Jason walked to the Agni Kai Triad house and asked to see Halo.
He was led to a room where he saw a pregnant Halo sitting in a comfortable looking chair.
The men left them alone to talk in private.
"Why did you come here?" She asked. "It's been three months. Why come now?"
Jason told her what happened over the last three months, and that he was called on his first undercover mission for Beifong.
"So, you want me to babysit two orphans while carrying your child?" She asked a little tensely.
"No. I found someone to look after them. I came to tell you that I would be gone for a while."
"Why? You don't really care that much about me. I'm just the girl who raped you remember."
Jason wiped his face. "I know that I'm not a good person. I'm about to go and prove that I'm not, but after we talked that night three months ago... I don't know, but I felt differently. Maybe it's because I haven't had an actual relationship for very long, or maybe I was scared I would end up leaving the kid like my mom and dad left me, but after you left, I felt... I don't know. Empty."
"Wait. Are you saying that you want to be with me even after what I did?"
"Yes. Or at least I want to try and make it work."
Halo got up and hugged Jason. "We can be together after you come back."
Jason hugged her back. "I'll tell Beifong about a place you can stay if you need to."
"Thank you." Halo said kissing him.
Jason left after the kiss and headed to his house.
He stopped at his second Base and picked up some money before he got there.
When he got there, he found Korra, Azin, and Baani playing with Naga in the backyard.
Korra walked into the house when she saw him.
"Okay." Jason said putting some Yuan's on the counter. "This is for groceries and food. You guys can get takeout once a week, but you should try and eat homemade food for the rest of the time. Make sure that Azin and Baani get plenty of exercise both physically and with their Bending. Beifong will check in once a week to make sure they aren't killing you or something, and she might be bringing someone over here. If she does have Azin and Baani be nice. Make sure they get at least seven hours of sleep, although eight would be better. Any questions?"
"Yes. I haven't really had much experience cooking. Sooo."
"All right. Don't get super unhealthy food then." Jason said handing her a bag of money. "Try not to run out of this."
Korra looked in the bag and gasped. "How..."
"That's not important right now. I have to go. Thanks, bye."
Korra watched Jason leave. "Okay." She said confused.
Jason went to the Police Station putting his Helmet on before entering.
"I read their rap sheets. Zaheer is the leader and a Master Martial Artist. He knows multiple Martial Arts and can use them to rival any Elemental Bender. I'll probably save him for last."
"Why."
"The best way to break a leader is to break his men first."
"I'm beginning to think that you have issues."
"So many issues. Next is P'Li. She's a Fire Bender who can Combustion Bend. I think that I'll start with her."
"Why her?"
"She'll be the easiest to break. If she loves her Combination Bending so much, then she'll talk fast."
"You know where she is?"
"The North Pole. I'll have to sneak in and break her before they notice."
"Okay."
"Next will be Ming-Hua. She's being held in a Volcano to keep her from Water Bending."
"And how are you going to get her to talk? You know on second thought I don't want to know."
"Yeah. You probably don't. Plus, that way you have plausible deniability. Next is Ghazan. He will be the most difficult to track down because he's on a boat and everything, but I'll find him and break him. Then I'll move onto Zaheer."
"Okay. Then what?"
"Then I come back here and take a long ass vacation to try and forget how horrible of a person I am."
"You don't have to do this you know."
"Yes, I do. These people want to kill a girl I met just this morning and my siblings really like. I'm going to break them and rip the information out of them so they can't hurt anyone ever again."
"Remind me to never get on your bad side."
"Never get on my bad side."
"Smart ass."
"I've got an airship to catch, but if you run into Halo of the Agni Kai's can you take her to my house?"
"What? Why?"
"Can you just do it as a favor to me?"
"Fine."
"Thank you."
"You're welcome. Now get out of here."
Jason left the building and walked up the boarding ramp into the airship.
Four months later.
Jason walked down the airship ramp and into Beifong's office.
"Where you able to get anything?"
"Hey. How are you doing? It's been a while. Do you want a drink?"
"Hello Red hood."
"Hey chief. It's good to be back."
"Were you able to get anything?"
"Yeah."
"What were you able to get?"
"They want to end the Avatar cycle and plunge the world into chaos."
"Why?"
"Because disorder is the natural order."
"I'll debrief you now."
"Okay, but it gets pretty dark."
"I can handle it."
P'Li
Jason walked through the North Pole. He used his Fire Bending to keep himself warm.
The black flames against the storm he was using for cover gave off an ethereal glow.
He walked up behind the guards standing guard over the prison and knocked them out before walking into the prison.
He traveled into the darkest depths of the prison until he came to a single the cell.
"D-did you come to t-talk to me a-again?" A female voice asked.
"No. I came to get information, and you're going to give it to me."
"Heh, heh. G-good luck. They h-have tried t-to break me for the l-last thirteen years. W-what makes you th-think you can break me?"
Jason used Metal Bending to bend the helmet she was wearing inward causing it to cut into her forehead.
"AHH! What are you doing!"
"Tell me what I want to know, and I won't take your Combustion Bending."
"You wouldn't!"
Jason bent the helmet farther up. "Try me."
P'Li cried out in pain as the metal cut into her forehead.
"All right I'll talk!" P'Li yelled.
"Yes. Yes, you will."
"We are trying to return the world to its natural order."
"Why?"
"The world is chaotic. The Avatar is the bringer of Chaos."
"And you want to kill the Avatar why?"
"If we end the Avatar cycle then the world will go back to its natural order."
"Is that all?"
"Yes."
Jason used his Metal Bending to scalp P'Li.
P'Li was screaming in agony when Jason left with her scalp and Combustion Bending tattoo in hand.
He made his way out of the prison and went back to the airship.
"Red Hood." An officer tipped his head.
"Takko." Jason nodded.
"Did you get the information you needed?"
"Some of it."
"Where to next?"
"The fire nation. Ming-Hua is being held in a volcano."
"What will you need?"
"Bring me the box from storage."
