our primary concern, for the safety of the daughter of the Daimyo of Na no Kuni." he insisted.

The oldest woman in the caravan gasped, "Haruna-hime? You've grown so much, oh and your father was so kind to us last we visited." the woman said happily, the honor of being in the presence of nobility she was fond of doing much to assuage her concerns regarding the deceit.

Maemi mentally confirmed they were being honest and Naruto stared at the disguised young woman, "Would you believe that you're the third daughter of a Daimyo to disguise herself on a mission my magnificent self has been on?" he asked with a raised eyebrow, "Yuki no Kuni, Tori no Kuni, and now Na no Kuni." he muttered as he scratched the skin around his right horn and his left hand lowered from the Raito at his shoulder to rest against the hilts of the sheathed swords at his hip, "My magnificent self must be a magnet for princesses!" he laughed, amused by the pattern.

Haruna's eye twitched at the arrogant young blonde's way of referring to himself as Hinata wondered if she counted as one of the princesses as the former heiress of the Hyuga clan, she certainly felt attracted to Naruto after all but she focused on the mission for now, "But why the secrecy?" she asked, if the mission parameters had changed overly it might be worth calling for back up.

Kikunojo sighed, "Na no Kuni was taken over by three foreign ninja called Janin." he revealed sorrowfully, "We need to get Haruna-hime to safety so that she may some day return to reclaim her home." he explained.

The old woman gasped, "A coup? In Na no Kuni? But the land was so peaceful, the people so kind!" she insisted, hating the idea of such violence happening in a place she regarded fondly.

"That's precisely why such a thing has happened!" Haruna snapped, "Peace and kindness are all well and good, but it just makes you a target for the ruthless with ambitions." she added with an irritated look, "I don't wish to wait around here, we're wasting time, and revealing this information just puts us at greater risk!" she insisted, glaring at the horned blonde who had forced the information out of her guards.

Naruto scoffed and tilted his head back to look down his nose at the noble young woman, offending her further and prompting another eye twitch, "The mission parameters are to protect this caravan, regardless of your station you are part of this caravan so my magnificent self will protect you from these Janin!" he exclaimed boisterously, "Such evil doers stand no chance, for they will be up against Densetsu no Kajo no Koki Ninso!" he continued as he started doing kabuki poses, "Yorokobi no Eiyu! Yokubo no Maebure! Konton no Omo! Clan head of the esteemed Uzumaki clan! Naruto-sama!" he reiterated, adding more titles to himself as he did a different pose for each one.

The merchants, Haruna, and the two Na no Kuni shinobi stared blankly at the outlandish and arrogant young genin, but Maemi and Hinata clapped for him, the latter having a proud smile that indicated she agreed with every word. Choji sighed at the antics of his current cell leader, he was amused but he hoped that Naruto would at least take the fighting seriously.

With the aid of the Steeds of Slaanesh the small caravan made good time, Kikunojo and Yurinojo both had no contract of their own, knowing little of Kuchiyose no Jutsu, but they understood enough about chakra to be impressed that the Daemons could stick around for so long under Naruto's power. Given that they understood his arrogance a little better, but they still silently agreed with Haruna that the blonde was a bit too full of himself.

None of the genin had put on the haori Tsunade had packed, Naruto refusing to take off his Kajo haori and Hinata following his lead mostly because she liked wearing his modified clan symbol. Choji thought it would be weird to be the only one wearing it, so he'd opted not to bother either.

"You guys should relax y'know." Naruto assured the two shinobi guarding Haruna, he hadn't heard anything coming after them yet and according to Maemi his hearing was even better than some Daemons at this point.

Hinata trusted Naruto's hearing, waiting for him to ask her to activate her Byakugan to confirm anything he heard. The fact the young Hyuga was apparently betrothed to the horned blonde was still concerning to some of the older merchants, but seeing how close she walked to him let them know she enjoyed his company at least.

Despite trusting his teammates Choji was still concerned, the way the Janin were spoken of they sounded like at least A rank threats. The fact they'd apparently taken over a country not that far away only cemented this, but he tried not to let his concern show so as not to worry Momiji. Although the girl seemed more interested in the colorful bipedal steeds pulling the wagons laden with supplies, despite their slender appearance their muscular legs proved capable.

Although the creatures kept looking around and licking the air, "Don't touch their tongues." Maemi warned the merchants, mostly Momiji, "They're venomous." she clarified just to make sure the people understood why it was a bad idea, but if anything she was underselling the danger. Speaking truthfully about how dangerous the tongues were would only arouse suspicion though.

Naruto turned to Kikunojo, "Where are you going?" he asked, startling the man who had only just barely stepped away from the caravan.

The disguised shinobi looked embarrassed to be caught, but impressed with the sensory abilities of the young blonde, "I thought I should double back and make certain we aren't being tailed." he confessed, feeling odd to be deferring to the horned ninso given the age gap.

Naruto shook his head, "That's dangerous, better to stay as a group." he insisted, "No need for you to sacrifice yourself anyway, we'll handle it even if you did lie about mission parameters y'know." he added, making the two shinobi feel guilty and irritating the daughter of the Daimyo further.

"It would be safer to split up if you hadn't forced us to reveal our identities." Haruna grumbled, crossing her arms in a huff.

