Momma Tarazi's Concern
Disclaimer: I thought this up recently and figured it could serve as a good explanation for why Momma Tarazi acted how she did where Constantine and Zari are concerned.
Summary: There was a lot more to Momma Tarazi's questions about Constantine and it all had to do with a battle 15 years prior.
Whatever Zari and John thought where Nasreen Tarazi's concerns and questions about him were concerned, was far from the truth. As Nasreen had seen the man's face at a previous time and that had been 15 years ago. As it was hard to forget seeing a man like John Constantine after seeing him give his own life on a live broadcast to stop a dangerous threat in New Zealand. A threat that Constantine had thought to be an ally but in secret, had been against him from the start and had shook the very foundations of the Heavenly Choir Itself with his true allegiance. For Manny had long ago Fallen and had taken great strides to keep God from finding out, especially after taking control of the Brujeria. Manny had waited patiently for a very long time for the day to come that he would begin his taken over and had finally seen the sign that the time was right some years after Crisis. An event that very nearly had ruined his centuries old plans but hadn't much to his relief. Manny's attack on the Earth had also seen a number of Heroes end up needing time to recover due to him and his Army's Power and a few had even chosen to retire for that matter as well in the aftermath.
"You can't hope to win, John. Sure you may have your Magics but at the end of the day I'm an Angel." Declared Manny, or rather, Manda d-Hayyi with a smirk on his lips as he wasn't bothered in the slightest with the stranglehold John had him on as they flew through the air.
"And that arrogance is gonna cost ya, ya bloody bastard!" Yelled out John as he chanted a Spell of some kind that washed over Manny.
Even as he himself was starting to glow as well as Manny began to feel weak seconds later. "What? What did you do!?"
"Just used a Spell that made use of your limited ability to be on this Earth is all! Oh, and drinked a little mixed Concoction of Angel and Demon Blood!"
"But that'll kill you!" Replied the Fallen Angel as he desperately tried to shake John off of him but the Human was holding on tight.
Whether because of Magic or because of his weakening state, Manny wasn't sure of but either way, he wasn't happy about it. "Oh, I know, but it'll kill you too thanks to that lil trick of mine!"
The glow around Constantine grew even brighter as everyone from the ground watched and then to their Horror, watched as the two blew up as a final scream from Manny could be heard. "NOOOOOO!"
