Disclaimer: I Don't own Doctor Who that goes to the BBC
The Flesh Doctor and Rose both screamed and twisted as they absorbed all the Doctor and Rose's memories and channeled their past incarnations.
"What's happening?" The Doctor asked his gangar as he approached him, while Rose approached her gangar.
"I wonder if we'll get back," the gangar version of the Doctor said, repeating what he told his and Rose's granddaughter when he left her in London 2167 as he placed his hand over his left cheek near his left ear, "Yes, one day... Aaagh!"
"I have always loved you, Susan!" The ganger version of Rose said in her first incarnation's voice and South English accent, "Never forget that."
"Who's Susan?" Amy and Jack asked at the same time.
"Our granddaughter," Rose answered, "That's her human name while she was actually named after me in Gallifreyan and I thought of her more like my own daughter than my granddaughter."
"I've reversed the polarity of the neutron flow," the ganger version of the Doctor said in his third body and incarnation's persona as he convulsed backwards in pain.
"The Flesh is struggling to cope with our and Rose's past regenerations," the Doctor explained, "Hold on!"
"Would you like a jelly-baby?" The ganger version of the Doctor asked as he lurched forward and extended his hand out as he spoke in his fourth incarnation's deep voice before it returned to his regular voice, "Why? Why? Why!?"
"Why? Why what?" Both Gallifreyans asked their ganger counterparts.
"You can't," Rose's ganger said as she spoke in her second incarnation's cockney accent as her mind went back to when she said goodbye to her stepmother after the battle of Canary Wharf, "Oh, I've got the Doctor and the TARDIS. Same old life, last of the Time Lords and Time Ladies."
"Hello. I'm the Doctor," the Doctor's ganger said in his 11th incarnation's voice as he stood up like him as his mind went to when he introduced himself to the servant of Madame De Pompadour's mother after she snogged him in front of Rose before switching back to his regular voice, "No, let it go, we've moved on!"
"Hold on, hold on, you both can stabilise!" The Doctor reassured both gangers as Amy started to walk towards the Doctor and Rose but Jack pulled her back.
"I have always loved you, Susan," Rose's ganger said in her current incarnation's voice as she began to say a mixture of what her first and second incarnation's voices said, "Oh, I've got the Doctor and the TARDIS. Same old life, last of the Time Lords and Time Ladies."
"I've reversed the jelly-baby of the neutron flow. Would you like a…" the Doctor's ganger said as he gripped the original Doctor's jacket, "Doctor...Doctor... I'm... I'm the... I can't."
"Rose...Rose… help me please," Rose's ganger pleaded with her Gallifreyan counterpart as she grabbed her by the arms.
"No, listen, hold on. Hold on!" The Doctor told him.
"The Doctor's right, you can stabilise, Rose," Rose told her ganger.
"No-o-o-o!" Both gangers yelled as they shoved their Gallifreyan counterparts away as they turned back into their half-formed state as they screamed, "Aaaagh!"
The Ganger versions of the Doctor and Rose both gripped their heads as the others barricaded the door as they heard Gangers banging on the door to the room.
"I think I liked it best when they were being noisy," Buzzer said as the gangers stopped banging on the door as Amy walked over to the Doctor and Rose.
"Doctor, we need you and Rose," Amy told them "You both should get over here."
"Hello!" Both Gangers said, greeting their Gallifreyan counterparts.
"Doctor! Rose!" Amy called out to the Doctor and Rose.
"Cybermats," The Doctor told his ganger counterpart.
"Arkytior," Rose said to her ganger at the same time.
"Do we have time for this?" Both Gangers asked at the same time.
"We make time. I'd like more proof that you're me," The Doctor told his ganger, "Cybermats?"
"Created by the Cybermen," The ganger version of the Doctor added, "They kill by feeding off brainwaves."
"I'd like to know how much of me you are as well, Rose," Rose told her ganger, "What's our name when we lived on Gallifrey?"
