I do not own Destiny or Percy Jackson, I only own my OCs.

Hey guys, welcome back! I know it's been a little under a year but I wanted to finish up another story I had going so I have been working on that. This chapter will be following Cayde and Orion mostly so I hope you guys enjoy it! Let's do those guest reviews.

Arrowhead (reply by Slim): They might not go as far as to wipe them all out or go out of the way to wipe them out at the moment but that's all right now. Guardians don't take too kindly to slavery.

Raven (reply by Slim): Like many things in destiny the guardian's ability to reproduce is never explained. So the community has people who think they cannot and those who think they can but choose not to. I am of the group that says they can but chose not to.

Ghostly (reply by Slim): Indeed it is a problem that needs fixing but as it is the guardians do not have the numbers to deal with all the world's crime as of yet but in a way, the guardians will have an intelligence network at some point. Osiris is kinda working on that.

Guest #1 (reply by Slim): Yeah they are going to be very happy about that. At the moment though they are more than likely going to settle for destroying this building and freeing the people inside.

Guest #2 (reply by Slim): Will there is still a chance for them to be… not enemies?

Anonymous (reply by Slim): Yeah me too.

Now the story!

"Zoë," Artemis called to her lieutenant. "Have the wolves caught anything?"

"No, my lady."

Artemis lightly punched a tree in frustration. Not only had she been groped by that accused hooded boy he had once again slipped through her fingers in her pursuit. It was humiliating, no insulting to have this boy harm one of her hunters, escape from her hunt multiple times, grope her, then disappear again. She was the goddess of the hunt and here this nobody was making her look like a fool. Even now word was beginning to spread about the hooded man who can automotive the goddess of the hunt. Among the Dryads, it was spreading like wildfire, as the nature sprites loved to gossip. It was only a matter of time before the monsters would start mocking her even more than before.

This had to end, this boy needed to be taught a lesson.

"We're doubling back, he must have slipped away when he lost sight of him!" Artemis ordered, the hunters immediately moving to follow her orders.

"My lady, if I may," Zoë spoke up, Artemis nodded her permission to speak. "Perhaps we art going about this incorrectly."

"How so Zoë?"

"The boy that I ran into a few months ago. Our target saved him from mine blade, I believe that our target shall stop to save someone if they are in danger allowing us to capture him."

"An interesting plan my lieutenant, however, laws prevent us from taking mortals and intentionally putting them in harm's way. We would have to wait for one to come across us on their own."

"We can pose one of our own hunters as a mortal my lady."

Artemis thought it over for a moment. "Find a volunteer Zoë, preferably one that has not been seen by our target yet."

Zoë bowed. "I shall see to it, my lady."

Of course, the trick now was to find a place to put their trap. A monster or two would also help sell the ruse, but that would also mean she would need an experienced hunter that could keep away from the monsters while selling the lie that she was an ordinary girl. Artemis could easily place a mist ward around the chosen hunter making it harder to detect her blessing.

Before she could continue her thoughts thunder cracked across the sky. Her father had just called a meeting, and while she did not want to leave her hunters to such a dangerous task she trusted them enough to handle themselves.

"Zoë! I must return to Olympus you are in charge." Artemis called to her second before teleporting herself to the Olympian council hall.

Artemis appeared on her throne in her adult form. The rest of the council was already present aside from Ares and Hera. Odd-even for the war god, he knew the consequences of missing a meeting called by Zeus, but that was his problem, not hers, so she brushed off the matter. It was very possible that he was becoming even cockier now that the Fates had lost control over fate. Her father soon spoke up.

"It has come to my attention that Ares's physical form has been destroyed," Zeus spoke evenly but there was anger lingering in his tone. The rest of the council adopted shocked expressions but remained quiet. "As of now, we don't know who Ares fought or who was able to defeat him. According to Hades, Ares's physical form should be reconstructed within the week. We shall have another meeting to discuss what happens when he reforms. Has there been any odd entities or persons that any of you have encountered?"

