Evelyn's p.o.v.

"Sorry! I'm so sorry.", I apologize, running towards Thor.

"You're late almost half an hour!", he remarks, gesticulating with his hands.

"I know, I know.", I say, slowing down as we walk towards the grounds.

"It's not a good idea to train with an empty stomach.", he speaks, looking at me.

I wave my hand, "I'll be fine."

"Did you call Fury?"

"Yes, but he didn't answer. I will call him again when we reach the training area.", I say, lying about the first part.

The truth is I completely forgot about Fury.

"I was thinking inviting him here and then tell him everything. It's weird pouring so many informations over the phone.", I say, looking at Thor.

"That sounds like a good idea. Will you tell Tony?", he asks.

"I will but first we will talk to Fury.", I say.

"By the way, since you missed breakfast, Hogwarts is organizing a ball.", he informs me and I frown, "A ball?"

"Yea, Yule ball. On Christmas."

"That's nice, I guess. But, is it smart? It could attract unwanted attention.", I say.

"Hogwarts already attracted unwanted attention... that's why we are here.", he states with a smile.

"Yea, you're right."

We reach our spot and I place the sword down.

"Did the sword react to you after our fight?", Thor asks looking at it.

I shake my head, "No. Nothing."

After our warmup, we started to train. I did my best to stay focused but my mind was too wrapped up into what happened last night. When I woke up today, Severus was gone and I didn't see him on my way to Thor. I have a feeling that he's rethinking his "I love you" moment.

Thor hits my sword and I trop it for the third time.

"Are you okay?", he asks, looking at me.

"Yes. Why?"

"You're not focused.", he remarks.

"It's early and I didn't get a lot of sleep last night.", I say, picking the sword up.

"I know that you have a lot on your mind but from yesterday, everything is up to you. We can't travel back until you unlock the swords power.", he speaks, not helping my case.

"That's not putting pressure on me at all.", I say.

"You should be used to pressure by now."

I sigh, "I know."

I close my eyes and take a few deep breaths, trying to empty my mind and concentrate on what I'm doing now.

"Okay, let's go.", I say, taking my position.

We trained for almost two hours but the sword didn't react.

"I think that's enough for today.", Thor speaks, wiping sweat from his forehead with a towel.

"Same.", I say, drinking my water.

"We still need to call Fury.", he reminds me and I nod.

I dial his number and he answers almost immediately.

"Well, well, well, look who decided to call.", he comments immediately.

"Yea, sorry about that. I needed some time to myself.", I say.

"I'm not judging, just glad to see you're still here."

"We have new informations. A few of them, actually.", I say.

"I'm listening.", he speaks and I look at Thor before continuing, "Actually, we would like for you to come here so we can talk one on one."

"I undretsand. I can be there tomorrow, if that works for you.", he speaks.

That's what I like about Fury. He acts and doesn't ask unnecessary questions.

"It does."

"Then it's settled.", he speaks.

"Come to Hogwarts and then we will leave for Hogsmeade. Is that okay with you?"

"Whatever makes you feel comfortable.", he says and I smile, "Thank you."

We end the call just as Severus approaches us.

"Albus needs to speak to you two.", he tells, looking at Thor.

Great. Just great. Another uncomfortable situation.

"About the ball?", Thor asks, picking his backpack up.

"Doubt it.", he says in his usual dull voice.

"Let's go.", I say and we walk in silence towards Dumbledore's office.

And the worst think is that I didn't indicate anything, he did but for some reason now I feel bad about it.

We reach the door and Severus knocks.

"Enter."

"They're here.", Severus speaks, walking in first.

"Ah, welcome you two. Have a seat."

"You wanted to see us?", I ask, sitting down next t Thor.

"I did, yes. I have noticed your absence on breakfast.", he speaks and I briefly look at Severus who didn't react to this.

"Where you informed about the Yule ball?", he asks and I nod, "Thor told me."

Albus smiles, "Good. Now, the Order would like to catch up with the new informations."

I frown, "You know?"

"Hagrid mentioned some visitors yesterday."

"I called Fury today and invited him here. I would like to share everything to him in person... if that's okay with you.", I say.

He nods, "I completely understand. Maybe it wouldn't be bad for him to meet the Order and for all of us to have some crucial discussions."

"That would be good.", Thor speaks.

"Hogsmeade?", Albus asks, looking at us.

"Yes, we thought of that.", I say.

"When can we expect him?"