"Very well."
Jason began humming a song.
Beifong shuddered. "Why the hell did you rip her scalp off!"
"I needed to know if there was anything else, she wasn't telling me."
"So, you scalped her and left her in agonizing pain!"
"Aww. Look at you, caring for the enemy."
"I'm not a sadist!"
"You wanted me to get the information by any means necessary. I did."
Beifong rubbed her forehead. "Continue."
Ming-Hua
Jason made his way into the Volcano knocking the guards out. "Sorry guys, but you can't see what I'm doing."
"Hello?" A feminine voice called out.
"I take it that you're Ming-Hua?"
"Who wants to know?"
"Someone interested in killing the Avatar."
"Then yes. I am Ming-Hua."
Jason walked up to a cage dangling over the magma.
"You're not who I expected." She spoke.
"Good." Jason said using his Blood Bending to hold Ming-Hua in the air.
"What... are you... doing?" She bit out in pain.
"Why do you want to kill the Avatar?"
"Why... do you?"
"Therein lies the problem. You thought I wanted to kill the Avatar."
"But..."
"You assumed I wanted to kill the Avatar, but I was really interested in others who wanted the Avatar dead."
"You... bastard!"
"I'll give you three chances to tell me why you want the Avatar dead. After the third chance..."
"Fuck you!"
"No thank you. Now. Why do you want to kill the Avatar?"
"Go to hell!"
Jason jumped onto the cage and opened it before dropping a box inside with a clatter of metal.
Ming-Hua glared at him.
Jason took a knife out of his boot and cut the seams of Ming-Hua's kimono letting the fabric fall to the floor.
Ming-Hua looked at him in confusion.
"Tell me why you want to kill the Avatar."
Ming-Hua spit at him, but he deflected it and pulled the nails out of the box letting a suit of armor float into the air.
"Tell me something." He said as he put the armor on her unprotected body. "Have you ever heard of the torture technique of welding someone into a suit of armor or a mask to their face? Any of that ring a bell?"
Ming-Hua shuddered as the cold metal touched her bare skin. "No."
"I see. Tell me why you want to kill the Avatar, or you will experience it firsthand."
She roared at him in rage.
Jason put the helmet on her head, grabbed the scraps of her kimono, climbed out of the cage, and jumped to the ground.
"Last chance to tell me why you want to kill the Avatar."
"If I do will you let me go?"
"Yes."
"We want to restore balance to the world."
"By killing the one keeping it in Balance?"
"No. The Avatar is keeping the world shrouded in chaos. The natural order is disorder."
"I see. So, you were going to kill a child to bring the world back to its natural order?"
"A small price to pay for salvation." Ming-Hua quoted.
Jason clenched his fists and heat began flowing in front of him distorting the air in front of him.
"What are you doing?" Ming-Hua asked. "You said that you would let me go!"
"You have my permission to die." Jason said before he sent the heat towards Ming-Hua.
She shrieked in agony as the metal of the suit heated quickly.
Jason walked out leaving her in her agony. The last thing he did before walking out was rip the chain holding her in the air and letting it drop into the magma below.
A guard woke as Ming-Hua's cell dropped with her agonized yells.
He ran to the edge and saw the cell hit the magma.
Ming-Hua's screams intensified for a few agonizing seconds before she fell silent.
"Holy shit!" The guard yelled. "Call Lord Zuko!"
Jason made his way to the airship.
"Red Hood." Takko said.
"Takko."
"Where to next?"
"We need to fly over the oceans to see if we can find the prison boat holding Ghazan."
"Okay. Will you be needing anything?"
"No. Ghazan is an Earth and a Lava Bender. I'll only need my Water Bending."
"All right."
Jason began humming.
"What's that song you're humming?" Takko asked.
Jason smiled under his helmet. "Let me teach you the words."
"I can't believe you did that!" Beifong yelled.
"Got you the information you wanted?"
"NO! I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT YOU TORTURED HER BEFORE DROPPING HER INTO A VOLCANO!"
"You told me that as long as I got you the information you didn't care how I did it, and I did! Now you are mad that I got you the information?"
"I didn't think you were going to resort to this level of torture!"
"THEY WANTED TO KIDNAP AND MURDER A CHILD! I DIDN'T THINK I HAD TO PROP UP SOME PILLOWS FOR THEM!"
Beifong wiped her face and glared at Jason. "First off. You will not take that tone with me, and second. I should have specified what I meant. I didn't think you were going to resort to that level of torture."
"Understood. Now. Do you want to know what I did to Ghazan?"
"I don't have much choice."
"If it helps Ghazan's death isn't as violent as the others."
"Very well."
Jason and Takko were singing 'Indestructible' by Disturbed when another officer came into the room.
"We found the boat." Viddas said.
"Good work Viddas." Jason said walking to the ramp.
The lamp lowered and Jason dove off the edge and towards the boat.
The guard on watch looked up into the sky. "Intruder!" He yelled.
The White Lotus guards began Water Bending up at the intruder falling from the sky towards them.
The intruder flipped midair and landed on the boat before rolling to his feet.
"Officers." The intruder said.
"Who are you?" A White Lotus member asked.
"Me? I'm the interrogation specialist you requested."
"I don't remember asking for an interrogation specialist."
"It was kept on the down low so that I could do my job in silence. The last thing you want is..."
"I think not!" A voice boomed from overhead.
Everyone looked up and saw...
"Fire Lord Zuko!" A White Lotus Guard yelled.
Jason looked up and saw a dragon. "Is that a dragon! I want a dragon! How do I get one?"
Fire Lord Zuko jumped down and landed on the deck of the ship. "Explain who you are and what you are doing here!" Fire Lord Zuko Demanded.
Jason handed him some paperwork. "I am an interrogation specialist. As for what I am doing here, well. I'd say that I'm doing my job."
Zuko read through the paperwork. "Follow me."
Jason followed Zuko to the front of the ship.
"Why did Lin send you?"
