Grant Seeker had spent almost his entire adult life in Diggs County, Florida. He'd moved to DinoLand USA to study palaeontology at the Dino Institute. He'd spent his early 20s digging around at The Boneyard. His mid 20s were spent writing theses about iguanodons - his favourite dinosaur, of course. And now, in his early 30s, he was able to study them. For real. And up close.

It just wasn't the way he expected.

'Get back in the time rover!' he heard a voice in his ear.

'Dr Marsh!' Grant shouted, running from a hungry carnotaurus. 'Help!'

'I can't help you, Seeker - I'm in 1999, 65 million years ahead of you. Get back in the time rover!'

'Not until I tag my dino!'

'I gave you explicit instructions not to tag any dinosaur.'

'It's an iguanodon.' Grant ducked down into a little cave - hopefully the carnotaurus couldn't reach him there. 'I study iguanodons -'

'Then choose a less dangerous time period to study them in - we need tourist cash here, Seeker. I'm not sending them somewhere dangerous.'

Grant averted eye contact with the carnotaurus, praying that it wouldn't see him.

But of course, it did.

The carnotaurus started snapping at Grant, as Grant screamed in terror.

'Seeker?' asked Helen in concern for her employee. 'Seeker, are you alright?'

'I'm gonna get eaten!' he said, backing further down into the little cave.

'Get back to the time rover! I'll bring you home!'

'No longer an option!' Grant watched the jaws of the carnotaurus still snapping at him. The razor sharp teeth were what scared him most. And the darkness.

There was a loud thwack that came from outside, and the carnotaurus went away. In fact, it looked like it was pushed away.

Grant crawled from the cave and saw it.

A dinosaur fight.

Between an iguanodon and the carnotaurus.

And the iguanodon looked to be losing.

Ignoring the wet feeling in his pants, Grant stood up. 'Hey!' he shouted. 'Over here!'

The carnotaurus made eye contact with Grant.

And it was the scariest thing he'd ever experienced. Not even being chased could compare.

The time rover came rolling over to save him. But Grant wasn't ready for that yet.

'Seeker!' shouted a female palaeontologist. 'Come on!'

Grant looked at his team. Then at the carnotaurus. And he ran towards the carnotaurus.

'No!'

'He's suicidal!'

Grant reached for his satchel - still there. Then he pulled out the tracker.

The carnotaurus took another swipe, still trying to eat him.

Grant screamed in terror and his pants got a little bit wetter.

As the iguanodon fought the carnotaurus, he successfully avoided being trampled - or bitten - as he tagged the tracker in the iguanodon's ankle.

He scrambled to his feet, screaming, as he ran towards the time rover.

The carnotaurus followed.

'Dr Marsh!' Grant screamed.

The other two scientists shouted all kinds of curses at him.

By sheer dumb luck, they made it back to the Dino Institute only to be confronted by an irritated Helen Marsh.

A/N

Grant Seeker is hugely obsessed with catching this one particular dinosaur. And we know he went back in time to tag it because he mentions that in the pre-show.

What if there were some things he… left out?

I'm basing Grant Seeker's age on the age of his actor at the time - he would have been 33 or 34 when the attraction opened.

As with the attraction, the iguanodon is Aladar.
