Disclaimer: I Don't own Doctor Who that goes to the BBC
A few months later in a cornfield in Leadworth, birds were singing as suddenly a Minivan drove through the stalks of corn and in the minivan was Amy and Rory with Amy holding a map.
"OK, left, sharp turn!" Amy said, giving Rory directions before he turned the minivan left in a sharp turn-like manner as they crossed a previous path, "OK, right! No, no, no I mean left." She then turned the map around, "No, sorry right, right! I definitely meant right." Rory continued to drive as she said that, "Now loop the loop!" Rory then drove a loop over a loop, "Stop! Stop!" He then slammed the minivan's brakes as they got out of the minivan as they saw the Doctor, Rose, Jack and the TARDIS in the middle of the crop circle they just made with the Doctor now wearing a double-breasted overcoat made from olive green moleskin instead of his tweed jacket.
"Seriously?" The Doctor asked as he held out a Leadworth newspaper with a headline reading 'Leadworth's Crop Circle' that had the words 'Doctor and Rose' written within the Crop circle.
"Well, neither of you never answered your phones," Rory explained as he closed the minivan's door.
"OK, you three had all summer," Amy said walking up to both Gallifreyans and Jack, "Have you three found her? Have you three found Melody?"
"Permission?" The Doctor asked as he handed the newspaper to Rory.
"Granted," Rory answered.
"You know who she grows up to be, so you know We will find her," the Doctor told Amy as he hugged her.
"Yeah, we will, Amy," Rose said, agreeing with Amy, "It'll be a matter of time before we do."
"But neither of you haven't yet?" Amy asked as she ended her hug with the Doctor.
"Hang on, what's this bit?" Rory asked as he flipped open the newspaper, revealing that the Crop Circle was made from the words 'Doctor' and 'Rose' but someone had driven through the words 'Doctor' and 'Rose'.
"Did you two do that?" Jack asked Amy and Rory.
"No, that wasn't us," Amy answered.
"Then it seems that someone was probably following you," Rose suggested as the Doctor grabbed the paper back from Rory and tried to locate where the line would be before stopping and lowered the paper with Rose, Jack, Amy and Rory standing behind him, as they heard an engine and saw a red Corvette coming straight at them before they screamed and dived out of the way before the car stopped, inches away from the TARDIS as a young dark skinned woman with braids step out of the car as Jack, Amy and Rory were standing, while the Doctor and Rose were knocked to the ground, near the woman's feet.
"You said the Doctor was funny, you never said he was a bowtie wearing idiot that should get rid of the bowtie," the woman said, looking at the Doctor before looking at Rose, "And you never told me that Rose was a blonde that wears dark pink jackets and red converse shoes."
"Mels?" Rory said, calling out to the woman with confusion.
"What are you doing here?" Amy asked her.
"Following you, what do you think?" Mels answered.
"Amy, Rory, you know her?" Jack asked as both the Doctor and Rose used the car to stand back up.
"We've known her since we were children," Amy answered.
"Um, where did you get the car?" Rory asked Mels.
"It's mine…" Mels began to answer before they heard police sirens wail in the distance, "..ish."
"Oh, Mels, not again?" Amy muttered.
"What is she? A criminal?" Jack asked them.
"Yeah, she is, Jack," Amy answered, "She's been to prison god knows how many times."
"You can't keep doing this," Rory told Mels, "You'll end up in prison."
"Sorry, but who are you?" The Doctor asked Mels.
"Doctor, I think she's a friend of Amy and Rory's," Rose answered.
"Is that the phone box! The bigger-on-the-inside phone box?" Mels asked as she pointed at the TARDIS before caressing the TARDIS, "Time travel - that's just brilliant." The Doctor then leaned against the TARDIS with Rose near Mels, "Yeah, I've heard a lot about the two of you. As Rose said, I'm their friend, but I'm more than that, I'm their best mate."
"Then why don't we know you?" The Doctor asked her, "We met everyone at the wedding."