"She asked if I would work for her, and that she wanted me to try getting information from the four individuals who tried killing the Avatar."
"And you did this through cruel and inhumane methods."
"What is it with you high and mighty types thinking that you have to prop pillows up for monsters? They tried killing a child for fucks sake!"
"They what?"
"Yeah. Their plan was to find the Avatar when she was young, force her into the Avatar state, Whatever the hell that is, and kill her to effectively end the Avatar cycle."
"But that would..."
"Throw the world into Chaos? Yeah. Except they think that Chaos is the natural order."
"were you going to Interrogate the others?"
"Yes. To see if they have any more information, they can give me."
"I do not like needless torture."
"Believe me. If I could just ask them nicely and get the information I would, but I can't. It has to be this way, and after I'm done. I'm taking a long vacation."
Zuko looked at the armor-clad man. "What is your name?" He asked.
"Me? My name is Red Hood."
"It's nice to meet you Mr. Hood, but I was referring to your real name."
Jason looked at him in shock under the helmet.
"My name is Jason Todd."
"Very well Mr. Todd. I will stay and watch your interrogation."
"Fine." Jason said walking towards Ghazan.
"Get chewed out by the boss?" Ghazan asked.
"Something like that. I want some answers, and if you can give them to me willingly, I would appreciate it." He took out P'Li's scalp and Ming' Hua's Kimono.
"What have you done?" Ghazan asked in horror. "What did you do?"
"They made me dig for the answers. P'Li is still alive, but she won't be able to Combustion Bend again. Ming' Hua on the other hand."
"NO!"
"Which one was it?" Jason asked.
"Ming' Hua." Ghazan sobbed.
"Did you know that you were going to kill a child just to satisfy your own needs?"
"We were trying to put this world back on track. We were trying to save it."
"By killing a child!"
"The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few."
Jason glared at Ghazan. "Are you so deluded that you actually believe killing children is for the betterment of mankind?"
"What would you do to protect mankind from destruction?"
Jason Water Bent a water blade and cut Ghazan's head off sending a geyser of blood into the air. "That!" He snarled.
He picked up Ghazan's head and wrapped it in Ming' Hua's Kimono, and put it in his bag.
He turned to look at the White Lotus guards and Zuko. All of whom were stunned into silence by his brutality.
"I'll be heading to Zaheer's prison next." He said Before creating a staircase to the airship with water.
"Why are you doing this?" Lord Zuko asked.
Jason turned to look at Lord Zuko. "Because. The Avatar is my sibling's babysitter." He said before walking the rest of the way up.
Lin Beifong pinched the bridge of her nose. "I can't believe you did that in front of Fire Lord Zuko."
"What do you mean?"
"You killed a man in front of him! Then you told him this was because they tried killing your babysitter!"
"Yeah. I just said that."
Lin snorted. "What happened next?"
Jason, Takko, and Viddas were on the Bridge singing "Invincible" by Disturbed.

"That was great, guys." Jason said. "We need to get the entire crew to sing this song. While I'm talking to our next target make sure that you teach them the words. I want to sing this as we are walking down the ramp when we get home."
"Okay." Takko said.
When they arrived at the cliff side Jason walked to the edge of the ramp before he jumped off and used his grapple to get to the prison.
When he landed, he used earth bending to open the prison.
"Did you forget something?" A voice asked from inside the cave.
Jason tossed Ming' Hua's Kimono into the cave and Ghazan's head rolled out hitting the gate separating Zaheer.
"What did you do?!" Zaheer yelled.
"Tell me why you wanted to kill the Avatar?"
"Why did you kill them!"
Jason tossed P'Li's scalp at him.
"Noo!" Zaheer yelled.
"You might as well tell me." Jason said. "They already told me everything."
"When I get out of here..." Zaheer growled.
"But you won't." Jason said Blood Bending Zaheer into the air.
He used Earth Bending to open holes in the ground before lowering him into the ground before closing the ground around his legs.
He moved Zaheer's arms back and opened the wall before putting Zaheer's arms in the wall and closing it around him.
"There. That should hold you."
"What more can you do to me!" Zaheer snapped.
"This." Jason said using Metal Bending to take a piece of his armor, and mold it into the Bat Symbol that he wore on his chest.
He held the metal in his hand and Super-heated it with his black flames until it glowed white hot.
"With this brand I mark you as an enemy of the Avatar so that everyone will know what you've done."
He pressed the super-heated metal into Zaheer's chest ripping an agonized scream from the man's lungs.
He pulled the brand from Zaheer's chest showing the Cauterized wound.
Jason walked out of the prison and looked back. "One more thing." He spoke.
Zaheer looked up panting.
Jason crushed the floor and wall holding Zaheer, causing him to pass out when his arms and legs were crushed.
Jason closed the prison, leaving Zaheer until the guards came back.
"You... did... WHAT!" Beifong yelled.
"I got you your information."
"THROUGH TORTURE AND CRUELTY!"
"You did say by whatever means necessary."
"I thought you knew that torture was off the table after Fire Lord Zuko talked to you!"
"Um. What world do you live in where 'Any means necessary... but torture.' Is a thing?" THIS WORLD!"
"Maybe next time you should specify that."
"Apparently I need to specify all of your instructions!"
"Quick question."
"What!"
"What did you think of our performance coming down the ramp? I thought we were a little off, but I mean...""Get out!" Beifong whispered harshly.
"Okay. Whatever you do, don't call me for at least six months. I need time to come to terms with what I did."
Beifong realized that Jason really didn't do this because he wanted to. He did it because it was a necessary evil, and he would rather stain his soul then let someone else do it.
"Wait." She spoke. "There are a few things you need to know."
"Really? Like what?"
"First off Korra is on the Fire Ferrets Pro Bending Team. Second, there have been some issues with non-Benders. Now. Before I tell you the third thing you need to let me finish before you run off."
"What happened?"
"About a week after you left the Triads were attacked. Korra got caught up with them when the Triple-Threats were targeted, but the others were also targeted. Including the Agni Kai's."
