Bookstore Surprises
Chapter Five
Hermione went straight to her room after dinner. She had spent the time between getting home and the meal thinking about how she needed to stop thinking about the man she saw at Bōchord. 'Damn it.' She thought irritably and began pacing. 'We stood facing each other for only a moment and now he is all I can think about. What the hell is wrong with me?
'At least no one thought anything was wrong during dinner. I don't know what I would say if someone asked me what's on my mind. I wish that-'
A tapping noise at the window interrupted Hermione's thoughts. She looked towards the window and saw a very pale Barn owl looking at her, waiting to be let in. She hurried towards the window and opened it. The owl flew in and landed on her desk. She followed after it and untied to packaged that was attached to its raised leg. When she was done the owl gave a soft hoot and took off. Flying out of the open window.
Hermione frowned at looked at the package noticing a note sitting on top of it. She was curious about what it could be but didn't open it right away. Instead she took her wand and determined that there wasn't untoward about the note or package. Having done that, she set down her wand and picked up the note. There was nothing on the outside except for her name. She unfolded it and read,
"I believe that you forgot this in your haste to leave Bōchord. It would be a shame for you to not be able to enjoy it.
L"
