The horror of watching one of their fellow animatronics catch fire quickly wore off for the Tiki Room birds when they learned their attraction would be turned from the Under New Management version of the Tiki Room back to Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room.

It didn't stop them gossiping about Iago, however.

'I heard he'll be melted down for scraps,' said Pierre.

'That's not what I heard,' said Michael. 'I heard that he will be skinned and used in another attraction.'

'Who told you that?' asked Fritz.

'One of the Showgirl Birds,' said Michael.

'Then they're lying,' said Pierre.

'What reason would anyone have to lie about something like that?' asked José, wading into the debate. 'It's just a scary story.'

'Maybe they misheard,' Fritz suggested.

'Si, maybe,' said José. 'But it's more than likely that Iago is going into storage at the Walt Disney Archives.'

The other parrots shuddered.

The Walt Disney Archives was somewhere animatronics did not want to be sent to. If you were sent there, it was highly likely you were never coming back out. That was a lot scarier than being skinned or melted for scraps. At least being skinned meant you could be useful in another role, another attraction. And being melted down meant you wouldn't suffer being locked away forever.

Being sent to the Walt Disney Archives was the real horror.

'I disagree,' said Pierre. 'I still say he'll be melted for scraps.'

'And I still reckon he'll be skinned and put in another attraction,' said Michael.

'Ja, I doubt Imagineers would just let him rot,' said Fritz. 'He will probably go to Pirates of the Caribbean.'

'You think he will go next door?' asked José. 'Do you hope to see him again?'

'Nein. Never,' said Fritz. 'Not after how he held our attraction hostage all them years.'

'It wasn't him though, exactly,' said Michael. 'It was Imagineers.'

'If you want to be technical, it was Michael Eisner,' said Fritz.

'Why are they restoring our attraction now then?' asked Pierre.

'Don't look a gift horse in the mouth,' said Michael.

'Si. Michael is right,' said José. 'Just don't question it.'

'But what if that happens to us?' asked Pierre. 'When they decide we aren't popular enough?'

'But we are popular,' said Fritz. 'We have dedicated fans. And they're restoring our attraction.'

'Mr Toad's Wild Ride had dedicated fans too. Look what happened to it,' said Pierre.

'None of us are going to be stuck in storage at the Walt Disney Archives,' said José. 'At least not yet.'

'Not yet,' said Michael. 'So what do we do until then?'

'Take a siesta,' José suggested. 'I don't know.'

'Ja, it will be few months until the attraction is renovated properly,' said Fritz.

'A few months, si,' said José. 'So I suppose we do whatever we want until then. Within reason.'

'Or else we'll get sent to the Archives,' said Michael, putting on a spooky voice.

'Nobody is being sent to the Archives,' said José firmly.

In mid-January 2011, the Iago animatronic of the Enchanted Tiki Room Under New Management attraction caught fire. The Iago animatronic was badly damaged and there was minor damage to the theatre itself. This led Imagineers to get rid of what is considered to be the worst update to a Disney attraction ever, and restore the Enchanted Tiki Room as it was, name and all (until the panned update in Florida it had gone by the name Tropical Serenade).