"Tomorrow.", Thor speaks and Albus nods, "I will inform the Order about this and we will all meet. For now, regarding the recent turn of events, Severus and I spoke about him teaching you Occlumency. It is needed for you to protect your mind."

"Sure.", I say.

"Severus has no classes today and you do have one but Thor can manage on his own, right?", Albus asks and Thor smiles, "Sure."

Albus smiles back, "Well then, go to work and good luck."

"Come on, let's go.", Severus speaks standing up and I follow him.

"Where are we going exactly?", I ask as we go down the stairs.

"Dungeons."

"Are you okay?", I ask, looking at me.

He looks back at me and a small smile forms on his face, "I am, don't worry. Not too happy about the Yule ball though."

I sigh in relief, "I though that you where angry at me."

He frowns, "Why would I be angry at you?"

I laugh a little, "That was my question also."

"I'm not mad, don't worry."

We reach his classroom and go down the stairs towards his office.

"Sit down here.", he tells, pointing towards a chair.

"What exactly are we going to do?", I ask, sitting down.

"To be completely honest, not what I would like to do with you right now.", he speaks and I frown, needing a few seconds to understand the reference.

"I will do Legilimency and you will try to do Occlumency. In other words, I will go trough your mind, memories and you will try to stop me.", he speaks again.

I raise my eyebrow, "So you will be doing what you already done but now I get the chance to defend myself?"

He smiles a little, "Yes."

"But how will I know you're in?", I ask.

"Well, how did you know before that I was in?", he asks, tilting his head.

"I felt it?", I speak, feeling awkward even saying that.

"I will make myself obvious for you, okay?", he asks and I nod.

"But, how do I block you?", I ask before we begin.

"Make your mind quiet and blank. No emotions, no thoughts.", he speaks.

"So, kinda like I'm meditating?", I ask.

"Let's say, yes. You ready?", he asks and I nod.

Suddenly, the memory of me and Thor from earlier pops out.

"I'm sorry.", I can hear myself say.

The memory continues and I do my bet to push Severus out of my mind by keeping it quiet and blank. Of course, I failed.

"Shit.", I say as he stops.

"It's okay. Try not to overthink it. You did it once, you can do it again.", he speaks.

"Okay, okay.", I say as he does his magic again.

Now, he went deeper. I see the first time Severus and I met.

"Evelyn."

"Severus."

"Not much of a talker, are we?", my thought suddenly sounds like I said it out loud.

Wait, he can do that too?

In that moment I panic and can feel pushing him out. It's not working but I'm doing something at least.

"You where right, I'm not.", Severus speaks.

"And now, we know what to aim for.", he continues.

"Is making me feel uncomfortable really the right way?", I ask, looking at him.

"Obviously.", he tells slowly.

This time, I see myself observing the picture of Lily and Severus I took from his room.

"I will always dedicate a piece of my mind, a part of my heart and sections of my soul to the endless possibilities of all we could have been.", I read it out loud.

In that moment, my current emotion of jealousy gets mixed with the past emotion of curiosity and it's hard for me to move that emotion. And the worst thing is that he noticed that.

"Jealousy is a normal feeling."

Suddenly, I see him standing next to me in my memory.

I push him out and open my eyes, "I wasn't jealous."

He smirks, "I never used the past tense."

We are five minutes into this and I already don't like it.

"Do you still think that?", I ask, looking at him.

"I do, but not in the way I used to.", he speaks.

I can work with that.

"Ready?", he asks and I nod.

"What's your favorite book?", Severus asks.

I see myself standing in front of his bookshelf. Oh, I remember this one.

"I like Russian realism. Almost everything from Tolstoy."

"Anna Karenina.", he speaks I smile, "Correct. Love the book. Have you read it?", I ask him.

Soon enough, he kissed me.

"This is not a movie Evie, we are working.", Severus speaks as the memory continues.

We break apart and I'm about to kiss him again when he shifts completely.

"What happened?", I open my eyes and look at him.

"Are we really having this conversation now?", he asks, looking at me.

I cross my arms, "Yes."

He sighs and pulls a chair, sitting across me.

"I saw a book that Lily gave me and... made a mistake. I'm sorry.", he speaks.

"Yea, I was really pissed.", I say and he chuckles, "I realized that."

"Okay, I'm sorry for the interruption, I just wanted to know.", I say.

"Can we continue now?", he asks and I nod.

The next memory I see is the one from a party that Tony threw a few weeks before I went to Hogwarts. I see Steve and me talking and instantly panic because I know how this one will go. Shit.