"I don't do weddings," Mels explained as the police sirens became louder as they began to come closer towards them, "And that's me out of time." She then pulled a pistol out and aimed it at the Doctor and Rose as they both raised their hands.
"Mels!" Amy yelled with surprise and anger.
"For God's sake!" Rory yelled with surprise and anger as well.
"You better put that down ma'am," Jack said as he moved his World War II coat, revealing his revolver between his shirt and belt.
"What are you doing?" Amy asked Mels.
"I need out of here, now!" Mels explained.
"Anywhere in particular?" The Doctor and Rose both asked at the same time.
"Well, let's see! You've both got a time machine, I've got a gun," she told them, "What the hell - let's kill Hitler."
"You've shot it!" The Doctor said with disbelief as the TARDIS began to spin out of control above the cornfield as Mels fired her pistol at the TARDIS' time rotor's glass casing as he stared at it, while Rose, Jack, Amy and Rory were clinging to the console as Mels was hanging onto the railing, "You shot our TARDIS! You shot the console!"
"It's your fault!" Mels told him.
"Argh! How's it my fault?!" The Doctor told him.
"You said guns didn't work in this place," Mels explained, "You said we're in a state of temporal grace."
"That was a clever lie, you idiot! Anyone could tell that was a clever lie!" The Doctor told her.
"Well, it actually does have a state of temporal grace," Rose told her, "But it hasn't been repaired since he was in his fifth incarnation, hundreds of years ago.
"Rose, you shouldn't have told her that," the Doctor told her.
"I thought it'd be better to tell her than her finding out the hard way," Rose explained.
"Good point," he said as the TARDIS was suddenly flown into the Time Vortex.
The TARDIS soon left the Time Vortex as it bursts through the window of a building, knocking a man with a major-general Nazi uniform wearing glasses to the floor.
"Out, out, out! Everybody out," the Doctor said, ushering Rose, Jack, Amy, Rory and Mels out of the TARDIS after he exited the TARDIS as they all were coughing as the TARDIS began to create deadly smoke, "Don't breathe the smoke, just get out!"
"Where are we?" Amy asked.
"A room," Jack answered, stating the obvious.
"What room?" Rory asked.
"We don't know! Neither of us haven't memorized every room in the universe. Me and Rose along with Jack had yesterday off," the Doctor answered before seeing Mels standing at the TARDIS' open doorway, "Mels, don't go in there!"
"Oi!" Mels protested as the Doctor took her pistol from her.
"Bad smoke! Don't breathe the bad, bad, smoke," the Doctor explained, "Bad, deadly smoke, because somebody shot our TARDIS!"
"I think I know where we are," Rose said as she saw swastikas hanging down the walls of the room.
"Where are we, Rosie?" Jack asked her.
"Look around the room, Jack," Rose told him, "We're in Nazi Germany. Not sure which year between 1933 to 1945 we are in."
"Doctor, Rose, this guy, I think he's hurt," Rory said as he noticed the Nazi officer with the major-general uniform on the ground, "No, hang on. No, he's… he's fine."
The Doctor doesn't know what to do with Mels' pistol before finally deciding to put in a fruit bowl on a desk within the room as a man who seemed to have been attacked climbed up from behind the desk.
"Ooh, hello! Sorry, is this your office?" The Doctor asked the man, "Had a sort of collision with me and my wife's vehicle. Faults on both sides, let's say no more about…" the man turned around as the Doctor saw who the man was as did Rose as they knew who he was from the man's nearly black hair, brown eyes and toothbrush mustache, "…it." Rose, Jack, Amy and Rory then walked up beside the Doctor as they knew who the man was as well.
"Is that...?" Amy began to ask with disbelief, "No, it can't be, Doctor and Rose?"
"It is, Amy," Rose answered, "The Doctor just accidentally saved Adolf Hitler's life."
"Thank you. Whoever you are, I think you have just saved my life," Hitler told the Time Lord.
