Today is the day when I have to meet up with Draco, and I'm not really happy about it. We didn't talk much since he told me about his plans for Christmas. I just couldn't bring myself to talk with him.

My father helped me to get to Diagon Alley, and after that he went back to Hogwarts.
I slowly went to the place where I had to meet Draco. I was getting impatient after some time until finally he arrived. He was alone, and for a brief second I thought that Lucius was going to show up beside him. I was so glad he when didn't.

"Hello!" He said when he was close enough.

"Hi!" For some reason the whole situation seemed weird. As if we were strangers.

"So, shall we start searching?" He asked while pointing at the closest shop.

"Sure! Do you have any idea what she might like?"

"No," He said biting his lip, and looking at another direction.

'This is going to be so much fun!' I thought to myself.

We spent hours and hours of searching but we didn't find anything. There was so many things but none of them were good enough for Pansy.

We bought some sweets and we set down on one bench to rest a little.

We ate in silence for a while when I decided to break the silence.

"What do you think of jewelry, or maybe clothes? Do you think that she would like that?" I started talking about random stuff that could maybe be a good present, but I stopped when I realized that Draco wasn't saying anything.

I nudged him a little and he was startled.

"Draco, what's wrong?" I asked even though I wasn't really interested in what he had to say. He was probably going to talk about something stupid as always.

"Nothing!" He said and stood up.

"I am not going to move until you say what is wrong!" I shouted angrily.

He took a deep breath and sat down. "You do know that you have to speak with my father later, right?" He said while looking directly at me not blinking.

"Yes I do, but why is that a problem? "I looked at him weirdly. I didn't expect that. I thought that he would talk about Potter or be arrogant as always. This is really weird.

"My father is going to question you about your family. He didn't believed you when you said that you were a half-blood." He paused for a moment to straighten up and to make himself look taller. "Our family respects pure-blood wizards and extremely hates those who are unworthy. So don't make a mistake!"

Here I am thinking that something happened and he just opens his mouth and destroys everything.

"I stand by what I said last time, so don't worry about me, I am going to be perfectly fine!" I smirked triumphantly.

"Wait...what?!" He blushed almost unnoticeably. "I am not worried about you!"

"Sure! There is one place that I would like to show you," I took his hand and pull him to come with me. He tripped but he kept on following me.

I took him towards the one weird looking shop. The shop was bright yellow and it was oddly shaped.

When I pulled Draco inside his eyes widen in surprise.

"Merlin's beard, where did you take me?!"

The whole shop looked like a giant mess full of all kinds of stuff. The shelves were enormous and they looked like they would collapse any moment from the weight they were carrying.

"When I was little my father used to take me here!" I smiled. My father indeed was taking me here all the time, and I would always buy something. "My room at home is full of things from here. I am positive we can find something for Pansy!"

He smiled a little and we started searching through the old shelves.

"What do you think of this?" I took one pair of silver earrings and turned towards Draco.

Draco just shook his head. "Somehow they look too simple."

I put it back and while I was searching for something else I found an old box with a skull attached on its cover. I immediately recognized it.

I found it once when I was six years old. It scared the crap out of me.

"Draco," I called for him. I had a crazy idea and I knew that Draco wasn't going to like it .

When he turned towards me I throw the box to him. "Catch!" I shouted and he easily caught it.

"What is this?" He turned it around and ran his fingers across the skull, and because of that, the eyes of the skull started to give off a creepy green light.

He leaned into the box and the moment he did that the skull opened its mouth and started to scream in a high pitched voice.

Draco freaked out and dropped the box. He looked at me with a horrified expression on his face. And I started laughing like a lunatic.

"What the bloody hell was that?!" He asked while trying to catch his breath. "And stop laughing! It is not funny at all!" His whole face was red, even his ears turned crimson and on his pale face his blushing was easily noticeable.

"Oh, believe me it is! You should have seen your face!" I said while trying to calm myself, as it was just too funny.

"Oh, shut up!" He turned and disappeared among the crowd.

After some time we found a beautiful necklace with a little black dragon who was holding a bright blue stone.

We agreed on this one because of Pansy's favorite colors being blue and black.

When we were ready to leave a long black scarf caught my eye. I immediately remembered that my father's birthday was in January, and that that was a perfect opportunity to buy him a present.

"What are you doing?" Draco asked when he realized that I wasn't beside him.

I snapped of my thoughts. "I just remembered that I have to do something," I said and went towards the place I saw the scarf.

"What?" He sent me an questionable look and after that he started walking behind me.

"You will see! I just forgot to buy something!"

I took the scarf and went towards the woman who had been working there as long as I had known.

"Excuse me, could you please write something on the edge of this scarf? I would like to give it to someone," I asked her as politely I could.

"Sure darling, but that is going to be a bit expensive," She said with a small smile on her face.

"I am well aware of that."

While we were talking about what I wanted to be on the scarf, Draco constantly looked outside clearly upset. He was probably looking for Lucius. That was the only thing that I could think of, because soon it was the time he had to come and pick us up.

When I finished, Draco and I quickly left the shop.

Lucius was already here waiting for us. And as much as I could see, he wasn't very pleased with us being late.

"I'm sorry, we are late, Father," Draco said while looking at his feet.

