Fairy Tail Origins Parva Alliance AU
Chapter Fifteen: The Wolf's Claw Guild's investigation with Kat and Davis.
While Astrid was questioning the rest of the Divinus Magia guild members Kat and Davis were down in the dungeon to interrogate the first imposter that had been caught that evening. The guards had been ordered by Steve to make sure that no matter what the prisoners that were a part of this case had no opportunity to escape. So they would have to wait until the guards made sure that the prisoner was secured and locked in the interrogation room.
Davis frowned thinking about the information that Astrid had just sent them. Apparently aside from the Dark Storm guild they had three suspects. Each related to the victims in some way. Two of them her parents and one of them a woman who was wanting to marry Brandon by force. Davis wasn't sure if they were actually involved but Astrid did have some good points when it came down to it. However her theory did have a huge hole in it. How would they have gotten here? Ever since the portal between Terrarium and Horedora reopened it had been kept under close watch by the guard. Of course this could easily be explained by the existence of a second portal but even then the magic core would have detected it.
Davis shook his head and turned his thoughts to the person that they were about to interrogate. Davis had been around many unpleasant people in his time. If there was one thing he learned during his younger years it was that when listening to the words of a criminal you should take their words with a grain of salt. Especially when it came to the seasoned ones. They were the ones you had to watch out for the most in his way of life.
A guard came out and told them that the prisoner was ready for interrogation and to follow him to the interrogation room. The room wasn't any different than any other that Davis and Kat had been in before. It had a table with a recorder already on it, some lined paper for taking notes, chairs and guards in the corner watching the event unfold before them.
On the left side of the table sat the prisoner. He was a man in his early thirties with black hair and brown eyes with a fair skin tone. He wore the uniform that all prisoners in the royal palace were required to wear, which was a gray non-descript tunic with brown boots.
The guard turned to them as soon as he was sure that all the other guard's undivided attention was on the prisoner. "Mr. Ramirez and Mrs. Wlikerson, this is Anthony Walter, the prime suspect in the poisoning. As I'm sure the captain told you we don't know if the name he's given is his true name, we'll be watching the interrogation the enterer time due to the near maximum security lock down. With that I believe we can start now." The guard said before taking his place by the door.
Kat and Davis took their seats at the interrogation table. One close look at the man and Davis knew that this was going to be a though interrogation. The man had a furious look to his eyes and a dark look on his face. It was then Davis knew that he was planning something, Davis taped Kat's wrist once. A hidden signal between them. Kat did the same once to show that she understood. They both activated a very small amount of their magic but not enough that it could be sensed by anyone in the room but them. Kat then decided to start things off.
"Hello Mr. Walter, my name is Katerina Wilkerson, and this is my guildmate Davis Ramirez. Do you know what charges that your being held on?" Kat asked the man firmly in a calm tone. The man just kept glaring not answering any of these questions. Davis then sent another message to Kat via their hidden communication code. A signal to let him have a shot at him. Kat allowed him and Davis gave a frown.
"Alright, listen here. You're going to tell us what we need to know. And don't even think about lying because I will know if you are. And believe me when I say this, I've been around plenty of your type to know when you're lying or not." Davis said with a frown.
Just then a guard came in and whispered something into Davis's ears. "Ah, that actually saves me a bit of time, thank you." He said to the guard before turning to the prisoner. "So your real name Yeah, I know that you're not using your real one. Your name is Thorvald Bertelsen, isn't it?" he pauses for a moment. Seeing the man go into a fit of rage.
"What you can't know that! His true majesty assured Rightful King Jonathan that no one would fine out!" The man shouted not realizing that he just gave himself away. Davis just smirked and looked at the man with a blank look on his face. Kat just smiling knowing that whatever Davis had learned from that guard was more than just the guy's real identity.
"You've heard that Zathage and Atlantide are in alliance now right? We're also in an alliance with the Horedorarian's grand royal conseil has well so we know that every criminal that is on their wanted lists. Unfortunately for you, you happen to be at the very top of the list despite the efforts you went through to keep your name hidden from the HGRC. So why don't you just save us the trouble and tell us why this "Jonathan" sent you here and who your "true majesty" is?"
The guy just got angrier and stood up as the guards moved to intercept him. "I won't tell you anything about what you're asking. All you need to know is that those two "Guild Leaders" need to return to their home and that Prince Brandon has to marry Princess Francesca on his father's orders." Davis just shook his head. This was way easier than he thought it would be. It was still going to be slightly more difficult than what he would have liked but still nothing he couldn't handle now that he understood how the guys worked. And even better it seemed that Kat had caught on to his plan.
"That's funny because it just so happens that one our suspects for your boss's identity is Princess Francesca and according to one of our friend, she someone named Soren Diabolus. I wonder if he's the true majesty you keep talking about." Kat smiled in fake wonder.
The guy then went silent for a moment glaring at the two Wolf's Claw members silently. He sat frowning realizing that he was digging his own grave. "No… he isn't…" he tried to lie but David knew better and had proof that he was doing so.
