"Where is it Tikki!" Marinette rooted through the pile in her closet, and shook the empty miraculous box; Nothing dropped out but some residual dust.

"Don't worry Marrinette! It has to be here somewhere!" Tikki encouraged. Just be careful not to..."

At that moment Marrinette's little finger grazed the edge of the mysterious golden band of the lost miraculous and there was a flash of white light.

Oooo

A while later...

Oooooo

Adrien looked up, and smiled brightly at Marrinette as she slowly descended the stairs. She was beautiful in her summer dress! He had never seen her wear it before, but that that wasn't what brought him to his feet. She had a dazed look, and looked around holding her head. She looked up suddenly when she spotted him, and smiled in surprise. "Adrien! You're here already! I thought you were just meeting me at school with the coffee!"

Adrien looked back at her confused. "But, Uh...Marrinette, you just told me a few minutes ago that I was supposed to wait for you down here. I already gave you the coffee when I...um...when I walked in on you changing..."

"You what?!" Marinette squeaked, and she reddened to her ears.

"No, no, it's not like I saw anything...well...not nothing...but not everything...but, that's not what I meant...It wasn't like I meant to...I'm not a peeping Tom or anything, I just...I thought you were okay with...I mean you acted fine when I explained before..." Adrien sputtered, wondering why the wide-eyed petrified look on Marrinette's face was making him talk in circles.

"Adrien! What are you talking about! I never talked to you this morning, and I certainly never..." Marrinette shook her head, pressing the right side of her head, like she had a headache coming on. Then her face blanched. "Oh my gosh! I totally forget about my project! What am I going to do for the internship presentation! I must have fallen asleep and totally forgot too..." With a strangled squeak of alarm, she raced back upstairs, with Adrien following her with fear gripping his heart.

When he stood up, behind her in her room, she didn't move. She just stood starring at the finished presentation board leaning against her computer desk. She froze, just starting at it in disbelief. "How did that...when did I...I thought I must have just passed out after getting home...I don't remember..." Marrinette mumbled to the air.

"Marrinette! Princess! You're starting to freak me out! You didn't hit your head in the shower did you? What's going on?!" Adrien asked desperately, grasping both her hands in his own.

"I...I...don't know..." Marrinette's brow furrowed. "I don't...don't remember any of this..."

"What do you mean you don't remember!" Adrien's voice turned horse. "There is not some Akuma in here that took your memory is there?!" He scanned the room quickly, half fearing Oblivio to pop out at any moment. That is when, in horror, Adrien caught sight of the tipped open miraculous box on the ground by the closet. Frantically he grasped both Marinette's shoulders, and demanded, "Who am I?!"

"Adrien! What's gotten into you?! You're Adrien, the one and only Adrien Agreste of course!" Marrinette nervously smiled at him, wondering if this was some kind of joke...the fear-laced rims of his eyes made her try to pull away though.

"No...no! Not that me! Who am I really?! Who am I to you?!" he urged, gripping into her shoulders firmer.

"Adrien, now you're freaking me out! You know how I feel about you!" Marrinette looked up at him.

"Tell me!" he begged, like a man thirsty in the desert.

"Adrien, I love you! I love all of you...even your quirky Kitty side too..." Marinette leaned her forehead against his, wondering how deep his insecurities lay if he was so desperate to make sure she hadn't stopped loving him since their parting last night.

Adrien took a noticeable breath out, and dropped down next to her, as if the stress of the moment had sapped all his strength. Marrinette dropped down next to him, putting her hand on his knee. "You know I'm not going to suddenly stop loving you right?! We both said exactly that just last night!"

Adrien smiled at her in relief, and kissed her cheek. Then he shook his head. "Sorry, Mari, I thought for a second that maybe you came into contact with the forgetfulness miraculous...the one that might be connected with that unicorn-type kwami, Oubliee,we found in the Peace trials. I thought for a second there that you had forgotten all about us...about our love...me being Chat Noir...everything! I don't know what I would do if...but of course you obviously didn't...I just got freaked...I mean I almost wish you had forgotten about the fiasco of me walking in on you this morning, but..."

At the mention of the morning events, Marinette's head shot up, and she stared at Adrien blankly. "Adrien..." Marinette said slowly..."I don't...I don't remember this morning...I don't even remember getting home last night! I thought I was just tired, but no...nothing...it's just...blank!!" Marrinette's voice broke and she started to shake. Both of their eyes darted toward the empty miraculous box.

"Tikki!" Marrinette's voice wavered.

The Ladybug kwami poked her head up from behind the chase lounge chair, and shook her big round head. Then she looked from Marinette to Adrien. Then she ducked back behind the sofa with an "Eep!"

Marinette and Adrien exchanged a questioning glance, and Marinette scrambled up to her feet to retrieve Tikki.

"What's wrong Tikki?!" Marrinette asked softly, kneeling beside the chase lounge chair. "You're not hurt are you?!"

"What is Adrien doing here?" Tikki whispered frantically. "I can't believe you called me out right in front of him. There is no way he won't find out you're Ladybug now!"

"But Tikki!" Marrinette said in concern. "Chat Noir...I mean, Adrien, found out I was Ladybug weeks ago!"

"Chat Noir?! You mean you know he's him too?! Weeks! Why didn't you tell me?!" Tikki asked in a hurt tone.

"But...you were there! Tikki what happened to us?! I can't remember anything in the last few hours and you can't remember anything that has happened in the last few weeks!" Marrinette's face paled. Her normally calm, and cheerful kwami had a look of dread on her face, and she shook her head with drooping antennas.

"Well, I was not caught unawares!" Kaalki suddenly piped up, appearing out of a portal in the room.

"Kaalki!" Marinette reprimanded. "You know you're forbidden from trotting around through portals on your own! Now I'm going to have to summon a lucky charm to fix whatever chaos you've set loose in the cosmos! No trips without a weilder!"

"Worth it!" Kaalki rolled unimpressed eyes at Marrinette.

"Kaalki!" Marinette snapped. "I'm the guardian!"

"Yeah, and it was your idea!" Kaalki shot back.

"What?! My idea?!" Marinette sat back stunned. "Why?! Why would I..."

Adrien and Tiki looked from one to the other thoroughly confused themselves, and on edge with the way there were more missing details than answers every second.

"To protect him," Kaalki nodded towards Adrien. "You knicked the miraculous of forgetfulness and unleashed Oubliee within. Tikki rushed in and blocked you from the brunt of the power, but then you told me to send it where it wouldn't reach the Cat-boy over there."

"How do you still remember?" Marrinette asked stunned.

"I was in the miraculous box when she shot out, protected by its magic, and then I just opened a portal behind her. I sure didn't get near her myself!" Kaalki crossed her hooves, and turned up her nose. Do you think I want to relinquish any of my glorious memories?! Certainly not!"

"Kaalki," Adrien spoke seriously, "where is she now...where is Oubliee?!"
