~Few days after detention~

I was sitting in cold common room watching how the green flames danced across stone walls inside the fireplace. It was so beautiful, but I wasn't in any mood to appreciate it. I was sad, though I don't know why. My father was here just a few moments ago. He came to scold me because I skipped my classes. I don't actually care . What I did cared about is that thought of my mother couldn't get out of my head. Why? I have never been so concerned about her lately, so why now? I shacked my head trying to get rid of that thought. It was no use pouting over. I sat there for A few more minutes before deciding to go outside.

I grabbed fresh meat from the kitchens and then easily snuck out of the castle. Through these years I spent at Hogwarts, I have learned how to get past Filch without him seeing me. It was actually very easy. He almost always relies on Miss Norris, and believe or not she likes me. She has never let me down... I love that cat.

As I stepped outside of the castle, cold air blowing at my face. It was only six o'clock but it was already frigid. I tugged my jumper closer, not allowing the wind to bite my skin. I tried to move around Hagrid's hut slowly, careful not to be too loud. Unfortunately, I failed, stepping on a branch and creating a loud noise that echoed through the trees. I did the only thing I could think of... So I ran, right into the Dark Forest.

After several minutes of running I stopped to take a breath I didn't even know I was holding. When I calmed down I slowly headed towards place where Thestrals where. I knew every part of the Dark Forest, at least parts were Hagrid let me go. I knew exactly where my favorite creatures were and without fear of getting lost.

As I walked deeper into the forest I noticed that a rather odd sound was growing louder and louder. At first, I thought it to be another group of thestrals. Though as I continued walking I knew that noise to be the cry of a wolf. I began to run towards the sound. The cries from this poor animal where almost to much to bear.

I was now out of the parts of the forest that I knew. I had no idea where I was or what was the cause of this animals pain. I had nearly made it to the source when a giant spider appeared in front of me. I had found the cause. The enormous spider was attacking a big white wolf with everything he had.

The wolf was crying for help. His back and neck were covered in deep wounds. Blood was everywhere, I couldn't think straight.

Due to the immense amount of fear that was clouding my brain, I couldn't remember any spell that might help. So I lift up a rock and threw it at the best. Obviously, this wasn't my best idea, for the sounder now faced me.

The spider swung it's front legs around, trying to hit me. Luckily I moved in time to miss it's blow. As I was trying to get away from him an amazing idea crossed my mind. Spiders don't like fire. I smiled at the knowledge that was flooding back in me.

I took out my wand but didn't managed to cast the spell, a spider suddenly appeared in front of me. He knocked me onto the dusty ground, his huge pinchers were just inches from my face. I wanted to scream but my voice never made it out. Then, when I thought that it was all over, the wolf suddenly jumped on the monster back. The spider started shaking, trying to throw the wolf off.

In one moment he threw the wolf with such force i could hear the bone crack against the tree. I took this opportunity to cast the spell.

''Incendio!'' I shouted and the fire covered the spider. He immediately ran away.

My whole body was aching but the white wolf was in way worse condition. So I ran to him hoping he was still ok. Blood was everywhere his beautiful white fur now was almost crimson.

''Are you okay?'' I shouted still trembling with fear. He didn't move, not even an inch. He was just lying there unconscious and bleeding out. I sat beside him and took my wand from the back of my trousers.

''Please be okay.'' I mumbled choking on tears trying to remember the proper spell. Why can't I remember any spells when I actually, need them?

''I hope it is this one, Vulnera Sanentur!'' I held my wand over the wolf's wounds. Blood slowly starting to move back towards the wounds but that is it. The wounds weren't healing. I probably didn't do it right. I don't even know how to properly cast this spell. I have seen it just once in one of my fathers books. I took piece of my shirt, tore it and carefully wrapped wounds so that more blood wouldn't come out. I had just started to wrap his leg when he woke up. He started to growl at me.

''It's okay!'' I wanted to pat him on his head but he tried to bite me.

''Please don't be scared I just want to help,'' I whispered. He turned his head slowly in the other direction. I could swear to God that he just looked offended.

''I am not scared!'' He said. Yeah right. I giggled a little.

I quickly finished with treating his wound. He didn't speak to me the whole time. This was new to me because animals almost always want to speak to me. When I was younger I always was with Hagrid and somehow I started to love animals and beasts. That was the time when I found out that I can speak with them. I think that is the best thing that ever happened to me. I was so happy when the giant squid told me one winter that the ice was not thick enough to ice skate yet.

''All set!'' I said when I had finished. The wolf stood up and started walking away. We'll... More like limped away.

''You know a simple 'Thank you' would be enough!'' I said little disappointed.

''I didn't need your help!'' He said in monotone voice. ''But thank you!" He said so quiet that I barely heard it.

''Your welcome!" I smiled widely.

''Please take this!'' I took out the meat from my bag. ''I don't need it anymore.'' He took meat and then he bowed to me. I bowed too. He then walked away and I went back to the castle. It was already late and everyone was probably in their common rooms by now. I carefully went through the corridor hoping that Filch don't see me. When I got in common room I quickly went in my room and went to bed. Not but a few seconds later Pansy came barging into the room, slamming the door. She probably saw me when I entered in the common room.

''Where you have been the whole day?'' She shouted, I jumped at her surprising volume.

''I...I...'' I lost my words.

''You haven't been in any of your class whole day!'' She looked so angry. ''Are you crazy? And what have you done to your face!'' She come closer to me and took my face in her hands and start examining it. I shook my head trying to release myself from her grip.

''Nothing! It is just a scratch.'' She just looked at me with an unbelieving expression on her face.

''Okay! I was in forest!'' I was angry because I couldn't lie to her.

''In forest!'' She shouted. ''Are you mad?'' She sat down beside me.

''Yes, yes I am! I like that place!'' I can't tell her about the spider she would freak out.

''And I accidentally tripped over and rock and fell. So that is why I have some scratches on my face.'' I lied easily this time.

''Okay. Please next time say something to me or Draco. We were so worried that something happened to you!'' I could see that she was worried and I felt terrible because I lied to her.

''Sorry I will next time.''

''We thought that Potter and that blood traitor Weasley do something to you...so we hexes them.'' She blushed a little, and she started laughing all of a sudden. I couldn't help myself and I started laughing too. I do not really know why. We laughed for some time and after that we went to sleep because we were to tired to do anything.
