Lance and Stella stared eye to eye. Her breathing went shallow, afraid to say something. Lance shot daggers at her, waiting for her response and trying so hard to keep cool. Stella took a step closer towards him.
"Lance, I-"
"Why were you out with Baron?" He cut her off.
"You wouldn't go with me to that club opening. He offered to so i took it."
"So if I say no to you you're going to go straight to Baron?? Nice, Stella. Real nice." He went to leave, but Stella grabbed his wrist to stop him. He turned to her, only to see her tear up.
"I just wanted to go have fun, Lance. I wanted to have fun with you, but you didn't want to go. My only way to go over there was if Baron went with me. Everyone seems to forget I have powers to protect me from anything." She choked out.
Lance softened his glare at her. He sighed and went to hug her, which she returned. He tightened his grip around her.
"Don't ever do that again." He growled.
"I won't." She said.
He let go to see she had already transformed into her nightgown. She went to her bed and looked back at him.
"Do you want to sleep in here tonight ?" She asked
Lance turned to a new shade of red. Stella laughed a little.
"Oh come on. It's not the first time we've slept together."
"I- I know. But-"
"But nothing. Shut up and get into the bed." Stella demanded. Lance slowly climbed in and Stella laid on his bare chest. She rubbed it gently.
"I'm sorry for getting angry, Stella. I'm just afraid of him taking you away from me."
"It's okay. I understand." She raised her head to face him.
" I'm sorry too. For going out with him tonight."
Lance cupped her face.
"Apology accepted." He said before bringing her closer to kiss her. She returned it.
Lance pulled away with a small smile. "Now get some sleep my Sunflower."
"Alright." She went back to lay on his chest.
"Goodnight, Lance."
"Goodnight, Stella."
7 AM
He woke up to her still in his arms. He sighed, staring at the fairy with content. She was the reason he kept going. After his father went through the rift gate, he didn't feel a need to, until she came, the literal sunshine in his life. He was grateful to have her.
His admiration turned to disgust when he realized she drooled on him. He tried to move her head so he can wipe the drool off with the blanket, but failed, as he had woken her up.
"Huh? Wha? Oh...morning." She gave him a sleepy smile.
"Good morning to you slobbermouth. "He chuckled. She gave him a weird look till she looked down at the puddle on his chest. She blushed tremendously.
"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry!" She used her sun powers to wipe away the mess.
"It's ok. You were pretty knocked out. "
"What time is it?"
"7AM."
"Aughh."she rolled over back to the covers.
"Come on, Stella. It's Saturday. What do you wanna do today?"
"Sleep." She yawned.
"Lets go do something."
"Sleep." She repeated
"You wouldn't be so tired if you didn't go out last night."
"It was important for me to be there."
He rolled his eyes. "Alright ms. Prissy pants, how about this?" He laid his head on her shoulder, spooning her. "We lay here for another hour, then we can go train a bit, you and me, and then tonight I'll take you out to make up for last night.
"What about baron?"
"Octus will be here to keep and eye on him. Sound good?"
He felt her nod her head.
"Ok then." He held her closer, and the two went back to sleep.
His watch went off, signaling them to get up. Stella sat up, stretching, yawning, still wanting to sleep in. Lance kissed her cheek gently, leaving her blushing.
"I'm going to go get ready." She smiled at him leaving her room, as she stood up to head downstairs. It wouldn't take long for her to get ready, her training outfit already shrunk in her hand to change into instantly. Gliding into the kitchen, she swiftly got out a banana and granola bar to munch on real quick.
"Well well, someone is happy from last night." She heard someone say. It was baron, leaning on the counter and smiling.
"Last night was fun, but that's not why I'm happy."
He gave her a puzzled look. "Then what is?"
"Lance is taking me out today. I won't be here long."
"What?! What about him not wanting to go anywhere last night?"
"He's making up for it. Why does it matter ?"
"Because he can't just be a bipolar wuss about taking someone out!"
Stella slammed her hands on the counter, hands glowing slightly. Her hair was moving as her magic amplified.
"Lance is MY boyfriend. It's HIS choice to wanna go out or not. And people like YOU have no right to say such things. Now stop talking about him that way unless want your nose melted off. Do I make myself clear?"
Baron sighed, Bowing slightly. "Yes , Princess."
Her magic went away at that remark. "Good."
"I'm sorry for pushing it."
"It's alright. Just don't let it happen again. "
He nodded. She went back to eating while he stayed and watched her, when lance came in, wearing gray sweats and a plain black tee.
"Ready stell?"
"Yeah hold up. " she crumbled her outfit in her hands as she raised it over herself. The dust fell on her, assembling itself onto her skin to form a bigger version of the outfit.
It was an olive green romper, with brown boots and orange scarf to go along with it. Her hair was pulled up into a ponytail , not that it would help much, as her hair still fell to her hips. The two Boys stared at her, jaws dropped. Stella giggled, walking over to drag lance out the back door. As soon as the door shut, baron scowled and hit the counter, hard. Whipping out his watch he contacted Katy.
I need you to do something
Can it wait?
No. I need you to spell Lance, too.
"Why?
Because she forgives him super easily. They actually kiss and makeup unlike someone I know.
I'm gonna ignore that last statement. Still don't understand why you need me.
If you make him a huge jerk to her, it'll be easier to strain the relationship. And when she falls for me, he'll think it's his fault. It'll crush him.
I see where you're getting at. Where is he now?
He's training with her. Don't know when they'll be back.
No worries. I can handle this.
He looked away from his watch, still pondering on how this mission will go. How he plans to get rid of his crush. The girl of his dreams. But more importantly, how to get rid of the dark headed hoodlum she's so fond of.
"She'll be mine. She has to be." He muttered. He returned to his makeshift bed in the living room and waited.
