AN: I own nothing. If you recognise it then it's probably not mine.
This is an MCU fic mostly about technology and Wakanda.
The doors slid open as I entered the high-speed elevator. I pressed the button with 78 written on it.
Not even a second passed and without me feeling anything I had reached the 78th floor of the Mena Ngai. Before the doors of the elevator opened a bright light flashed and a machine voice sounded afterwards.
"Verified, Dr Victor M'Charu."
The doors then opened and I walked out. I took my lab coat which had seemingly magically appeared in front of me.
"Hey old man, how you doing?" I asked in Xhosa as another entered through the elevator next to the one I used. The two elevators came from totally different places that were all close to the mena ngai mine.
"Ahh, Dr M'Chara. I'm good as always. I just hate the hot summer weather of Birnin Zana." He answered with a smirk. He spoke the same language as I did as he got ready for work with his coat also appearing in front of him.
If one looked closely they would notice that the coat was hooked to a tiny string-like metal that appeared from a room on the side of the elevators.
I chuckled at his joke. Birnin Zana was a smart city, the most advanced in the whole of Wakanda and most likely the world. The weather never changed whether it was hot or cold outside the city it would be constantly warm here. A perfect 21 Celsius. Living here was odd, I was the best person who could testify to that.
People here were born and raised in the city. Most hadn't left for their whole lives and I was the same. The only difference between me and them was the fact that this place was only fictional in my past life.
'Wait, is it the only difference between me and them? I mean this...'
I said while looking at the top of the old man's head as we walked towards the main lab for our morning meeting. I wasn't looking at his shiny black, hairless head, no I was looking at the words written above his head that I knew only I could see.

'Is a big difference.'
It showed a short description of the person but seeing it for the first time surprised me. I mean, I knew being reborn in the marvel universe might have been horrible but I had lived my life well enough without powers or anything special. It had been like my previous life, nothing special just a normal human.
In Wakanda, I didn't have to worry much about being in danger and I had time to plan out my life. I was sure that I was in the MCU with the information I had. Although the New York attack had occurred a few months ago it also meant Ihe world was safe for now since Thanos and ultron were a few years away.
Anyway, my powers had manifested/awakened 2 years ago while I was in high school.
According to the system, I had survived the duration of my previous life, 16 years, and the system judged me as worthy enough.
'Status.' I thought as an illusionary screen appeared in front of me.

