Part 2

Disclaimer: Since I just know you all wanted more.

Summary: Laurel finally finds a way back to Earth.

Luck had finally been on Laurel's side when it came to her goal of getting back to Earth. Albeit, it had been in part thanks to her running into McKenna Hall on a Space Station who is now apparently a Green Lantern. The fact there's someone who looks like her back on Earth wasn't something Laurel liked and wondered if that was something Darhk had done just to mess with those she loves. But thanks to McKenna and her Power Ring, she now had a map to help get her back to Earth. Unfortunately, the downside would be that it'd take a year's worth of traveling to get back since McKenna's duties kept her from helping out with a quicker way back to home. Thankfully, the crew she'd been with for some time had chosen to support her and personally take her back to Earth themselves since she'd been such a valued member of the crew. Earning every one of them a hug in the process from the grateful woman afterwards. Now since none of them had been in the direction of the Universe where Earth is, they were essentially going in blind but reasoned they stood to make some profit from the information they were no doubt going to collect on the journey to Earth.

Information that those like Cartographers for example would pay a great deal for. And when Laurel finally saw Earth for the first time in a long time, she couldn't help but cry at the sight of it as she had finally made it home. Though that's not to say it was smooth sailing as they'd nearly been shot down and caused a world wide panic since many thought they were about to get invaded again. It hadn't helped that no one wanted to trust what she was claiming where her being the real Laurel Lance is concerned considering the woman who was running around with her face. At least until Black Siren made the claim that she'd been paid by Damien Darhk to get Plastic Surgery to look like Laurel Lance as one last way to screw with everyone Laurel loves and Siren had only done this as she'd been tired of living a life that wasn't truly her's and wanted to return to her Earth. Something she'd do in quick order after making her claim and it'd also take the equipment of the Waverider and as well as Breacher II, aka Cynthia, who had chosen to take her father's Codename, of Earth-19 to confirm that Laurel was truly who she says she is. Making for quite a few happy individuals in the process, Laurel most of all as she was relieved everyone finally believed her.

Though with all the changes over the years, it was going to take Laurel some considerable time to re-adjust to everything and would miss her crew a great deal once they decided to head back to what was considered 'Known Space' but had promised to visit when they could. However, the hardest thing for Laurel to adjust too after getting everything cleared up was dealing with the knowledge that her father was dead. And seeing his Headstone had only made that knowledge that much harder as it was the final confirmation that he was no longer in the World. "Oh, daddy… I wish I had been here." Murmured the woman tearfully as she sat in front of his Grave with Sara and Oliver a respectful distance away.

As perhaps had she been, maybe she could've kept him from dying…
