I'm the Legendary Super Saiyan!
Both Trunks and Ling are at a loss for words. According to their history, both of them are the same age. So how is it in this timeline that Ling is Gohan's age? But before they can figure out the answer to that question, Piccolo, Tien and Gohan fly in.
"Trunks? Ling? What are you doing where?" Piccolo asked. He didn't expect them to come back to the past.
Vegeta was stunned when he heard those names, "They have the same names as my children! Wait! Super Saiyans from the future!? They're my children!? Unbelievable!?" Vegeta thought. Piccolo had told everyone that Ling and Trunks are from the future and Androids will come to kill them. He did disclose the identity of Ling and Trunks.
Trunks' scouter picks an android's signal, "Over there!" Trunks shouts and points at where Dr. Gero is hiding.
The armless Android is shocked that Trunks can find him. So in a panic runs off as fast as he can. He uses the rocks to mask his escape.
"Coward!" Vegeta growls and flies after Dr. Gero.
"No! He can't fight the androids on his own! Father is not strong enough," Trunks shouts and flies after Vegeta.
"Father? Did he call Vegeta father? What does he mean by that?" Bulma asked.
"The baby in your arms and the young man who just went after are the same. As are those two," Piccolo explains and points at the two Lings. "Both of them are from the future."
"You're me!?" kid Ling gasped, "That's what I look like as a Super Saiyan?!" the little girl said with a starry-eyed look, "I love the green hair and cool yellow eyes!"
"H-How is this possible?!" Bulma asked with a shocked expression on her face.
The older Ling sighs, "Time travel. We came to this timeline to find the strength to defeat the androids!" she then turns to look at Piccolo, "How did you know Trunks and I are from the future?"
"These ears of mine I can hear your conversation with Goku. Don't worry, I didn't tell everyone who you two are. I only help Goku explain where and when the androids are going to arrive," Piccolo explains.
"So the androids we faced, are they the ones who killed us in your timeline," Tien asked.
Ling asked, "No, the ones who destroyed our world look like a young man and young woman. Not an old man and a clown," she grits her teeth, "I think us coming from the past made some changes to your time. Like different androids." she then looks at her younger self, "And in this timeline, I'm Gohan's age instead of Trunks',"
Bulma rubs her chin, "So if you are the grown-up version of Ling. I have a special outfit fitting for the Legendary Super Saiyan," she said proudly.
"What?!" Everyone said at once.
"A new friend of mine told me some juicy info about the Saiyans. Like how the Legendary Super Saiyan likes to wear gold," Bulma smiles she pulls out a capsule and gives it to Ling, "Use that to get the new outfit I was working on,"
"Why do you have it with you?" Ling asked.
"I was going to show it to my friend but I would rather you wear it," Bulma smiles.
"Alright," Ling said and pressed the button of the capsule with her thumb. She was then covered in a white cloud of smoke. When it fades, Ling is wearing a new outfit. She's now wearing a skin-tight black bodysuit that has a turtleneck, golden bracelets, a red waist cape tied by a golden belt with a green gem, and golden high-heeled boots. She then notices she's wearing golden earrings.
"How did I change so fast?" Ling asked.
"You can ask her later, right now we need to catch up with Vegeta. He'll make more of the mess than the androids," Piccolo said.
Ling nods, "Follow me, my scouter can track down the android,"
"Lead the way," Tien said.
Ling nods again and flies off. Piccolo, Tien and Krillin follow after her. Gohan was about to go too but Bulma stops him, "So sorry for the inconvenience but can you help me get home. My car ran out of gas," Bulma laughs nervously.
"Mommy is very forgetful," young Ling said.
"Not every time," Bulma pouts.
"Okay," Gohan said and nervously scratched the back of his head.
Bulma smiles and looks at baby Trunks, "I'm glad you get to grow up to be such a handsome young man! I was worried you'll look like your dad," Bulma looks at young Ling, "And grow up to be a pretty young lady!"
"I'm always pretty!" Young Ling smiles and holds up a hand.
Bulma giggles, "That you are,"
Over with the older Ling, she along with the Z-fighters caught up with Trunks and Vegeta. They are in a cave that has an iron door at the end. Vegeta holds out a hand and blasts the door down. Trunks and Ling gasp when they see two familiar faces, 17 and 18. 17 had just run his hand through 's chest.
"H-How dare you! I am your master!" growled and noticed 18 looking at a chamber that has the number 16 on it. "You get away from that!" the old man shouted.
"No," 18 smiles, "I'm going to wake the big guy up," she said and pushed a button to activate the sleeping android.
Seeing and hearing Android 18 awakened a great rage in Ling's heart which started to beat rapidly. Her hair and Saiyan tail starts to glow green and is emitting a green aura. "18!" Ling shouts at the top of her lungs. Startling everyone.
Ling flies at Android 18 at full speed. 17 was on her path but quickly got out of the way. was not so lucky and Ling flew right through him and blasted him into dust.