"Safer for who?" Naruto asked with narrowed eyes, "Don't talk nonsense, information is important in a mission, especially among shinobi." he pointed out, "Sheltered nobility should leave this stuff to professionals." he added with a dismissive wave, "You're just lucky that my magnificent self is too proud to leave you behind, protecting you isn't even part of the original mission parameters but as long as you're with us we'll protect you anyway." he assured.

Haruna raised an eyebrow, "Until you get a better deal." she mumbled distrustfully.

Naruto scoffed and rolled his eyes, "They couldn't afford it with all the money in the world." he retorted dryly, "The pride of a Kajo no Koki Ninso is not so easily bought." he added arrogantly, crossing his own arms.

Kikunojo and Yukinojo exchanged a glance with raised eyebrows, both wondering why the horned blonde was so prideful. They both hoped he spoke the truth, but it seemed he had some ability to back up his words. Hinata simply decided she didn't like Haruna very much, the woman was rude to people below her station even when they were helping her.

Naruto's nose twitched, he smelled smoke in the distance. He halted and cocked his head to the side as he closed his eyes, trying to listen for the source but all he could tell was that the smell was coming from the direction they came from towards Na no Kuni. The blonde frowned, "Hm, we might have company soon." he muttered to himself, concerning the others who all stopped when he did, "Hinata-chan could you check behind us?"

Hinata nodded and activated her Byakugan, straining to check as far as she could, "I don't see anyone yet." she informed, deactivating her dojutsu.

Naruto shrugged, "Well, everyone stay quiet." he requested as he got his Daemons moving again, mostly so he could focus on his hearing in case the enemy shinobi were particularly stealthy. Soon enough he heard it, "Hinata-chan check again, two of them?" he asked.

Hinata turned back and activated her Byakugan again before nodding, "Yes, they don't seem like much though. Standard gear, young adults, decently developed chakra but nothing of note." she confirmed, unable to tell much more at the distance.

"Underlings of the Janin maybe?" Naruto mused, scratching the skin around his right chin with a thoughtful expression. Kikunojo and Yurinojo failed to hide their surprise, they knew something of the vaunted Byakugan so for the horned blonde to notice those tailing them before such a legendary dojutsu was astounding.

Haruna frowned, "Well, what are you intending to do about them?" she asked haughtily.

Naruto frowned, "My magnificent self is thinking!" he snapped before turning away from the young woman with a huff, "Hinata-chan when they arrive you should challenge one of them," he decided, "Choji do you think you can take the other so I can keep an ear out for reinforcements and keep an eye on both fights in case you need help?" he asked, dropping the 'ore-sama' for serious tactical discussion.

Choji was surprised by the plan, "Uh, I guess, shouldn't we use our numbers to our advantage though?" he asked, wondering why he and Hinata were being asked to fight alone considering the circumstances.

"Yurinojo-san and I can help." Kikunojo assured, not wanting to be left out of the action entirely.

"You may help Choji-san," Hinata answered, "but do not interfere with my challenge, I am a Kajo no Ninso as well. Slaanesh-sama would look poorly upon you interfering in my battle." she explained, the true name of the ruinous power confusing the merchants.

"Suraaneshu?" Kikunojo attempted to pronounce the word and just frowned in confusion as his tongue failed to roll over the correct words.

"The true name of Yorokobi-sama, those of the elemental nations seem to have some linguistic difficulties pronouncing it." Maemi explained, "Naruto-sama and Hinata-chan have had some practice." she added, a half lie since the real reason they could pronounce it would only confuse and concern the merchants.

Haruna scowled, "What if they're merely scouting? What if they come back with reinforcements?" she pointed out her concerns.

Naruto nodded thoughtfully, "Kikunojo, Yurinojo, could you back up Choji?" he requested and the man nodded, "Don't interfere with Hinata-chan's challenge though." he added as an additional warning, "Alright, my magnificent self will listen to the fight from here, you three ambush them." he assured.

Haruna frowned at his lack of honorifics for everyone who wasn't his future wife, finding the arrogant blonde to be rather irritating to her sensibilities. Despite this she was glad he was at least listening to concerns and taking it seriously, his insistence on one on one fights was confusing though.

Choji was fine with following Hinata's lead, but it seemed Kikunojo was used to stepping into a leadership role, "We should try to capture one of them for questioning at least." the man said, Yurinojo nodding in agreement.

"That's fine, Choji-san is supposed to be part of a cell specialized for capture and interrogation anyway, right?" Hinata asked and the Akimichi nodded in agreement, that was the primary abilities of the Ino-Shika-Cho trio. He was pretty sure his Bubun Baika no Jutsu would be adequate for capture.

"Are you sure about fighting one of them alone?" Kikunojo asked, concerned for the young kunoichi.

"Do not interfere with Konton no Ninso battles." Hinata answered flatly with a confidence that surprised Choji, he still remembered when the girl was timid and shy. The Akimichi supposed Naruto was good for her confidence somewhat, or maybe those marked by Slaanesh were just filled with confidence which was why the blonde had gotten so obscenely arrogant.

The four shinobi prepared to ambush as Hinata activated her Byakugan to keep an eye on the two tailing their caravan. As soon as they were in sight Choji leaped from cover, using his clan hijutsu to expand his right arm and grab one around the shoulders to stop hand signs or weapons before lifting him to take away any leverage the man might use.

The other moved to help but Hinata leaped between him and his ally, "I challenge you!" she announced, lunging at the man and dodging his thrown kunai before shoulder checking him. Her small left shoulder impacted weakly against his guard but her static charge built up transferred into the man, stunning him so she could step forward and thrust her right palm into his chest.

