On an asteroid that has been converted to a space station known as Demon's Run.
A small baby is cooing as it lies in a small crib within the station's nursery and on the side of the crib was the name: Melody Pond as Amy caresses the baby with her hands.
"I wish I could tell you that you'll be loved. That you'll be safe and cared for and protected. But this isn't a time for lies," Amy told her baby before picking her up as the eye patched woman and a number of armed soldiers were standing behind her, "What you are going to be, Melody, is very, very brave."
"Two minutes," the eye patched woman said as she stepped forward.
"But not as brave as they'll have to be," Amy added, "Because there's someone coming. I don't know where he is, or what he's doing, but trust me, he's on his way."
Meanwhile 20,000 Light years away on a Cyber-ship, Cybermen were marching along a corridor as two figures walked past in the shadows, wearing two cloaks billowing behind them before they pulled out a pair of sonic screwdrivers with one of them using theirs on a door's lock and closed the door with it the door with the door sliding shut as they were keeping out of sight from the Cybermen.
"Intruders. Level nine. Seal level nine," a Cyberman that was standing with another Cyberman and their Cyberleader in the ship's control room said as they were monitoring the ship as the ship rocked as small explosions went off.
"There's a man who's never going to let us down," Amy told her baby as she looked out a window and saw a large army gathering outside, "And not even an army can get in the way." The eye patched woman then walked towards Amy, with her arms out as two of the soldiers walked close behind her, "Leave her, just you leave her. Please leave her! Leave her!" A Young female soldier with light skin watched as Amy sobs as the eye patched woman and two of the other soldiers grabbed her daughter away from her as two hooded monks stood near a railing at the entrance of the room before walking closer to the railing.
"Intruders, level 11," one of the Cybermen in the control room of the Cyber-ship said as the ship was rocked by another explosion.
"Seal levels 12, 13 and 14," the Cyberleader ordered the Cybermen.
"Intruders, level 15," another Cyberman added.
Amy's baby was in a bassinet, crying as Amy leaned over her, "He's the last of his kind. He looks young, but he's lived for hundreds and hundreds of years. And wherever they take you, Melody, however scared you are, I promise you, you will never be alone," she told her before leaning over and kissing her on the forehead, "Because this man is your father."
"Prepare to engage," the Cyberleader ordered as he took position with his Cybermen in the control room doing the same.
"He has a name, but the people of our world know him better as the Last Centurion," Amy told her baby.
The Cyber-ship's control room's door soon slid open with Rory, wearing his Centurion outfit walking into the room as the Cybermen aimed their large guns at him.
"I have a message and a question. A message from the Doctor and Rose and a question from me," Rory told the Cybermen, "Where is my wife? Oh, don't give me those blank looks." The Cybermen just stared at him as he said that, "The 12th Cyber Legion monitors this entire quadrant." He then walked over to a window where he could see the rest of the Cyber-fleet, "You hear everything. So you tell me what I need to know, you tell me now, and I'll be on my way."
"What is the Doctor and Rose's message?" The Cyberleader asked him as unbeknownst to him, the ships of his Cyber-fleet began to blow up as that was the Gallifreyans' message to the Cybermen as Rory remained impassive.
"Would you like me to repeat the question?" Rory asked the Cyberleader.
In an alleyway in London, 1888 at night, a hansom cab pulled to a halt as a female passenger, wearing a Victorian dress with a coat that had a hood over her head exited the hansom.
"Thank you, Parker. I won't be needing you again tonight," the woman told the cab driver.
"Yes, milady," Parker replied as the Woman wearing the hood entered her home where a maid with light skin and black hair was as she approached her.
"You're back early, ma'am," the maid said, greeting her, "Another case cracked, I assume?"
"Send a telegram to Inspector Abberline of the Yard. Jack the Ripper has claimed his last victim," the woman said as she placed a sword reverently on a rack with a pair of other swords.
"How did you find him?" The maid asked her.
"Stringy, but tasty all the same," the woman answered as she lowered her hood, revealing that she was a Silurian named Vastra, "I shan't be needing dinner."
"Congratulations, ma'am," the maid said, before hesitating, "However, a matter has arisen in the drawing room." The two of them then entered the house's drawing room with the Silurian entering the room first with the maid following her as they saw the TARDIS in a corner of the room, "It just appeared. What does it mean?"
