I'm sure I stood with a smile on my face for at least 5 minutes while staring at the notification. I hadn't even known about the existence of classes and I thought the type of system I had chosen was the reason for the lack of a class but I guess acquiring it is just different.
I immediately checked my status screen and the changes made my libs curve up in the largest smile I had displayed in probably my whole life.

Even though my level had decreased to 20 which in turn decreased all my stats, it was well worth it. The 50,000 EXP didn't go to waste. Without even considering everything else the suit was a masterpiece that could help me a lot in the upcoming battles.
'Also I didn't know that the progressions could become classes. Does this mean I can get another profession related to something else now? What happens when that progression reaches level 50?'
I had a lot of questions, the system wasn't exactly the same as those I had seen in many other fanfictions and novels I had read.
Not only did my profession level reach 50, which should be the halfway point to max level, but I also got something I've been wanting for a long time — Electromagnetic energy!
This was because I couldn't use the skill [basic machine control] efficiently without it.
———
[Basic machine control (lvl 3)
As the gamer, you can't be your average mechanic without anything supernatural that makes you stand out as the one and only player among NPC. This skill allows you to go beyond controlling your machinery and gives you a deeper connection with them, of course only at the BASIC level.
-Mechanical army — Control any piece of technology built by your hands no matter the distance. (The amount of distance, number of machinery controlled, and size of the machinery will determine the amount of electromagnetic energy used.)
1EmE used per machine/per 10 meters
- Sudden Burst Control— This allows you to control anything you built as long as it is close to you(100 meters) without cost for 10 seconds. 1 hour cooldown time.
-Electro Boost —Use your electromagnetic energy to power a piece of technology close to you. (Cost depends on use). 10-minute cooldown time.]
———
The description of this skill had hinted that at some point I would get electromagnetic energy. I had expected it at max level but this just made things easier for me.
This skill seemed to have a lot of potential and I couldn't use it effectively till now. The only thing I had done before was use 'sudden burst control' which had caused me to feel like the machinery around me was an extension of my body and my perception went past just controlling them with technology but I could make them do things that were supposed to be impossible.
This was the reason I had built my nanobots. If I couldn't control them through technology then maybe being the system would be where I had an advantage. Although for now, the nanobots had a lot of room for improvement.
I looked at the box filled with the nanobots which each had an area of about a millimetre and was cube-shaped. Even though each nanobot was only a millimetre in area they still filled the large box.
Each nanobot was incredibly easy to build and only the microchips took a bit of my time to build. I had made a small machine which built the outer shell of the nanobots and all I had to do was provide the materials needed. Which needed money but being a researcher of Wakanda and a friend of the princess kinda dealt with that. The nanobots were small and didn't need a lot of materials especially since I only needed raw materials.
The outer shell of the nanobots was made of an alloy I had created through the 'Advanced technology design' skill...
'Which is one of the reasons I'm still stuck at level 20.'
It was worth it though since I had created an alloy which was a mix of vibranium and nickel and iron— ferromagnetic metals which allowed the nanobots to be magnetic and easily connect to each other. They needed a small amount of vibranium which I used for its special property that absorbed energy to make it more of a rigid metal.
This metal was the same one I had used when making a few pieces of my kinetic bio-suit. That's why the nanobots could become one unit and build different shapes in an almost perfect sync.
The 'almost' was because of the issue with the programming. With the programming I had done into their microchip network they could only turn into simple things like a larger cube or any other shape and I had also added more complex structures. One of them that I had first put was the human hand.
The issue was that they wouldn't move so perfectly when they made a complex structure like that and the fingers would sometimes lag. It was pretty useless to make since you couldn't really do anything with the large hand created by a hundred thousand bots.
I had built more than a hundred thousand nanobots and each of them had to follow the commands of the main computer which connected them through the microchips meaning there would be mistakes with the movements of each microbot at times.
'Now I can skip the hard part and use electromagnetic energy to control them however I want.' An uncontrollable smirk graced my face. 'Now to test it out...'
I moved my hand while using the skill 'EmE control' to move the energy that I could feel inside me. It felt like it was in each and every cell of my body but was mostly concentrated in my brain. A warm current-like feeling passed through my body and entered my surroundings. I extended my hand and made a fist.
I closed my eyes and I could then feel the machinery around me. I concentrated on the nanobots and I could feel all of them. Each and every one of them seemed to be communicating with me and as I accessed the main computer that controlled the microchips network I could feel the nanobots climb up towards my hand and wrap around my fist.
I then punched outwards and all of them flew forward and created a wall in front of me. With a wave of my hand, the small wall crumbled and formed a large cube.
With a thought, the cube then moved and covered my legs and slowly tried lifting me up but a headache assaulted my head which made me stop using my EmE which in turn caused the nanobots network to crumble.
I clutched my head almost screaming because of the pain. It calmed down after a second but I was sure I wasn't going to try that again.

'So the command I give also determines the amount of energy needed to perform it.' I wanted the nanobots to pick me up and well... that failed.