The gods looked among themselves, looking over each other's faces trying to find any sign that they might know something. None of them seemed to make any obvious signs that they had come across something new or out of the ordinary. That was until Athena spoke up.

"I did encounter a strange mortal some time ago." The goddess of wisdom confessed causing all eyes to fall on her. "I discovered a mortal teleporting around a library, he was very focused on gathering as much knowledge as possible. Even when I caught up with him it took a few moments before I could bring his attention away from his musings. Soon after he was contacted by someone, he named himself Osiris and spoke in a language I've never heard before. He soon left by teleporting away, I have been unable to locate him since. He also mentioned something called the darkness-"

Apollo flinched, the god was not his usual upbeat self. Even after he stopped receiving random prophecies the effects on the god still lasted.

"and he needing to gather as much knowledge before it arrived."

"Could this be one of those fate-breaking beings Hades spoke of?" Poseidon wondered out loud. "I don't think the real Osiris would bother remembering mortal history so badly."

"It's possible," Zeus replied grimly. "Has anyone else come across such a mortal?"

"I have," Artemis spoke up everyone's attention falling on her. "The boy I have been chasing after has been out running my hunt for some time now. I am beginning to believe he is something more than a demigod."

"Or maybe you're just losing your touch." Aphrodite jeered, earning her a death glare from Artemis.

"I am not losing my touch!" Artemis declared slamming her fist on her throne. "This boy is faster than any demigod I have ever come across even I struggle to keep up with him much less catch him. He can disappear without so much as a trace and he has not even fired a shot back at us. This… creature, is dangerous. And if I had to guess Ares encountered one such of these beings, fought it, preceded to underestimate it, and caused his death at this thing's hands. What else could best Ares without drawing any attention?"

"I seem to recall Ares essence gathering at one point," Demeter commented. "But I could not sense where it had gone and it dispersed back to normal not too long after."

"Do you mean to suggest that Ares entered his true form?" Zeus clarified.

"If he had gathered his essence then it is very likely," Athena added. "But that would mean whatever defeated him was able to do so when he was in his true form. Such an action would have left traces of his divine energy around the area he fought. We might be able to find it if we got close."

"Then we must uncover these beings," Zeus replied grimly before going quiet for a moment. "Hera and I also encountered a… being of immense strength. He appeared as a mortal would but managed to punch me across New York before I knew what happened. He too disappeared before I could confront him again. Hera managed to get a look at him but has not left her chambers and refuses to see anyone."

"What shall we do father?" Athena asked.

"Each of you shall continue to search for these beings," Zeus answered. "Athena, you continue to search for this "Osiris", Artemis you shall continue to hunt this boy, I will make inquiries to the being I came across. The rest of you be cautious, if these beings killed Ares then they may become emboldened by it and try again."

"What if they are still targeting us father," Athena replied.

"We cannot know for certain at this point." Zeus declared. "This meeting is adjourned. You have your tasks to do."

Each of the gods began to leave in their own methods. Artemis returned to her hunt, she had a male to catch.

"Hey, Ori- Owe." Cayde cried out as he was struck by a rock.

"Your teleporter dropped me on top of a woman Cayde!" Orion declared coming out of his hiding spot.

The Vanguard Hunter had ridden his sparrow to the Old Guard Hunter's location soon after he teleported away. The hunter did not go far as the teleporter had sent him some five hundred miles away. An easy distance to clear with a sparrow.

"Hey but your still alive, silver lining." The Hunter Vanguard restored rubbing the side of his head.

"More like silver arrows, turns out that woman was a part of the Girl's Amateur Hunting Party!"

"Silver arrows? People still use those?"

"I don't know really Dewi tells me that they are giving off some kind of energy signature. I've been running circles around them for most of my time here. Their definitely not normal humans though."

"Uh, ever think about seeing if one is a hunter?"

"Not really no, but Traveler knows they don't like me. I mean, I had to subdue one not long after I got here and that seemed to set the rest of them on me and even if they got some form of power up I can't start blasting them the lot of them are just kids."