My gamer system wasn't complicated but it took a lot of work and struggle for me to get here, especially since no AI was helping me like most novels and fics.
Luckily, I found a guidebook just after getting the system. Weirdly, the guidebook was physical and I ad found it lying in my room.
I lived alone so no one had seen it. Even if someone else had entered my room try wouldn't have seen it since it was invisible to anyone else. It did make me question how powerful the creator of the system was.
Hard work was the only thing that brought me this much progress. My level may have seemed low but the average level of a human was 10. Elites were between level 11 to 15 and superhuman or abnormal beings were level 16 upwards. I had met T'Chaka, the current king and black panther who was level 50 which was insanely high but still reachable for me in 2 more years or so.
'If my plans go well then maybe even less.' I thought while remembering how even if I didn't reach his level then through points I could at least match him.
The guidebook had told me the use of points which were the most important part of the system.
The guidebook had told me what advantages the system gave me. Kind of like advertising the system and showing its perks to its user.
The most important of them was the points. Points could be gained through quests and when levelling up I would get 2 points which I could freely use.
Points could be used in the system store which I could only unlock at level 25. And they could also be used for my stats.
I hadn't saved any of my stats because if my plans went well then I wouldn't need to worry about them. So since the beginning, I've been putting all my points into intelligence which helped with memory, analysis and problem-solving.
It was what I needed most right now.
I sat down on my chair as we chatted while waiting for our boss who would start the meeting. My attention was still on my status screen though.
I just wondered if I used the 2 points I gained at every level wisely.
'Maybe if the wisdom stat existed I would be happier. If my plan works out then it's okay but if not then...' I didn't want to think about what would happen if Thanos attacked and all I had was an incredible memory. 'Well, whatever I chose this type of system anyway.'
There was really nothing I could do. I couldn't blame the system either since it had given me the choice of either using a magically orientated system or one that was broader but lacked magic. Being in Wakanda made it an easy choice for me.
Science was the main thing here and being magical would attract attention anyway.
I remember how investing my points in intelligence had slowly made me recognised as a genius almost unmatched. 'Almost' being the keyword here.
As if on cue the person who made the word 'almost' significant appeared while following a man who looked to be middle-aged. She looked a bit younger than me her height being the main reason for that. She had beautifully braided hair and her dark skin was clear of blemishes and I bet her charm stat was pretty high.
The man in front of her, our boss and the leading researcher cleared his throat to attract the attention of everyone and he spoke with a clear and confident voice. I didn't listen to him since the meeting was just to brief us on what we would be doing.
The main project was improving the usage of vibranium and things related to the research of new projects we've been working on.
The only notable projects were the black panther suit and the most surprising — contingencies if Galactus ever attacked and inevitably destroyed earth.
Hearing that for the first time had been surprising for me.
"Hey Victor," Shuri said with a smile after the end of the meeting.
"This unworthy one greets her beautiful highness, Princess Shuri, "I smiled back as I performed a small bow.
"This exaggerated greeting is really getting annoying..." She said with a small blush forming on her face. "Anyway, I think I have an idea for the project we've been working on." She waved her hand motioning for me to follow her.
I thought about how I had come to this place and met her as we had some small talk.
Before this, I had been a normal guy. I had actually spent a whole 5 years worried about what would happen if aliens attacked or something but after that, I decided to go with the flow. Being anxious all the time wasn't helping me so I just decided to try my best in this new life.
With my previous life knowledge school was a breeze. At least in the early years, it was. Once I got to high school I noticed the difference between my high school and a Wakanda one.
The subjects and knowledge they had were so advanced that I had to work hard and wasn't seen as a genius anymore. Still, I wasn't your average guy with how I younger than people in the same grade as me since I had skipped grades in the early years as a "genius".
When I turned 16 in my last year of high school(Wakanda had 14 grades, I skipped 2 and finished at the age of 16 instead of 18) I got my gamer system and my productivity rocketed. After putting all my points, of a level 15 at the time, into intelligence I could easily memorise and analyse information. This led to me being seen as more than just a normal genius.
After finishing high school with a perfect score, I spent 1 year in university. Even then I got perfect scores and I was then given an offer to join a military research centre at the vibranium mountain, Mena Ngai.
After joining it a few months ago I became an intern here with the king—the black panther's daughter, Shuri. In this universe, she was a little older than in the MCU with her being around 17 at that time.
When I first got here I noticed that we didn't have much work since Wakanda promoted creativity and freedom so other than research given to us as a priority we could really do our own things.
That was till I became close to Shuri. I thought it was because she was the king's daughter so she was treated differently. Having her own lab and being free to experiment and research as she wanted but I was wrong. Terribly wrong.
If I was a genius then she was a monster. Even the lead researcher wasn't as creative or knowledgeable as her.
We finally got to our destination which was a room.
"So is it working as expected?" I asked but I knew I didn't expect much.
Our first excitement together was a very crazy one that went against a lot of things but it was also something that would work in marvel.
"The time chamber isn't ready yet..." Shuri answered. It was an obvious answer the time chamber was something that I had come up with when we first met and I didn't think we would take it this far.
"We just need to understand more about quantum mechanics. Every other theory I had of how to slow down time was impossible without needing an impossible amount of energy. This is the only one that could work but the quantum realm is too complex and a lot more research is needed." Shuri explained.
Her expression showed both excitement and disappointment. Learning more about the quantum realm was incredibly hard. It could be said to impossible and would need a lot of time and money investment.
Even though she was the princess of wakanda, she still wouldn't use a large amount of money just for a research project based on a crazy theory.
'Luckily, I know just the place to get the research needed. At the same time, I could also save Janet Van Dym who is stuck in the quantum realm. That could get me closer to Hank who could further help with our research.' I mean who could be a better help than the creator of the ant-man suit himself?
I didn't tell Shuri of my idea though. To her, this was just a project for fun that we used to challenge ourselves.
To me, this was a quest.

[You have triggered the quest: Hyperbolic time chamber!
Money is power. Time is money. What everyone needs most is time. Imagine if you could control it, imagine if you could slow it down, imagine the possibilities of the hyperbolic time chamber...
Objective: Build a similar room to the hyperbolic time chamber.
Reward: 1 billion EXP.]

The quest had triggered randomly when the shirt had first asked me what I wanted most. I said time casually because I wished I had been reborn 30 years earlier since I could have done way more. My level could have been way higher.
She had joked about manipulating time ourselves and when I had thought about endgame and how they had time travelled the possibility had popped up in my head and the mission triggered afterwards.
At first, I didn't want to take it seriously but damn...the reward.
The reward was just crazy.
I told Shuri to not worry about it. We treated it as a failed experiment and I went home after the day was over.
I entered the house that looked simple and old on the outside but was incredibly advanced on the inside.
Without wasting time I went straight to the basement where a was opened after I touched it with my finger. It scanned my fingerprints and the brick wall slid open.
A large lab with many vials and mechanics laying around appeared. This was where the real experiments occurred.
Done. Writing a marvel-gamer fic is bold. I know. Especially since I have no experience.
My goal is to have fun while improving my writing skills so I'll see where this goes. I just hope it works out. It's kind of my first fic and I'm a little nervous but we'll see I guess.
Ps: I hope you enjoyed and I decided on a schedule of a chapter every 2 weeks.
If you want chapters early you can find them on my pa troen where I release a chapter every 4 days. So basically you'll get up to 3 chapters advanced but don't worry since in the end ill release all of them here, this is just so that you can support me as an upcoming writer.