"What!"
"Halo showed up and I sent her to your house. That's where she's been since."
Jason took off in the direction of his house.
"What the hell! Why am I running to her! Do I still care about her? What the hell!" He launched a grapple up to a building and flung himself into the sky.
He arrived at his house and ran in. "Hello!" He yelled.
A kid slid into the front room and looked up at him with his fists raised.
"Azin?" He asked.
"Jason?" Azin asked.
Jason took his helmet off. "Yeah. It's me."
"Baani!" Azin yelled. "Jason's home!"
A girl came barreling past Azin and into Jason. "Did you miss us!" Baani yelled.
"Yeah." Jason said. "I missed you guys."
"Good. Cause we missed you."
"Where's Korra?" He asked.
"She's over at the Airbender temple. She's practicing Air bending."
"Wait, wait, wait. She left you here alone?"
"No." Azin said. "Miss Halo is here with us."
"Where is she?"
"I'll show you." Baani said grabbing Jason's hand and taking him upstairs.
Baani took Jason to his room and opened the door.
Inside Jason saw a very pregnant Halo.
"Hello Jason." She spoke.
"Baani." Jason said. "You and Azin go to one of your rooms and stay there. Don't come out no matter what you hear."
"Um. Okay." Baani said.
"Slam your door so I know you guys are in there."
"Okay."
Jason and Halo looked at each other until they heard a door slam.
"Jason I..."
"Shut up!" Jason snarled.
"Wh-What?"
"Get up!"
She looked up at him startled.
"Did I stutter? Get up!"
"Okay. Okay." Halo said, struggling to getting up.
When she was up, she looked up at Jason. The compassion she had admired him from their first encounter was gone. In its place was darkness. "Jason. What happened to you?"
"This isn't about me; this is about you."
"What is it?"
"I spent the last four months being the monster that I keep locked away. I don't want to be that guy anymore. If you want thus to work, then you need to know that there will be day that I will be made. Really those days I will probably just ignore you until I am no longer mad at you."
"Okay." Halo said wiping away some tears.
Jason looked at her and held his arms out. "I'm sorry for what happened to your father."
Halo walked into Jason's embrace and sighed when she felt his strength and warmth.
Jason breathed in her scent. 'Am I crazy for doing this?'
Halo put a hand on his chest.
"I need to take care of Azin and Baani."
"I understand."
Jason walked down the hall to Azin's room and knocked on the door. "Azin? Baani? Are you in there?"
Azin opened the door.
"Is everything okay?" Baani asked.
"Yeah. I just needed to talk to Halo."
"That was kind of loud."
"Yeah. Get ready to go. We are going out."
"Okay." Baani said.
Azin looked at him. "There's a story behind that Conversation."
"Yeah. Make sure that you don't exhaust yourself in a fight or you might end up in my situation."
Azin looked at him. "Did you lose a bet with her?"
"I wish. I went to fight the Agni Kai Triad, but overestimated my skills, and she ended up convincing her father to let me live in exchange for a child."
Azin's eyes went wide. "That's why she's..."
"Yeah."
"Oh."
"Yeah. Go get ready."
The siblings left the house.
"Okay." Jason said. "Where do you guys want to go?"
"I want Takoyaki!" Baani yelled.
"What do you want Azin?"
"I want Katsudon."
"Okay. Let's go."
They walked around town and got Takoyaki for Baani, Katsudon for Azin, and Jason got Pork Raman.
They stopped to eat in a park.
"Will you tell us what you did while you were gone?" Baani asked.
"No." Jason said flatly.
"What! Why not?"
"Because. It wasn't very nice."
"Okay."
They were looking up at the sky cloud watching.
"That one looks like a platypus-bear." Baani said pointing at a Cloud
"That one looks like a turtle-duck." Azin said pointing at another cloud.
"That one looks like a car." Jason pointed at a third cloud.
"Do you mean a Sato mobile?" Azin asked. "Hectic so that looks nothing like a Sato mobile."
The laid in the grass for a few Minutes until Jason got up. "Let's go guys."
"Can we go see a Pro Bending match?" Baani asked.
"This weekend." Jason said.
"Do we have to wait that long?" She whined.
"unfortunately, yes. That's when the next game is."
"Okay."
"Want to get ice cream?" Jason asked.
"Yeah!"
They walked to an ice cream vendor.
"Okay. What do you want?"
"Strawberry swirl!" Baani yelled.
"Peanut butter hazelnut." Azin said.
"Triple chocolate." Jason said. "What do you guys think Halo will want?"
"Neapolitan. " Azin said.
Jason paid for the ice cream and wrapped Halo's ice cream in an icy mist.
"What should we get her for dinner?"
"She likes noodles." Azin said.
"Okay. From where?"
"There's a noodle stand next to the house."
"Okay. Lead the way."
They walked back to the house and were almost there when Korra came running up to them.
"Jason!" She yelled.
"Yes. Nice to see you too."
"When did you get back?"
"Earlier today."
"Oh. Okay."
"Are you blushing?" Jason asked.
Korra covered her face. "No."
"Korra likes you." Baani said.
Korra's face contorted in embarrassment. "What!"
"Hm." Jason thought.
Korra went beet red at his look.
"Sorry Korra." Jason said.
"Jason is already with Halo." Baani said.
It was Jason's turn for his face to contort in embarrassment.
"No, he's not." Azin said. "He just lost a bet with her."
'What the fuck!' Jason thought. 'I am a notorious Anti-Hero yet one year in this world changes that! What the fuck!'
He looked at Korra and saw her blushing. "You lost a bet to her?"
"No! I fought her, and technically lost because I passed out from over working myself, and when I woke up... that happened. She said that it was the only way to keep me alive."
Korra's blush deepened.
"Quit thinking like that!" Jason yelled.
"Thinking like what?" Baani asked.
"Nothing!" The other three yelled in unison.
"We should get back home." Jason said.
They walked to the noodle stand and walked home.