"Kids can be terrifying, and cruel, they travel in packs you know." Cayde countered seriously. "But we better be getting back to finding some hunters. I don't feel like getting an ear full from Osiris when we get back, I don't need two Zavalas. Hey, those girl scouts still around?"

Orion shook his head. "I lost em a while back, if anything they're a few miles out by now."

"hmm, Orion how many times have you run across these girls?"

Orion thought about it for a moment. "If I had to guess five or nine times, I've crossed paths with them."

"Is there something going on here Orion?" Cayde asked adopting a suspicious tone. "One is an anomaly, two is a coincidence, three is a trend, and right now you're trending heavily with these guys. So, spill the glimmer of what is going on with them."

Orion bit back a sigh.

"Something about them feels familiar. Ever since I started reading up on this Greek pantheon I have been feeling off about them. The hunting goddess Artemis in particular, it's said that she has a bunch of maiden followers that join in on her hunts. She gives them blessings for swearing off men and whatnot. Traveler, I don't know if these girls are the same hunters but there is something about them that draws me in."

"Are you saying, what these people may have something to do with your past life?" Cayde asked carefully, bring up a guardian's past life was never a safe subject.

"I can't say for certain. From my research, there was a giant or demigod guy who had the same name as me. Traveler, even then has a bunch of conflicting Legend around him. Some say he was a hunter that fell in love with some Chios princess, but the king gave it a no-go and blinded the guy. The guy has his vision restored by sunbeams from a rising sun and he hangs out with the goddess Artemis. It starts becoming unclear here again as I am either killed by trying to rape Artemis, her brother Apollo tricks her into killing me because she was getting to like me, or I get killed by a scorpion monster. Then I get placed up in the stars."

"You started referring to yourself as this person at the end there." Cayde pointed out.

Orion growled in annoyance at the slip-up. "Slip of the tongue."

"Let me play Darkness' advocate here." Cayde began. "You are this Orion guy in legend, nobody can agree how you died. During the dark age and the untold number of centuries later you were reborn as a guardian, spend the next few millennia being said guardian ended up being set back in time. You happened to come across a Vex experiment that sends you back in time where this pantheon is still around well after their attached civilization fell from power. If you are the same Orion then that means A: This Artemis goddess was to murder dead, B: she was to jump your lighthouse or C: we found out why you hate scorpions… or D: all of the above."

"I did revive you in Greece," Dewi added.

"I rather not deal with a goddess like that." Orion shook his head. "I mean you of all people know I know my way around a bedroom so if I am this Orion guy then she is going to want to kick my ass."

"Till death do you apart." Cayde offered with a smile and thumbs up.

"Yeah, not with this goddess!" Orion countered. "I haven't even mentioned all the people she's killed and judging by the fact that those hunters see guys as persona non grata I can only imagine how bad she is. Traveler she is known for killing guys who accidentally wandered into her hunt."

"Yikes, maybe not a person to get involved with," Cayde commented. "One thousand glimmer says we are going to have to fight them."

"I don't take losing bets Cayde."

"How about this, thousand glimmer to me if we have to stand and fight them, and a thousand glimmer to you if we can get away from them next time we meet."

"I've been outrunning them for a while now Cayde. You sure you want that bet?"

"I like the chances." Cayde smiled back.

"Fine," Orion answered after a moment.

"Nice! Now, how about we swing by the nearest city to pick up some ramen, and we can scrounge around for some applicants." Cayde called out before summoning his sparrow and speeding off. "Last one their pays!"

"Hey, at least start at the same time!" Orion called back summoning his own sparrow and speeding off after his fellow hunter.

The two hunters raced each other to the nearest city, not totally trying to keep their race secret. As they approached the city the two dismissed their sparrows and took to running the rest of the way. Luckily the age-old rule kept the two guards racing from going noticed as people did not often look up. In the end, Cayde had arrived first closely followed by Orion. Orion would be the one to order and pay for the Ramen before bringing it back to a more private area for Cayde. After eating the two began searching the city for anyone with signs of becoming a guardian. Their search appeared to be fruitless until Cadye's ghost reported an ever so slight light reading. The two would track the light sources to a rundown apartment. However, upon gaining access to the apparent, which looked like it had been broken into, found the body of a middle-aged man. Dewi confirmed that this man held the light signature they were looking for.