"It means a very old debt is to be repaid," the Silurian answered, stepping close to the TARDIS as she took her coat off, "Pack the cases, Jenny. And we're going to need the swords."
In the year 2011, the TARDIS landed outside a white coloured house in London. Inside the house were two of the Doctor and Rose's former Companions, Mickey Smith and Martha Smith-Jones.
"Mickey, did you hear that?" Martha asked Mickey.
"Indeed, I did, Martha," he answered, "Let's go see what they need us for this time."
Mickey and Martha soon left their house as they saw the Doctor and Rose left the TARDIS.
"Doctor? Rose?" Mickey said with surprise as he and Martha noticed that the Doctor and Rose looked different from when they last saw them and knew that their suspicions that after they saved them from a Sontaran was correct, "You've both regenerated again."
"Indeed we have," Rose confirmed.
"You look almost like a child," Martha told the Doctor.
"This incarnation of mine has been called that before," the Doctor told her, "But we're not here for a social call. We're here to recruit the two of you for something."
"Recruit us for what?" Mickey asked the Time Lord.
"We're building up an army," Rose answered.
"But you both hate guns and soldiers," Martha recalled with confusion.
"Well, this is an exception. Because, a companion of ours has been taken captive and is in labour and we need to get her back," the Doctor explained, "We know where she is from a legion of Cybermen where our companion's husband, Rory Williams encountered them, while we were destroying their fleet. She's at an asteroid space station known as Demon's run in the 52nd Century."
"We already have Jack," Rose added, "Now are you both in or out?"
"We're in," both Mickey and Martha answered at the same time.
2026 years later, a battle was taking place on the planet of Zaruthstra as a male human officer was dodging laser fire and explosions as he ran toward a field hospital.
"Nurse?! Nurse!" The officer called before running inside the field hospital, "Damn it! Where's the nurse?!"
"He needs help!" A woman in the field hospital told the officer.
"Madame President, I'm sorry, but we have to go now!" He told her as on one of the field hospital's beds was a young boy, "Those things could be here any second!"
Just then, a Sontaran entered the field hospital and removed his helmet, "Did somebody call for a nurse?" He asked them before he began to scan the young boy.
"Will I be OK?" The young boy asked the Sontaran.
"Of course you will, my boy. You'll be up and around in no time!" The Sontaran answered, "And perhaps one day you and I shall meet on the field of battle, and I will destroy you for the glory of the Sontaran Empire."
"Thanks, Nurse," the young boy muttered, weakly.
The Sontaran then left the field hospital with his helmet under his arm as the officer followed him out the field hospital.
"Commander Strax. I just have to ask. A Sontaran nurse?" The officer asked the Sontaran with confusion.
"I serve a penance to restore the honour of my clone batch," Strax explained, "It is the greatest punishment a Sontaran can endure, to help the weak and sick."
"Who came up with that one?" The officer asked him when they suddenly heard the TARDIS materialise, causing Strax to turn around and saw the TARDIS in the distance.
"Tonight, though, perhaps my penance is over," Strax said as he turned to the officer, "Captain Harcourt, I hope someday to meet you in the glory of battle, when I shall crush the life from your worthless human form." The two then nodded their heads in acknowledgment, "Try to get some rest."
Meanwhile at Stormcage Containment Facility, there were alarms blaring as River was swaying as she walked up to the phone amidst the blaring alarms as she was wearing a late Victorian era gown.
"Oh, turn it off. I'm breaking in, not out. This is River Song, back in her cell…" River said, picking up the phone, "Oh, and I'll take breakfast at the usual time. Thank you!" She then hung up the phone and glided along the floor before stopping as she saw a silhouette dressed as a Roman, "Oh, are you boys dressing up as Romans now? I thought nobody read my memos."
The silhouette then walked out of the shadows, revealing to be Rory, "Dr Song? It's Rory. Sorry, have we met yet?" He asked her, "The time streams, I'm not quite sure where we are…"
"Yes. Yes, we've met," she answered in a somewhat sad tone as she walked up to him, "Hello, Rory."
"What's wrong?" He asked her.