Ling tackles 18 right out of the mountain. "18!" Ling shouts and throws a flurry of punches at Android 18. Any technique and grace she learned over the years were thrown out the window.
18 however was able to block all of Ling's attacks. Though her arms stung with every attack blocked. So she quickly switches from being on the defensive to the offensive. She met Ling's attack with the same speed and force.
Massive shockwaves were sent and the ground shook every time their punches and kicks collided.
As they continue to fight, Ling's head twitches unnaturally and her right eye becomes completely white and green glowing cracks start forming on the right side of her face. Seeing that took 18 by surprise. However, her moment of surprise made her drop her guard and Ling punches her in the gut and then in the face.
18 caught out blood but regained her footing and shot a full power energy blast at Ling. It made the female Saiyan fly back and land on the ground below. Ling quickly got back up and flew back at 18. She took some damage but her rage made her ignore the pain and kept fighting despite her wounds.
But just then she hears Trunks' voice over the scouter, "Don't let the rage take over again! Remember what you're fighting for!"
Hearing her brother's voice brought Ling to her senses. Her hair and tail turn golden (but has a green stripe in her hair) and her eye turns from yellow to green. However, she still has glowing green scars on her face and her right eye is still completely white. Also, her aura turns yellow.
18 notices the change, "You're done raging out?" she asked.
"Yeah, I'm reminded you're not the same person who murdered someone who was like a brother to me," Ling said in both a calm and angry tone. She then powers up, "I'll show you what I'm made of!"
"Bring it!" 18 said and took a fighting stance.
As Ling and 18 resumed their fight, Vegeta watched on angrily. Not only were the humans successful in creating the Legendary Super Saiyan but made an android capable of going toe to toe with the Legendary Super Saiyan. "If anyone is taking down the Legendary Super Saiyan it is going to be me! The prince of all Saiyans!" Vegeta shouts and shoots a large Ki blast at Ling and 18, "I'll take both of you at the same time!" Vegeta declares and flies at the female fighters at full speed.
"Truce?" 18 asked.
"Truce," Ling nods. The reason why she's willing to team up with 18 is that this is a different 18 and Vegeta's high and mighty attitude is getting on her nerves.
Vegeta recklessly attacks Ling and 18. Both of them can dodge and block his attacks. It was clear to Ling that Vegeta is relying on his strength rather than on skill. Just like what Gohan said. He also said to not let your guard down as Vegeta can spot the smallest opening.
The fight moved to the nearby freeway and it was there Ling had a hard time keeping her temper under control. Vegeta is blatantly ignoring the people around him and only focusing on fighting Ling and 18. He didn't matter who he killed so long as Ling and 18 were one of them.
18 was standing on top of a moving car and was laughing at Vegeta. That angered him and tried to punch her but she dodge out of the way. His fist went through the roof and scared the driver. Vegeta jumps off and makes the car swerve right to a wall. Luckily Ling was fast enough to get the driver out of his car in time.
"Thank you! You saved me!" the man said.
"No problem," Ling said with a smile.
"Look out! He's coming back!" the man shouts as Vegeta flies full speed at Ling. Who's still carrying the man in her arms.
"I have you now!" Vegeta shouts and throws a punch at her.
Ling didn't dodge the punch but instead blocked it with her face and despite putting his full strength behind that punch, Ling didn't feel a thing. Only 18 and 17 are strong enough to deal her damage.
"You're too soft to be the Legendary Super Saiyan," Vegeta growls.
Ling grits her teeth, "You want ruthless? I'll give you, ruthless!" she said in a low growl that sends a shiver down Vegeta's and the man's spine.
"You've pissed her off man!" the man said as Ling kicked Vegeta in the gut so strong that it broke the front and back part of his armour. He was sent flying towards 18 who kicked him in a different direction.
Ling sets the man down in a safe place, "Are you okay?" she asked.
"Yeah, thanks! Go kick that guy's ass!" the man said with a smile.
"I plan to," Ling said and gave a thumbs up. She then flies towards Vegeta with 18 following her.
Vegeta landed were 17 and the Z-fighters are fighting. All of them but Krillin are down. Ling spots a broken edge on Trunks' sword. That surprised Ling as Trunk's sword is sharp enough to cut the androids in her timeline. 16 is there but he's mostly looking at the birds.
Vegeta gets up and powers up to his max power, "I refuse to lose to a fake Saiyan like you! You are not the Legendary Super Saiyan! You're just some weak human pretending to be a Saiyan!" Vegeta shouts.
"It doesn't matter if this body is made in a lab. I am a Saiyan! In both body and soul! I'm not human! Not anymore! I have the burning pride our race is known for! But I'm not a slave to it like you!" Ling shouts back, "And you know what? Kakarot is what a Saiyan should be! Striving to get stronger and get excited when facing strong opponents! Not get jealous like you always do whenever Kakarot or anyone else gets stronger than you!"