"Believe me... it was an accident," the Doctor said, still shocked at saving one of the most infamous dictators in human history.
"What is this thing?" Hitler asked as he saw the TARDIS and walked up to it.
"What did he mean we saved his life?" Amy asked both Gallifreyans, "We could not have saved Hitler."
"I know, Amy," Rose said, agreeing with her, "I wish it wasn't true, but it seems we just accidently saved the most infamous 20th century dictator."
"You see? You see, time travel, it never goes to plan," the Doctor said, agreeing with Rose.
"This box, what is it?" Hitler asked them.
"It's a police telephone box from London, England," the Doctor answered, "That's right, Adolf, the British are coming."
"No, stop him!" Hitler ordered as the man with the major-general uniform stood up as he pulled out a revolver and fired it at the man with the major-general uniform.
Rory then punched Hitler on the chin, knocking him to the floor before Rory picked up Hitler's revolver and aimed it at the German Fuhrer, "Sit still, shut up." Hitler then puts his hands up in fear.
"Are you OK?" Amy asked the man with the major-general uniform.
"Yes, yes," the man answered, "I'm fine. I think he missed."
"He was going to kill me," Hitler explained.
"Yeah, like he'll 'cause the deaths of millions of Jews in the coming years," Jack muttered.
"Yeah, I agree with you, Jack," Rose said, agreeing with the ex-Time Agent, "And as you were a Time Agent, I think you'll know that his death is a fixed point."
"Yeah, I know, Rosie," Jack said, confirming Rose's suspicions, "I only wish we could stop the genocide he'll 'cause on millions of Jews."
"Shut up, Hitler!" Rory ordered Hitler.
"Rory, take Hitler and put him in that cupboard over there now," the Doctor told Rory, "Do it!"
"Right, putting Hitler in the cupboard. Cupboard, Hitler. Hitler, cupboard," Rory said, pulling Hitler to his feet, "Come on."
"But I am the Fuhrer!" Hitler protested.
"Right, in you go!" Rory said as he shoved Hitler into the room's cupboard.
"Who are you?" Hitler asked the nurse as Rory closed the door.
"Are you OK?" The Doctor asked the Man with the major-general uniform as he began to study him as he peered over the man's face.
"Oh, I…" the man with the major-general uniform said as he fell backwards in a faint.
"I think he just fainted," Rory told them.
"Yes, that was a faint," the Doctor said, confirming Rory's suspicions, "A perfect faint."
"That was definitely a faint," Rose said, agreeing with her husband, "The most anyone I've ever seen faint."
"Mels?" Amy said as she noticed that Mels had a hand over her stomach.
"Hitler…" Mels told them.
"What about him?" Jack asked as he and everyone else looked at her.
"Lousy shot," Mels explained before falling to the floor.
"Mels! Mels!" Amy yelled as she, Rose, Rory, Jack and the Doctor rushed over to Mels.
"Rory!" The Doctor said in a worrying tone.
"No, no, no! I've got to stop the bleeding!" Rory said as he tried to stop Mels' stomach from bleeding.
"How bad is it?" Amy asked as she stroked Mels' hair before turning to Rory as he continued to try to stop Mels from bleeding any further, "Rory, what can we do?"
"Just keep her conscious!" Rory told his wife before turning to Mels, "Stay with us, Mels."
"Hey, look at me," the Doctor told Mels, "Just hold on."
"Yeah, listen to him, we'll stop you from bleeding," Rose assured her.
"I used to dream about you both," Mels told her, "All those stories Amy told me."
"What stories?" The Doctor asked her, "Tell us what stories. Vampires in Venice, that's a belter."
"When I was little, I wanted to meet the two of you," Mels told both Time Lords.
"It seems that you have, let's take you somewhere exciting," the Doctor promised, "You live and we'll take you somewhere exciting, deal? Deal?"
"Or we can have Jack take you somewhere with his Vortex Manipulator," Rose suggested.