Inspecting the body and hacking into the local network shed some light on the individual. His name was Clark O'Brien, he was a former Navy SEAL who retired from service after an IED took his left leg and mangled his left arm. Misfortune seem to chase Clark as he came home to find his wife had walked out on him, he had been unsuccessful in tracking her down. Looking into credit card purchases led the guardians to believe Clack frequented a bar drink more often. The look of the semi-isolated apartment indicated a botched robbery where Clark was shot dead. A scan revealed that he had been dead for just under a week.

Unfortunately, Clack was an only child and his parents had long since died of medical compilations. He was alone and had no next of kin to contact aside from his wife. Sundance gathered all information on him and compiled it into a folder before sending it to the Guardian's home network. As it stood Clark had enough light in his bringing to become a Guardian as they had hoped. Yet it was preparable to find a living guardian to be. Orion took it upon himself to take the body back to their base while Cayde remained oldy silent.

"Cayde, you look like you're considering something," Orion commented while he prepared Clark for transfer.

"I think I'm going arrange a little talk," Cayde said pushing himself off the wall and heading for the door.

"Don't do anything too drastic."

"Me? Drastic? Just going to inform next of kin and maybe visit some wildland justice upon some people." Cayde replied pushing the door open. "Besides I need to get back out into the field for some solo missions."

'Sundance find me some robbers.'

'Sure thing boss!'

The hyper-advanced construct easily pieced together footage from security cameras throughout the building and city. Sundance identified three hooded individuals as the robbers and found their hangout to be a smaller bar on the northernmost side of the city. Cayde immediately set off in that direction after his ghost confirmed that the three were at the bar. The EXO moved with purpose dodging and weaving through buildings with unnatural speed. Before long the hunter Vanguard stood on top of a building across the street from the bar in question. Luckily his ghost had just finished programming the hologram projectors for his EXO systems allowing him to walk in without exposing himself as a futuristic war machine.

In a moment Cayde's robotic face was replaced with a human's. As Sundance had designed it the now human-looking Cayde was very handsome, but that was nothing new, bright blue eyes and fully well-kept brown hair with a slightly aged face finished off his human appearance. Given that the holographic projector used hard light Cayde did not need to worry about someone touching him and breaking the illusion.

Making his way down to the street Cayde crossed over to the other side of the street approaching the bar before entering the bar itself. A bell announces his arrival, causing the few patrons in the bar to look over towards him. There were about a dozen people in the bar not including the dark skin bartender. They, of course, gave him an odd look given that he was still in his guardian armor. His targets were sitting in a corner booth, two guys both in their mid-twenties, and a lady about the same age.

The younger of the two guys looked like the third wheel of the group, putting aside the other guy had his arm around the girl. He was a little scrawny looking and a little emotionally fragile given he was picking at his food before Cayde entered. He had messy blond hair and brown eyes that screamed "I did something bad, and I don't want to get caught".

The older of the two guys had more of a punk look with his studded leather jacket with his jet black hair swept back and held in place with jell. He seemed like the type to suggest they rob a place if not just to get a rush of adrenaline and maybe a few dollars in stolen goods. He seemed not the least bit regretful and if the bulge in the side of his pants was any indication, armed.

The girl seemed like your typical Jockette, she was learning to the older guy with a hand inching towards her presumably boyfriend's crotch. She had long light brown hair and hazel eyes with clothes that held on to her form to show off her curvy figure. She seemed to still be riding the high that came from their robbery.

Cayde began to walk over towards the back booth grabbing one of the vacant table chars as he went. The hunter Vanguard dragged the chair over creating a ruckus. Once at his destination Cayde dragged the chair to the head off the table backward before sitting down and putting his arms on the chair's backrest.

