Chapter 29
Beca's POV
"Nice of you to finally join us" Aubrey greets as Chloe and I sit down. I roll my eyes and flip her off in return.
"Ha ha very funny, Bree. We're not even late. We're actually five minutes early. Not my fault you arrive to everything freakishly early!" I say
"Sometimes I find it so hard to believe you two were raised by the same people." Chloe says, looking between Bree and I.
"That's because one of us had to keep the peace and internalize everything our dad said to turn into a copy of him. And the other talked back and made everything as difficult as possible." Bree said, sticking her tongue out at me to get her point across.
"To be fair Bree, I think dad deserved to have two children fight everything he tried to teach us. It didn't seem to matter that you made yourself miserable your whole life for him anyway." Before things could turn any sadder the waitress came and took our orders.
As soon as the waitress left a smile started to spread across Stacie's face that immediately made me uncomfortable. To make matters worse she was only looking at me. I could feel my face turning red.
"Sooo Beca… Chloe sent me an interesting text this morning…care to explain?" Stacie asked, a smile still in place, although it's turned into more of a smirk.
"Uhhhh… I'm not sure I know what you're talking about?" I say immediately confused. What did Chloe text her? It better not have been that picture she took this morning!
"Well unless you weren't the girl that was supposed to be on this double date with Chloe right now, Stace is referring to you being Chlo's girlfriend!" Aubrey clarifies.
"Oh yeah… that… I didn't know she told you." I say trying to sound cool, although the blush on my cheeks is definitely giving me away. Both Aubrey and Stacie have their eyebrows. Chloe looks like she's ready to jump out of her seat from the excitement.
"That's it. That's all you're giving me Becs? As your sister I am offended?!" Aubrey pretends to be annoyed.
"What do you want from me?! It just happened last night! Also, what were you expecting? You yourself have been practically begging for us to get together and now you guys are acting shocked that we're official?" I say trying my best to sound annoyed.
"We're not shocked that you're official, we're shocked that you got your shit together and one of you asked to be official." Aubrey laughs.
"I for one am thrilled that you figured your shit out and are official. Fat Amy owes me $20!" Stacie adds.
"Stacie!" Chloe gasps "You and Amy bet on us?"
"Yeah. She bet that you guys wouldn't be official until a few weeks before finals and I said you'd def be official within the month, looks like I won!"
Shortly after, the waitress came with our food. It is quiet for a while, only the sounds of us eating. Right when I took a huge bite of my burger Stacie decides to ask "So Beca, are you planning on covering that hickey for practice tomorrow, or is that how you're planning on telling the other girls?" I start choking on my food. "Owwww" Stacie yelps, Aubrey must've kicked her under the table by the look on her face. I feel Chloe's hand start rubbing my back as I grab my water to try and help the situation.
"We haven't talked about how or when we're telling the others yet, Stace." Chloe responds.
"Too busy making out to talk, I get it!" Stacie smirks "Owww! Dammit Bree, stop kicking my leg!"
"Well then stop tormenting my sister! Only I get to do that! Plus I do not want to hear about the sex life of my sister, especially when it involves my best friend."
"Don't worry Bree" I manage to say after recovering from my near death experience "I won't fill you in on any details. There isn't even anything to talk about yet."
The rest of the date goes by smoothly. Chloe and Bree talk about some of Bella's stuff they need to get done. We briefly talk about classes and getting ready for the next competition. Before I know it we're leaving and Chloe is offering to walk me home.
"Sooo we never did talk about whether or not we're telling anyone that we're official yet. I mean I think they already know from us being super later to practice the other day and us holding hands. But I just want to make sure that you're cool with them knowing or if you wanted to wait to tell people anything?" Chloe looks a little nervous which is super unlike her. I quickly grab her hand.
"Chlo I'm fine if everyone knows we're official. I say let's just act like how we want to act together and let all the girls figure it out though. We should be allowed to have a little fun with them."
"So does that mean you're not going to cover the hickey?"
"No, I'm definitely still covering that! I said we deserve to have a little fun. Amy questioning how good the sex is because I have a hickey is not fun for me."
"I guess you're right"

The next day at practice Chloe and I walk in (hickeys covered, yes hickeys plural. Did you really think Chloe only walked me home) hand in hand. Only Bree and Stacie are there when we arrive and we still have time so we go sit down off to the side and talk until everyone arrives. Somehow Chloe has found herself laying on top of me on the stage floor, my hands playing with her hair. We are so wrapped up in our own world that I don't realize the other girls have shown up and are all staring at us.
"What?" Chloe asks as innocently as possible, getting up and walking towards the stage, pulling me with her.
Amy does her weird fake cough "Lesbi-honest" thing and there are various confused mumbles from the other girls. I know that they all want what's best for me and I've never felt more comfortable or more at home around anybody in my whole life, so I decide if there is ever a time to be bold, it's now. I take a deep breath and pull Chloe down for a kiss. Instantly I hear the girls erupt into cheers. Chloe pulls back from the kiss with a huge smile on her face. I know mine must match hers. I don't think I've ever felt happier.
"What" I turn to look at the other girls "Am I not allowed to kiss my girlfriend?" I ask with a smirk. The other girls all cheer, some have a very shocked look on their face.
"Dammit!" Fat Amy whines causing everyone to look at her "It's not that I'm not happy for you, cause I am! But now I owe Legs 20 bucks!" Stacie walks over with her hand out and everyone starts laughing.
"Alright, if everyone is done gawking at my sister and my best friend and their disgusting display of PDA, I believe we have a competition to prepare for!" Everyone groans, but starts to fall into formation. I take one last look at Chloe before we get up. I really have never felt this happy. If only my dad could understand that.
