A few hours later Naruto found himself in his bathroom looking himself over one last time. He had discarded his earlier clothes in favor of some slim fitting black pants which were a lot more comfortable than his denim, along with a navy blue polo shirt and black shoes. Checking the time, his eyes widened, seeing that he'd spent more time than he thought. "Ah, Namikaze, correct?" He asked. Naruto wasn't given a chance to respond as the man continued. "You're listed as Ms Kawakami's plus one. This way please."
The blond followed the well dressed man to a table near the back of the restaurant but still directly in front of the window. The man pulled the chair out letting Naruto sit down before bowing and letting them know he'd be right back to take their orders.
"Thank you for accepting the invitation. I hope this place isn't too much." Kawakami said in an apologetic tone. Naruto looked at her before turning his attention to her attire. Much like her usual clothes she wore a yellow shirt under a relatively thin black cardigan along with a black version of her skirt.
Shooting her a small smile he shook his head. "Thank you for inviting me. You don't have to worry, this place is fine. In fact I'm actually pretty happy that you chose it."
"Why's that?"
"I wouldn't consider this place expensive but it certainly isn't cheap. Up until a few days ago, I remember you constantly having heat up dishes at your place and the cheapest drinks. The fact that we're here tells me your financial situation has definitely improved now that you've got the Takase's off your back and I couldn't be happier for you." The sincerity in his voice was enough to lightly stain the woman's cheeks a light pink.
She took a sip of the water that had been placed on the table when she'd arrived and tried to clear her throat.

"I know you're good with your money management, imagine what your account will look like now that you don't have those leeches taking all of your money." He replied. "Anyway that's enough about them, they're in the past. Tell me what you plan to do now."
Kawakami put a finger up to her chin in a way that Naruto couldn't help but find cute and hummed lightly. "I still plan to continue teaching. Even though it was more stressful due to my predicament, it's still something I take pride in. Helping kids learn and figure out what to do in life is priceless."
"That's admirable." He replied honestly. "I do have a question for you though."
She tilted her head slightly and told him to continue.
"Now that you're done taking all of those side jobs, do I need to look for a new sitter for Hajime?"
Kawakami shook her head. "No, of course not. It's true I quit all my other jobs but I owe you more than I could ever repay. He's a little sweetheart, I don't mind continuing. Besides, it'll help me raise money for a new place."
That caught Naruto's attention and he perked up. "So you're taking my advice? I can get you in touch with one of my friends. We can probably get you a nice discount on a place in a nice area."

Their conversation was interrupted by the return of the waiter who asked if they were ready to order. The woman shook her head. "Nothing like what you described. I focused on my studies and didn't really have much of a social life." She replied with a sigh. "Even my hobbies are boring. I mean, what woman likes to fish?"
Naruto raised an eyebrow. "You like fishing?" She nodded, ready to hear the jokes, only for them to never come. "I tried that once, I caught a fish smaller than my pinky after four hours and didn't do it after that. I think it's cool that you enjoy it though, hobbies are for your enjoyment."
The woman filled up their cups once more and raised her glass in the air. He smiled and lightly tapped his glass with hers before taking another sip. He didn't know what to expect when he agreed to have dinner but he would consider the night a success. Now that she was free from her burdens, she had more life in her.
She was funny, smart, driven, and spoke her mind which he appreciated. In the last hour he'd learned more about her than he'd known.
