Around dawn, Yusuke, Kuwabara, Nezuko, and Botan were continuing the mission to rescue Yukina to take down Tarukane's pesky demons that were out to stop them. Once they were able to find the mansion that's when they were met up with one demon blocking their way. Miyuki confronts the gang and challenges them to about. Kuwabara takes it easy on her since he's a gentleman (or a playboy) claiming he couldn't hurt girls. Yusuke removes the bag he was carrying Nezuko in as he took a step forward narrowing over at Miyuki with a strong glare.
"I'll fight you," Yusuke said.
"Urameshi, are you serious?" Kuwabara was deadpanned to hear his friend stepping in to fight a WOMAN.
"She's a fighter and she's trying to get in our way. I don't care if she's a girl or baby or somebody's grandmother. I'll still knock her out." Yusuke says in an assertive tone.
"Oh, I love your style." Miyuki grinned. "It's an equal playing field and anything goes!"
"Well let me check first to make sure," Yusuke said getting in a fighting position.
Miyuki attacks, and so does Yusuke. Miyuki uses a rope and strangles Yusuke off, but Yusuke uses this for his own advantage and he bounces up and nails Miyuki with a punch right on her chest. Kuwabara gets enraged at how Yusuke treats a girl.
"Urameshi! Why did you hit her in the ta-tas!" Kuwabara exclaimed.
However, Nezuko who crawled out of her bag noticed that Yusuke was in danger. So, fires back with a powerful roundhouse kick right into her chest again and sends her smashing to the wall. As Miyuki growled at the girl after Nezuko rescued Yusuke she began to use her string of a whip to fight against Nezuko. As Nezuko catches it with no issue to tug Miyuki and drew a hard punch at the girl's face before knocking her out cold.
"Nezuko!" Kuwabara shouted.
"Relax Kuwabara she did the right thing. I noticed something after touching this demon. It turns out our Mrs. is actually a Mr." Yusuke explained.
Yusuke gropes Miyuki's chest and groin and reveals she is transgender. Kuwabara gets confused and he tries checking out Miyuki's private body parts, but Botan hits him in the head for being so perverted. They weren't going to waste any more time dilly-dagging as they proceeded with the mission.
Kuwabara suddenly pushes Yusuke away and barely avoids an attack by another enemy. it hits the band he tied in his head with the "I love Yukina" writing. It turns out another one of Tarukane's men has faced them: Inmaki. He has some cloaking skills and he manages to slash Yusuke in his back with his wolverine-like claws. Since they can't see him because his cloaked Yusuke tries to escape... then turns in the corner. Just then Kuwabara gives him the signal and Yusuke unleashes his spirit shotgun attack! Boom it hits Inmaki and knocks him out. Seems they deliberately tried to escape so that Inmaki will follow them as they lure him into a setup. They continue but Botan suddenly gets caught by another monster - It's Gokumonki, another one of Tarukane's henchmen. He uses Botan as a human shield so Yusuke and Kuwabara can't use their attacks, but Botan manages to break out and the combined force of Yusuke and Kuwabara's flying kick sends Gokumonki flying.
"Well, that takes care of that." Yusuke grinned.
Kuwabara nodded as he turned to see Nezuko wasn't there as he saw Botan holding her bag.
"Where did Nezuko go?" Kuwabara inquired.
"Looks like she went ahead without us. Which means we should follow after her too!" Yusuke, Kuwabara, and Botan continuously went on to search for Yukina in hopes to catch up with Nezuko.
While the others were heading straight to where Yukina was held captive. they have to pass their last test first, and that is a showdown with the Toguro brothers. Kuwabara seems to underestimate Toguro's strength and starts to charge, but Yusuke stops him saying he feels something powerful within him. And indeed there is, as Elder Toguro changes his body into the form of a sword, and Younger Toguro starts to charge up, and the immense power Toguro displays blow Yusuke off his feet, and before they know it Toguro charges onto them then knocks Yusuke out, and charges for Kuwabara. Kuwabara unleashes his Spirit Sword to try and block Toguro's sword, but it's too powerful and it blows him off and smashes him to the wall. Yusuke sneaks from the side and fires his Spirit Gun but Toguro was able to jump and avoid it, but Yusuke follows with his spirit shotgun attack and nails Toguro, however, he uses a barrier to protect him from Yusuke's attack and counters with a punch that sent Yusuke flying, making them feel like their powers don't stand a chance against a monster like him.
Yusuke thinks of a plan and charges for Toguro, but quickly sidesteps and fires a full-powered spirit right in front of Toguro's face. Despite this though, Toguro remains unharmed. It appears that Elder Toguro changed from sword to shield and blocked Yusuke's spirit gun. Toguro smashes Yusuke with a punch and he goes down. Somehow, with his spirit energy, Kuwabara feels what Yukina had gone through, the torture she got when she was being forced to cry by Tarukane for his own personal needs, the loss of her loved ones, and with this, he gets his inspiration and gets reenergized. He unleashes his spirit sword and then charges for Tarukane. He wants to punish Tarukane for making Yukina suffer, but just then Toguro pulls him back and kicks him in the gut.