"Our name was Lady Arkytior of the House of Lungbarrow of the Prydonian Chapter," Rose's ganger answered.
"Excellent," Rose said, "And our age?"
"We're currently 909," Rose's ganger answered.
"Are you sure there aren't any big guns with bits on?" Jack asked as Amy ran back over to them.
"Yeah, big guns would be good right now," Buzzer answered.
"Why would we have guns?" Jimmy asked the ex-Time Agent with disbelief in his voice as he leaned against the door with cleaves, "We're a factory. We mine."
"Acid," Amy muttered as they heard a hissing sound coming through the door as the Gangers on the other side of the door began to pound on it again as the two Doctors and Roses stood side-by-side.
"Rory and Amy may not trust the four of us," the ganger version of the Doctor told his and Rose's Gallifreyan counterpart.
"And I'm not sure about Jack," Rose's ganger counterpart added.
"Are the three of you thinking what I'm thinking?" The Doctor asked Rose and their gangers.
"I think I am," Rose answered.
"Me too," Rose's ganger added, agreeing with her Gallifreyan counterpart.
"Inevitably," the Doctor's ganger told his Gallifreyan counterpart.
"I'm glad we're on the same…" the Doctor started to say.
"Wavelength," the ganger version of the Doctor finished for him, "You see, great minds."
"Exactly. So, what's the plan?" The Doctor asked.
"You don't have a plan like always," Rose muttered.
"Yeah, he never has a plan," Rose's ganger said, agreeing with her.
"Oi!" Both Doctors said as they were offended by what they said.
"What? It's the truth," both Roses explained at the same time.
"Anyway, save them all, humans and gangers," the Doctor's ganger said as they ignored the explanation that both Roses gave them.
"Sounds wonderful," the Doctor told him.
"Is that what you were thinking?" The Doctor's ganger asked his Gallifreyan counterpart.
"It's just so inspiring to hear me say it," the Doctor told him.
"I know!" The Doctor's ganger told his Gallifreyan counterpart.
"Doctor, Rose come on!" Amy urged them.
"So, what now, Doctor?" The Doctor's ganger asked his Gallifreyan counterpart.
"Yeah, what do we do, Rose?" Rose's ganger asked her Gallifreyan counterpart.
"Well, time to get cracking, Doctor," the Doctor answered his ganger.
"What he said," Rose told her ganger.
"Hello! Sorry…" both Gallifreyans and their gangers said at the same time as they approached the others.
"But we had to establish a few…" the Doctor's ganger began to say.
"Ground rules," the Doctor finished for him.
Amy and Jack both then noticed that the Doctor was wearing black shoes while his ganger was wearing brown shoes as Rose was wearing her red converse shoes while her ganger was wearing converse shoes but the colors were reversed as they were white and red instead of red and white.
"Formulate a…" the Doctor's ganger began to say.
"Protocol," the Doctor finished for him.
"Protocol. Very posh," the Doctor's ganger commented.
A protocol between us. Otherwise…" the Doctor began to say.
"It gets horribly embarrassing," the Doctor's ganger finished for him.
"And potentially confusing," the Doctor added.
"It would definitely be confusing," Rose said, agreeing with him.
"I'm glad you've solved the problem of confusing," Amy told them, sarcastically.
"That's sarcasm," the Doctor's ganger noted.
"She's very good at sarcasm," the Doctor told him.
"Yeah, she is really good at being sarcastic," Rose said, agreeing with him.
"Breathe!" Both Doctors told Amy as they turned to her.
"What?" Amy asked them with confusion.
"We have to get you off this island," the Doctor's ganger told them.
"And the gangers too," the Doctor added.
"Sorry, would you like a memo from the last meeting? They're trying to kill us!" Cleaves reminded them.
"They're scared," Rose explained.
"Doctor, we're trapped in here," Amy told the Doctor.
"I don't think so," the Doctor told her, "The Flesh Bowl is fed by cabling from above."
"But where are the earthing conduits?" The Doctor's ganger asked.