Vegeta prepares a Galick Gun, "You've mocked me for the last time!" he shouts and fires his beam at Ling.
"Whine all you like...I AM THE LEGENDARY SUPER SAIYAN!" Ling screams and fries a huge Kamehameha. The beams clash and Ling's beam pushes Vegeta's back easily. Her Kamehameha engulfed Vegeta and destroyed the last of his armour. He's still standing and in his Super Saiyan form but is severely injured.
18 makes her way to Ling's side, "How sad," she said with a mocking smile.
Vegeta just glares at 18, "Sad for you-" he was then cut off when 18 teleports to him and kicks and breaks his arm. He holds it, falls to his knees and screams in pain. 18 quickly knocks him out as she is getting tired of hearing him scream. He fell face first and reverted to his base form.
"He can turn off the blonde?" 18 asked.
"Yeah, we Saiyans have a transformation called Super Saiyan," Ling said and turned back to her base. She noticed there was now a black stripe on one of her bangs. She winces and wraps her arms around herself.
"You okay?" 17 asked as he walked up to Ling and 18 with 16 walking behind him.
"Super Saiyan puts a massive strain on the body. Which is why we end fights quickly," Ling explains.
"Even though we are even in power, we still beat you in terms of stamina," 17 chuckles.
"Huh?!" Ling gasped.
"The big guy's scanners say you are as strong as us," 17 explains and points at 16 with his thumb.
16 nods, "My scanners indicate your power is on par with 17 and 18. My scanners also indicate that stress levels on your body are at max. I highly suggest you rest,"
The three androids start to walk away, "Well, it was fun being off to kill Goku," 18 said and waved.
Krillin steps forward "If you want to get to Goku, you have to go through me!" he said with fear in his voice.
18 smiles at him and walks up to him, "You're cute~" she said and kisses Krillin on the lips. She then walks up to the baffled Ling, "I dig the gold~" she said with a smile and Krillin became the luckiest man on earth because he had an up-close look of Android 18 kissing Ling on the lips, "Cherry," 18 said and she licks her lips. "Bye~" 18 waves and flies off with 17 and 16.
Both Krillin and Ling are blushing bright red, "That was my first kiss," Ling said.
"Mine too," Krillin said shyly.
"Really?!" Ling gasped.
"Yeah but more importantly," Krillin said and handed Ling a green bean, "This is a Senzu Bean. Eat it and your wounds will be fully healed and restored to full stamina,"
"That sounds amazing!" Ling gasped and took the bean. As soon as she eats it, she's back in perfect condition, the taste of the bean felt familiar though, "Wow,"
"Told ya," Krillin smiles, "Help me give the rest of the beans to the others,"
Ling nods, "Okay,"
When everyone got back up on their feet, Krillin explains what happened to them. But left out the part of 18's kiss.
When Vegeta got up he glared at Ling. She felt his gaze and turned to Super Saiyan, "You want to for round two?" Ling growls.
"Humph!" was all Vegeta said and flew off.
"Gohan was right, he is a sore loser," Trunks said as he walked to Ling's side.
"Yeah," Ling nods.
"So, were 17 and 18 this though in your timeline?" Tien asked and rubbed the back of his neck.
Trunks shook his head, "No, yours is stronger,"
"What?!" Tien, Piccolo and Krillin gasped.
"Well on the bright side, we have the Legendary Super Saiyan on our side," Trunks smiles.
"So that explains why Ling's Super Saiyan form looks different," Tien said and looked at Ling.
"It is?" Ling asked.
Tien nods, "Yeah, part of your heir is green, you have glowing green scars on your face and one of your eyes is completely white,"
"Looks to me you're only tapping into a fragment of your powers," Piccolo said. He turns around and summons his clock and turban. "Come with me Ling, I need to take you somewhere you can probably learn how to use your powers. I can't risk you going wild like before,"
Ling look ashamed, "Sure, lead the way,"
"Sure and we will move Goku to a safer location," Krillin said.
"I'll keep in contact with the Scouter and inform you if anything happens," Trunks adds.
"Alright," Ling nods.
"Maybe training with Ling, you can become a Super Namekian," Krillin chuckles.
Piccolo growls at Krillin and flies off at full speed with Ling following after him.
"Where do you think they're heading?" Trunks asked.
"Most likely the Lookout," Krillin said.
"What's the Lookout?" Trunks asked.
"It's where the guardian of earth lives and the place where Goku and we got some special training," Krillin explains.
"Ling's going to learn a lot from Kami, trust me," Tien said.
"Okay, let's not delay. We got to get Goku to a safer location," Krillin said he then blushes, "By the way, 18 kissed me and Ling,"
Trunks and Tien gasped, "What?!"
A/N: I was inspired by the fan film, Legend - a dragon ball tale to change Ling's look and Super Saiyan form. The film is very good and I highly recommend watching it.