The man coughed up blood and stumbled back, his eyelids fluttered as his vision darkened. With his left lung and heart damaged he could do nothing but fall from the tree they were intercepted at, hitting the ground with a thud and a crack. The Hyuga girl frowned, inspecting herself with her Byakugan for any alterations, "I guess he wasn't worthy." she grumbled with a sigh, disappointed.

Choji was as impressed as he was startled, trying to mentally relate the confident young kunoichi who defeated a young adult in two strikes after announcing herself to him with the timid young girl who had been thrashed by Neji back in the chunin exams preliminaries. Kikunojo was surprised because his help wasn't even needed, but he and Yurinojo tied up and disarmed the young man Choji had captured for easier transport as Hinata looted the unconscious dying shinobi for his weapons.

"Anything of note on him?" Kikunojo asked, hoping for something to help give them information.

"Nothing that would help us, just weapons and standard supplies." Hinata answered, deciding to put the tanto in her tool pouch for now since it may come in useful.

"We should dispose of the body quickly." Kikunojo suggested, "I know some Katon no Jutsu." he offered.

Hinata shook her head, "Leave it, stealth is useless against Naruto-kun and he'd want the enemies to know that." she answered, "Best if we just hurry back to the others." she added.

Kikunojo and Yurinojo found the idea odd, but nodded and transported their captured enemy back with them.

By the time they returned, the man seemed dead, "He must have swallowed a cyanide pill." Kikunojo realized with a frown, "I apologize, I did not think to check for such a thing." he confessed with a regretful sigh, "Also, Hinata-chan seemed to think that you would prefer our enemies know stealth is worthless against you?" he asked.

Naruto nodded, "Yeah, way better if they just come right at my magnificent self y'know." he confirmed bluntly, making the two Na no Kuni ninja wonder just what kind of shinobi a Kajo no Ninso actually was. The challenges, the emphasis on honor, and especially the swords the blonde carried all seemed far more like samurai.

Haruna scoffed, "This is absurd, you're putting me in undue danger with your methods." she scolded, annoyed with Naruto's tactics. Kikunojo and Yurinojo silently agreed, concerned for the safety of their charge.

"You'll be fine." Naruto assured dismissively, clearly unconcerned and confident.

"Please understand," Kukinojo requested, "these Janin are feared for a reason. Each one is stronger than a jonin alone, and they their own unique ninjutsu according to rumors." he explained, "They're not called Janin for nothing, they have frightful natures, and they treat others like worms."

Naruto still didn't seem concerned, "My magnificent self has access to Kajojutsu, unique ninjutsu that only Kajo no Ninso can learn." he bragged confidently, "Seriously, these guys don't know who they're messing with." he assured.

"Naruto-sama's confidence is not bravado despite what you seem to think." Maemi assured, "He has drank the Eiyu no Mizu and absorbed the full power of the Hoshigakure no Sato's special relic." she explained, mostly just sick of feeling the concern and lack of faith from the three residents of Na no Kuni.

Hearing that did make Naruto's attitude make more sense, but it also confused the two shinobi. Especially Kikunojo who knew a bit more about hidden villages, enough to know that Hoshigakure's relic was sought after by Kage and that both items listed were regarded highly. If anything the information made Kikunojo wary of the seemingly power hungry young blonde.

Eventually Naruto spoke up again, "Just one this time, Hinata-chan?" he asked, his hearing apparently picking something up. The Hyuga girl activated her Byakugan to check, focusing intently behind them.

"Yes, this one seems dangerous though." Hinata confirmed with a frown, "Much closer than the others got too." she added with a concerned tone.

"Can you describe him?" Kikunojo asked curiously, making a note that perhaps they should hire Konohagakure shinobi in the future if this is what they had to offer.

"Cheek length purle hair, yellow eyes, fair skin, a dark blue sleeveless shirt with light grey circles around the sides, dark blue fingerless arm warmers with light grey circles around the sides, light grey baggy pants, over this is an auburn colored skirt, blue sandals, two light blue teardrops on his cheeks along with a light blue triangular marking under his chin and carries two tonfa." Hinata listed off in detail, surprising and impressing the listeners.

Naruto grinned proudly at his future wife but Kikunojo seemed concerned, "That would be one of the Janin then." he said, clearly worried.

The horned young blonde scratched the skin around his right horn as he considered that, he didn't want to deny Hinata getting a boon but he also didn't want her to get hurt. It didn't take long for caution to win out, "My magnificent self will deal with this myself." he decided, pulling out his combat drugs and taking one out of the container before handing the rest to Hinata.

Naruto found the man Hinata described and stared right at his hiding spot, it was good, if he couldn't hear the calm heartbeat of the man and feel the slight malicious intent the man was suppressing he wouldn't notice him at all, "You might as well come out and introduce yourself to my magnificent self, Kajo no Koki Ninso, Naruto-sama." he introduced bluntly, scratching the skin around his right horn idly as he did so.

The man scoffed as he stepped out of cover, "Impressive, I thought I'd erased my presence, you must be quite the sensor." he praised genuinely, "But you're a fool to challenge me, I'm one of the Janin, Ruiga." he introduced with a confident smirk.