"All this piping must go down into a tunnel or a shaft or something, yes? With us?" The Doctor said before removing a paneling and found a grate, "Yowza! An escape route." Amy, both Roses and Jack then mouthed the word 'Yowza' questioningly as they looked at him, "You know, I'm starting to get a sense of just how impressive it is to hang out with me."
"Do we tend to say 'yowza'?" The Doctor's ganger asked his Gallifreyan counterpart.
"That's enough, let it go, OK? We're under stress," the Doctor told him when the gangers suddenly broke their way into the room and found it empty as all humans, Gallifreyans and both the Doctor and Rose's Gangers had escaped the room through the escape route from the grate as the ganger version of Cleaves heard the sound of a sonic screwdriver and saw the Doctor and her original on the other side of the grate and hissed as they got away.
In one of the tunnels, both Roses, Jack, Amy and the Doctors were with the original Buzzer, Cleaves and Jimmy.
"The army will send a recon team," Buzzer told the Doctors, Roses, Amy and Jack.
"We need to contact the mainland," Cleaves added.
"What about Rory and Jen?" Amy asked, "They are both out there."
"Takes a long time to find someone in a maze," the Doctor told her, "I bet you lot have got a computer map."
"If this is a factory then they do have one," Rose told him.
"If we can get power running, we can scan for them," Cleaves told them as all nine of them started coughing.
"Doctor, you said earlier to breathe," Amy reminded the Doctor.
"Very important, Pond," he told her, "Breathe."
"Yeah, I'm struggling to," she told him.
"What's so important about her breathing?" Jack asked with confusion.
"We'll explain later," Rose told Jack.
"Acid interacting with the stone," the Doctor told them.
"Creating an asphyxiant miasma," the Doctor's ganger added.
"A what?" Cleaves asked them.
"He means chokey gas," Rose explained, "Extra heavy."
"If we can get above it…" the Doctor began to say.
"The evac tower. This way!" Cleaves said as she began to lead them to the power room in the evac tower.
The Doctor, Rose and Amy were the first to enter the evac tower's power room, coughing before Jack, both Gallifreyans' gangars and others follow and head straight for the control panels.
"Ohh! I think I coughed so hard, I pulled a muscle or something," Amy told both Gallifreyans as she turned to them, "It's OK, it's easing off."
"Midnight. It's Adam's birthday," Jimmy said as the Doctor checked the of the control panels with Rose standing next to him and Cleaves helping him as Amy stood at the edge of the control panel and set her lantern on top of the control panel, while both the Doctor and Rose's ganger ducked behind the control panels as a bell chimed the hour, "My son's five. Happy birthday, bud."
"Can either of you really get the power back?" Cleaves asked both the Doctor and Rose as they were now standing behind the control panels' console
"There's always some power floating around," the Doctor answered.
"He's right, Cleaves," Rose said, agreeing with her husband as they ducked down behind the console as their gangar counterparts stood up.
"Sticking to the wires, like bits of lint," the Doctor added.
"Doctor, Rose, what can I do to help?" Jack asked both Gallifreyans.
"You can help us by helping us get the power restored," Rose answered.
"Doctor, can you and your gangar stop finishing each other's…" Amy began to say as Jack began to help both Doctors and Roses get the power back up.
"Sentences?" The Doctor's gangar finished for her, "No probs."
"Yes," the Doctor said, agreeing with his gangar counterpart as they both ducked down.
"Hang on. You said that the TARDIS was stuck in acid, so won't she be damaged?" Amy asked, recalling what she told them when they were trying to cooperate with the Gangars before Cleaves ruined it.
"Nah. She's a tough old thing. Tough, old, TARDIS," the Doctor's gangar answered.
"No, tough, dependable, TARDIS," the Doctor corrected him.
"Come on. OK, how can...how can you both be real?" Amy asked them.
"Well, because...we are. I'm the Doctor," the Doctor answered as he set a black coloured device on the console for a second.