When they got home, Jason took Halo her food and ice cream.
"Halo." He said walking into the room. "We brought you food."
"Thank you." She said reaching for the food.
Jason handed her the noodles and put the ice cream next to her.
"Thank you." She spoke.
"You're welcome."
"I know that I don't really deserve it." Halo said. "But do you maybe want to..."
"No. At least not right now. It will take a while before we get to that level of a relationship."
"I understand."
"But we can start right now."
"I'd like the chance to start over. My name is Halo. I'm a member of the Agni Kai Triad. I am the daughter of Zirra the Leader of the Agni Kai. I am 21 years old. My favorite food is Pork Raman."
"Hello Halo. My name is Jason. I am an undercover cop. I'm not from Republic City. I'm 27 years old. and my favorite food from Republic City is Pork Raman."
Halo began eating her ice cream.
"Do you like Neapolitan ice cream?"
"Triple chocolate is my first choice, but Neapolitan is in my top five favorite flavors."
"Okay. I'll remember that next time."
"Thank you."
"You're welcome."
There was a knock on the door.
Jason got up and walked to the door.
He opened it and saw Korra standing in the hallway.
"Oh. Jason. Hi."
"Hello Korra."
"Could I talk with Halo?"
"Yeah." Jason said leaving the room.
"What can I do for you?" Halo asked.
"Um. I was dating someone, but now they are dating someone else, and I don't know what to do."
"Well. I'm not the best person to ask."
"Jason said that you two have a complicated relationship."
"That's putting it mildly."
"Well, what do I do?"
"As I see it, you have three options.
A) you can swoop in and take your ex's date right from under their nose.
B) you can start dating someone better than your ex in an attempt to make them Jealous.
Or C) you can just say fuck 'em and move on with your life."
"Hm." Korra thought." I've never thought of dating a girl before."
"So, you're going to steal your ex's girlfriend?"
"I don't know. What's Jason like?"
"Under the covers or as a fighter?"
Korra blushed at that. "Both I guess."
"Well. As a fighter he's on a whole other level. He has this Aura about him that sends shivers up his opponent's spines, except for me. It both terrified and aroused me making me wet."
Korra blushed bright red.
"The way he fights is... words can't describe how he fights. He fights with a ferocity and determination that I haven't seen before."
Korra didn't realize it, but her heart was racing.
"He also has this compassion and kindness that made his rough exterior seem all the more charming."
"When did..." Korra pointed at Halo's stomach.
"This?" Halo asked rubbing her hands over her stomach, feeling the child inside kick. "That night. My father came out of the house and told the others to kill him and string him up as a warning of what happens if you mess with the Agni Kai Triad, but I convinced him not to."
"How?"
"I told my father that if we gave him something to protect..." She nodded down to her stomach. "... then he would be on our side when we needed him."
"So, what did you do?"
"I had some of the men take him to one of our spare houses, stripped him naked, tied him to the bed, and had my way with him."
Korra blushed so red that she thought her nose was going to bleed.
"Was it not what you were expecting?"
"Not really."
"If I could do it over I would. I would explain the situation to him and try to get his consent first."
"Why?"
"The sex was amazing. I can only imagine what it would have been like if he was into it."
This made Korra's blush only deepen.
"Want me to show you something Korra?"
"What?"
"Come here."
Korra walked over to Halo.
"Come down here." Halo said.
Korra bent down to Halo's level.
Halo leaned into Korra and kissed her on the lips.
Korra was frozen in shock by what Halo did that she didn't move until she felt something brush against the roof of her mouth.
She pulled away from Halo only to see a string of saliva connecting them.
"Well?" Halo asked. "What did you think?"
"I think... Korra began. " I think I have to go." She spoke.
Halo smiled a smug smile. 'I love catching them off guard like that.' She thought.
Korra ran to her room in the house. What were these feelings racing inside her?
She ran into Jason on the way to her room.
"Whoa." Jason said. "Where's the fire?"
"I need to get to my room." Korra said trying to keep her voice calm.
"Okay. Did Halo say something that upset you?"
"Not really. I just need to take care of something." Korra said feeling like she was on fire.
"Okay." Jason said walking past her to Halo's room.
Korra ran into her room and jumped on her bed before covering her face with her pillow and worked herself to an orgasm.
Jason walked into Halo's room. "Care to explain why Korra just ran to her room?"
"She came to me for some dating advice, and I gave it to her."
"What would you know about dating?"
"I'll have you know that before you I had multiple lovers."
"Tying someone down while they are unconscious and fucking them does not make them a lover."
"Let's play the hypothetical game. Had I left you untied what would you have done?"
"Probably left."
"Then my father would have had you killed."
"There is that possibility."
"Let's say I asked for your consent that night. Would you have said yes?"
"Most likely not."
"Then my father would have had you killed. The only reason you are still alive is because of this child." She said rubbing her hands over her stomach. "Do you want to feel the baby kick?"
Jason looked at her. She had changed. Before she was acting shy, but now. Now she was acting more... aggressive maybe?
"What did you do to..."
They heard a muffled scream of pleasure coming from down the hall.
Jason turned to leave.
"I wouldn't go there if I were you. Otherwise, you might end up siring another child."
"What did you do?"
"I told you, I gave her some advice. I may have also aroused her a little."
"Seriously?"
"Yes. It seems that she was dating someone, but now they are dating someone else, and she wanted to know how to handle it. I told her to either steal the girl, date someone who would make her ex jealous, or to say fuck 'em and get on with life."
"Is that all?"
"I may have also kissed her when she said that she hadn't thought about dating a girl before."
Jason wiped his face. "Fuck you." He said walking out of the room.
"You already did." She called after him. "I have proof."
Azin and Baani were outside Korra's room when Jason walked up.
"Go back to your rooms." Jason told them. "I'll take care of Korra."
"Okay." Azin said taking Baani's hand.
Jason waited until they were gone before he went to his own room. That wasn't his place to say anything.
