Dreamfinder was alone.

He hadn't always been alone. For fifteen years, he entertained guests in Epcot with his dragon friend Figment. Figment was his own creation, so he couldn't be upset that Figment had gone on to achieve greater success than him. It's what all parents want for their kids.

That's why he had to let Figment go to Nigel Channing.

Figment didn't know the truth. Not the full truth, anyway. And Dreamfinder didn't want him to.

Three years they spent in the Walt Disney Archives. Until Dreamfinder broke out of there with Figment and left him at the Imagination Institute. It was all he could do to ensure Figment had a good life.

Then, Dreamfinder left. He left Epcot, and he left the Walt Disney Archives long behind.

Undeterred, he built a new Dream Machine. He knew, despite having being put in storage, he hadn't truly been forgotten about - he'd read the comics. He'd helped inspire them.

Maybe some day, he'd return to Disney. After all, it had been twenty-one years now since he had to leave Figment behind.

But for now, there was a young girl, a budding artist, in Kinshasa who needed one little spark of inspiration.

A/N:

Dreamfinder may have been forgotten by Imagineers, but still lives on in our hearts - and our imaginations.