Meanwhile, Nezuko ran to go search for Yukina, and when she turned the corner to see one of the rooms had a silver door at the end. She knew that it had to be locked, so she kicked it open causing the men, Tarukane, and Yukina to turn to meet their gaze on Nezuko.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Tarukane demanded.
Nezuko didn't draw his attention to him or the men as she looked over at the scared ice maiden being held in two men's grasp. It wasn't before long she saw her friends were below fighting against two other strong demons as she felt one of the human men trying to harm her. Nezuko jabbed one of the men to the side and then more started to come after her, but she took care of them. She wasn't supposed to hurt a human, but she had to protect Yukina because these were no good men. She then starts springing towards Yukina until one man tries to grab her as they seemed to have scratched her forehead making her wince in pain. Shen then growled to kick the man away as she grabbed Yukina and held her protectively in her arms glaring at the men and Tarukane.
The man glared over at Nezuko as she head over to Yukina, but then one of the men grabbed her by the hair. She shoved them away trying not to hurt any of them as she reached over to Yukina to hold her in her arms protectively. Nezuko had a dangerous look in her eyes glaring coldly at the cold-hearted men and their leader letting out a strong snarl.
Down below through the glass window, the fight continues as Yusuke and Kuwabara need to get rid of Toguro first because that's the only choice left, but they don't stand a chance. However Kuwabara thinks of a plan that if they could just land in a sneak attack they could win the battle, so he decides to ask for Yusuke's help. Once again Kuwabara charges with his spirit sword and Toguro is ready to anticipate the attack. However Yusuke fires his spirit gun and it hits Kuwabara, doubling his speed with this force, surprising Toguro, and unable to anticipate this sudden burst of speed he gets stabbed hard by Kuwabara's spirit sword, and the game is over.
"Now Sakashta! Move to plan B! Start the chopper and make Yukina's with us-bring that girl too! Nobody's gonna shut down Gonzou Tarukane!" Tarukane said.
Just then, Hiei appeared standing in the doorway as Nezuko held onto Yukina protectively. Hiei runs into the room to take out the men in an instant as he stood in front of the girls protectively.
"The game's over. You ugly fool." Hiei spat. "I saw the Talisman Cards hung in the tower. That explains why I couldn't find her with my Jagan Eye. But, you can't run from death forever."
Tarukane trembles and began to sweat not knowing what to do. He decided to speak up, "Wait! I don't know who the hell you are. But if it's money you're after. We can talk! Listen here. That broad behind you makes jewels you wouldn't even believe! I could pump millions from her!"
That's when Hiei felt rage flow through him when he said that and he threw a hard punch at the greedy bastard. He stumbles backward lying against the glass window and he continued punching him. Disgusting swine that Hiei would put it and he could hear the others from down below telling him to stop.
"They're just afraid of justice." Hiei sneered as he lifted Tarukane's neck collar. When he was ready to throw a punch at Tarukane Yukina jumps out of Nezuko's arms to stop him.
"No! Please. No more. I beg of you! Yukina begged.
"Are you crazy?! Is this not the man who tormented you and made you his slave?" Hiei implied.
"He is, I have to bear that. But taking his life cant' wash away all that he's done to me. It will only bring more pain. Just more nightmares." Yukina said as her eyes began to water and mess with her vision.
Nezuko sat there listening to Yukina begging her "brother" not to harm Tarukane. She had to agree, hurting and ending his life brings more pain. That's why she didn't want to continue any further to kill the man that was a human, but he must be reasoned with his crimes.
"Please no more! I can't take it!" Yukina pleaded as her tears began to turn into pearls making Hiei ease up a little to wash away all of the anger.
"Understood, I won't make you cry. He's too worthless for that." Hiei said releasing the man from his grip and looked down at the ground.
"How can I ever thank you?" Yukina asked wearing a small line smile.
He didn't say anything afterward, he was more likely happy to save his sister and that's all that matters.
"You seem familiar." She spoke out of term as Hiei gasp. "But I'm not sure why. Who are you?"
"No one...Just a member of the team." Hiei replied flatly.
"Oh no! I forgot about them!" She exclaimed.
Hiei watches Yukina leave the room to rush down to help the others as he heard a low growl when he remembered that Nezuko was in the room. Kurama happened to be there too since he came all this way to help them rescue Hiei's sister.
"Nezuko?" Hiei called out her name only to see that there was a huge hole in the wall. He furrowed his eyebrows as he walked over crouching to peek inside of the darkness to see Nezuko hugging her knees together close to her chest. She let out a shaky growl and she wore a sad expression on her face. Kurama knelt to see why she was hiding due to the broad daylight.
"She's doesn't look very happy. There is too much light in the room," Kurama said.
Hiei merely nodded, "I don't have a bag to carry her in. But she can hide under the cloak to shield her."
