Jason woke to a light breeze brushing against his cheek. He opened his eyes only to close them again. It felt like someone had shined a laser pointer into his eye at point blank.

He groaned and sat up feeling cloth on his arms. He shook his arms, but nothing happened. The cloth stayed where it was. He forced his eyes open, forcing him to look at his arms.

They were wrapped up and he could feel them sticking to his skin. He looked around and saw that he was in Korra's room. He looked down and saw that Korra was sleeping in the bed with him. 'I'm going to castrate Montgomery with a rusty carving knife.' He thought.

He swung his legs over the bed and stood up. He dropped to one knee and winced at the pain. 'What the hell?' He thought. He forced himself to stand, but the effort took a lot out of him.

"Sit your ass down." Lara said opening the door.

"Why?" He rasped.

"You need rest. You couldn't be alone, so Korra stayed with you. It wasn't ideal, but it worked out. Now sit the fuck down before I have to restrain you myself."

Jason wanted to protest out of sheer stubbornness, but he fell on the bed, his head hitting Korra's stomach waking her up.

Korra jolted up when she felt something land on her stomach. She looked around and saw Lara standing at her bedside glaring down at it. She looked down and saw Jason. He was awake, but he looked like he'd been run through the ringer a few times. "Are you okay Jason?" She asked.

"No." Lara said. "He burnt his arms, damaged his throat and lungs, and that's only the physical stuff! He burnt through his oxygen with a stupid stunt like that, and he might have fucking brain damage! He's lucky he's even alive! What in the fuck possessed you to drink 100 proof alcohol!"

"I needed to get my fire as hot as it could go." Jason wheezed. "I needed to be able to melt Platinum."

"No, you dumb fuck! You need to live! You have a family who's worried about you! You have a newborn daughter for Rao's sake! What the hell were you thinking! The answer... you weren't!"

"Lara!" He snapped as best he could.

"What!" She yelled.

Jason used Water Bending to pull the water in the air to him and pull it inside his mouth. His mouth, throat, and chest glowed before he cleared his throat. "Thank you for worrying about me Lara." He said in a clearer, less lined voice. "But I have things to do."

"You're Not going anywhere until you're fully healed!"

"I'm sorry." Jason said. "I won't overwork myself. Come on Korra." He spoke.

"Me?" Korra asked.

"Not unless there's someone else named Korra."

Korra followed Jason out to the back yard.

"Okay." Jason said. "You rely on your Bending too much. I'm going to teach you how to fight so you can fight the Equalists."

"But, I'm a Bender."

"And what if they Chi Block you? Or Diana forbid, what if Amon takes your Bending?"

"NO!" Korra yelled grabbing her head, and shook.

"You still suffer from nightmares, don't you?"

Korra could only nod.

"Then let me help you fight those nightmares. Let me teach you how to fight without your Bending."

Korra looked at him. "Is there a fighting style I can learn quickly?"

"Yes. It's called Krav Maga. It's using everything to your advantage. You stomp on toes, kick shins, break knees, kicks to the balls, stomach punches, rib punches, punching them in the solar plexus, punching them in the throat, the nose, gouging their eyes out, slapping and punching them in the ears, pulling their hair. It's essentially fighting smart or dirty. You are using every one of their disadvantages as an advantage for yourself."

"Isn't that a bad thing."

"Sit." He said before sitting down himself. Korra sat down, and he began talking. "Korra. Do you know how I learned how to bend?"

"No."

"I meditated. A lot. I would do the normal meditation of sitting and emptying my mind, but I also did a lot of battle meditation."

"Battle Meditation?"

"Yes. Battle Meditation is sparing or using Kata's to meditate to. I used Kata's to meditate to because I was alone."

"Okay, but what does this have to do with fighting fair?"

"Nothing. I changed the subject. Now get up. I think you'll meditate best through battle meditation."

"Why?"

"I'm going to teach you Krav Maga."

"Okay." Korra said as she got up. "What do I do first?"

"Find your center!" Jason yelled before he kicked Korra's legs out from under her and vaulted up.

Korra fell down and landed on her arms before pushing herself up.

"Nice reflexes." Jason said. "Now. Come at me."

"No!" Jason yelled back flipping over the flames. "Without your fire!"

"I don't know how to!"

"Wrong! You don't want to! You feel like you're nothing without your Bending!"

"Shut up!" Korra yelled punching at Jason.

Jason caught her fist and spun her around before kicking her away. "Good. Did you feel that? That was pure instinct. You didn't use Bending you used raw, primal instinct. Now. Let's continue."