Naruto simply reached back and pulled one of the Kiba blades from its holster over his right shoulder as he tilted his head to the left, "My magnificent self challenges you, Ruiga. One to one, accept or be a coward in the eyes of the Kami." he intoned ritualistically, pouring some of his chakra into the Raito he pointed at the Janin and causing electricity to spark along the edge as the blade started humming with power.

Ruiga narrowed his eyes and brandished his pair of tonfa, "That's the Kiba, isn't it?" he asked and Naruto simply smirked and nodded confirmation, "Interesting." he mused, "Such a pair of blades would make my ninjutsu even more deadly." he realized with a chuckle, "Lucky me!" he finished.

Naruto heard the Tatakainouta build up and leaped to avoid a hail of water, but it didn't come directly from Ruiga. The blonde continued to dodge, surprised to find himself surrounded by floating drops of water as if it had been raining and suddenly stopped. The horned ninso pulled the other Kiba blade from its holster and poured his chakra into that too before tapping them together.

"Raikyu!" Naruto announced and a ball of electrical chakra burst from his tapped blades towards Ruiga, however the water in the air dispersed the Raiton no Jutsu before it could reach the man.

"My ninjutsu is an ultimate defense, even Doton no Jutsu would be hard pressed to get through it." Ruiga bragged, holstering his tonfa in his skirt and biting a thumb open as the the water coalesced towards the young blonde genin.

Naruto recognized the start of Kuchiyose no Jutsu when he saw it, but the water surrounding him was the bigger concern in the moment. The blonde was glad he hadn't let Hinata come and challenge the man, and with a grin he holstered the Kiba blade in his right hand before flaring his chakra and whipping the hand towards his opponent.

"Shifuku no Kurushimi!" Naruto declared, his purple whip of chakra striking through the so-called 'ultimate defense' to leave deep gashes on the confident Janin. To give credit to the Suiton no Jutsu it did blunt the lethality of the blow, but Ruiga stumbled back in alarm and bleeding heavily from near-mortal wounds regardless.

Naruto charged through the gap his jutsu had made in the coalescing water, stabbing at the Janin with the blade in his left hand as he formed a Rasengan with his right. Ruiga pulled out his tonfa, narrowly raising them in time to guard against the Raito thrust but the wooden weapons were damaged easily by the legendary weapon.

The horned blonde followed up by hopping around behind his opponent in a burst of speed, startling the man and plunging his Rasengan into his back. The spiraling orb of purple chakra tore into the man, launching him flying and broken into a tree. Naruto grinned proudly, checking himself over for any obvious changes as Maemi came out of hiding.

The Muse noticed her master frowning at the lack of any obvious blessing, "It seems," she began, "that despite how easily you killed him, he was indeed a worthy foe." she revealed, surprising the horned blonde, "Your leg muscles were enhanced, a subtle blessing but a boon is a boon." she explained.

Naruto tested that and found that he could move a good bit faster now, "Sweet." he laughed as he holstered the Raito in his left hand, "Let's get back to the others, I think I heard some more coming, a number of them this time." he explained, crouching to let the Imp climb up onto his back.

The horned blonde grinned as he moved at his new full speed, it had been a shame to lose his leg weights a while ago but now he might be even faster than Lee without them. He mentally requested Maemi remind him to challenge Lee to a race around Konoha when they got home, and the amused Muse agreed.

Hinata smiled happily at Naruto's return, "Hah! My magnificent self didn't even need to dope up!" he bragged, showing off the pill he'd taken with him as proof with a proud grin.

Kukinojo was surprised, "You actually beat one of the Janin that quickly and easily?" he asked, surprised despite what he'd already seen and heard.

Naruto scoffed, "Of course! You were already told they stood no chance, don't act surprised." he scolded with a smirk.

"I understand why you were so concerned though," Maemi spoke up from Naruto's back, "that ninjutsu of his was incredible. I wish we'd gotten a chance to see the hand signs." she sighed, "Maybe we can ask Haku-chan to try reverse engineering it once we describe it to him? He's something of a genius, isn't he?" she asked.

"I'll try to help, I saw the ninjutsu from here, not the hand signs but perhaps together Haku-kun and I can figure it out." Hinata suggested, curious about it herself since it seemed like the perfect ninjutsu to channel her bio-electricity.

Naruto nodded in agreement, "Good idea." he agreed happily, "If Haku-chan could do that he'd probably be able to take out an entire army if he ever stops being such a softy about killing!" the blonde laughed, amused by how the sadistic older boy still couldn't bring himself to kill.

Kikunojo and Yurinojo were stunned, they had no idea shinobi from hidden villages were on such a different level from them. The fact these were apparently genin just made it more concerning, and they wondered if maybe they were just weaker than they thought compared to hidden village ninja.

Soon enough the sun was setting and they were approaching a town, "It'd be bad to drag the caravan and town into this." Naruto mused, not wanting collateral damage, he was fine with killing those who he deemed deserved it but involving innocents was not his style, "Choji, sorry but could you go ahead with the caravan?" he asked.

The Akimichi nodded, "Yeah, I'll get them safely to the town and come back to back you guys up." he agreed with a thumbs up.

"Actually," Naruto began with a frown, "could you send a message to Konoha instead?" he asked, surprising the chubby genin, "These Janin are a bit much for you, no offense but even we might need some back up." he explained, "We've got no iryonin if someone gets injured too." he pointed out.

Choji was surprised, "Yeah man, I get it." he agreed, not offended at all, "But damn, when did you become a leader?" he asked with a chuckle.

