Friday night
Stella was getting ready for her date with baron. She dawned a green dress with pink fur trimming the bottom and collar with matching boots. She pulled her bangs back and started working on her makeup. She was barely putting on her lipstick, when she heard pebbles hitting her window. She saw baron, waiting for her. Before she left, Stella made sure the door to her room was locked, and that there was another hologram in her bed. When everything was ready, she floated out the window and right next to baron. He wore black jeans and a red long sleeved shirt, all buttoned up. He gave her a devilish grin.
"Good evening, beautiful."
"Hey, baron. Ready to go?"
"Of course."
Stella smiled, opening a portal underneath them, this time baron was prepared and landed on his feet. He took her hand and led her to the club once again. They both smiled at each other as they walked in.
They danced in each others arms for hours. Baron had swept her off her feet many times, Stella blushing each time. Around midnight they decided to take a break, and headed to the bar. They chatted and laughed, truly enjoying each other's company. It all came to an end when someone familiar walked up to them. Mike Chan and Shang approached them with a flirty look on their faces.
"Hello, Stella. You look mighty fine tonight." Said Shang, while getting close beside her, baron looking irritated at him.
"Uh, thanks."
" Where's baby boy? Why are you here with Pinocchio?" Asked Chan
"None of your business. We're just here to have a good time, now leave us alone." She snapped. Shang and Chan looked at each other and smirked.
"Alright Alright. Well go. See you around, Stella." Chan said, and he walked away.
Both stella and baron looked confused before shrugging it off and focused back on their drinks. The next thing baron knew, he saw Stella sprint over to the two, drink in hand. She spun Shang around and poured it into his face. The crowd gasped and Shang sputtered out the drink.
"YOU THINK ITS OK TO TRY DRUGGING WOMEN?!"
"I don't know what you're talking about, bitch." He growled.
"Oh really?! The half dissolved pill on your shoulder says otherwise!" She pointed at it, and the crowd started whispering to one another.
"It was gonna help loosen you up. It's not a roofie."
"Cut the crap, Shang! I'm not clueless about the drugs on earth. You can't fool me!" She slapped him at that point. Oooos from the crowd echoed through the dance floor. Shang looked at her, like he was gonna kill her.
"Fuck you, bitch." He snapped and grabbed her by the neck, picking her up and choking her, but Stella quickly kicked him in the gut to get out of his grip. Baron was already getting in front of her and punched Shang in the jaw, which he recovered from fast . Shang took a swing, but baron caught it and elbowed into his elbow, an audible snap is heard. Before Shang could scream baron pushed the broken arm into his jaw and knees him in the face, breaking both his teeth and his hand. Chan went for him, but Baron was two steps ahead. He pushed Shang into his chest and plummeted Shangs head into Chan's face. Chan ducked away to try to tackle baron, only to get an elbow in the back of the neck, instant KO. The crowd cheered while the bouncers escorted Stella and Baron out. They both laughed as they walked away from the building.
"You really showed him, Baron!" Stella chirped
"No one should be messing with you like that. Ever. Hopefully they learned their lesson."
"I doubt it." She pauses to open a portal back to their house. She sighed and turned to him.
"Well, thanks for taking me back. I'm pretty sure we're banned from that place, though."
"It's not a problem. I can always find another place to take you."
"So there's gonna be a next time?" Stella smirked
"I am your bodyguard. I go where you go."
"You're right." Stella looked at him, and noticed a stray hair sticking out. She smoothed it out and slid her hand down to his chin. He smiled down at her.
"Goodnight, Baron." She said as she floated to her window.
Baron waved at her goodbye. And headed inside. He plopped into bed with a happy mind.
Morning came, and Stella woke up to knocks at the door, much to her dismay, as she forgot to unlock it when she got home. She begrudgingly got up to open the door, to reveal a concerned Lance standing over her.
"Why do you have your door locked?"
"Because I can?" She yawned.
"There's no reason to do it."
"Why you being so controlling about what I do?"
"I'm not. I'm just saying."
"What do you want, Lance?" Stella said, looking pissed he woke her up.
He gave her an annoyed look.
"I wanted to ask if you wanted to go out again tonight."
"Where?"
"That promenade place people at school talk about."
"You mean downtown Sherman? I guess."
A small smile grew on Lance's face. "Great. Be ready at 7."
"Ok." She said in a monotone voice before shutting the door on him. Lance looked at the door concerned, but shook it off to get ready for their date.
6:45 PM
"You and Lance are going out tonight? That's great!" Chirped Ilana from outside of stellas closet, who was getting ready.
"I wouldn't think much of it."
"I would! You two have been close for years! It's great that you guys are bonding tonight."
