Hi guys so sorry i haven't updated, I've been very busy with my work. I've also haven't mentioned that in my story it will be a bit more modern, my oc and characters will have social media and other things just want to clear it up before moving forward.

Chapter 14

Kiara couldn't help but smile at the memories of last night. She had to admit that Kaiba is a good dancer, before she left. She thanked him for a wonderful time.

Now it's Sunday morning she made plans to meet her friends at the arcade. She showered and got dressed in a simple light blue waist short sleeve romper with a white cardigan and matching blue flats.

"Miss Kiara, your father left you a gift." Tabatha announced holding a small box. "One of his associates gave him this, he instructed me to give it to you."

"Thank you Tabatha, I'll Thank Dad too when he gets home." Kiara said, opening the small box revealing a silver blue watch. "D-shock? Oh this must be the new watch that his associate mentioned having a silver one in the market in his trip in Europe."

"It looks nice." Tabatha said

"It is, I think Miho said something about waiting in line for a new watch at the department store, it might be this one." Kiara said, putting on the wristwatch it matched her outfit nicely. "I should be going now. I'm meeting My friends at the arcade."

"Isn't it early?" Tabatha replied

"Yes, I don't want to be late and inconvenience them." Kiara explained "I'll eat lunch with them. I'll be back before dinner!"

"Wow, so many people out on a sunday morning." Kiara muttered to herself seeing the streets bustling with people.

She turned a corner and saw a very long line, she noticed a very familiar spiky haired boy waiting in front.

"Yugi?" She said walking closer. 'It is him. Why is he waiting in line?' "Hey, Yugi!"

Yugi looked up and smiled brightly, he explained that he's doing a favor for Tristan who's doing a favor for Miho to get the new watch. She couldn't believe that Miho used Tristan. Then again he'd do anything for her, Kiara made a mental note to have a talk with her friend about this.

"All this for a watch?" Kiara asked Yugi nodded.

"It's a limited edition watch,not many people can get it. " Yugi said as the line kept moving.

The two stopped as the clerk held a small box. "You are lucky, this is the last one." He said

"Oh wow." Kiara said as Yugi nodded.

The clerk announced to the other people waiting in line that the watch was sold out, most of them were clearly disappointed.

"That was a close one." Yugi said, handing the clerk the money, just as Yugi was about to grab the box. A hand went to grab it, it wasn't Yugi's or the clerk's hand Kiara reacted fast and took the box before him.

"I'll take that." The man said to her.

"Excuse me?" Kiara replied, her eyes narrowed at him, he has very tanned skin, a nose piercing, he wore a purple beanie and dark round sunglasses, and an orange hoodie, dark jeans.

"You do not deserve this item." He said as he pulled his sleeve up revealing a row of colorful wrist watches on his arm. "These are Swiss color watches with special variations, only when these colors and designs are together are they a collection. In the whole world, there are only about a hundred each of these types." He showed them off with pride. "In Japan...no...in the world no other person has collected these rare watches!"

'So he's a collector.' Kiara concluded. She stared at her own watch. 'I guess this watch is a big deal?'

The collector stared at Kiara's watch as he grabbed her wrist pulling it so that he was inspecting it closely.

"Hey!" Kiara said

"This is...this is the rare silver D shock watch, only made in Europe!" He said "How did you get your hands on this?"

"Let go!" Kiara snapped stomping on his foot, he cursed out, glaring at her, he raised his hand at her.

Before he could do anything Tristan stepped in.

"That is no way to treat a girl." Tristan said "A man never raises his hand at her."

"What?" He was already angry at losing the chance at getting the watch. He heard the clerk calling the police as he left before the cops came.

Yugi let out a sigh of relief, while Tristan and Kiara let out a breath.

"That was close." Kiara said, rubbing her wrist.

"Yeah." Yugi said he glanced at her wrist. "Does it hurt?"

"I'm fine." She said, smiling at him.

A few minutes later Kiara and the gang gathered at the arcade, Miho smiled showing off her new watch.

"Hey, Isn't it great?" Miho exclaimed

"Yeah." Kiara said

"It's the first time I've seen a real one!" Joey said

"Tristan, you really helped Miho by standing in Miho's place." She said

'Oh Miho...you know Tristan will do anything for you.' Kiara let out a sigh. 'Please don't make this a regular thing.' Kiara pulled out her phone. 'He should be free right about now after all he did promise. '

Kaiba is silently putting away a few documents in his work office in his file cabinet, he glanced at the magazine cover right on his desk of Him and Kiara dancing last night, rumors already flying out about them. He ignored it. There is nothing going on between them, yet Whenever he is near her it gives him this sense of calmness, something he hasn't felt in a long time it helped him focus more something he can't explain.

He looks down at his phone on his desk vibrating, a sound of a text message he received.

'Hi, Seto..It's Kiara.'

Kaiba read it. 'Speak of the devil..' He thought, raising an eyebrow, He typed.

'Hey,what are you doing?'

He sent it and a minute later he saw the reply.

'At the arcade with my friends. I'll be heading over at Pac-man to beat your high score. ;) '

Kaiba chuckled as he typed.

'Good luck trying to beat it.'

His phone alerted him of another text.

'With that reply it motivates me even more now! Next time you'll have to show me that trick with the claw machine. I've been trying to win another bunny toy.'

Kaiba couldn't help but chuckle, even now she still loves those plush toys. The image of her smiling with that plush toy he won for her pop in his head, he made a mental note of it to buy one for her the next time they meet.