"You lost," The older of the two guys spoke pausing for a moment to categorize Cayde's outfit. "Space boy?"

"Clark O'Brien." Cayde began looking at the robbers' to judge their reactions. They didn't make a reaction meaning they didn't even bother to learn the name of the man they murdered. Even still the younger kid flinched. "ring any bells?"

"I don't know what or who you're talking about dork." The girl spoke in her support tone. "Get your own table and leave us alone."

"He was a crimpled SEAL, who was found dead about thirty minutes from here." Cayde went on, the younger of the two guys was sweating now.

"The fuck you trying to say motherfucker!" The older of the two demanded learning forward kicking his plate aside.

'The bartender just called the authorities.' Sundance reported.

'Slow em down for me will ya.' Cayde replied.

"I think this is all just a misunderstanding." The younger guy suggested trying to get up from his seat. Cayde didn't stop him as Sundance had already composed a full case against the three.

Even if he did get away, he was not going to be on the run for long. No Cayde's real targets right now were the other two, especially the older guy. He was more than likely the one that pulled the trigger. The other two were probably going to get charged with an accomplice to murder. All that mattered now was putting them away or meeting out outland justice.

The older guy took this as the moment to act as he drew his pistol from his pants. However, to a guardian, and a hunter most of all, he was painfully slow. Cayde pushed the younger kid back into the both causing him to fall and hit his head against the wall dazing him. Faster than a human could hope to react Cayde drew his knife and toss it at the arm of the older guy's weapon arm. The knife easily punched past his clothing, flesh, and bone before implanting itself in the wall pinning the guy's arm to the wall. The older boy scream and pulled the trigger of the gun causing it to discharge a bullet into the wall.

The bar became filled with shouting soon after the gun went off. People started running for the exit while others tried to hide underneath their tables. While this was happening, the girl shot up from her booth and tried to run only to be tripped by Cayde's foot as she went. She fell to the ground but was back up and running for the back exit before long. The younger boy tried to get back still dazed from hitting the wall. Cayde delivered a quick punch to his temple sending the kid off to dreamland in an instant. Looking back the other guy was trying in a desperate attempt to pull the knife out of the wall and unpin his hand but he was much too weak to do so.

Turning Cayde began to walk towards the back exit, he was not about to let some robber get away. Just as he was about to turn into the hall that led to the back exit Cayde was stopped by the bartender wielding a shotgun.

"That's enough of that, the cops are on their way!" The bartender declared pointing his shotgun at Cayde.

However, the bartender had chosen a poor place to stand as he was right up against the bar table. This table had one of those doors that were part of the table that had to be lifted to enter. Picking the under part of the table sent the catch flying up and into the man's outstretched arms. The shotgun went flying out of his hands and landed on the far side of the bar while the bartender was knocked to the ground. Cayde turned and went after the fleeing robber.

The hunter exited the bar, quickly spotting the woman running down the back streets. Cayde ran to catch up. The EXO easily caught up with the room grabbing the back of her shirt and pulling her back, the woman fell back landing on her butt slightly dazed from the sudden movement. Like the younger kid back in the bar Cayde delivered a quick punch to the woman's forehead knocking her out. Tossing her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes Cayde began to walk back to the bar depositing the robber at the back exit police sirens were already starting to get louder.

Summoning his sparrow Cayde sped off out of the city soon ending up in a forest some distance away from the city. Now being far enough away from any civilians Cayde turned off his projector returning him to his normal appearance.

"All in a day's work right Sundance," Cayde said only to suddenly have his sparrow ripped out from under him. The sounds of a hunting rifle ripping through the forest as Cayde felt himself rolling on the ground. Sending out one of his legs to stop his rolling Cayde used the remaining momentum to get back to his feet. His sparrow flew past him before blowing up, sending bits of the vehicle flying in every direction.

Cayde drew his backup hand cannon and began to search the surrounding forest for the one that attacked him.