"It's my birthday. The Doctor and Rose took me and Jack so me and him could go ice skating on the River Thames in 1814, the last of the great frost fairs," River answered, laughing nervously, "The Doctor got Stevie Wonder to sing for me and Jack under London Bridge."
"Stevie Wonder sang in 1814?" Rory said with surprise.
"Yes, he did," she confirmed, "But you must never tell them."
"I've come from the Doctor and Rose too," He told her.
"Yes, but at a different point in time," she explained.
"Unless there's two of each of them with Jack," Rory suggested.
"Now, that's a whole different birthday," she told him as she began heading for her cell and pulled out her diary from her bag and read a page from it.
"They need you!" Rory told her.
"Demons Run," she muttered as she closed her diary.
"How...how did you know?" He asked with surprise.
"I'm from their future. I always know," she explained as she turned back around, "Why on earth are you wearing that?"
"It was the Doctor's idea, while Rose was against it," Rory explained.
"Of course. The Doctor's rules of engagement," River said as she realized why Rory was dressed like a Roman Centurion, "Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee."
"Look ridiculous," Rory told her.
"Have you considered heels?" She asked him, teasingly as she turned away from him.
"They've taken Amy. And our baby," he told her, causing River to look and was almost on the verge of tears, "The Doctor and Rose are getting some people including some former companions of theirs together, we're going after her, but they need you too."
"I can't," she said as she faced him, "Not yet, anyway."
"I'm sorry?" He said with confusion.
"This is The Battle of Demon's Run," River explained, "The Doctor and Rose's darkest hour. They'll rise higher than ever before and then fall so much further. And...I can't be with them or Jack till the very end."
"Why not?" He asked her.
"Because this is it," she said as she entered her cell, "This is the day they find out who I am."
In the year 5145 within a trading post known as the Maldovarium, a crespellion known as Dorium Maldovar was laughing after speaking with the eye patched woman and a colonel as he began to walk into a back storage room, when he suddenly heard the TARDIS' engines.
"No. No, no, please! Not me! You don't need me!" Dorium pleaded as The TARDIS' doors opened and light poured out from the console room as he saw the Doctor and Rose standing in the doorway, "Why would you both need me?! I'm old! I'm fat! I'm blue! You both can't need me!"
In Demon's run's hangar, a colonel with African ancestry named Manton was on a stage, four Headless Monks behind him with soldiers standing at ease as he began to speak to the soldiers as the eye patched woman stood next to the stage with two soldiers by her side as guards.
"They're not devils," Manton said as he began to speak with his soldiers, "He is not a god, nor is she a goddess. They're not goblins, or phantoms or tricksters. The Doctor and Rose Smith are a living, breathing man and woman, and as I look around this room I know one thing... We're sure as hell going to fix that." His soldiers then began to cheer.
Back in the Nursery, Amy was watching Manton's speech through the window as the same female soldier from earlier named Lorna reentered and slowly approached her, holding something in her hand.
"Sorry. I shouldn't be here, I'm meant to be at the thing. I brought you something. Your child's name, in the language of my people," Lorna said as she handed her a leaf with words written on it in an alien language, "It's a prayer leaf and we believe, if you keep this with you, your child will always come home to you."
"Can I borrow your gun?" Amy asked her.
"Why?" Lorna asked, wondering why she would want her gun.
"'Cause I've got a feeling you're going to keep talking," Amy explained before looking back at the window, "Talking like they're famous. The Doctor and Rose aren't famous…"
"They meet a lot of people. Some of them...remember," Lorna explained as she smiled, "They're sort of like ...I dunno. Dark legends."
"Dark?! Have you met them?" Amy asked her with disbelief.
"Yeah," Lorna answered, causing Amy to turn around, "But I was just a little girl."
"So was I," Amy told her.
"You've been with them a long time then," Lorna surmised.
"No. They came back for me," Amy explained.
"You must be very special," Lorna told her.
"Hey, you can wait a long time for the Doctor and Rose. But they're worth it, okay?" Amy said as she walked up to her, "The thing is, they're coming. No question about it. Just you make sure you're on the right side when they get here. Not for my sake...for yours." She then held her hand out as Lorna handed her the prayer leaf that she made for her child, "Thank you." Amy then held the prayer leaf between her hands as Lorna left her and the Nursery.