Naruto laughed, "My magnificent self trains excessively!" he bragged, "When the body is exhausted, train the mind, and when the mind is exhausted too, relax with a nice drink and some cute lovers." he preached, the last part earning exasperated looks from the Na no Kuni ninja. That did not sound like a healthy training pattern, the fact he also seemed to say lovers as in plural and his future wife nodding in agreement was also confusing.

Choji rubbed his chin thoughtfully, "Well, that's an idea. I think I'm just gonna eat instead though, I'm almost out of chips." he mused as he went ahead with the Daemons pulling the wagons, the fact those were still there was a testament to Naruto's chakra. The Akimichi was more focused on hoping the town had a good barbecue place though.

Haruna scowled, "Those merchants could have been valuable to my personal use still." she scolded.

"Nagging will get you no decent suitors." Naruto retorted bluntly, earning a wide eyed and offended look from the daughter of a Daimyo.

"More enemies this time." Naruto spoke up as they finished setting up camp, "Where are you going, Haruna?" he added and the young woman jolted in surprise, gritting her teeth at the lack of honorific. The blonde knew which honorific he should use thanks to Hinata and Maemi by now, but he also didn't really care.

"She doesn't trust you," Maemi answered, startling the noble woman, "she was probably planning on using us as a distraction to try and escape." she explained.

Naruto laughed, "Wow, and people call me stupid." he mused with a shake of his head.

"How dare you!" Haruna snapped, incensed by his constant belittling of her. She was oblivious to how much of a hypocrite this made her.

"My magnificent self can't protect you if you run off, these shinobi would just hunt you down." Naruto pointed out dryly, "Ninja are faster than you, trained to hunt and assassinate in darkness." he lectured, "So stay in your tent, Ohimechan." he said the title sarcastically and with an altered honorific that just made it even more mocking.

Haruna's eye twitched, "Why the hell should I trust that you won't sell me out to save your own skin!?" she retorted, showing her complete inability to trust others.

"Tarnish the perfect mission record of my magnificent self with such an act?" Naruto asked rhetorically, "The pride of a Koki Ninso is not so easily swallowed, now if you won't get in your tent stay with your guards while Hinata-chan and my magnificent self solve your problems." he demanded.

Hinata chose that moment to speak up, "I think it's another Janin, looks kind of related but he's bringing back up this time." she warned, Byakugan active, "This one is armed with a kusarigama, and he's bigger physically." she added.

"What kind of back up?" Kikunojo asked, stepping up next to Haruna protectively as Yukinojo unsheathed a ninjato.

"Average height, standard adult male builds, all armed with ninjato or tanto." Hinata answered quickly.

"Sounds like a bunch of mooks." Naruto mused, scratching the chin around his right horn, "How many?" he asked.

"Fifteen." Hinata answered, "They're coming closer." she warned.

Naruto's glowing pink pupils, usually slits, were round in the dark, "Good." he decided, pricking his right thumb on his right horn and weaving hand signs, "Kuchiyose no Jutsu!" he announced loudly, twelve Daemonettes emerging from the cloud of smoke around him.

"Naruto-kun, please let me challenge him." Hinata requested, wanting to prove her own worth and thinking her future husband should save his strength for the last enemy. The Hyuga assumed the last one to come at them would likely be the strongest.

Naruto frowned, hesitating for a moment before nodding, "Okay, my magnificent self will ensure no one interferes, Hinata-chan." he promised despite his worry. Then he turned to the darkened tree line, "You lot may as well hurry up!" he called out, "None of you have the ability to hide from us!" he pointed out, Hinata nodded in agreement to show she wasn't surprised.

The next Janin was an overweight man with fair skin, dark grey eyes, two long thick eyebrows, and had two dark red stripes on each side his face with curved tips and long dull black shoulder-length hair with two large chin-length pieces of his hair on the left and right sides of his face. He wore a dark blue sleeveless shirt with light grey circles on each side, dark blue sleeveless arm warmers with light grey circles on each side, light grey pants and dark blue sandals.

"Well, that explains how you spotted Ruiga-nii." The man mused, spinning the weighted end of his kusarigama lazily in his right hand with the sickle end held in his left hand.

"I am Hinata Hyuga, Kajo no Shibo Ninso and future wife of the head of the Uzumaki clan." Hinata introduced, "I challenge you, Janin." she added as she slipped into her Juken stance, "Fight me one on one, or be a coward?" she asked.

The man raised an amused eyebrow, "Interesting," he mused quietly, "alright boys you get to watch Jiga-san mess this little girl up." he laughed, confident in his own victory.

"Remember to enjoy making him suffer, Hinata-chan." Naruto said, deciding he didn't like the man for that comment alone. Hinata simply smiled and nodded in agreement, measuring the length of Jiga's chain weapon she hopped closer to separate from Naruto and the small regiment of Daemonettes without entering her opponents range.

Jiga walked confidently towards the girl, leaving false openings and expecting a shuriken or kunai to test his defenses. Hinata had no intentions of such a modest attack, "Shifuku no Kurushimi!" she declared, whipping her right hand towards her opponent. A thin blue cord of chakra snaked from the tips of her index and middle finger, cracking the air as it lashed at the Janin.

Jiga was startled and too slow to dodge, he attempted to block with his kusarigama but the jutsu was too much to simply be blocked as it struck multiple points. The Janin's attempt at defense did at least protect his vitals and avoid crippling damage, but to be wounded so early and so easily hurt his pride.

