ash and the goup had been walking for days and many things had happened to them since they met daniel. Daniel had caught a nidoran and a cubone. ash himself had caught a charmander bulbasaur and squirtle and now after spending days on the road they finally made it to amber town.

"alright we're finally here Amber town at last!" daniel shouted in excitement Dour barked happily along with him.

so were do you go to sign up for the pokemon contest?" misty said looking at all the big buildings around them. daniel froze as he had no idea where the contest hall was. before he could start sulking brock pulled out his trusty guide book.

"its says here the contest hall is near the Amber town pokemon center." he explained. ash grinned

"sweet then we can rest our feet and pokemon while daniel signs up for the pokemon contest come on guys." ash said as he ran ahead.

"hey ash wait for me!" daniel shouted as he and dour chased after ash and pikachu. misty and brock sighed before chasing after them

"hold up you two do you even know where the pokemon center is?" misty shouted after them. the group managed to find the pokemon center and the contest hall. they headed in and saw a lot of trainors there with their pokemon daniel walked up to the front desk and signed up once he was register they were about to head to the pokemon center when dour sniffed the air.

"whats up buddy?" daniel asked his houndour as it was drawn over to a resting ivysaur a pink mist was coming out of the flower on its back.

"uh oh hey dour snap out of it buddy i think thats sweet scent." Daniel said but dour wouldnt listen and stuck his head in the flower on ivysaurs back. daniel was about to move but a voice called out.

"Ivysaur stop it now" the ivysaur immedialty stopped realisng the pink pollen and dour snapped out of it daniel then picked up his pokemon.

"i apologize for that ivysaur tends to release sweet scent as he sleeps." a guy with wearing a black jacket and gray pants says.

"no no its ok dour is fine so no harm done." daniel says looking at the guy.

"by the way my names daniel and this houndour is my buddy dour. oh and these are my friends Ash, Misty, and Brock" he said introducing himeself

"I'm nathen nice to meet you everyone." he said with a smile the group went to sit down at one of the tables.

"so Nathen are you competing in the pokemon contest?" brock asked. Nathen then smiled and nodded.

"yep this will by my sixth contest my ivysaur and I are going to win this one." he said surprising the group.

"wait hold on do you have any ribbons then." misty asked noticing how nervous daniel was getting. Nathen grinned and showed them his green ribbon case wich had 2 ribbons in it. daniel the slumped into his seat and dour whined a bit.

"uhm is something wrong?" nathen asked as he and ivysaur looked at the two. ash just chuckled nervously

"well you see Daniel has only been in one contest and it didnt go all that well." brock explained nathen nodded.

"oh i know all about that he had to drop out on the first stage right." he said. Daniel paled.

"How do you know that?" he asked nathen looked to the side and sighed.

"to be honest daniel it was on tv a lot of coordinaters saw and many think you dont have what it takes to be a coordinater. I mean your houndour got such bad stage fright that you couldnt even perform the last time how well do you think you can do now honestly." he said dnaiel clenched his fist.

"well im trying my best it was our firts contest and we were new to the whole performing thing but this time will be different! right Dour!" daniel said confidently his houndour barked in agreement. Nathen looked surprised but then smiled.

"spoken like a true trainer honestly i wanted to see you in person after i saw you perform in Ceruleon city. i saw how instead of trying to force your houndour to perform you took its fear into consideration and dropped out instead of traumatizing your pokemon. that takes a lot of guts but im gonna warn you many coordinators are gonna give you a hard time. especiialy when you compete against them because of how badly your first contest went. so tell do you have any other pokemon who can perform?" he asked daniel nodded.

"yeah Daniel has caught a nidoran and a cubone and both are pretty good pokemon." brock said. nathan thought for a moment.

"ok lets go outside so i can see your pokemon im gonna help you out daniel." he said. heading outside daniel called out his cubone and nidoran.

"the cubones name is Skull and the nidorans name is Toxica." daniel said with a smile.

"nameing your pokemon huh not a lot of trainors do that why dont i show you my pokemon." Nathen said throwing two pokeballs into the air. and out came a butterfree and a electabuzz. misty backed away at the sight of butterfree

"well i gotta say your pokemon look healthy but what are their attacks?" he asked daniel pulled out his pokedex to double check. his eyes widend when he saw what his cubone could do.

"i know Toxica can use poison sting, double kick, horn attack, attract and toxic spikes. my cubone Skull can use bonemorang, boneclub, dig, skull bash, thunder punch, sandstorm and huh?" he said he reread the pokedex description

"what is it is something worng?" nathen asked before daniel coudl say anthing a net came out of nowhere and caught all his pokemon except Skull who managed to get out of the way in time.

"hey no come back!" daniel shouted see his pokemon all taken he then heard a familer laugh and groaned.

"oh no not again." he groaned as team rocket appeared and did their motto.

"will you guys leave us alone give us back our pokemon!" daniel shouted.

"dont worry daniel pidgeoto should be able to get them back!" ash said calling out pidgeoto

"pop that balloon hurry!" ash said pidgeoto then flew up to the balloon and popped a whole in it. the group ran towards the pokemon but team rocket cut them off.

"no way are we giving up these pokemon come on out ekans!: Jesse shouted.

"Koffin come on out!" james shouted the two released their pokemon to battle.

"Ash lets take them out together go SKull use boneclub on ekans!" daniel shouted Skull swung its bone club at ekans and hit it hard.

"oh yeah ya twerp ekans knock that bone out of cubones hand now!" jesse commanded. ekans headbutt cubone and knocked the clube out of its hands.

Uh oh!" daniel shouted pikachu tried to get to cubone but was having a rough time with koffin. team rocket seemed to be trying their best for once. daniel was thing at what to do sandstorm would hurt pikachu as well and Skull couldnt use boneclub or bonemerang with out its club he then remember one of cubones other attacks that might help.

"Skull quick use bubble beam!" he shouted surprising everyone as cubone fired glowing blue bubbles from its mouth at ekans knocking it into koffin.

"All right Ash knows your chance!" Daniel called out Ash nodded.

"Pikachu thundershock attack!" He shouts Pikachu shocks team rocket and sent them flying.

"Noooo! We were so close that time." Jesse wailed as they soared

"Well there's one thing we never fail at." James said.

"Do we have to say it?" Meowth asked

"WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN" they shouted. Daniel and the others got the pokemon out of the net.

"Good to see you guys safe and sound." Daniel said smiling

"Who would've thought your cubone can use bubblebeam that's amazing." Nathen said

"Yeah I might use it in the contest." Daniel said smiling

"Looks like Daniel got his confidence back." Ash said to misty and Brock.

"That's good he will need a clear head to win the pokemon contest." Brock said

Seems everything is going well but can Daniel win the amber town Pokemon contest who knows. We will find out in the next episode of pokemon advanced chronicles.