As Hiei removed his cloak he wore a white t-shirt and black pants with combat boots as Nezuko looks at him curiously.
"Nezuko, here." Hiei handed her the cloak as she took it from him to slip it over her head as she slowly crawls out from the hole.
Hiei and Kurama helped her out as they made sure that the cloak is heavy enough to cover her up. She was scared to step out from the sun, but Nezuko was thankful for their support that she needed their help for this one. When they were all outside Yukina was glad to see her saviors at last for rescuing her from those awful humans even though she knew that there were some good ones.
Yukina approached over to where Nezuko stood in between Hiei and Kurama as she warmly smiled at the girl since they were the same height. Nezuko stares at the blue-haired girl that had the same complexion and facial shape as Hiei's.
"I want to thank you for protecting me back there. I never got your name." Yukina said.
"Mmh.." Nezuko replied.
"Her name is Nezuko," Kurama spoke up to make the introduction much easier because Nezuko couldn't talk with the muzzle in her mouth.
"Ah, Nezuko. That's a lovely name." Yukina smiled. "I'm very grateful to you for doing what you did back there."
Nezuko took the moment to analyze Yukina as she visioned her younger sister smiling at her. All she did to Yukina was to give her a head pat making the ice maiden smile at the warm touch of the girl demon.
"That's her way of saying you're welcome." Kurama chuckled.
Yukina nodded, "Understood. Thank you, Nezuko." The ice maiden retreats to the other saviors as Kurama faced Hiei sending him a nod to take his leave. When he left Nezuko and Hiei were alone watching the others get along with Yukina.
Hiei narrowed his eyes over the humans and ferry girl, 'They were actually helping Yukina be free from those pesky humans. I thank them for helping her since they did that had to be done.' He thought as his eyes glanced down at Nezuko furrowing his eyebrows when he remembered the three scratch marks on her forehead.
'Even Nezuko fought dangerously to get herself injured. Yet, when I saw her face while she was protecting Yukina. She looked more protective while glaring at the humans hugging Yukina to assure her that she was safe and that they won't take her away.' He deeply thought. He shoved a hand in his pocket feeling some inside as he pulled it out to reveal a single flower almost losing its petals.
The event that happened last night, Hiei remembered Nezuko handing him the flower to give to his sister as "thank you" to save her. When he realized he wasn't there to save her-only to save two girls that were protecting each other by those horrible scumbags. He realized that Nezuko deserved the flower after what she went through to save Yukina with the help of their teammates.
"Here, Nezuko." Hiei held out the flower as Nezuko turned her body halfway to see the flower he was holding. His gaze was not meeting hers and she could see a light pink blush forming on Hiei's cheeks. "You deserve this flower more than Yukina. I didn't save her only to take out the men, but you protected the others causing yourself to get injured."
This was a little surprising for Nezuko to receive the flower she gave to Hiei last night that he was supposed to give to his sister. She knew that he was only doing this to thank her for doing what she had to do.
"It's a thank you. I appreciate you for protecting my sister back there." Hiei said to the girl as her eyes glistened. Nezuko stood on her toes to hug Hiei around his neck as he was surprised by her actions but returns the hug only to make sure that the cloak was covering her body all the way.
"Mmm!" Nezuko responded before releasing her grip away from Hiei as he tried to hide his blush.
'I guess she was trying to say thank you back to me.' Hiei thought forming a small smile on his lips.
Yusuke approached over to the two, "We better take Yukina back to her world."
"Hn, I know where to take her," Hiei said.
"You happen to have a map with you?" Yusuke inquired.
"No. I will just show you where Yukina lives." Hiei replied.
Yusuke merely nodded when he noticed that Nezuko was gone out of their sight again.
"Where did Nezuko go?" Yusuke asked.
Hiei looked over to see that she wasn't around them anymore, but when they saw the bag near the shady tree. They look to see Nezuko was already inside of the bag with the cloak on top to keep her body blocked from the sunlight to make sure that it was dark.
'She isn't used to sunlight to be on her body. Maybe there might be a way to help her get out of the sun.' Hiei thought as he stared into Nezuko's eyes that were showing a little empathy in those eyes that he knew that she wanted to be out more. Although, she couldn't do it in the day, at around night she could.
"Well, we might as well get home too. Mission accomplish." Yusuke says as he walked over to pick up the bag to put it on his back to carry Nezuko. He then took the cloak and handed it back to Hiei as they were going to return Yukina to her home that was 'once' Hiei's birthplace before his life changed.
"Hey," Yusuke called over to Hiei who glanced over at him in the corner of his eye. "Thanks for being a part of the team."
There was no response coming from Hiei as he looked away from the Detective forming a small grin.
Kuwabara is bummed because Yukina had to return to the Ice World in which she previously resided. Yusuke asks Hiei why he doesn't tell her that he's her brother. Hiei explains that he's a convicted felon, and they're siblings through father only, so he feels she'd be better off not knowing. Yusuke asks him if the reason he got the Jagan Eye was to keep constant watch over her and Hiei doesn't answer.