Hinata followed up by charging her opponent, dodging the thrown weighted end of the kusarigama as she did. Suddenly, to the surprise of Hyuga it came back faster than she expected, grazing her left shoulder narrowly. The pain in her shoulder from the glancing blow was superficial, as was Jiga being stunned by her bio-electricity and she tried to capitalize on it but thanks to the distance he recovered in time to swing his sickle blade at her as she lunged.

The Hyuga narrowly managed to pull back and avoid being cut, a scant few of the ends of som of the hairs on the sides of her bangs did not manage to escape unscathed and the girl dodged to avoid the weighted end of the kusarigama. Hinata frowned, her taijutsu focused style was dangerous but an armed opponent was still an issue.

Jiga pressed his advantage, his weapon perfect for keeping the smaller girl at bay as the weighted end devastated the ground whenever it missed. Then Hinata was surprised again when a loose rock suddenly flew at her left shoulder, she lashed out and struck it with a Juken strike from her left hand to protect her already sore shoulder and the burst of chakra shattered the stone.

Hinata frowned as she tried to figure out how Jiga had done that without hand signs, as far as she could see there hadn't been much chakra used either so she wondered what kind of ninjutsu her opponent was using. For his part the chubby Janin was smirking as if his victory was already assured, "You seem confused." he chuckled.

The Hyuga rolled her left shoulder as she sharply cracked her neck to the left, "There are plenty of strange abilities in this world, I can see your keirakukei and strike it directly." she explained with a blank expression, "I don't need to know how you did that to avoid it, my dojutsu grants three-hundred and sixty degrees of vision." she added, her clan was famous enough that she had no worry about revealing such things.

Jiga frowned at the explanation, raising an eyebrow at the confidence of the young girl, "You're an odd brat." he admit, "I already knew about you Hyuga, but I'll still repay your cavalier attitude with an explanation," he said with a confident grin, "since I'm confident that knowing won't help you anyway. I developed the ability to magnetize things with my chakra by ingesting iron since I was a child." he revealed.

"Why the fuck did you ingest iron?" Maemi asked with a raised eyebrow, "Actually I'm surprised that even worked, I can imagine you magnetizing yourself doing it but chanelling it through your chakra is not what something I considered." she added thoughtfully.

"I am not doing that." Naruto said bluntly, he didn't want to add iron shavings to his ramen. It didn't even seem like that cool of an ability, "Actually how did Ruiga's ninjutsu work? Did he have to do something too?" he asked curiously.

Jiga scowled at the genin being more interested in his dead brothers ability, "So you actually saw that? So much for it being unbeatable, that moron Ruiga-nii." he grumbled, "That was just an impressive Suiton no Jutsu." he insisted, annoyed since he thought his own ability was far more interesting and versatile.

The Janin attempted to prove it by having more rocks fly at Hinata's left shoulder, from all around her at every location he'd struck with the weighted end of his weapon. The Hyuga girl's eyes widened in alarm but she spun swiftly on one foot, flaring her chakra to perform something she hadn't been able to accomplish despite training until Naruto had started teaching her Rasengan and she worked on her power output with the second step of that training.

"Kaiten!" Hinata declared the name of the Hyuga's ultimate defense, panting a little as she came to a stop she pulled a hyorogan from her equipment pouch and popped it in her mouth. Jiga was surprised and impressed, but he recognized the drain the attack had on her and smirked.

The rotund Janin started swinging his weapon wildly, not even pretending to aim at his opponent to tear up the landscape around them. Hinata realized his intention and charged, not wanting to risk another Shifuku no Kurushimi as she couldn't afford the chakra if it didn't finish her opponent off.

Naruto watched with concern as more rocks flew at Hinata, the Hyuga girl got close to her opponent and used another Kaiten to avoid being hit by the stones. Jiga grinned and timed the swing of the sickle half of his weapon with the end of the defensive chakra intensive taijutsu, only to be surprised that the girl had crouched in the middle of her spin.

Hinata lashed out with her right foot, pulsing her chakra into the kick as Naruto had done against Neji in the chunin exams, but with far more precision she damaged the insides of her opponents right leg at the shin. Then the girl followed up with a left snap kick to the Janin's right thigh as she balanced on her hands, unbalancing the man before flipping back to her feet away from the man and leaning back to limbo under the thrown sickle end of the kusarigama.

Jiga was infuriated to have been caught off guard like that, but as he pulled his bladed end of his weapon back Hinata lunged and reached into her equipment pouch. His eyes widened in alarm and he swung the weighted end of his weapon at her shoulder as he tried to bring the sickle end back in time to cut her.

The Hyuga pulled out the tanto she'd looted and suddenly dived under the kusarigama to her left, rolling to her feet to the right of the man and unsheathing the tanto to plunge it into Jiga's side. She aimed for the kidney but the blade didn't quite reach, it did elicit a cry pain from Jiga as the young kunoichi leaped away to avoid being struck again.

It was a rather deadly dance, even glancing blows from either of them was dangerous. So Jiga was alarmed by how he'd been struck far more than he'd struck the girl, but he could see her breath coming short as she returned the scabbard of her pilfered weapon to the equipment pouch.

"Not bad for your age," Jiga grudgingly praised, "but you're still a bit too young for me." he added, smirking at the double meaning.