"So am I. We contain the knowledge of over 900 years of experience," the Doctor's gangar added, "We both wear the same bowtie, which is cool."
"Because bowties are…" the Doctor began to say.
"And always will be," the Doctor's gangar said, agreeing with his Gallifreyan counterpart as he pointed at him for a second, causing both Roses to roll their eyes.
"But you and Rose weren't linked up to the Flesh," Amy reminded them with confusion.
"It must've been after I examined it," the Doctor surmised, "Thus, a new, genuine Doctor and Rose were created."
"Ta-da!" the Doctor's gangar said as he stood up, holding a black coloured device, similar to the one his Gallifreyan counterpart was holding earlier.
"But one of each of you was here first," Amy told both Gallifreyans.
"After the Flesh scanned me, I had an accident with a puddle of acid," the Doctor explained, "Now new shoes, a situation which did not confront us learned selves here."
"If you were the one that examined the Flesh, Doctor, then how come Rose has a gangar too?" Amy asked with confusion.
"Must be because of our telepathic bond," Rose explained.
"That satisfy you, Pond?" The Doctor's gangar asked her.
Don't you or the other Rose call me Pond, please," Amy told the Doctor's Gangar, causing both Doctors and Roses to look at her, "What?"
"Interesting. You definitely feel more affection for them than us," the Doctor told her.
"Yeah, you're right, Doctor," Rose said, agreeing with her husband.
"I've noticed that too," Jack said, agreeing with them as he looked up at them.
"No, I... Look, you're fine and everything, but they're the Doctor and Rose," Amy told both gangars, "No offence. Being almost the Doctor and Rose is pretty damn impressive."
"Being almost the Doctor's like being no Doctor at all," the Doctor's gangar told her.
"Yeah, I agree with him," Rose's gangar said, agreeing with the Doctor's gangar.
"Don't you both overreact," Amy told them.
"You might as well call me...Smith," the Doctor's gangar told her.
"Smith?" Amy asked him with confusion.
"John Smith," he answered.
"And you could call me Arkytior," Rose's gangar told her.
"Arkytior?" Amy asked them.
"It means Rose in Gallifreyan," she answered.
"Yes! Communication a go-go!" The Doctor announced as they all ran up to the console to get it keyed up.
"Find Rory! Show me the scanny, tracky screen," Amy said as Cleaves pulled up a screen of the factory's map, "Come on, Rory, let's be having you."
"There's no sign of him anywhere," Cleaves told her.
"Come on, baby, show yourself," Amy muttered to herself.
"St John's calling. Emergency Alpha," Cleaves said as she began speaking into the console's transmitter, "St John's calling the mainland. Are you receiving me, Captain? Come in." The only response she got was static, "We'll never get a signal through this storm," the screen then flickered red, "St John's calling the mainland. Come in, this is urgent."
"We're just about reading you, St John's," a man's voice suddenly said through the transmitter, "How are you doing? We've had all kinds of trouble here."
"Request immediate evacuation," Cleaves told him, "We're under attack. The storm's affected our gangers. They're running amok."
"Your gangers?" The man said with confusion.
"Yes, our gangers are attacking us. We need you to take us off the island immediately and wipe them out," Cleaves confirmed as the Doctor, John, Rose and Arkytior all exchanged a look.
"Copy that, St John's. Shuttle's dispatched. Hang on," the man told her.
"You'll need to airlift us off the roof of the evac tower," Cleaves added, "And Captain, any further transmission sent by me must come with the following code word. I'm typing it, in case they're listening in."
"Got it. We'll swing in, get you out and decommission the Flesh," the man told her as the transmission ended.
"We've got to get out of here," Buzzer said as he and the others began preparing for the evacuation.
"We're not leaving without them," Amy told him as she sat next to the Doctor and Rose.
"She's right, we can't go without them," Jack said, agreeing with her.
"I want 'em found too, but it's about casualties, innit? Can't be helped," Buzzer told them.
