Just as Nezuko took her nap after getting her energy back, she returned into the living room to see her friends were all sitting around at the couch together laughing as she noticed a blue creature sitting on Yusuke's head.
"I didn't think you were so adorable, Urameshi." Kuwabara teased. Yusuke growls as he gave him a punch in the head knocking the orange male on the ground.
"How's that for adorable?" Yusuke mocked.
Nezuko took the blue furball off Yusuke's head as she took a look at the small creature tilting her head. The blue furball made a sound, "Puu Puu". Yusuke turns his head to see that it was only Nezuko standing there wide awake.
"Hey Nezuko, I'm glad to see that your awake," Yusuke said.
"Mmm?" She held the blue furball in her arms as Yusuke scratch the back of his head.
"Do you like it? It's a mini Urameshi." Kuwabara laughed as Yusuke gave him another punch to the head.
"It's a Spirit Creature. Koenma had a spirit egg for me when I was dead and said that it will be having the same feeling as I do." Yusuke explained as Nezuko awes the furry creature before handing it over to Keiko as she took a seat on the floor crisscross. She sat there listening to them tease about Yusuke's little creature, but more importantly, since they were making it to the semifinals they had another match to face.
"I'm kind of starving right about now. What do you all say we grab something to eat?" Yusuke asked as everyone seem to agree to head down to go grab something to eat.
The others all arrived sitting in its dining hall together taking a seat around the table. The waiter was very kind and tried to persuade Nezuko to try one of his favorite dishes but she declined when she noticed Hiei reaching for his sword. He was acting strangely, almost territorial every time the waiter passed her.
"Nezuko?" She turned her head to see Hiei holding a menu out for her. "Do you want to try something from the menu? Something that has a lot of protein in it." A vigorous nod was a "yes" as she read the menu with Hiei telling her what was up there. As soon as she got her order ready, Hiei told the waiter what she wanted on her plate.
When everyone's dishes were served, Nezuko happily dug in without a second thought. As Hiei removed her muzzle, she began gulping down huge chunks of bread and apples from off her plate. She could feel the crumbs being all over her face, but she couldn't bring herself to care. She was starving, and after her battle and trying to revenge Kurama and the others, she deserved to feast. Nezuko could feel eyes burning into her head, and she looked up to catch Keiko's face contorted with disgust. She blushed when she noticed Nezuko was looking at her and quickly looked back down at her food.
"Mmm?" Nezuko tilted her head wondering why she gave her that look. What did she do wrong?
When Nezuko swallowed her food, Yusuke noticed something was wrong, "You got a problem, Keiko?" he didn't mean to sound so hostile, but he really wasn't in the mood for her attitude. Nezuko was tired, and what could she possibly be doing to upset Keiko?
Her eyes widened with surprise, but she hurriedly recovered as she replied, "She's eating like you guys," she gestured to Yusuke and Kuwabara who were stuffing their faces. She gave Nezuko an angry look causing the demon girl to lower her head feeling a little embarrassed for her distaste.
"Who cares?" Yusuke shrugged. "I'm hungry, Keiko. I'm fighting for my life here," Yusuke paused and gestured to the rest of the guys on his team. "We're fighting for our lives and the people we love. So sorry if table manners are the last thing on my mind. I was taught to fight and survive, not how to act properly," Yusuke said with venom, and with that outburst.
As Yusuke continues saying, "Besides, I have not once seen Nezuko eat anything. Hiei offered to order something that she would like to feast on." His eyes narrowed at Keiko as he softens looking over to see that Nezuko was lowering herself under the table. "Nezuko, you don't have to be embarrassed. If your that hungry you can eat as much as you want. Here. Have a slice of my meat." He held out a juicy steak in front of her as Nezuko smelt the aroma causing her to drool and her eyes changed too.
"I wouldn't give her that if I were you." Hiei gave Yusuke a warning to push away the state as he handed Nezuko the bowl of rice placing some in her mouth allowing her to chew and swallow. Nezuko's eyes changed back to normal as she began to eat some more of the rice she had ordered.
"Why? Is she a vegetarian?" Kuwabara inquired.
"No. I'm just warning you not to give her anything that is meat-related. It's flesh." Hiei said as he dug back into his plate to continue eating his meal.
Nezuko felt so bad for making Keiko get herself into an argument like that, especially since she was Yusuke's girlfriend. But she didn't have the right to pick on her like that. So what if she was eating like the guys? Why did she have to attack her when she clearly doesn't know the whole side story about her?
"God, Keiko. What's your issue?" Yusuke demanded, angrily shoving noodles into his mouth. Keiko glared at him, cheeks burning with rage. "Are you kidding me? You're siding with her? At least teach her some table manners! Right Botan?"
The blue-haired reaper looked away and turned her focus to the food. "Haha, what a delicious meal we have, wouldn't you say Kurama?" she said too cheerfully. Kurama gave her a stare but politely went along with the distraction.