The next morning
Jason walked out back to go through a training Kata to train his Bending.
He saw Korra outside.
"Hey." He said startling her.
"Oh. Hey."
"I'm sorry about Halo."
"Oh. Its fine." She spoke.
"Want to talk about what happened while I was gone?"
"Well. After you left, I joined the Fire Ferrets. I took Azin and Baani with me to every practice and every game, so they weren't alone."
Jason nodded at her to continue.
"After a while I started hanging out with one of my teammates, but I sort of got pulled into this task force to help fight this leader of this group called Equalists. He has the ability to take a person's Bending away."
"How did you find this out?"
"My other teammate was taken away with the Triple-Threats Triad. Mako, the guy that I dated for a bit, chased after them and found their meeting place before saving his brother."
"Did you guys get hurt?"
"No, but this guy on the City council convinced me to join his task force, and we were doing Okay until I challenged the leader of the Equalists to a fight."
"What happened?"
"It was a trap. He didn't take my Bending away, but I was so scared."
"I'd call you an idiot if you weren't."
"That's when she came into the picture."
"Who's she?"
"Asami." Korra spat the name like it was something vile.
"So, what happened?"
"She came in and took Mako, and last game we almost lost because of it. She sponsored the Team, and now Mako loves her."
"So." Jason said. "Who gives a fuck what Mako does. He is just using you to satisfy some need. He'll probably do the same thing to Asami. You need someone who will give you the attention that you deserve without taking advantage of you or your emotions."
"Like whom?"
"I don't know, but I'm sure you will find them."
"Could that be you?"
"What?"
"Could you be that person?"
"I won't date a minor."
"I'm 19!"
"Oh. Well then... Why me?"
"Well." Korra said tapping her index fingers together. "When I first arrived in Republic City you were the first person who was nice to me."
"That's... not a good enough reason. I'm practically a stranger to you."
"I was pretty much isolated at the south pole for my entire life, and when I came here, I had no idea what to do. Then you showed up and made everything better almost instantly. I went to Air Temple Island and the first thing that Tenzin says is 'Go Home.' And you come to the rescue again. I mean sure you told me that I have to watch your siblings while you're gone, but I was willing to do that. You offered me a place in this hectic world, and it means the world to me."
Jason stayed quiet for several minutes before speaking again. "I think you deserve to know why I left."
"Okay. Why?"
"When you were young you almost got kidnapped."
"What?" Korra asked shocked.
"Yeah. They were going to kill you to end the Avatar cycle."
"What? Why?"
"They wanted to put the world back to where it belonged."
"By killing me!"
"Yeah. They said that the natural order is disorder, and the Avatar caused Chaos."
"What! No, I don't!"
"I know. I took care of them."
Korra put her hands on her head and fell to her knees.
Jason sat down next to her. "Korra. They can't hurt you anymore. You're okay."
"But they tried to kill me!"
"But they didn't."
"You wouldn't be this calm if you just found out you were almost kidnapped and killed!"
"You'd be surprised. I know more than you think."
"How would you know?"
"I was kidnapped, beaten within an inch of my life, blown to hell, crawled out of hell, trained for five years, took revenge, became an Anti-Hero, killed a man, got into a fight with my adoptive father, and ended up here. That's how I would know."
Korra looked shocked. "What?"
"You probably thought I was just another pair of blue eyes, didn't you?"
"Are you lying?"
"No. I am not lying."
Korra looked up at him.
They stayed like that for several minutes.
"Jason!" Baani yelled. "I'm hungry."
"Let's go in." Jason said. "I'll make breakfast."
They walked back inside the house and Jason began making breakfast.
He made pancakes, bacon, eggs, And toast.
"Oh wow." Korra said. "This is amazing."
Banni was looking at Korra. "Are you okay?" She asked.
" do you ask?"
"Last night you screamed. People only scream when they are hurt."
Korra blushed, and Jason coughed.
"Yes. I'm okay." Korra said.
"Why did you scream?"
Korra blushed brighter. "Um."
"Whoa!" Jason Exclaimed. "Look at the time. I have some errands to run, and Korra has to get over to Air Temple Island for Tenzin's training."
"Smooth." Azin said trying to hide a smile behind a coffee cup.
Saturday morning.
Korra came running into the house with two others behind her.
"Hi Korra." Baani said.
"Hey Baani. Is Jason here?"
"He's in the shower."
Korra found herself daydreaming about Jason walking out of the shower dripping wet before using his fire bending to dry off and caught herself blushing.
"Korra?" Baani asked. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah." Korra said, snapping out of the daydream.
"Have you guys been listening to the radio?"
"No. We were just outside practicing our Bending. We came in a while ago. Then I showered, Azin Showered, and then Jason got in the shower."
"How long has Jason been in the shower?"
"Maybe ten minutes."
"No." Jason said walking down the stairs in a pair of black slacks, a white unbuttoned dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up. "I took a five-minute shower and took five minutes to get dressed. What's up?"
"Have you heard the news?" Mako asked.
"No." Jason said looking at Mako with eyes that seemed to look into his very soul and find all of his secrets. "What news?"
"Amon just told the council to shut down the Bending arena or he will."
"Let's go talk to the council then." Jason said rolling his sleeves down, buttoning up his shirt and tucking it in, and bending his armor around him.
"Whoa!" A huskier guy next to Mako said. "So cool!"
"Let's go." Jason said. "Baani. Do you think you guys will be okay with Halo?"
"Yeah."
"Okay. I'll be back in a little while."
"Can you bring home food?"
"Yeah. What do you want to eat?"
"Takoyaki! Takoyaki!"
"Okay. Hey! Azin! What do you want to eat!?"
"Katsudon! " Azin yelled back.
"Okay! I'll be back in a while. Tell Halo that I'll bring her back some Pork Raman!"
"Okay!"
The group left the house and took off towards the council.
When they arrived at the council room, they barged in.
"What is the meaning of this!" A man with three ponytails demanded.