"What are you doing?" Amy asked the Doctor.
"He's making a phone call, Amy," Rose answered.
"Who to?" She asked them.
"No-one yet," he answered, "It's on delay."
"Right, not getting it. Why exactly are you making a phone call?" She asked him as John and Arkytior were watching Amy, Rose and the Doctor.
"Because, Amy, I am and always will be the optimist, the hoper of far-flung hopes and the dreamer of improbable dreams," the Doctor explained as he spun around in his chair, "The wheels are in motion. Done." He then spun Amy's chair as Rose spun her chair around as well as Amy yelped a laugh before settling next to them but was staring at John and Arkytior as she crossed her arms.
"You both know, really, there can be only one of each of you," Amy told both Gallifreyans
"Hmm?" The Doctor and Rose both muttered as they both looked at her.
"Ah. Nothing. Carry on. Be amazing," she told them when she suddenly heard a strange breathing noise and stood up as she slowly walked towards it, stopping and looking at the stone wall as a small window slid open and saw the eye patched woman and gasped before turning to look at the Doctor and Rose, but when she turned back, the window was gone.
"Amy? What happened?" The Doctor asked her.
"It's her again," Amy answered as she walked towards and sat back down in her chair as John and Arkytior both looked at the same spot on the wall where Amy saw the eye patched woman.
"It's who again?" Rose asked her.
"There's a woman I keep seeing, a woman with an eye-patch, and she has this habit of sliding walls open and staring at me," Amy explained, "Doctor? Rose?"
"It's nothing," the Doctor answered.
"Doesn't seem like nothing," Amy told him.
"Yeah, don't worry about it, Amy," Rose said, agreeing with her husband.
"It's a time memory. Like a mirage," the Doctor explained as he slapped her thigh, "It's nothing to worry about." He then spun his chair to go back to work on the console.
"It's in my head…" John said as he closed his eyes in pain before heading out of the room.
"Hey, hold on!" Jimmy protested as he saw John leaving the room.
"Don't let him go," Cleaves said, agreeing with Jimmy.
"Leave it to me," Amy said as she stood up and went after John.
John was standing in the hallway, facing the wall as Amy slowly approached him.
"I'm sorry. What I said about you being almost the Doctor and the same with the other Rose, it's just really hard, because I've been through so much with them," Amy told him, "I've even seen... I've even seen the moment of their... Can you and her die? If you and her really are the same, then you both can die. You both can be killed, and...I might have seen that happen."
"Why?" He asked her after a few seconds of silence.
"Why? Because you and Rose invited us to see it," she answered, "Your deaths!"
"Why?" He asked her again as he turned around towards her and grabbed her by the shoulders, causing her to help as he pushed her against the wall.
"You're hurting me," Amy told him with fear in her voice.
"It's all the eyes say! Why?!" He explained, "I can feel them as they work each day, knowing the time was coming for them to be thrown away again. 'Not again, please!' And then they are destroyed and they feel death, and all they can say is, 'Why?'" He then let go of Amy as she ran away, back to the Doctor and Rose for safety.
"Why?" The Doctor and Rose both muttered at the same time in the evac tower's power room as Amy reentered the room.
"Keep him away from me!" Amy ordered both Gallifreyans as John reentered the room as well and walked up to the Doctor and Rose as Arkytior did the same.
"Did you two sense it?" John asked the Doctor.
"Briefly," the Doctor answered, "Not as strong as you."
"Same," Rose answered.
"I didn't sense it as strong either," Arkytior answered as well.
"Amy, I'm sorry," John apologized as he turned to her.
"No, you keep away!" Amy told him, "We can't trust you nor can we with the other Rose."
"It would appear I can connect to the Flesh," John stated.
"Me too," Arkytior said, agreeing with him.
"Well, you both are Flesh," Amy told them.
"We're beginning to understand what it needs," John explained.
"What you both want. You both are it," Amy argued.
"It's much more powerful than we thought," John added, "The Flesh can grow, correct?"