"Cayde, that you? I could have sworn I was just seeing things but that armor and horn belong to no other." A voice called out to the hunter.

"So we know each other, I must owe you something if you shot my sparrow. By the way, you're paying for that." Cayde called back, still searching his surroundings.

"Ya well, the last time I saw you Sundance was dead and your body was resting on a table." The voice replied as the rocks next to Cayde explode from the round piercing through them. The reverberating echoes of the sniper resounding through the forest.

'Boss Taken energy signature at four a clock!' Sundance reported to her guardian.

Cayde spun on his heel and cracked off four rounds in quick succession towards the direction Sundance told him. The sound of splitting wood and a single shield spike was the hunter's reward for his shots.

"You know I heard your Adio logs, went looking for them after your death, and after Uldrin the little bastard." The voice said again as a taken rift appeared and out came four taken sions only to suddenly run off and split into other copies of themselves and begin firing at Cayde the entire time.

Cayde tossed a grenade at the gathered taken sions, the resulting blast taking out a few of the squad. Firing the last remaining rounds in his hand cannon the hunter quickly dispatched the rest of the sions. As the hunter reloaded something crashed into Cayde's side grabbing onto the hunter and taking the hunter with whoever hit him.

The Hunter Vanguard found himself being used as an improved battling ram as he smashed through tree after tree. Cayde shields remained strong for the first dozen or so trees before they started to waiver. After the next set of a dozen or so trees, Cayde's shield overloaded and went into recharge prompting the one carrying him to pick the guardian up and toss him back first into the ground. The force of the impact created a small creator in the forest floor while kicking up dust and other loose debris.

Glancing up Cayde only managed to make out an armored foot reeling back before he found himself flying back further into the forest. Looking behind him he saw the cloaked figure cracking his shoulders and fist before grabbing what appeared to be a Cabal minigun. Cayde scrambled to his feet and began to dash sideways into the forest, scorching rounds of fire ignited and ripped apart the trees as Cayde dodged and jumped away from his position.

While running the hunter spotted a dip in the landscape low enough for him to dive into and get under the weapon fire. Taking a moment to breathe as bullet rounds tore through the forest just above him.

'Sundance can you contact Orion?' Cayde asked as he prepared for his counterattack.

'No taken energies are too thick to get a signal through.'

'Alright let's switch it up a little.' Cayde commented as he switched his light focus to Arc.

As soon as his shields came back online Cayde vanished from sight before jumping up from his cover and began to dash towards the incoming fire. Using his hunter speed Cayde dodged out of the way of incoming fire getting ever closer to the figure firing at him. As Cayde broke through the tree line into the small opening where the cloaked figure was firing from, the figure's head perked slightly upward as Cayde closed in on him. Charging one of his knives with arc light he slashed downward at the cloaked figure.

The figure had only enough time to bring up his weapon in an attempt to block the incoming attack. Cayde's arc-charged knife easily cut the cabal minigun into two before continuing his assault, sending a barrage of lightning-fast attacks at the figure. The figure managed to dodge most of the attack yet more than a few cut into the figure's cloak tearing at it.

Cayde quickly spun in place while willing his arc light to shoot out of his body creating a blast of arc light energy. The resulting blast caught the figure off guard, destroying his cloak and damaging the armor underneath. Cayde paused from his assault as the figure stumbled back arc energy dancing over his body.

The scorched mask was the first to become apparent It seemed to have been fashioned after that of the ahamkara The fusion of other armor seemed to meld with it along with the splotches of taken blight. The chest piece also seemed to be fashioned in a bone-like way but bits and pieces of it seemed to shift and move as if the ribs that they were supposed to reflect were breathing. A faint orange glow reverberated from it. Shoulder pads were rounded and compact allowing for more mobility while the actual wrist themselves were covered in spiked chains. His legs looked more like the hide of Hive than actual armor. His entire body was coated in frost and taken residue, but there was something else. A faint glow of orange under it all as the smallest flickers of what could only be described as roots seemed to start sprouting out.