"Korra!" A man with a sky-blue arrow on his forehead said. "This is closed meeting..."
"No! I am asking you as both the Avatar and an athlete. Don't shut down the arena."
"Yeah!" Mako yelled. "The arena isn't just for Benders, but non-Benders too."
"I'm sorry." The man with Arrow said. "But it's too dangerous."
"No." Jason said. "You are falling into Azin's trap."
"No matter what we do we are trapped!" Ponytails said.
"Wrong!" The door opened up to show Lin walking in. "If you let the finals happen my officers and I will offer protection. The Chi Blockers can't get through our armor."
"What if they can produce electricity somehow?" Jason asked. "Metal conducts electricity like nobody's business."
"Impossible." Ponytails said. "There is no way that they could have that technology."
"Actually, they do!" Mako yelled. "They have this guy with Kali sticks that produce electricity.
Jason thought about a little blue bird with electric Escrima sticks.
"That's a risk we will take." Lin said. "We don't have anything that can stop electricity."
"I'll be there too." Jason said.
"I hardly see how you will make that big of a difference." Ponytails said.
"Trust me." Lin said. "If anyone will make a difference it will be Red Hood. If this fails, I'll resign."
"Very well." Ponytails said.
Jason walked out of the Council chambers and walked towards a food stand.
"I need Takoyaki, Katsudon, and two Pork Raman." He told the Vendor.
"Coming right up." The Vendor replied.
As he was waiting for his order Korra, Mako, and the other guy came up.
"Are you guys hungry?" He asked.
"I could eat." The other guy said.
"I'm sorry." Jason said. "What's your name?"
"Oh. I'm Bolin. This is my brother Mako."
"Okay Bolin. Order up guys."
"Aren't you going to ask my name?" Mako asked.
"No. I already know your name."
"What? How?"
"You look like the guy Korra described."
Korra blushed.
"Oh." Mako said feeling dread rise in his stomach.
"She said that you are a good fire Bender."
Mako and Korra let out a relieved breath.
They ordered and headed back to the house.
Korra, Mako, Bolin, Baani, and Azin sat down in the front room and ate while Jason took his and Halo's food up to Halo's room.
"Hello." Halo said when he walked in.
"Hey." He said Bending his helmet back.
"Are you still mad at me for messing with Korra?"
"Why did you do it?"
"I find Korra attractive. If I weren't pregnant, I would have tried taking it farther."
Jason didn't know what to say.
"Does my swinging both ways make you uncomfortable?"
"Not the way you think." Jason said crossing his right leg over his left.
"I see." Halo said winking at him. "Maybe You, Korra, and I could have some fun after the baby is born."
Jason coughed.
Halo laughed. "You're cute when you're flustered."
Jason ate a bite of noodles.
Halo took a bite. "So. Do you think we could have had a normal relationship if I would have explained what the situation was?"
Jason thought about that. "Maybe. Knowing that it was that or dying... I don't know. Technically you did it to save my life, but it was still against my will, and the last time someone knocked me out and I woke up tied up, I died."
Halo went pale. "I had no idea."
"That's why you don't do stupid shit like that."
"How are you still alive if you died?"
"A pool of mystic water brought me back angry and bitter until I found a better way."
They finished eating and Jason took their bowls downstairs.
"...nuh uh." Bolin was saying to Baani.
"Uh huh." Baani said. "Sand Bending is way more useful than Lava Bending. You can create a Sandstorm to hide and attack from the shadows."
"But if you can Lava Bend then you can stop a Sand Bender."
"A Sand Bender can blind you and bury you alive."
"But a Lava Bender can melt you."
"You're both wrong." Jason said. "Sand Benders and Lava Benders are sub type Benders of Earth Benders. They would work together."
Baani and Bolin looked at each other.
"Each Element has multiple types of Bending. Earth Bending has Earth Bending, Metal Bending, Sand Bending, and Lava Bending. Fire Bending has Fire Bending and Lightning Bending. Water Bending has Water Bending and Blood Bending. And Air Bending has Air bending."
"Blood Bending is illegal." Baani said.
"But it's still a Bending style."
"Are we going to watch the Pro Bending finals tonight?" Azin asked.
"I want you two to stay home with Halo tonight." Jason said. "You guys can listen to it on the radio, but because of Amon I don't want you guys getting hurt."
"Okay." Baani signed.
"Hey." Jason said dripping to a knee and putting his hand on her shoulder. "I know that you guys really wanted to go see the finals, and I would let you go if there wasn't a real threat."
"I know."
Jason looked over at Azin who nodded at him.
"Now." Jason said. "Who wants to play hide and seek."
"Me! Me! Me!" Baani yelled jumping up and down.
"Baani's it!" Azin yelled before running to hide.
Everyone scattered leaving Baani standing in the living room.
"Fine." Baani said. "One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Eight. Nine. Ten. Ready or not here I come."
That night.
Jason walked through the arena looking for anything that of place.
"Is everything in place?" A man asked.
"Yes." Another said.
"Good..."
"Excuse me gentlemen." Jason said walking up to them. "Do you have authorization to be back here?"
The men held up gloved hands that sparked electricity.
"I'll take that as a no." He said dropping into a fighting stance."
The first Chi Blocker reached for Jason , but Jason spun out of the way grabbing the Chi Blockers arm and twisting it to the breaking point before bending it to zap the Chi Blocker.
The Chi Blocker fell to the ground, unconscious.
"What did you do!" The second Chi Blocker yelled.
"I took your partner out without Bending. Is that such a foreign concept to you that it blew your microscopic brain?"
"I'll make you pay!" The second Chi Blocker yelled running at him.
Jason wrapped his grapple around the Chi Blockers neck and broke it with a satisfying crunch.
Jason spun around and caught a Kali stick with his hand.
"You're good." The lieutenant said before activating the electricity in the Kali Stick. "But not good enough."
"AAAHHHH!" Jason yelled as Electricity coursed through his body before falling to the ground.
"That should keep you out of our way for a while." The lieutenant said before walking off.