"Its cells can divide," Cleaves confirmed.
"Well, now it wants to do that at will," he told her as he approached her, "It wants revenge. It's in pain, angry. It wants revenge."
"I was right, you're not the Doctor. You can't ever be. You're just a copy," Amy told him, "And the same goes for the other Rose."
"Doctor, Rose, it might be best if you both stayed over there for now, hmm?" Cleaves told John and Arkytior.
"Hold on a minute. Hold your horses. I thought we'd explained this. They're us, we're them," the Doctor said with confusion.
"Yeah, you don't to do that," Rose said, agreeing with her husband, "They're us, but... gangers."
"Yeah, don't make them move to the back of the room," Jack said, agreeing with both Gallifreyans.
"Doctor, we have no issue with you or Rose," Cleaves told both Gallifreyans as Buzzer began walking closer towards them to use force if necessary, "But when it comes to your gangers…"
"Don't be so absurd," the Doctor said as Cleaves stared at both gangars.
"Buzzer, Jimmy?" Cleaves said, calling out to Buzzer and Jimmy.
"Sure, boss," Buzzer and Jimmy said at the same time as John made a point of straightening his bowtie as Buzzer and Jimmy both took empty oil drums and moved them to where John and Arkytior could sit.
"Take a seat, mates," Buzzer ordered both gangars.
"Nice barrel, very comfy," John said as he sat down on a barrel with Arkytior sitting down on the one next to him, "Why not?"
"I somewhat disagree. It's sorta uncomfortable," Arkytior told John.
"Is this really what you want?" John asked Cleaves as Amy crossed her arms and looked at him and Arkytior with a cold expression on her face.
"This is the shuttle," the man from the transmitter suddenly said over the transmitter a while later, "We're right above you, but we can't get low enough. Gamma static could fry our nav-controls. Sit tight. We'll get to you. Just…"
The Doctor soon took out his sonic screwdriver and used it to scan Cleaves before flicking it as it extended into its claw mode.
"Hello? Can you hear me?" Jimmy said, as he tried responding to the man from the transmitter.
"I can't find Rory. I'm going out there," Amy announced.
"We could use our sonics to track him," the Doctor told her, "Humans and gangers give off slightly different signals. Our sonics can tell the difference."
"Oh, so the sonic knows gangers are different, so the other Doctor and Rose are different," Amy told him as he closed his sonic Screwdriver and placed it on his lap.
"He is the Doctor," the Doctor argued.
"And she is Rose," Rose said, agreeing with her husband.
"I agree with you both," Jack told both Gallifreyans.
"Not to me. I can tell," Amy argued.
"Sure you're not prejudiced?" The Doctor asked her.
"Yeah, you seem prejudiced towards them, Amy," Rose said, agreeing with her husband.
"Nice try, but I know, OK? We've been through too much," Amy told them, "You're my Doctor and Rose. End of."
"Hey, there's a camera up. We've got a visual," Buzzer soon said as a camera screen appeared on one of the monitors on the console's screen, causing Amy to rush towards it.
"That's Rory and Jennifer," Amy told them.
"They're heading for the thermostatic room," Cleaves added.
"Let's go get them," Amy told both Gallifreyans as the Doctor tossed his sonic screwdriver to John, who caught it and placed it inside his jacket's pocket as Rose did the same for her gangar, who did the same with her sonic screwdriver as well, "Hang on."
"We can't let them go," Cleaves said, agreeing with Amy, "Are you crazy?"
"Am I crazy, Doctor?" The Doctor asked his gangar.
"Well, you did once plumb your brain into the core of an entire planet just to halt its orbit and win a bet before we reunited with Rose after the Time War," John answered.
"They can't go rescue them," Amy protested, "I'm going."
"Do you know, I want him to go," the Doctor said as he stood up and looked at Amy in the face, "And I'm rather adamant."
"Me too," Rose said, agreeing with him as John and Arkytior both stood up.
