Mary had been stranded for a while now, with only her parrot, Duncan, for company.
She doubted anyone even knew where she was - Placid Palms, of course.
But she was fine with that. Completely fine.
What was now known as Typhoon Lagoon was a very nice place.
Sure the storm that stranded her and Duncan had scattered all her aquisitions, but that was okay. It was just another opportunity to study them.
Duncan was roosting in the cabin. Mary could relax in a deck chair.
It was peaceful.
Besides, Jock would have to fly here at some point, right?
Right?
That's part of the backstory for Typhoon Lagoon - the storm thing. Miss Adventure Falls, the newest water slide (opened in 2017) had that same backstory. Only with added Mary Oceaneer - a character created for Disney Cruise Line - bringing Typhoon Lagoon into the story of the Society of Explorers and Adventurers. Miss Adventure Falls is the first - and so far, only - ride built specifically for a US Disney Park to feature the SEA storyline (not including retconned rides like Jungle Cruise and Big Thunder Mountain).
Jock is Jock Lindsey from Indiana Jones. He and Mary Oceaneer were contemporaries in the SEA, so far the only revealed members active in the 50s.