"Shouldn't you both ask my parents permission if I should go on an adventure with you two?" Mels asked them.
"Soon as you're well, we'll get on the phone," the Doctor assured her.
"Might as well do it now, since they're both right here," Mels told him, causing the Doctor, Rose, Jack, Amy and Rory to all exchange glances, "Penny in the air." Both the Doctor and Rose stood up as Mels began to glow with golden regeneration energy, "Penny drops!"
"What the hell's going on?" Rory asked with confusion.
"Back! Back! Back! Get back!" The Doctor said as he grabbed Amy and Rory by the hands, pulling them away from Mels as Rose and Jack backed away her as well.
"Last time I did this, I ended up a toddler in the middle of New York," Mels said as she stood back up.
"OK, Doctor, Rose, one of you better explain what is happening?" Amy asked the Doctor and Rose as she leaned against Hitler's desk with the Doctor, Rose, Jack and Rory, "Please!"
"Mels. Short for..?" The Doctor began to ask.
"Melody," Mels answered.
"Yeah, I named my daughter after her," Amy told him with confusion in her voice.
"It seems that you named your daughter... after your daughter," Jack explained.
"Bootstrap Paradox," Rose added.
"Took me years to find you two," Mels told her parents, "I'm so glad I did. And, you see, it all worked out in the end, didn't it? You got to raise me after all."
"You're Melody?" Amy said, still with shock in her voice.
"But if she's Melody, that means she's also…" Rory began to say.
"Oh, shut up, Dad! I'm focussing on a dress size," Mels said, interrupting her father before giving into her regeneration as she burst with regeneration energy and screamed as the change took place as she began to change from a dark skinned woman with braids to a very familiar woman with light skin with blond curly hair that everyone but her knew as River Song and when it was over she panted as she regained her breathing and becomes familiar with her new body, "Right, let's see, then. Ooh, it's all going on down there, isn't it?" She then touched her hair and realized that she had long curly hair, "The hair!" She then ran to a mirror, "Oh! The hair, it just doesn't stop, does it? Look at that! Everything changes! Oh, but I love it, I love it!" She then faced the others, " I'm all sort of... mature!" She then puts her foot on a piece of furniture, attempting to look seductive towards Jack, "Hello, Benjamin!"
"Who's Benjamin?" Jack asked as he covered his eyes briefly.
"The teeth!" She said as she placed her fingers in front of her teeth as she looked back in the mirror, "The teeth, the teeth!" she then ran to the others, "Oh, look at them!" She then forces herself on Jack, "Watch out! That World War II coat! Excuse me, you lot, I need to weigh myself!" She then ran into the restroom.
"That's Melody?" Amy said, still with shock as she, the Doctor, Rose, Jack and Rory sat at the edge of the desk, stunned.
"That's River Song," Rory added.
"Who's River Song?" Melody asked as she appeared in the doorway.
"Spoilers," the Doctor answered as they all turned to look at her.
"Spoilers? What's spoilers?" She asked them, "Hang on, just something I have to check." She then ran back into the other room.
"Is anybody else finding today just a bit difficult?" Rory asked the others, "I'm getting a sort of banging in my head."
"Yeah, I think that's Hitler in the cupboard," Amy answered.
"That's not helping," Rory muttered.
"This isn't the River Song we know yet," the Doctor said as she stood up and walked across the room with Rose as Jack, Amy and Rory joined them.
"This is her right at the start," Rose added, finishing her husband's train of thought, "Doesn't even know her name."
"Ah, that's magnificent!" They heard Melody exclaim from the other room before turning to see her leaning with her hand against the door frame, "I'm going to wear lots of jodhpurs! Well, now, enough of all that!" She then pulled out a pistol and aimed It at the Doctor and Rose, "Down to business."
"Oh, hello. I thought we were going on an adventure," the Doctor reminded her.
"I don't do adventures," Melody explained as she began walking towards them.