"On this day, in this place, the Doctor and Rose will fall," Manton went on as his soldiers continued to cheer, while Amy continued to watch from the window in the nursery, "The man and woman who talks, the man and woman who reasons, the man and woman who lies, will meet the perfect answer. Some of you have wondered why have we have allied ourselves with the Headless Monks." Lorna then arrived and took her position, "Perhaps you should have wondered why we call them Headless. It's time you knew what these guys have sacrificed for faith. As you all know, it is a Level One Heresy, punishable by death, to lower the hood of a Headless Monk. But by the divine grant of the Papal Mainframe herself, on this one and only occasion, I can show you the truth. Because these guys never can be…" he then lowered the hood of one of the monks to show a knotted stump where the head and neck should have been, "persuaded! They never can be…" he then lowered the hood of another monk to reveal the same thing, "Afraid." He then approached the third monk, "And they can never, ever be…" The last two monks suddenly threw back their own hood to reveal the Doctor and Rose.
"Surprised!" Both Gallifreyans exclaimed at the same time, surprising the soldiers, Manton and the eye patched woman as Amy smiles and presses her hands against the window.
"Hello everyone! Guess who!" The Doctor laughed as he and Rose walked to the front of the stage, "Please point a gun at me and my wife if it helps you relax." All the soldiers except for Lorna aimed their guns at the Doctor and Rose as the Time Lord said that as the two monks drew energized swords, "You're only human."
Vastra and Jenny entered the communications room with swords with Martha and Mickey following them with guns as Vastra and Jenny placed the swords to the two soldiers' necks, while Martha and Mickey held their automatic rifles at the two soldiers' heads at gunpoint.
"Don't you dare move, mister," Mickey ordered one of the soldiers.
"Do as my husband says, don't you dare move," Martha said, agreeing with Mickey.
"Go on, resist. I'm ever so hungry," Vastra urged one of the soldiers.
"Now, dear, which button controls the lights?" Jenny asked the soldiers.
"Doctor, Rose, you both will come with me, right now!" Manton ordered both Time Lords as he aimed a gun at them, causing them to turn around as they smiled at the colonel.
"Three minutes, forty seconds," the Doctor told him, "Amelia Pond! Get your coat!" Both Gallifreyans the put their hoods back on when the lights suddenly went out for a second before turning back on, causing everyone to see that they had vanished as he spoke into a speaker, "We're not phantoms."
"Doctor?" Manton said, calling out to the Time Lord.
"We're not tricksters," Rose added as she spoke into a speaker as well.
"Rose?" Manton said, calling out to the Time Lady as well.
"We're monks," both Gallifreyans then said into a speaker at the same time.
"Doctor, Rose, show yourselves!" Manton ordered both Gallifreyans.
"It's one of them! They're here!" One of the soldiers said as they aimed their gun at one of the monks, causing the other soldiers to aim their guns at the monks as well. The monks then charged their swords, "It's them!" The soldier then shot one of the monks, causing a tension to begin between the two factions.
"Weapons down! Do not fire!" Manton ordered his soldiers as one of the monks raised their hand as energy was shot from it, killing a soldier instantly, "NOOO!" The monks and the soldiers then began fighting each other.
"Follow me," the eye patched ordered her guards.
"Doctor! Rose!" Manton said, calling out to both Gallifreyans.
Back in the communication room, Vastra was working on the controls with Jenny looking at the screen at Manton as Mickey and Martha were guarding the two soldiers, who were now tied up as they aimed their guns at them.
"Stay where you are, mister!" Mickey ordered the guards.
"You both better do as he says," Martha urged both soldiers.
"Clever, aren't they?" Jenny asked Vastra.
"And rather attractive," Vastra answered.
"You do realise the Doctor's a man, don't you, ma'am?" Jenny reminded her.
"Mammals," Vastra explained, "They all look alike."
"Oh, thank you!" Jenny said, thanking her for her compliment as the soldiers began to work their way to the door lock override on the wall.
"We told you to stay where you were," Mickey reminded the soldiers as he and Martha hit them with their guns' butts, knocking them out.