Korra landed on her back and rolled up before vaulting up and landing on her feet. She was breathing hard and was bruised all over. Jason was a hard teacher.

Jason ran at her and jumped into the air before flipping and bringing his foot down on her. "Are you even trying?" He asked.

"Yes! Are you?!"

"No. I don't need to yet."

"What!"

"Calm down before you have an aneurism." Jason chided. "I've been doing this for about as long as you've been alive."

"Wait? Really?"

"Yes. I lived on the streets from the age of six to nine. Back then I was like a feral polar bear dog. It wasn't until I was 12 that I received formal training."

"You were stuck on the streets?"

"Yeah. It's not something I like talking about. I'm trying to get you to understand something though."

"But how do I determine who Korra is and what the Avatar is?"

"Come here." Jason said.

Korra walked over to him.

Korra went through the motions of Water Bending.

"You are Korra of the Southern Water Tribe. You might be the Avatar, but don't forget, that at your core. You are Korra of the Southern Water Tribe."

Korra felt her heart skip a beat. "I am Korra of the Southern Water Tribe." She repeated.

"Yes. Everything else is the Avatar. Now come on."

"What?" Korra asked. "Where are we going?"

"You need to relax and be a young adult doing questionable things from time to time. So, let's gather all the other adults and make questionable life choices that might have possible repercussions later down the road."

They ran into the house and gathered Halo, Selene, Azin, Baani, and Lara before they headed for the pier. Jason looked over at two boats on the shore and jumped into one. "Race Ya to air temple Island." Jason said as he dropped a stack of Yuans on the beach with a note saying: Sorry for the inconvenience.

Azin and Baani jumped in after him, and he pushed off with Water Bending.

Korra jumped into the second boat followed by Lara and Halo who was holding Selene. Korra pushed off and used Water Bending to push herself towards air temple island.

The two Benders were putting their all into the race before Lara had a thought. "How are we going to stop?" She asked Korra.

Korra froze before she looked at Jason who seemed completely calm. "Do whatever Jason does I guess?" She suggested.

"Considering he burnt his arms to hell and back. That doesn't inspire confidence."

"I'm sure it will be fine."

The water began to frost over, and they began to slow. Korra had to work her arm muscles to get anywhere, but she soon realized why. They had arrived at Air Temple Island, and the water went back to usual.

"How did you do that?" Korra asked. "I've never known anyone who could do that?"

"Really? I just pulled the heat from the water, and super cooled the water vapor in the air making a slurry to slow the boats. Am I not supposed to be able to do that?"

"No! And on top of that! You stood on the water in Asami's pool the other day! How!"

"I just used water to make a solid surface so I could stand on it. I figured that so long as can Water Bend, I can use it to break physics, and I did."

"HOW!" Lara demanded.

"I just used Water Bending to push the water up against my feet."

"How did you not fall?"

"Do you know how much balance it takes to run and across roofs and ledges?"

Jason jumped at Montgomery to axe kick him into the ground, but Montgomery rolled out of the way and punched him in the arm hard enough to send him flying.

"What the shit!" Halo and Lara yelled. "Is the bastard dead!?"

"Good."

Korra looked at Jason with pity filled eyes.

"I don't need pity." He spoke. "Let's go." He said waving them towards the house.

They ran inside and found Mako, Bolin, and Asami.

"Come on guys." Jason said.

"Where are we going?" Bolin asked.

"Azin, Baani. Go find Ikki, Jinnora, and Meelo."

"What! No fair!" Baani yelled.

" Now." Jason said. "We are playing games that aren't age appropriate for you."

"What are we playing?" Lara asked.

"Truth or Dare, strip poker, never have I ever, and spin the bottle."

"Sounds... fun." Mako said.

"Let me tell you." Jason said. "Korra needs to learn to have fun that isn't Bending related."

"Well, that means that sex is out." Montgomery said. "There's a shit ton of bending involved in sex."

"I swear to Diana..." Jason said. "If you don't shut up with your sex talk, I'm going to have Halo burn your dick off."

"Okay." Jason said as he walked through the house to find a room that wasn't being used.

Asami led them through the temple until they came to a sparsely furnished room. "Welcome to the farthest thing from my father." She spoke.

They moved the furniture out of the way and sat in a circle.

"Fine. Mako. Truth or Dare."

"Jason. Truth or Dare?"

Tenzin left the room. Leaving them alone.

Montgomery looked at them. "Well, that was awkward."