"Doctor, Rose, what's she doing?" Rory asked both Gallifreyans.
"What she's programmed to," Rose answered.
"Where'd she get the gun?" Rory asked them.
"She got it when she was trying to seduce Jack when she said, 'Hello, Benjamin,'" the Doctor explained.
"You noticed!" Melody said as she went to fire her pistol at the Time Lord, only for it's barrel to be empty of bullets.
"Of course I noticed," the Doctor confirmed.
"I did as well," Rose said, telling her that she also noticed that she got her pistol back when she was seducing Jack as well as she remembered that when Mels was regenerating, the Doctor quickly went over to the chair and removed the bullets from the gun.
"As soon as I knew you were coming, I tidied up a bit," the Doctor explained as he walked forward.
"I know you did," Melody said as she tossed the pistol away and reached into her vest as Rose remembers that when Melody was seducing Jack that she took her pistol from a fruit bowl
"We know you know," the Doctor told her as he remembered spinning the fruit bowl around so Melody actually grabs a banana before she suddenly pulls out the banana thinking it's a pistol, causing Jack to chuckle as he remembered when the Doctor did something similar to him in London 1941 during the London Blitz when they were being stalked by gas masked Zombies when Rose was still Chameleon-arched and in her second incarnation's body, while the Doctor still had big ears and wore leather jackets.
"Goodness, is killing you and Rose going to take all day?" Melody asked the Doctor.
"Why?" Jack asked as he approached her and took the banana from her, "Are you busy?"
"Oh, I'm not complaining," Melody told Jack as she grabbed a letter opener from Hitler's desk and tried to swipe it at the Doctor, only for him to use his sonic screwdriver on it to make her drop it.
"If you were in a hurry, you could've killed me and Rose in the cornfield," the Doctor told her.
"We'd only just met. I'm a psychopath. I'm not rude," she told him as she took the pistol from the fruit bowl and fired it as the Doctor held up the pistol's clip and blew on it.
"You were not a psychopath!" Amy told her daughter, "Why would she be a psychopath?"
"Oh, Mummy, Mummy, pay attention," Melody told Amy as she and the Doctor began to circle each other, "I was trained and conditioned for one purpose. I was born to kill the Doctor and his wife, Rose Smith."
"Demons Run, remember?" Rose reminded her.
"This is what they were building, Jack's bespoke psychopath," the Doctor added.
"Oh, look at that!" Melody said as she walked towards the room's window and stepped onto the window sill, "Berlin on the eve of war. A whole world about to tear itself apart." She then turned back, "Now that's my kind of town. Mum, Dad, Jack, don't follow me. And, yes, that is a warning."
"No warning for us, then?" The Doctor and Rose both asked her at the same time.
"No need, Doctor and Rose," Melody told both Gallifreyans, "The deed is done and so are the both of you."
"Doctor, Rose, what's wrong?" Amy asked both Galiifreyans as their legs began to wobble as Amy and Rory held him up as Jack did the same for Rose as she and the Doctor gripped their chests in pain.
"What have you done? River!" The Doctor yelled at Melody.
"Yeah, what did you do to us, River?!" Rose asked her, agreeing with her husband.
"Who is this River that you both are talking about?" Melody asked them.
"What have you done?!" The Doctor and Rose both asked as they collapsed to the floor.
"It was never going to be a gun for either of you, Doctor and Rose, the man and woman of peace who both understand every kind of warfare, except, perhaps, the cruellest," Melody explained.
"What's that smell?" Rose suddenly asked as she smelled something that smelled like perfume.
"Yeah, what's that smell?" The Doctor asked, agreeing with his wife.
"I don't smell anything," Amy told them.
"Nor do I," Rory said, agreeing with Amy.
"I don't smell anything either," Jack said, agreeing with Amy and Rory.
"Must be something that only Time Lords and Time Ladies can smell," Rose surmised.
"Bye, bye," Melody said, waving both Gallifreyans goodbye as she jumped outside through the window.