"You're not my type either, but this dance is fun." Hinata retorted with a smirk of her own as her hand returned from the equipment pouch holding one of the white pills Naruto gave her, she quickly swallowed the combat stimulant made of cocaine and methamphetamines. Suddenly everything seemed so much clearer to the girl, she realized it wasn't that her Byakugan had improved, she was simply capable of focusing on the visuals it provided far better.

Jiga didn't know what she swallowed, but he knew it was probably some kind of combat drug and tossed the weighted end of his weapon again. Although he aimed it at the Hyuga he intended on swinging it to the ground again, so when the girl dodged he did just that but left the rocks so he could build up. Then Hinata rammed her tanto into one of the chain links to hold it in place and shattered it with a precise Juken strike, keeping the blade in a reverse grip as she lunged again at her opponent.

Jiga quite liked his weapon, so seeing it shattered irritated him. He hopped back as he swung what was left of his weapon at the charging young girl, using his ability to draw the discarded weighted end of his weapon and the remaining rocks he'd made towards the girl. Hinata leaped at her opponent and spun to her right to parry the sickle with the tanto in her left hand, she winced as she kicked aside the weighted iron ball but managed to follow through with her spin.

The chain of the remains of Jiga's weapon, still in his hand, touched the back of the young Hyuga. The Janin was electrified and his muscles siezed up, so he was unable to defend from the solid Juken strike to his forehead. The eyes of the man rolled back as blood dripped from his nose, already a corpse before he hit the ground.

Hinata panted breathlessly as she perspired, more from the side effects of the drugs than true exhaustion, but she grinned proudly at her victory. It seemed like Slaanesh approved of her victory as a third arm burst from her left shoulder, the Hyuga didn't want to be ungrateful but she couldn't help but mourn her jacket. She took some pleasure that the Slaanesh mark modified Uzumaki clan symbol had not been damaged at least.

The underlings who followed Jiga were surprised, but seeing the apparent exhaustion of the girl all charged to finish her. Unfortunately for them Naruto was there and intercepted, cutting down the closest with his Raito as his Daemonettes followed his lead and counter charged. The clash was quick but lethal and brutal, with only four of the ninja managing to retreat.

More unfortunately for them the Daemons they attempted to retreat from were fast and caught them by their legs with scything claws, laughing and giggling at their crippled prey the Daemonettes began to torture information from the young men the old fashioned way. The Daemonettes were disappointed when the captives swallowed cyanide pills instead of talking, dispelling themselves in a huff at their fun being ruined.

Kikunojo, Yurinojo, and Haruna stared in shock, understanding now what they meant by Ninso gaining boons from the Kami. Naruto just grinned proudly at his future wife with a bit of arterial spray on his face, "Great job, Hinata-chan!" he praised, "Your new arm looks good on you." he added happily.

Hinata blushed happily under the praise, practically preening from the words, "Thank you, Naruto-kun." she said gratefully, she decided she'd buy new clothes with two left sleeves when she got back to Konoha.

The night passed without further incident and Hinata felt the fatigue of coming down from the combat drugs Maemi made, if it wasn't for the longer lasting hyorogan she'd probably be passed out by morning. As it was she was struggling to stay awake so she could watch Naruto fight the last Janin whenever he arrived.

"One approaching," Naruto spoke up suddenly, a little tired from not sleeping but he assumed that was the plan, "must be the Janin." he assumed.

Hinata activated her Byakugan briefly, but dropped it quickly, "Looks like it." she confirmed, noting the vague resemblance he had to the other two.

"Waiting here all night for little old Renga?" A voice finally called out, the man was surprised the horned blonde was looking at him as soon as he arrived. The man had long brown hair and beige-coloured eyes, with three purple fang-like markings on his face, with one on each cheek pointing up towards his eyes and the third pointed down from his forehead. He wore a purple vest-like shirt with red for the collar and the sides and a blue shirt under this along with blue wrist coverings on his lower arms

"Is he flying?" Kikunojo asked dryly, wondering how much more absurd this could get.

In the morning sunrise Naruto's pink pupils had turned to slits to protect his vision, "No, I think he's standing on something." he answered, narrowing his eyes curiously.

Renga's expression turned from confidence to surprise, "You can actually see that?" he wondered, "Actually, what even are you?" he decided to ask, "Your hitai-ate says Konohagakure shinobi, but your appearance tells me tomboy daughter of Gyumao." he mused dryly.

"My magnificent self is not some oxen hengeyokai Ohimesama!" Naruto snapped, and Haruna sighed at the fact the blonde would say the word correctly when referring to himself, "My magnificent self is Naruto-sama, Densetsu no Kajo no Koki Ninso y'know!" he introduced haughtily.

"Oh?" Renga asked, looking amused as he rubbed his chin, "You have a bounty don't you, the one who killed Gato." he realized with interest.

"Yeah!" Naruto answered proudly, "Anyway, consider yourself challenged, now get down here!" he insisted.

"No." Renga answered bluntly, swinging his arm at Naruto who swiftly hopped aside of the near invisible disc the man launched. The blonde genin responded with Shifuku no Kurushimi, but was surprised when his chakra whip impacted against the same things the man was standing on and throwing.

The fact that it cracked told Naruto a lot, "That's ice." he realized, narrowing his eyes curiously, "Hyoton?" he wondered, he didn't like the idea of killing Haku's relatives even if they were jerks but maybe it was too late for that.