The glowing runes of The Hive marked and scared parts of the armor as they seemed to be absorbing the arc energy into them. A titan if Cayde had to guess.

The titan's armor began to frost over as his right hand began to freeze over taking over the shape of a large fist. Yet Cayde senses were telling him this was no simple ice, it felt like the area around him was beginning to freeze over as if reality itself was slowing down to a crawl. If Sol light was the representation of fire and life, then this was the stillness of death. It was Darkness.

The titan charged forward slamming his ice-covered fist into the ground, not unlike a striker. The same dark energies surged forth covering the immediate area in the same ice that covered the titan's fist. Cayde's body began to freeze over, it felt as if the coldness of death had reached out to grab him, his shield failing soon after. Quickly switching his light focus to Soler Cayde let his sol light surge out breaking him out of the thin layer of ice that had formed. Cayde's golden gun taking shape in his hand all the while.

The hunter brought his golden gun down to face the titan but the titan was already closing with the hunter. Cayde pulled the trigger causing the concentrated blast of sol light to shoot out of his burning gun, the first shot struck the titan however it did little to stop the charging titan. His hand managed to knock Cayde's gun into the air causing the second blast of sol light to shoot off into the sky. Grabbing onto Cayde the titan headbutted the hunter causing his head to be knocked back before sending his other frost-covered fist into Cayde's side. Blow after blow slammed into Cayde's side covering his body with frost before his sol light melted it away. His whole body trembled as the strength of a titan and of this dark energy slammed into him over and over. Soon enough the darkness-infused ice began to encase his body in ice.

The titan backed away as the round from Cayde's golden gun began to show its damage as the frost began to break away into nothing. Reaching down the titan grabbed at the air only for a pistol to transmit in. A very familiar-looking gun. The barrel of the Ace of Spades lined up with Cayde's head. In a flash, the world turned to black.

Cayde's body shattered as the round from the hand cannon smashed through stasis ice covering the hunter. Cayde's ghost was forced to appear as her guardian died, before the ghost could flee Marquee rushed forward grabbing the ghost in his hand. Channeling the stasis darkness into his fist he covered the ghost in stasis ice. The titan was about to crush the ghost before something stopped him.

Memories came flooding back to the former guardian as he remembered how his Cayde died at the bottom of that Awoken prison. He remembered leading a one-man war on the reef to avenge his fallen mentor. He remembered killing Uldren Sov with the same Ace of Spades that now sat in his hand, remembering going out of his way to fix the damaged weapon. He noticed that Cayde was using a different hand cannon. He had never seen the hunter use any other hand cannon than the Ace. So why didn't he use it against him?

It occurred to Marquee that this Cayde was not the same as his. He remembered Osiris speaking about different realities that were similar but different in some ways to their own. It was very possible that this Cayde came from a reality where he escaped the Awoken Prison. He was not his Cayde… but he was still Cayde.

"Azazel, scan the body." He muttered as a ripple formed orange light flickered as a miniature pyramid formed. The ghost flew over the shattered remnants of Cayde's body before looking back.

"Memory banks acquired, time until encryption decoded. Unknown." The voice rippled in an overlapping way. Flowing back up to him he nodded his head. Looking back at sundance.

"Unknown beings approaching, advise departure." The ghost said back. Marquee nodded his head staring deeply at Sundance.

"This is your chance, raise humanity as fast as possible. You have a year before my hive is unleashed." He said, kneeling down towards Cayde's remains. Marquee unleashed a solar wave melting what was left of the stasis on Cayde. Marquee reached down and placed Ace into his hands. He stood up to prepare to leave before looking towards Sundance.

"Tell them to make it count." Letting her go, a rift opened up as he started to walk towards it. "And to deal with these leeches sooner. Or I will." With that, he walked into his throne world.

Moments later a bunch of young girls in silver clothing arrived at the sight of the battle.

Here we come to the end of the chapter. Thanks for the read and I hope to see you guys in the next chapter! Hopefully coming out sooner than this one hehe.

God bless and be ready for the coming semester battle brothers!
