For 55 years, the Talking Skull has seen everyone that comes through the ride.

He knew the repeat visitors. The Annual Passholders, the fans who came one a year, the ones who liked the ride, the ones who liked the movies, and the ones who just came on for Johnny Depp. There was quite a large amount of people that came through each day as well.

He loved the newbies, because some of them would turn into regulars, but he still always had a fondness for the regulars.

He found the time everyone spent in lockdown boring. He couldn't see the regulars or anyone, except those he worked with. There had been a lot of fights during that time - everyone got on each other's nerves.

But when they finally came back, it took a while (mainly because he kept forgetting his script), but he settled into the rhythm.

And though their faces were half covered in masks, the Talking Skull could still pick out the regulars he'd got to know so well all these years. Some of them still returning after decades. Pointing at him. Chuckling at him.

It was him making them happy. And knowing that made him happy.

Okay so… I really just like the Talking Skull (who is apparently called Captain X after famed Imagineer X Atencio who worked on the ride and originally voiced the skull).I think it's such an iconic part of the ride. So much so they even made it part of the logo for the movies.