Renga was impressed, "You can even tell it's ice, your senses are downright supernatural." he mused, "However, wrong guess, this is no Kekkei Genkai, this is pure talent." he bragged proudly, tossing another pair of large ice shuriken.

Naruto dodged with a frown, annoyed that his opponent wouldn't even come down and fight him. The blonde decided he fought better with a handicap anyway and brandished his Raito, "Raikyu!" he declared as he tapped them together and launched the electrical orb that resulted, but that seemed to be even less effective than his whip of chakra.

"Do you know the forcast today?" Renga asked with a smirk, "Unfortunately for you, no thunderstorms, it's a cloudless sunny day." he informed, "Perfect weather for you to die." he intoned dangerously, "Unless of course," he continued slyly, "You give up Haruna-hime? Her father is already dead, might as well send her to him, and I owe you for getting my brothers out of the way." he offered with a grin.

Haruna flinched, hiding behind her guards in fear that she would be given up. Naruto just looked exasperated, "Quit being a coward." he scolded dryly, looking disappointed in the Janin.

Renga's eye twitched, "Suit yourself." he said blandly before the purple and pink eyes of the horned blonde widened in alarm as the sun seemed to brighten, the young genin leaping to the side as something exploded where he'd been standing, "Actually, I might just kill her anyway!" the Janin laughed as the sun suddenly seemed to focus intensity on Haruna and her guards.

Naruto realized the intention even without the attack being directed at him, although he'd only dodged so well thanks to the Tatakainouta. Kikunojo managed to grab the young woman and carry her out of the direct zone of the attack, covering her from the splash with his body as Yurinojo narrowly dodged it himself.

The horned blonde focused on his chakra, pulling at the pink Hoshi chakra deep within to pour it into his Raito. Pink electricity sparked along the fanged lengths of the blades as he pointed them up at Renga, pouring chakra into them to create a neon pink light show. The Janin protected himself with his ice discs, but noticed they were being chipped.

"Hinata-chan, help them escape!" Naruto ordered, angry at the man he'd challenged attacking someone besides himself. Hinata didn't want to leave, she didn't have the stamina left to use her dojutsu to watch from a distance, but nodded reluctantly and escaped with Haruna and the two Na no Kuni shinobi.

Renga scowled, focusing the light of the sun on Naruto once more. To his surprise the horned blonde again dodged the moment his attack started, the whole point of it was to be too fast to effectively dodge so he knew something was up. Being fast was not enough to dodge the attack, but he kept sending blasts at his opponent anyway to stop the genin from doing that thing with the pink lightning again.

Naruto frowned as he knew he couldn't just dodge forever, he supposed his opponent should run out of stamina before him but he didn't want to win that way. Despite his desires he couldn't think of a way to defeat his opponent without simply leaping at the man top speed, so that's exactly what he did.

Renga was alarmed at the speed Naruto crossed the distance between them, pink chakra pouring out of the blonde to form an incomplete Kujaku Myoho and into his Raito to create pink lightning. The Kiba blades shattered through the ice disc defenses of the Janin as the man jumped back, forming another ice disc as a platform and grinning at his opponent.

In mid air Naruto's legs wouldn't be able to find purchase to dodge, so the Janin was confident his next attack should land. The horned blonde knew it too but refused to despair, he pushed with his chakra and his Kujaku Myoho flapped to propel him aside. Naruto was just as surprised as Renga that had worked, but he vaguely recalled Natsuhi using her Kujaku Myoho like such once.

The horned young ninso grinned at his opponent, suddenly matching the man in the air. The flight was slower than Naruto moved on the ground, but this only confirmed for Renga that the young blonde could predict attacks somehow. The Janin was forced on the defensive by the genin, the man scowling as jutsu he'd though undetectable were dodged with ease. Even attacking at moments the blonde blinked did nothing.

Naruto was having the time of his life, the aerial dance was not something he'd ever considered but he decided he liked flying. However he couldn't spend all day dancing with Renga, and when an opportunity presented itself he lashed out with the Kujaku Myoho. The pink chakra took the shape of a crab claw and slammed into the man, sending him crashing down to earth with Naruto close behind.

The horned blonde connected his Raito at the pommel and plunged one end into his fallen opponent, right below the ribs, before pouring his chakra into the weapon. Renga screamed as he was stabbed and electrocuted, his bloodcurdling scream music to the grinning young blonde before it finally stopped.

Naruto tore his weapon free with his right hand and let the Hoshi chakra dissipate and return to his Fuin, gripping his left shoulder with his left hand to roll his neck to the left and right. Then he felt his boon as Maemi came out of hiding, another pair of horns. He almost dropped the hitai-ate that fell from its fabric being damaged as the horns burst from his head behind his first pair and curved upwards like a different kind of bovine.

The blonde was a little confused, "Wait, I can get more horns?" he asked his Muse with a raised eyebrow.

Maemi nodded, although she looked surprised too, "Yeah, you're now fit to command much more powerful Daemons." she revealed, "Of those aligned to Slaanesh only Greater Daemons might argue with you now, and most Daemon Weapons will probably obey too." she explained.

Naruto grinned proudly, "They really are like a crown, my magnificent self is like Slaanesh-kaasama's own mortal Ohimesama!" he laughed happily, pleased with the blessing.

"Another pair and they'll be like Slaanesh-sama's own crown of horns." Maemi realized quietly with some amount of awe, a giddy grin creeping onto her face.