"What's wrong with you both? What's she done to you?" Jack asked them.
"She's poisoned us," Rose answered.
"But, we're fine," the Doctor told her, "Well, no, we're dying, but I've got a plan."
"What plan?" Amy asked him.
"We're not dying. See, fine!" The Doctor said as he and Rose stood back up with Amy, Rory and Jack helping them back up as both Gallifreyans groaned.
"OK, what do we do? How do we help you both?" Rory asked the Doctor and Rose.
"Take this! The TARDIS can home in on it," the Doctor said, handing Amy his sonic screwdriver, "Now, go, get after her!"
"Go with them, Jack," Rose ordered the ex-Time Agent as she groaned in pain as Rory looked out the window down to the street and saw Melody approaching a group of Nazi soldiers.
Melody stride confidently towards the soldiers.
"Hey was machen sie hier?" One of the soldiers asked her in German as the TARDIS' translation circuit wasn't functioning properly.
"Halt!" Another soldier said as five of the soldiers aimed rifles at Melody with an officer aiming a pistol at her.
"Hello, boys!" Melody said, greeting the Nazi soldiers.
"Doctor, you said the smoke was deadly," Any reminded him as she helped the Doctor to the TARDIS with Jack doing the same for Rose.
"It's more deadly for humans than us Gallifreyans," Rose explained.
"The smoke's fine," the Doctor assured Amy, "The poison will kill us first. Now, get after River, you three!"
"I don't understand, OK? One minute she wants to go on an adventure with you two and then kill the both of you," Amy said with confusion in her voice.
"Ah, well, she's been brainwashed, it makes sense to her. Plus, she is a woman trained Kovarian," the Doctor explained, "Oh, shut up, we're dying." He and Rose then entered the TARDIS, which the console room was filled with smoke as he and Rose leaned heavily against the door.
"Extractor fans on!" Rose ordered the TARDIS and as she said that the TARDIS activated its extractor fans as the fans sucked the smoke away.
"Oh! That works!" The Doctor said, happily as he hurried to the console with Rose.
"What are you doing here?" The Nazi officer asked Melody.
"Well, I was off to this gay Gypsy bar mitzvah for the disabled, when I thought, 'Gosh, the Third Reich's a bit rubbish, I think I'll kill the Fuhrer," she answered, "Who's with me?"
"Shoot her," the Nazi officer ordered his soldiers as he walked behind them.
"No!" Rory said with fear as watched the soldiers fire at his daughter as he was standing in a hiding place as unbeknownst to everyone, Melody was hugging herself and smiling.
"Tip for you all...never shoot a girl while she's regenerating," Melody told the soldiers as she lifted her head head as they looked at her, confused on how she was still alive before she used her regeneration energy on the soldiers, throwing them backwards and knocking them unconscious as she laughed, "Ah! Now, that hit the spot." She then took a couple of machine guns and climbed onto a motorcycle, "Thanks, boys!" Amy and Jack then climbed down and joined Rory, who held her back, "Call me."
"What are you doing?" Amy asked her daughter.
"New body, new town. I'm going shopping!" Melody answered before riding off.
A soldier then rode through the gate behind them on a motorcycle with a sidecar attachment before stopping in front of Rory.
"Look, I know how this looks, but let me explain everything from the beginning," Rory said as he saw the soldier, reaching for his holster before Rory gave him a Nazi salute, "Heil!"
"Heil!" The soldier said, returning the salute before Rory punched the soldier, knocking him out as he then climbed onto the motorcycle's seat.
"Come on!" Jack ushered Amy as he sat in the motorcycle's sidecar's seat.
"Can you ride a motorbike, Rory?" Amy asked her husband.
"I expect so. It's that sort of day," Rory answered as he, Jack and Amy drove off.
"The Doctor and Rose both soon fell next to each other on the floor at the base of the TARDIS' console.
