Hello, and welcome to a LONG overdue update.
First, I would like to profusely apologize for not updating this story for nearly two years and saying nothing all the while. As I`m sure most of you know by now, Covid 19 hit the world hard and fast in March last year. In the chaos of that happening and needing to adapt, I got a lot less work done than anticipated. And I have been lacking in motivation since Game of Thrones ended. Combined with my tendency to get distracted thinking of other story ideas, things moved much slower than they should. I do take full responsebility for the last two points though.
Second, I have been rather indecisve in writing the last chapter. Because of this, it has been rewritten quite a few times. By now, I have thankfully landed on something I am satisfied with. During this time, I have also thought of improvements that should be made to how I handle Artys and Alyssa`s character arcs. This will, hopefully, make the chapters better to compansate for the lenght it took to finish them.
Lastly, I am not abandoning this story yet. However, I cannot promise that is will be updated anytime soon. I will try my best to have chapter 15 published before summer has passed.
Long story short, I apologize for being quiet for so long. I am not dead yet. Rest assured, I am still working on the next chapter. If any of you either have left or are considering leaving, I don`t blame you. To those still reading, I greatly appreciate your support and your near-infinite patience.
