Chapter Twenty-Five
Hermione looked at Ginny in shock. It was only then that she saw the gleam of amusement in Ginny's eyes. "You knew!?" Hermione almost shrieked, making Ginny laugh. "Why did you make me say it, if you already knew?" Hermione asked annoyed.
"It was punishment for not telling me about it yourself. Imagine how annoyed I was hearing it from Harry, and then having to wait for you to say something." Ginny crossed her arms and gave Hermione a pointed look.
Hermione huffed, "there was nothing to say. I met Lucius Malfoy by accident, and he was actually nice."
"What do you mean there was nothing to say? Are you telling me that you haven't met with him since then?" Ginny challenged.
"Well, no." Hermione admitted begrudgingly.
"Then there was something to tell me about. You never willing meet with people unless its for work."
"Fine, I think Lucius and I are becoming friends. Happy?"
Ginny smiled. "Yes actually, I am."
Hermione sighed and looked at Ron. His expression was a mixture of amusement and confusion. "Are you okay, Ron?"
Ron shook his head as though he was clearing it. "I don't understand why you would want to be friends with him. But if it makes you happy, I'm happy for you. Just don't expect me to be friends with him."
Hermione smiled. "Thank you, Ron. And don't worry, I wouldn't ask that of you."
