Chapter 24

Beca's POV

I made it back to my dorm and cleaned it up a little before Jesse comes over. Not long after being there I hear a knock on my door. I open it to reveal Jesse holding a pizza in one hand and a bottle of coke in his other. He comes in and sets the food on my bed, then pulls me into a hug. It's obvious that I've been crying. My eyes are still red and my face is all puffy. I don't really care, I'm too tired to care. After a few more seconds I feel Jesse start to pull out of the hug.

"Alright so I got a good ole classic pepperoni pizza and some coke for us tonight. We can eat and then you can talk, or you can talk then we can eat or if you don't want to talk I brought a few movies we can watch." I smile at that. Jesse really does get me. As much as I don't enjoy movies, I love doing our movie-cation thing that he loves. Usually I would just accept his get out of jail free card (a movie), so I wouldn't have to talk, but before I know it I find myself saying we can eat then talk.

Jesse pulls out a couple cups and plates from his backpack because he knows me well enough that I have zero dishes of any kind in my dorm. He also knows I have nothing that could be considered a napkin and pulls out a whole roll of paper towels. He puts some pizza on my plate and fills my glass with coke. Together we manage to demolish the whole extra large pizza and drink all of the coke. Now that all of the food is gone I realize that I need to start talking. Jesse puts his hand on mine and nods his head to let me know he is listening. I tell him all about Aubrey finding out on facebook that Sheila had the baby five days ago and neither of us knew. Then I told him about how I called my dad and he didn't even have the decency to pick up the phone.

"Beca that's horrible. I'm so sorry! I know that as much as you hate to admit it you miss having a family. Just know that you will always have me! I love you so much and when I have a kid you will be the first person I call!" He smirks and I slap his arm which causes him to start laughing.

"Shut up! You know in order to have a kid you, yourself, need to stop acting like one!" He puts his hand over his chest and pretends to be offended. "You know I'm right! There's something else I need to talk to you about…" He raises an eyebrow, trying to encourage me to go on. I look down and start picking at my fingers. "I may have… kissed Chloe…?"

"WHAT?! When did this happen?" Jesse looks both confused and excited "Did she like it? Did you like it? Are you guys officially dating now?"

"Ummmm.. I don't know. It just happened. I kissed her then apologized and ran out. She was just being so nice to me and she looked really cute. I panicked and rushed out of the apartment and texted you and now we're here." Jesse is already shaking his head. "Why are you looking at me like that? I don't think she likes me like that and I just kissed her without asking and now I probably wrecked our whole friendship." Now Jesse is laughing.

"Bec have you ever seen the way Chloe looks at you, or acts around you? There's no way that she doesn't not like you that way. She loves you Bec as in a more than a friend way. I'm sure she liked the kiss and I would be willing to bet that you didn't ruin your friendship." Jesse walks over to my desk and grabs my phone, handing it to me. "Text her right now and make plans to talk to her about it tomorrow. It's all going to work out Bec. Trust me." I do trust him, so I text Chloe.

Chloe's POV:

"Chloe why the hell did Beca run out of here?" Aubrey is suddenly standing at the door. "Cho? Are you okay?" I still feel dazed from that kiss and I can't seem to remove my hand from my lips. I slowly turn to look at Aubrey. "Seriously Chlo, what's going on?" I blink a few times and take a deep breath.

"Beca just kissed me…" I hear a squeal come from Stacie who is now at Aubrey's side in the doorway of my bedroom.

"Beca kissed you?" Aubrey asks looking extremely confused, but I nod my head. "She kissed you, but she ran out of here in a panic. Chlo I swear to God if you did something stupid and hurt her after all that she went through I WILL have your vocal chords ripped out by wolves! She's my sister."

"I didn't even get the chance to do anything stupid Bree. I was talking to her and out of nowhere she kissed me. I obviously kissed her back because duh, I'm in love with her. I knew I probably shouldn't be kissing her because she is so emotional right now, but I just couldn't stop it. Then all of a sudden she pulls away, apologizes and just… runs. I didn't know what to do. I've never had anyone run away after they kissed me. Oh no, do you think she regrets it? She probably doesn't like me like that. God Bree, if she doesn't like me like that I might die."

"Chlo stop for a minute. I know my sister, she obviously likes you. She's really big on consent, so she's probably just panicking about it. Also she is super emotional from today, so she's probably afraid she's gonna lose you today also."

"Chloe, Bree is right. I've seen the way that Beca looks at you. It's the same way I look at Bree. She's in love. She's also been through a lot this year and in her life. You need to text her. Maybe ask her to talk tomorrow?"

"Oh good idea Stace! Text her and ask her to get coffee or something. Ask her to talk and tell her it's nothing bad because knowing her she will sit there and freak out otherwise."

"Ok, you're right. I need to fix this asap! I love her and I cannot bear losing her or her thinking I hate her!" I grab my phone off my nightstand. I open it to find that I already have a new message from Beca.

Beca: Hey Chlo. Sorry about earlier. There's something I really need to talk to you about. Can we hang out sometime tomorrow? Again sorry.

Chloe: Sure thing Becs! We can meet for coffee before Bellas tomorrow? You have nothing to be sorry about! Can't wait to talk to you! Again, don't be sorry 3

Beca: Ok cool. See you tomorrow before Bellas. Does 8 work? The campus coffee shop?

Chloe: Sounds perfect, just like you! Can't wait!

"Alright, I'm meeting her before Bellas practice tomorrow. I tried my best to make it sound like I wasn't upset. Hopefully by Bellas practice tomorrow we will be officially dating!" Stacie squeals again and pulls Aubrey into a hug.

"Bree, if that happens we can do double dates! How cute would that be! Plus Chlo, you guys will just be the cutest couple!"

"Thanks, Stace! We'll see how tomorrow goes!"