"Do not fire. Nobody discharge their weapon in this room," Manton ordered his soldiers, "Nobody!" Lorna then saw two figures in monks' robes by one of the doors with one of them using a sonic screwdriver as she realized they were the Doctor and Rose, "Do not fire!"
"Was I being insensitive again, dear? I don't know why you put up with me," Vastra told Jenny before noticing that the soldiers were knocked out, "Why did you both knock them out?"
"They were moving when we told them to stay still and suspected that they were going to lock the door's override," Marth explained.
"Then it's a good thing you both did so," Vastra told them.
"Stop, wait! Listen to me!" Manton said as Lorna saw the Doctor and Rose sneaking out of the room and began to follow them, "I'm disarming my weapon pack." He then removed a weapons pack from his gun, "Monks, I do this in good faith! I am now unarmed." He then placed his weapons pack on the floor in front of him, "All of you, discharge your weapon packs. The Doctor and Rose are both trying to make fools of us... We are soldiers of God, we are not fools! We are not fools!"
"We are not fools!" The soldiers began chanting as they removed weapon packs from their guns as well.
"We are not fools!" Manton said, repeating himself.
"We are not fools!" One of the soldiers chanted as more soldiers began to remove their weapon packs from their guns with Manton leading the chant as more and more of his soldiers continued to follow his lead.
"Colonel Manton is regaining control," Vastra noted as she saw what Manton was doing as she and Jenny saw what Manton was doing through the communication room's window.
"Where have the Doctor and Rose gone?" Jenny asked as she noticed that they had vanished from the hangar.
"If I know them, they're planning on doing something to knock out their communications array, so they can't call for backup," Mickey surmised.
"I was thinking the same thing," Martha told her husband.
The soldiers continued their chant and soon they were all unarmed as the monks had lowered their swords as a female soldier put down her weapon and then looked into the face of an armed Silurian as other Silurians soon beamed in and they soon had the soldiers surrounded. Judoon appeared as well with one of them not wearing their helmets as Strax suddenly appeared on the stage next to Manton, aiming his gun at the colonel.
"This base is now under our command," Strax told Manton.
"I have a fleet out there! If Demons Run goes down, there's an automatic distress call," Manton told the Sontaran.
"Not if we knock out your communications array," Rose told Manton as she and the Doctor stood on a raised platform, overlooking the hangar with microphones in their hands.
"And you've got incoming!" The Doctor added.
"Danny Boy to the Doctor. Danny Boy to the Doctor," Danny boy from when the Doctor and Rose were in World War 2 with Amy where she met Churchill when they stopped the Daleks suddenly said on their microphones.
"Give 'em hell, Danny Boy!" The Doctor said as he puts his arms out and pretends to be a plane, while Rose facepalmed as the spitfires that helped them damage the Dalek mothership began to fire upon Demon's run as the Doctor began mimicking a plane's machine gun being fired as Amy smiled as the asteroid rocked from the spitfires' attacks.
"Target destroyed," Danny boy announced, causing the Doctor, Rose and Amy to laugh as Manton hung his head down in defeat.
"Don't slump, it's bad for your spine!" Strax told the colonel.
In one of the corridors of Demon's run, soldiers were walking towards the eye patched woman, carrying the bassinet between them.
"Get back in there with the rest of them," the eye patched woman told them, "Remember, the Doctor and Rose both must think they're winning, right until the trap closes! I'll take my ship from here." She then keyed in a code at the door as the two soldiers set down the bassinet and left as Lorna was hiding at a corner before she took off her pack and left quietly.
"Airlock engaged. Shuttle ready for boarding," a computerized voice said.
"No," Rory said as he and Jack approached her with Rory aiming a sword at her neck, while Jack was aiming his revolver at her.
"I have a crew of 20," she told them, "How do you expect to gain control of my ship?"
"Why don't you look behind you, Madame Kovarian," Jack countered as Rory scoffed at her when the airlock's doors suddenly opened as one of her men was pushed out, trussed up as behind him was Avery and his son.
"This ship is ours, m'lady!" Avery told Kovarian as he aimed his pistol at her.
Please review.
If you were wondering where Jenny, the Doctor and Rose's daughter was the in-universe answer is that she was too busy with exams and the out-of-universe explanation is that I couldn't differentiate her with Jenny from 1888.