The sound of my alarm brought my attention back to the main point. I was leaving today. I hadn't slept and it was 7 am already, I needed to get ready since I was meeting the prince before I left.
[Saturday 22 December 2012
8:30 am
23 C, 8.3465% of rain.]
I checked the time on my phone as I walked through the streets of Brinin Zana.
The cities of Wakanda were both incredibly advanced and also very different from what a person would expect.
Many people walked around the streets with their clothes showing the beautiful African culture. This made them seem primitive but if you looked closely and were from Wakanda you would know that the beads and bracelets were advanced technology that couldn't be found anywhere else on the planet.
The streets were filled with merchants since I had come to the market area. Apparently, this is where T'Challa wanted to meet me and I didn't understand why.
Since I wasn't going to be leaving right after meeting him I had already worn the biosuit under my normal clothing. Since it was so thin it was easy to hide under my clothing.
It also felt great since it enhanced my stats making me feel great. It motivated me to get the extremis virus even more.
I walked towards one of the merchant stands and ordered the food he was cooking there — a wakandan speciality. His eyes widened as he looked closely at my face while giving me the food I had ordered.
"D-dr Victor?!" He said his eyes widening even more. " I didn't notice that it was you!"
He said then he took out the money I had given him.
"You don't need to pay you may have that for free," he said with a smile. "The work you and Shuri have done for our country is already enough."
Before I could deny and give him back the money I was interrupted by a familiar voice.
"It is indeed true." The person said as he put his hand on my shoulder stopping me from giving back the money. "You should accept kind gestures. It would seem disrespectful if you don't. Plus you and Shuri have indeed done a lot for the country."
I turned around meeting his eyes. It was T'Challa as I expected, I was familiar with his voice from the movies. Seeing him was weird, this wasn't the first I saw him, he had come to check up on our research multiple times, but it was the first time we met up close.
He looked exactly the same as Chadwick Bosman but younger, in his late 20s if I were to guess.
"Kumkani(1)—" I said, crossing my arms with an 'x' and almost bowing.
"I am not king yet..." He interrupted but still performed the wakandan greeting — crossing his arms as an 'x'. "The bow is unneeded."
The stall owner did the greeting and left us, walking back to his stoves. He could probably tell that the situation was private.
"Follow me." T'Challa continued before I could even say anything.
I followed and we had small talk as we took public transport to somewhere else. I wondered what he wanted to talk about, I was only told that before I left the future king wanted to meet me.
I also pondered about the situation with the stall owner. He was too respectful which was the reason I wore a hoody and glasses while out in the open in Wakanda. Too many people knew about me because of what Shuri and I had done.
This wasn't hard since we had the help of a whole team and it was a large military project. The lead researcher, Shuri's guided since she would be the next lead researcher, had credited most of the work to me and Shuri. Which is something I couldn't deny since our ideas had helped a lot but it had also made us, or more so me since Shuri was already, very famous.
The high energy efficiency had allowed the increase in the strength of the shield which surrounded and hid Wakanda making the place staffer than ever. Which made us even more famous causing a lot of people to respect us and call us the 'young genius duo', heroes of Wakanda and things like that.
'Incredibly annoying.' It was why the stall owner treated me like that.
It wasn't the treatment I hated. It wasn't that bad. I just didn't like the feeling of being called a hero.
I wouldn't do something for someone else without my own benefit. Selfishness was a part of human nature and that was my only justification for not wanting to be a selfless hero.
'Being a hero just isn't my thing maybe at some point I'll think about it some more.'
It just seemed like a sad idea. Saving people who most of the time weren't even thankful. This was the reason I was going to the US, getting extremis would be incredibly helpful for me.
'I wonder how powerful the people with the virus are.' I thought while looking at the scenery outside which passed by quickly. The transportation here was very fast and efficient even though it was public. It was the reason almost no one owned private vehicles.
The public transport was a hovering vehicle that looked like a train. It could transport about 30 people at a time and moved at the speed of sound, literally.
It only took a few minutes for us to reach out destination. We claimed of and it loomed like a random place outside the city. There was grass everywhere and it was evident that this was a small grassland with a few trees dispersed around the area. One particular tree caught my attention since it was a pretty famous tree because of its large size and because T'Challa seemed to be walking towards it.
Is that a Boabab tree? Isn't this the tree T'Challa trained under when he was young... this means whatever he wants to talk about should be either personal or pretty important.
I wonder what it is.
The tree was large, one of the biggest and most beautiful trees I had ever seen. The grass was long and untamed showing how this area had been grasslands before humans had changed the environment.
As we got closer to the tree I could see more of its details and how old it seemed. Somehow the tree seemed to ooze out a presence that was calming.
"It's beautiful isn't It?" T'Challa asked, noticing how I had been staring at our surroundings.
I simply nodded. The real reason was that I recognised the place from comics I had read.
"This is my favourite place to go when I need to think and rest." He continued as we came to a stop right in front of the tree. He touched the tree, stroking it while he looked like he was reminiscing.
After a few seconds his smile faded and a serious expression replaced it.
"Anyway, I'm sure you're wondering why I brought you here today?" He asked rhetorically. He then sighed. "This matter is of some importance and to be honest I did not want to be the one to tell you about it. But well since we're here, I'll start with something as simple as our history.
As most know Wakanda's history is based around the Gods of Wakanda and Mena Ngai. Without them a lot of our history would have been very different.
The Mena Ngai for instance, with its radiance is what caused the existence of the heart shaped herbs. Meaning it caused the existence of the Black Panther, our protector.
But the part I want to focus on is our military power. What most people know is that our military is one of the most powerful in the world but what mist don't know is why...
And that's where the M'Charu family comes in...your family.
Thanks for reading! Also sorry for the late update to make up for it Chapter 5 will be released in about 3-4 days. I just couldn't update because of personal reasons but now everything is okay so I AM BACK! XD

If there are inconsistencies or small mistakes please tell me since I had to write this after a while of not writing.
Also, the numbers you see in brackets are words from another language that I didn't want to translate since they sounded better in the original language and the meaning will be written here if they are ever in a chapter. If you didn't notice it then there was a 1 next to the word Kumkani and I'm probably going to do that more often so yeah...watch out for that I guess.
1 — Kumkani means King in Xhosa, and Wakandan I think it means the same thing in Zulu. Both are South African languages that are spoken in the Black Panther movie.
Thank You For Reading! and Thank you to everyone that posted a review it helps with motivation.