"I'm shutting down, Rose," the Doctor told his wife as he sat against the rail, "Going to need an interface. Voice interface."
"I had a feeling that you were going to do that, Theta," Rose told her husband.
"Come on, emergency," the Doctor muttered.
"Voice interface enabled," the TARDIS' interface said as a hologram of the Doctor and Rose's current incarnations appeared.
"Oh, no, no, no, no! Give us someone we like," the Doctor told the interface as it changed to Mickey from when they were dealing with the Daleks and the 27 planets in the Medusa Cascade, "Oh, thanks! Give us guilt!" The interface then changed to an image of Martha from when she travelled with them, "Also guilt!" Then it changed to Donna from when she travelled with them before the Doctor locked her memories away of them and the TARDIS from her brain, "More guilt. Come on, there must be someone left in the universe, me and Rose both haven't screwed up yet."
"Voice interface enabled," the Doctor and Rose both suddenly heard a very familiar Scottish voice of a young girl before they looked up and saw the interface taking on the image of Amy from when she was seven,
"Oh! Oh, Amelia Pond before we got it all wrong," the Doctor told the hologram of Amelia, "Our sweet little Amelia."
"Theta, that's not Amelia, that's the TARDIS interface," Rose told her husband
"Rose is correct, I am not Amelia Pond. I am a voice interface," the interface stated.
"Hey, let's run away and have adventures. Come along, Pond," the Doctor told the interface.
"I am not Amelia Pond," the interface stated, "I am a voice interface."
"You are so Scottish," the Doctor told the interface.
"Interface, how are we doing?" Rose asked the interface.
"Your systems have been contaminated by the poison of the Judas tree that is poisonous only to Time Lords and Time Ladies was put into perfume," the interface told them as the Doctor placed his hand under his right cheek, "You both will be dead in 32 minutes."
"OK, so, basically we'll regenerate, that's what you're saying?" The Doctor asked the interface.
"Regeneration disabled," the interface answered, "You will both be dead in 32 minutes."
"Unless we're cured, right?" Rose asked the interface.
"There is no cure," the interface answered, "You will both be dead in 32 minutes."
"Why do you keep saying that?" He asked the interface.
"Because you will both be dead in 32 minutes," the interface answered as the Doctor removed his hand from under his right cheek.
"You see, there you go again," the Doctor muttered, "Basically skipping 31 whole minutes when we're absolutely fine. Scottish, that's all I'm saying."
"You will both be fine for 31 minutes," the interface said, repeating itself, "You will both be dead in 32 minutes."
"Scotland's never conquered anywhere. Not even a Shetland. River needs us," the Doctor told the interface.
"She's only just beginning, we can't die now," Rose added.
"You both will not die now," the interface told them, "You both will die in 32 minutes."
"We're going out in the first round. Ringing any bells?" The Doctor asked before he and Rose both cried in pain as they fell face-down on the floor, next to each other, "OK, need something for the pain now. Come on, Amelia. It's me. Please."
"I am not Amelia Pond. I am a voice interface," the interface reminded him.
"Amelia, listen to me... me and Rose can both be brave for you but you have got to tell us how," the Doctor said, pleading with the TARDIS' voice interface.
"I am not Amelia Pond," the voice interface told him, "I am a voice interface."
"Amelia... Amelia, please…" the Doctor said pleading with her as he closed his eyes.
"Fish fingers and custard," they suddenly heard the voice interface say.
"What did you say?" The Doctor asked the voice interface, smiling, "Fish fingers and custard!" He then laughed, "Oh, Amelia Pond. Fish fingers and custard!" He then pushed himself off the floor and used the console to pull himself up as Rose did the same, "Fish... fingers... and... custard!" He then activated the TARDIS as it began to dematerialize.
Please review and if you're wondering the TARDIS doesn't even know about cutting a hand during a regeneration uses up a regeneration.
And should Jack stop travelling with the Doctor and Rose in the next Chapter to start up the events of Torchwood: Miracle Day?