Mokuba glanced by the doorway, his brother at his chair . 'What is he up to?' He thought, he recognized that it was His older brother's personal cell phone. Mokuba had rarely seen Seto use his cell phone before, he only used his business phone. The last time he saw his older brother using his personal phone was when he gave Kiara his number. A light bulb shined on his head.

'He's talking to her!' Mokuba smiled. 'It's just like the doctor said!'

Kaiba received another text from her.

'Uh oh, Tristan is freaking out, And making a scene, Joey is trying to snap him out of it.'

'Those two idiots?' Kaiba felt a slight discomfort in his chest. His phone beeped at another text.

'Don't worry it's nothing serious to call for help, apparently Tristan lost Miho's new watch that she let him borrow and he's looking for it everywhere, if he can't find it Miho will hate him.'

Kaiba typed his reply.

'He can go get a new one, it's only a watch, it's not the end of the world.'

His phone beeped.

' He can't buy a new one. It's the new limited edition D shock wristwatch, it's sold out everywhere.'

Another text appeared with a picture of Kiara smiling near the claw machine showing off her watch. Kaiba had to admit that she looked cute especially when she's wearing his favorite shade of blue.

'Uh..Seto, i have to go Tristan is in trouble for moving a token machine, i'll text you later, Bye. '

'Bye.' He put his phone in his pocket, he closed his file cabinet leaving it locked, he looked down at his younger brother in the hallway.

"So...playstation?" Mokuba asked with a wide grin.

"Sure." Kaiba replied.

"After that, pool?" Moluba asked while walking beside his older brother.

Joey and Tea went to help defuse the situation with Tristan and the store manager. Kiara let out a sigh, she decided to take a look around herself to see if she found the missing watch. She retraced Tristan's step. He had it with him in the entrance, food court and the restroom, he said he already checked there. He put it in his pocket to wash his hands. How could a watch mysteriously disappear? Unless...someone stole it, but who would steal a wristwatch?

Her mind went to that incident at the watch shop that morning. "Maybe he took it when Tristan wasn't looking? " Kiara muttered. "If I find him I find the watch."

She searched for the collector until she caught a glimpse of him at the door, when she looked he was gone. She gasped feeling someone grab her arm slightly twisting it.

"You and I need to have a little talk about that watch you have." The guy said

"I suggest you leave her alone." The other Yugi appeared.

"It's you." Kiara said she freed herself from the man's grip.

The spirit of the puzzle gave a slight nod, he held out his hand to Kiara. "May I borrow your watch for a moment?"

Kiara blinked a few times. "Uh...Sure." She said taking off her wristwatch.

Meanwhile with the Kaiba brothers they are having lunch outside at the patio for a change.

"Seto, wouldn't it be nice if you had a girlfriend?" Mokuba spoke up.

"No." Kaiba immediately responded.

"Aw, come on." Mokuba said, "Think about it."

"No." He said

"I really think it would really benefit you for your own wellbeing." Mokuba spoke up. "It'll improve your mood and your lifestyle to have someone else share similar interests."

Kaiba blinked a few times, slightly surprised at his younger brother's new vocabulary. "That's it no more watching those psychology shows." Kaiba spoke up.

"Seriously Seto just think about it!" Mokuba said "What he said is really good advice! Today you're less cranky! And I know why!" Mokuba grinned.

"It's just your imagination." Kaiba brushed it off.

The young Kaiba grinned. 'You like her, I know you do.' Mokuba grinned.

Back with Kiara and friends….

Kiara stood there as the shadow game ended. The other Yugi took back the stolen watch, leaving the collector alone in his misery. Kiara followed the spirit of the puzzle.

"Thank you." He said returning her watch that he borrowed.

"No problem." Kiara said. "Um…"

"You can call me...Yami." He said

"Yami? Is that your name?" She asked

He shook his head. "No, you said you wanted to call me something else since I'm not Yugi." He explained, "I figured Yami would be acceptable."

"Oh...I do like the sound of it." Kiara replied ."It suits you, it's nice to meet you Yami." She smiled, holding out her hand. "You already know my name."

Yami gave her a small smile. He grasped her hand. "You.." He started then stopped making her tilt her head curiously at him. "Nothing."

"You found it!" Tristan said letting out a sigh of relief then cried happy tears. "Now Miho won't be mad at me anymore!"

"I can't believe it was under the stairs all along. " Téa said

"Yeah, all this searching made me hungry so why don't we go eat at that new sushi place? It'll be My treat." Kiara said smiling.

"Really?" Joey said "Awesome!"

The next day the gang got together during their lunch break at school. Miho forgave Tristan for losing her watch since they found it. They talked for awhile until Miho changed the topic of a particular item.

"Perfume?" Joey said

"Yeah, This Sunday, the emperor department store the mambo lady perfume is on sale! " Miho cheerfully said " Miho wants this!" She turned to Tristan, batting her eyelashes being extra flirty and cute."I'm sure it'll be a long line. "

Tristan raised his fist triumpfully. "Alright, Miho! Leave this to me! Tristan taylor is on the case!" He exclaimed

"Really? Oh Miho is so happy!" She said smiling.

Téa,Joey,Yugi and Kiara let out a sigh at the scene.

"I don't suppose they make medicine for stupidity." Joey said softly shaking his head.

"Just leave them in Their little world." Téa said

"As long as no one get hurt this time." Kiara said