Once Jason was sure that the lieutenant was gone, he stood up. "I'm really glad I decided to Coat the inside of my armor in rubber." He spoke.
Jason ran to the seating area in time to see the Wolf Bags cheat their way to victory.
"Ooh." The announcer said. "It's a controversial knockout, but the ref is allowing it!"
"Fuck you ref!" Jason yelled.
He noticed the Atmosphere in the arena change and turned to see a non-Bender reaching towards him with a glove.
He kicked out at the non-Bender breaking their kneecap, hip, three of their ribs, elbow, and neck. "Who's next!" He yelled turning around to see Lin and Tenzin fall.
He used his grapple to wrap around the one who'd shocked Tenzin and break their neck before shooting with the other one to stab through the left side of their chest.
"I'll take you on! I'll take you all on!"
"That won't be necessary." A powerful voice said from the platform.
Jason turned around to see a man wearing a mask on the platform with the Wolf Bats unconscious. "Who the fuck are you?"
"My name is Amon. I am the leader of the Equalists. My goal is to make everyone, Benders and non-Benders, alike equal."
"Leaving yourself the only Bender in the world?" I'm not a Bender."
"Bullshit! Your type is always like that! You tell everyone that you want to make the world a better place, but really you just want to be the only one who's special!"
"I am not a Bender. I am here to Equalize the world. No Benders. No non-Benders. Just normal people. No hatred or segregation. Is that too much to ask for?"
"The world you want doesn't exist. You will always have people who think they are better than others! You will always have those who want to kill and enslave others! You can't control that! That's like trying to stop crime! You can't stop Crime, but you can control it!"
"We share similar ideals. I wish to meet you on the battlefield."
Jason jumped over to the arena. "Fine. I suppose I should thank you for taking care of the Wolf Bats. Saves me the trouble of tracking them down later."
Amon made a hand signal, and his Chi Blockers threw the Wolf Bats into the water below.
Jason stepped into a fighting stance.
Amon stood there confident in his abilities.
The two ran at each other.
Amon threw a punch that was blocked by Jason's punch.
The two threw punches at each other before Jason swiped at Amon's leg.
Amon jumped over Jason's leg before spinning vertically and kicking at Jason.
Jason rolled out of the way and to his feet before spin kicking at Amon.
"I must say that I am impressed with your skill." Amon complimented.
"As much as I hate to admit it, so are you. Though I will stop you."
"Why are you so determined to stop us?"
"You attacked Korra. I take anyone attacking my friends very personally. You're just lucky you didn't hurt her. Because if you did. I would rip your heart out and crush it."
"You are fiercely loyal to your friends and family."
"Damn straight."
"This has been fun, but it's time for me to leave." Amon said grabbing a rope and rising to the shattered dome.
"No, you don't!" Jason yelled flinging his grapple at Amon.
A rod came flying through the air, and fouled Jason's grapple.
Jason swung the grapple around and tied it around the closest Chi Blocker and impaled the rod into his chest before flinging the Chi Blocker into the water.
Chi Blockers surrounded Jason and began throwing punches and grabbing his armor to shock him.
"That's enough!" He yelled disintegrating his armor into metal dust and sending it at the Chi Blockers.
He punched and kicked into the metal dust and knocked some of the Chi Blockers unconscious while killing others.
When the Chi Blockers were taken care of, he reformed his armor, and looked up in time to see Korra falling.
He used Water Bending to pull water into a ball and catch Korra before letting her out on the floor.
"Thank you." Korra coughed.
"Don't mention it."
Lin landed next to them and looked around.
"I don't have an excuse for killing them." Jason said. "At least not a good one."
"Get out of here." Lin said. "I'll talk to you tomorrow."
Jason used his grapple to get to the roof and made his way home.
"You can't punish him..." Korra began.
"Did I say I was going to punch him?" Lin interrupted. "No. I told him I would talk to him tomorrow. Right now, I have to clean up this mess."
"Do you want any help?"
"No. This is a police matter. We will take care of it. You better get home too."
Korra walked to the locker room and changed.
As she was walking out, she saw Asami and Mako talking.
She scoffed and walked home.
When she walked into the house, she saw Jason drinking alcohol straight from the bottle.
"Jason?" She asked hesitantly. "Are you..."
"No." Jason said darkly. "No, I am not all right. I get in trouble for not following the rules! I get in trouble for following the rules! What the fuck am I supposed to do!"
Korra walked over and took the bottle from Jason. I think you need to get some sleep.
"Maybe you're right." Jason said getting up and walking upstairs.
Korra grabbed him and helped him up to his room.
He walked go the end of the hall and opened the door to his room.
Korra was shocked. Jason had a sleeping bag on the floor with a few outfits on the windows.
"You sleep here?" she asked.
"Not like I need much." Jason slurred. "Besides. I've slept on the streets before. After that I can survive anything... even death."
"Nope." Korra said walking him out of the room. "You're not sleeping on the floor tonight. Why didn't you buy a bedroom set for yourself?"
"I did, but Halo is using it."
"Why didn't you buy one after you got back?"
"The important people had one."
Korra was shocked. Did Jason really have such a low opinion of himself?
"You're important."
"No, I'm not. I'm just the fuck up that Bruce found on the street. He even told me I was a disgrace to the Bat. I try and play by his rules, but his rules got my dad killed in the first place."
Korra put Jason on her bed.
"My dad only wanted to make a better life for my mom and I, but Bruce's rules got him sent to prison, and then the letters just stopped coming. Maybe he died in that prison."
Korra was horrified by that.
'Oh Jason.' She thought sadly.
Over in the next room Halo had heard everything that Jason had said. A single tear fell from her eye.
Azin had woken up when he'd heard someone stumbling across the hallway and heard everything Jason had said. 'What the fuck!' He thought.
AN: Before you guys freak out that I destroyed season three, don't worry. As for Jason leaving and coming back really aggressive, he just spent four months as the darkest part of himself.