A flash of anger ran on Lucius's face but it disappeared as fast as it appeared.

"Hello, Miss Moore!" He smiled, but to me this wasn't a smile. It was forced and somehow cruel. "How was your day?"

"It was splendid, sir!" I bowed a little. "Draco was amazing company," I felt like I had to add something like that because I thought that it would help both of us.

"Of course he was!" Lucius said throwing a quick glare at Draco, who has been quiet all along.

We apparated to the outside of the Malfoy Manor, and I was surprised when I saw it. I wasn't expecting it to be like this. It was much darker and bigger than I imagined.

The inside wasn't any different. The whole manor was mostly black or grey.

I felt really uneasy while walking down the hallways. "I thought that rich people would have more taste," I thought to myself while following Lucius and Draco to the dining room.

"Draco take our guest to your room! "Lucius demanded and after that he left us alone.

Draco took me to his room. The whole thing looked bizarre. I didn't dare to say a single thing and I think that it was the same for him.

We entered the room, for the first time sine we met Lucius at the Diagon Alley, I somehow finally felt at ease.

Draco's room was way different than the rest of the Malfoy Manor. The walls were dark green, but even if they were dark they fitted perfectly with the rest of the room. The bed was placed in the middle of the room. It was covered with green and black sheets to match the walls. At the other end of the room was a huge window which lit up the whole room. So even if it was filled with dark colors the room looked somehow light.

In one corner of the room was a huge shelf with all kinds of books which caught my eye as soon as I saw it.

"Wow! You have soo many!" I smiled in amazement "Have you read all of them?"

"In fact I have. Some of them are really boring," He smiled and took one of books out. "But some, like this for example, are amazing! I've read it hundreds of times!" He smiled even wider. He looked so different when he smiled, that if he wasn't in front of me I wouldn't believe it was the Draco that I know.

"You should smile more, it suits you," I said without thinking, and the moment I did that, he returned to his old cold self.

"I don't think so." He said almost whispering.

"I have to say that your room is way prettier then the rest of the manor," I said trying to avoid strange silence.

"My mother and I designed it when I was little."

"That is amazing! It seems to me that you have better relationship with your mother."

"Where did you get that idea?" He said avoiding my eyes.

"I don't know I just had a feeling that you don't like your father very much," He quickly turned towards me and his cold eyes looked at me as if they could see right through me "I... I mean... I never heard you speak in front of him," I quickly added because I was somehow afraid of his reaction. I am at his house after all.

"Don't say something like that!" He was half whispering. "He will kill you," he whispered so quietly that I almost didn't hear him.

Wait what?! I can't believe what he just said... I don't think that someone will kill me just because I said something like that.

I tried to say something but someone knocked on the door. Both Draco and I jumped in surprise.

'It couldn't be Lucius, right? I mean, there is no possibility that he heard me.' I tried calming myself down but it was pointless, there was no answer from Draco that could calm me down anyway.

When an house elf went inside the room, I sighed in relief. My lungs were finally free and I could breathe again.

It is weird how such a meaningless thing could make you shiver in fear.

"Young Master, your father wants you and your friend to come down, dinner is about to start!" The elf said in loud rough voice, while bawling the entire time.

Draco nodded at elf and motioned him to go away. Draco looked suddenly cold and his face was expressionless. It was his usual look at school but I finally saw that this thing in front of me isn't the real him, it looked like he had some kind of stone mask on his face and it was painful to look at it.

The room I was now in was dark like any other I saw today, and for a moment I thought maybe just maybe their main room would at least have some Christmas spirit in it. But, oh God, how I was wrong.

The room was big and almost empty, in which there was just an enormous black table with a few candles to light it up. There was nothing that could say that it's Christmas. I hoped for some decoration or at least a Christmas tree, but there was none.

'Rich people are so weird!'

Lucius and Narcissa were already sitting and waiting for us to come.

The atmosphere were weird. It was quiet and the only thing that could be heard was the quiet clatteringof very expensive plates.

I couldn't bear the silence, and because of all the black surrounding me I felt like the walls were choking me.

I gently put down the fork which I had been holding pointlessly for about a half an hour, since I lost my appetite the moment I set a foot in this house.

"Draco told me that you wanted to speak with me?" I said as politely I could since I had to break the creepy silence, and it took me all my courage. I have to do this.

"You're well informed," He put down his fork and looked at me, and I wish he didn't. His gaze was cold and somehow deadly.

I just nodded because I didn't have the strength to say anything.

"Would you mind joining me in other room?" The words he said were polite, but the way he said them clearly told me 'Get up and come with me if you want to live'.

He didn't had to tell me twice. "Of course," I stood up and went with him to another room.

"I have a feeling that my son already informed you about what I wanted to ask you!" He said as soon as he closed the door.

"Yes he did!" I kept a straight face while trying to prevent my emotions from coming out.

I wanted to say that I am pureblood and that I am the daughter of an amazing wizard, just to rub it in his face. But I kept my mouth shut, I can't do that because he will then found out who I am. I hate that I have to pretend that I am something I am not, when I am so much more.

We had been talking for almost an hour. He did ask me the thing that Draco mentioned.

He never believed my words. Lucius asked so many things but in the end he wasn't successful. I think I managed to fool him but I am still not sure, since he didn't believe me last time.