Stella walked out, sporting a simple black leather dress with matching headbands and boots.
"You've seen how he's been acting. I don't feel like dealing with it right now. Doesn't help either having Baron here, and both are at each other's necks!"
"This will be the perfect opportunity to talk about it then!" Ilana chirped. She glanced in her closet and saw a green floral top with blue cuffs. She grabbed it.
"Can I borrow this for monday?" She asked
"Knock yourself out." Stella said while brushing her hair. Ilana squealed and walked out of her room.
"Good luck, Stella!"
Stella sighed and set her brush down to bury her face in her hands. She didn't know what to do. She loved Lance. Loved him for years, but now, things are different. Ever since that night when he snapped, she hasn't felt the same at all for him. Maybe it'll be better to just, end it with him, till she can figure out what or who she wants.
"Stella, are you ready?" Lance asked in the doorway. Stella looked over at him. He wore a dark blue collared shirt with his regular black jeans and boots. She gave him a small courtesy smile.
"Yes." She got up to grab his hand, and he led her to his car, getting her in first, before driving off to their date. He drove her to one of the fanciest restaurants in Sherman, now that money wasn't an issue for him due to Octus, he could actually do something spectacular for her. He smiled at her before getting her out the car and into the restaurant.
"I have a reservation for Lunis. " He told them host. The host lead them to a booth close to the front, as Lance remembered Stella prefers it that way so everyone could look at her beauty.
"You didn't have to do all this, Lance."
"I've been a jerk for the last week. I wanted to try making it up to you again."
"At least you admitted it."
"Of course." Lance rested a hand on hers, and she took it, smiling at him.
"I don't want to do anything that could strain our relationship." He explained. He rubbed his thumb gently on her hand. She smiled at him. They kept talking, laughing about old memories till the waitress finally came and took their orders. Stella looked over at Lance, who was just admiring her. She leaned over the table, and so did he, and they kissed. A gentle one.
"I'm having a great time tonight, Lance." Stella purred.
"I'm glad. I hope this means we can move past everything that happened."
Stella walked to his side, scooting closer to him.
"Definitely." She felt happy with him again, and that itself made her even happier. Lance leaned in to kiss her again, when they were interrupted by the red headed waitress spilling an entire plate of spaghetti onto lance. They both gasped and groaned at the mess.
"What's you're problem?!" Snapped Lance.
"Oh I'm so sorry! Here let me help you clean up!" She chirped and quickly dragged Lance to the back of the restaurant, leaving a puzzled Stella. 15 minutes passed, and she was growing impatient. After 20 minutes, she stormed to where the waitress dragged lance to, but she couldn't find them. She went all the way outside, hearing giggling and kissing noises. Her heart sunk as she saw Lance in a very heated make-out session with the waitress. Hands on hips and back of the neck, with Lance's hands slowly creeping down to her rear. The waitress started to wrap a leg around his waist. She used her magic to push the waitress off of him, to Lance's surprised. He shook his head and looked at her confused.
"What's going on? Why are we out here?"
"You lead me out here after I helped get the stains out to "thank me" don't act like you forgot! Your sister here can take it." The waitress explained while getting up to wrap around his neck. He pushed her off of him, completely disgusted.
"Get off of me! That's my girlfriend!"
"Ex girlfriend." Stella growled. Lances face dropped, his heart shattering into a million pieces.
"W-What?"
"We're through, Lance." She muttered and walked away from the scene with tears falling down her face.
"Stella!" Lance ran to her, only for the waitress to hold him back.
"Let her go. I can be your new girlfriend."
"Don't touch me!" He pushed her off to run after Stella, who was already deep within the alleyway.
"Stella, wait let me explain!" Lance huffed out. He stopped her in her tracks and grabbed her shoulders gently.
"You've said enough. Let go."
"No! I'm not done with this."
"You've been a jerk to me for the last two weeks and you came out here to be with some other girl?? I'm DONE, Lance."
"No..no." Lance said, voice breaking. Tears were falling now, from both of them. He grabbed her face to kiss her, but she pushed back.
"I can't. " Her feet started to glow as a portal opened beneath her. Lances eyes widened as she fell out of his arms. He punched the brick wall.
Meanwhile, the rejected waitress morphed back into Katy. She took out her phone and called Baron back at the Lunis residence.
"They're broken up. I saw a light at the end of alley, so she most likely teleported back to your house. Time to sweeten the deal."
"Got it. Thank you Katy."
"I'll miss you while you're playing House with that pixie."
"I know. Goodbye." Baron set his watch down and mustered up all his confidence to swoon the girl of his dreams.
"Finally, Stella. You'll be mine." Baron muttered . He headed upstairs to the fairy's room.