"You know when that guard came in and told us your Identity he gave us more then just your name." Davis said with a smirk. He then pulled out a copy of the mission orders that Thorvald had been given. The man paled has his eyes landed on the file, resulting in proof that these guys weren't bluffing.
Orders from the Head Sunflower Solode King

Order briefing: The two guild leaders of Divinus Magia are my sons who have been unrightfully taken from me and my wife. They must be returned to me so they can fulfill their purpose to him. I have had my best assistant whip up a poison if that is a mixture of two other poisons, one from each of the two worlds the only copy of the antidote is held by him.
You are to Poison the rest of their family present and capture their guild members and bring them to him with the poison following through there vains in a lesser dosage then the rest so to not kill them. Do not get caught under any circumstances.
"I found this in the pocket of your servant uniform. You really should have hidden it better.
Thorvald frowned has he knew he was caught. "So… why don't you just tell us what you know so that we can save the three of us a bit of time. Otherwise you're going to have a fatherless lenient sentence then what you would if you don't." Davis warned the man with a frown. Just then the man attacked and was restrained by two guards.
Kat and Davis helped get the man back to his cell and then left to meeting up with the rest of the guild members and update the case notes. Needless to say they had gotten a fair amount from the interrogation. Not only was it clear that the enemy didn't plan on getting caught this early on, but they also learned that the mastermind wasn't working alone in planning this.
However there was one thing that stuck out to the two of them The Head Sunflower. Awhile back Kat had delt with a cult called the Sunflower cult. Not much was known about them as the investigation was still ongoing. However with the new piece of evidence that Davis had gotten proved that there was a chance that the cult was connected to his assassination attempt.
Kat didn't know why but she had a feeling that this connection went beyond a mere alliance. The plan just seemed to be put together for this to have been a first-time thing. After interrogating more of the imposters it had been found that they were all here on the same mission, just given different task to carry out.
Kat looked at the case notes that had been sent from the rest of the guild mates that had been sent with them on this quest. According to Astrid a note with a sunflower on it was found in Mr. and Mrs. Minerva's room threating them to turn over Ritchie and Brandon for the Antidote but thankfully Kan was able to create one for the poison and the elite guard was making a lot of progress on finding out who was an imposter and who was a real member of the palace staff and guard.
Meanwhile, Astrid was getting ready to question the royals that were on the guest list then hopefully if things when well with the antidote she could question Ritchie and Brandon about what they knew about their parents and everything that they had done. However right now what Astrid needed to do was review what she and her friends had learned so far. Besides, they were due to update Taro on the investigation in a few minutes.
On the other hand, Vitalis was with King Steven about what they found so security was upped around the suspected targets. Soon enough, the rest of the guild members of Wolf's Claw was ready to meet up and talk about their progress and compare the information they had collected to see if they could find new leads to follow and hopefully find out who they needed to go after.
"So we know that the mastermind and his allices had to have either have been planning this for him to have this many people on the inside without any prior red flags. Either way they would need a few months to either hire the amount he did. They also have a lot of funding to pay these people has well." Davis frowned at the thought.
"I found that some of them were hired by Dark Strom. Why didn't they do it themselves?" Astrid asked with a frown. Kat hummed in thought before answering the question that her fellow guildmate had asked her.
"Maybe that base that Divinus Magia took out was more important than the people know? I mean not much was known about that place before the raid that they carried out." Kat offered in thought.
"It's possible, I hear the place was riddled with hidden rooms they could have easily hidden something in one of them that the guys didn't find. Or more likely that they were planning to transport something important there and had moved most of their people there to prepare for that." Davis stated his thoughts on kat's idea.
"It definitely makes sense with the increase activity that they've been showing in that place it definitely means that they were planning something for that place. There were to many people to just be guarding and experimenting on the prisoners." Vitalis agreed with the two of them.
"Astral told me that she found a threatening Mr. and Mrs. Minerva threatening them to hand over Ritchie and Brandon if they wanted to get the antidote. But how did that get there and how is it related to the overall case?" Astrid asked with a frown.
"Maybe Dark Strom and these Head Sunflowers are connected to each other in some way? I mean, I know that some of these orders came from these head sunflowers and most of these false ids came from the head sunflowers. They would know more about the naming conventions here then the king from another world." Davis pointed out with a nod.
"That makes sense I mean Princess Leah was kidnapped by them and some of the imposters here were tasked with bringing her, King Donny, Queen Kelly, and Princess Carly to one of their previously unknown hideouts and to kill King Steven and the rest of his family." Kat nodded in understanding.
The rest of Wolf's Claw joined them, and they talked for a while before resuming the investigation. In the meantime Ritchie and Brandon were being watched by their aunt and uncle and the rest of their family to make sure that they would be okay and that if something happened Emelia could act right away to fix the problem.
Astrid sighed, looking over the case notes that she had. She knew that there was much more for the young girl to uncover, and she had a feeling that they wouldn't get it all in one night. As well planned has it was there differently a likely chance that they had a back up plan. She only hoped that they could figure out what was going on before things got any worse.