"Well, then, they'll need company, right, boss?" Buzzer told Cleaves, "It's fine. I'll handle it."
"Thank you, Buzzer. It'll be all right. I'll find him," John said as he snapped his fingers before he and Arkytior left the room with Buzzer following them.
"We can't explain it to you now, but me and Rose both need you to trust them like Jack does," the Doctor told Amy, "Can you do that for us, Amy?"
"And what if you both are wrong?" Amy asked them.
"These temperature gauges are rising. Jennifer and Rory must have shut off the underground cooling vents," Cleaves said a while later as she saw that the temperature gauges on the console began rising with the Doctor, Rose and Jack looking at it with her.
"Why do that?" Dicken asked, "They'll kill us."
"Maybe the Jennifer that Rory is with is a gangar," Jack suggested.
"I was thinking that too, Jack," Rose said, agreeing with Jack.
"There's a million gallons of boiling acid under our feet…" Cleaves told them.
"And now it's heating up the whole island. How long till it blows?" The Doctor asked them when suddenly there was an explosion that rocked the entire island.
"Gangers or no gangers, we need to get the hell out of here," Dicken told them.
"Shuttle, we need evac," Cleaves said as she spoke into the console's transmitter, "Where are you? Can you hear me? Can you...?" She then winced in pain as she placed a hand over her forehead.
"Cleaves? Cleaves? Cleaves, sit down," the Doctor told Cleaves as he went to her and helped her sit down.
"I'm fine," Cleaves assured him as she began to explain why she was in pain, "I'm waiting for results, so let it go."
"It's a very deep parietal clot," he explained.
"How can you possibly…" she began to say as she stared at him, confused on how he knew what was causing the pain in her head before he sighed, "Inoperable?"
"On Earth, yes," he answered.
"Well, seeing as Earth is all that's on... offer...hmm. I'm no healthy spring chicken, and you're no weatherman. Right?" she said, chuckling as she realized that he wasn't human.
"No he's not Cleaves, and nor am I," Rose told her, confirming her suspicions as she walked towards them, "We're from an almost extinct race known as Gallifreyans, which we're the last of. But we can give you something to cure it after we escape the island."
"Something just cracked. I heard it," Amy announced as another quake spread throughout the island.
"Yeah, we can't stay here, let's go," the Doctor told her as he, Rose and Jack along with Cleaves and Jimmy began to work on the console.
"Let's shift!" Jimmy said, agreeing with the Time Lord as he grabbed a few items from the top of the console.
"Cleaves to Shuttle," Cleaves said as she spoke into the console's transmitter, "We need to move, and we can't be collected from the evac tower."
"Give us the codeword," the man from the transmitter told her.
"The codeword is…" Cleaves began to say, only for another quake to rock the building, causing the console to go up in sparks, causing her to run back to the console to give the codeword.
"Cleaves? Cleaves, it's dead, it's dead," the Doctor told Cleaves as he grabbed her, "We need to get out of here. We need to get back downstairs and get those vents back on, come on."
Outside the monastery, John and Arkytior were scanning the area with their sonic screwdrivers with Buzzer following them.
"I'm getting something," John announced.
"Me too," Arkytior said, agreeing with him.
"Is it human?" Buzzer asked them.
"Yeah, it's human, but it's fading. It's fading. This is bad. Fading is very... bad," John answered as they soon found Jennifer lying on the ground, "Aagh! The signal's gone," he then placed two of his fingers over Jennifer's neck veins to feel her pulse before sighing, "She's...dead. She was hanging onto the edge of life and she just... just slipped away. Oh, Jennifer, I'm so sorry. She's been out here for hours."
"But if the real Jen's been lying out here…" Buzzer began to say.
"Rory's in trouble," Arkytior told them when Buzzer suddenly hit her and John on the back of their heads with a torch, causing them to fall to the ground, unconscious.
"Sorry, guys, it's boss' orders," Buzzer explained to them, "Us and them, innit?"