"If you ask me, your comment was a bit uncalled for," Hiei scoffed. "As for what Yusuke said, there are bigger issues to worry about. You could've at least handled your wording a bit better, instead of comparing her to these fools," he gestured to the detective and Kuwabara. They remained surprisingly silent, which only meant that they were too afraid to agree with him.
Keiko bit her lip and yelled, "I didn't mean to insult her! It's just so horrible! Watching all of you risk your lives! I was just so frustrated and on edge. I didn't mean to!" her voice lowered drastically, to the point where it was barely audible. "I didn't mean to sound too harsh."
Nezuko looks at Keiko as she imaged her little sister in distress as she leaned over to wrap her arm on Keiko's shoulder. She was comforting her making the human girl look up at her to see her showing the kindness that she forgave her for saying those things to her that weren't necessary.
"I'm sorry, Nezuko-Chan." Keiko apologized.
When dinner was finished, they went back to the hotel just to have a little talk afterward. Hiei entered his room, everything was dark, so he had assumed that Nezuko wasn't around. He walks into the bathroom where the scent appeared to have originated. He flicked on the lights and found Nezuko asleep in the tub.
Her body glistened, her hair was tied up and splayed out in wet ringlets. Her face looked so relaxed, she almost appeared to be smiling in her sleep with the muzzle on her mouth. His eyes wandered, focusing again on her body. His throat dried as he peeked at her breasts. They looked so soft, he had a sudden urge to wrap his mouth around them. And her legs, so long and slender.
He quickly turned and closed the door before he saw anything else. Hiei leaned against the bathroom door, his face was burning hot and his pants felt too tight. 'I need to get out of here,' was the only thought coming to his head. But before he could escape, he felt himself falling back as the door opened. He fell to the floor, too engrossed in his thoughts to even bother catching himself. He tried to hold on to the nearest thing he could grab, but it was no use. He landed hard onto the floor, and with what appeared to be a moist towel landing on his face.
Nezuko jumped when she saw who was lying on the floor. The towel was covering the person's face, but based on the black boots and dark cloak, she immediately knew who it was. A low growl came from her as she reached for another towel quickly, as she took a large step over his body.
Hiei quickly sat up and looked away, his eyebrows were still furrowed in frustration, but a blush was slowly creeping across his face. She continued to stare at him, expecting him to say something else.
As Nezuko huffed at Hiei looking at him very displeased with his actions as Hiei shook his head.
"This is my room!" He shouted.
"Mmm! Mmf!" Nezuko pouted angrily.
He continued to look at the ground where he sat. Drops of water fell on his cloak, but he paid no mind to them. His face slowly calmed, and a smirk formed on his lips.
"Y-you look okay with your hair up," he mumbled in a low voice. Nezuko was caught off guard with how gentle he sounded, there was no venom in his words at all, no sarcasm. She slowly walked towards the bed, smiling to herself. She felt a small breeze run past her, and when she turned, Hiei was suddenly there. She tightened her grip on the towel, holding it to her chest. Hiei leaned towards her and tenderly kissed the top of her forehead. She closed her eyes, enjoying the moment of peace.
"Mmm!" Nezuko giggled.
Hiei's eyes soften at the demon girl as she wrapped her arms around his neck nuzzling her face against his chest. Does she seem to get the message?
'This feeling...what is it? Is this love?' He thought to himself as stared into Nezuko's eyes searching for something in them.
"Nezuko?" Hiei called her name in a soft tone.
"Mmf?" She quirks her eyebrows as he reached down to take her hands in his staring deeply into her eyes.
"I...I have feelings for you. These little feelings that won't seem to stop when I'm around you." Hiei said as he felt his heart skip a beat and butterflies were in his stomach as he bit the bottom of his lip. "I don't know if you or should know that I like you. Not like a friend type-well uh...something more than a friend. I want...if you feel the same way like do to be together. If you don't feel the same way, I won't force you."
Nezuko stares at Hiei as she wrapped her arms around his neck nuzzling her face against him. Hiei felt his cheeks rise as he gave her a gentle pat on the back. She moved away from him as she looked up at him with pure happiness in her eyes.
"Do you feel the same way?" He nervously asked.
"Mmm! Mmm!" She said nodding her head as crawled on his lap smiling at him while Hiei wrapped his arms around her waist. She nuzzles her face against his chest while he combs his fingers through her hair as he removed her muzzle making noises to get Hiei's attention. Seeing the muzzle off, she smiled up to him showing her fangs.
"Love," He whispered to himself. And before Nezuko knew what he was doing, he was in front of her. He quickly pulled her face close to his and pressed his lips to hers. She froze in surprise, slowly processing what had happened. She kissed him back passionately, her lips hungering for more. Their lips broke apart as Hiei gasped in surprise.
"Nezuko," Hiei called her as she looks up at him with her head tilted. "Would you like to sleep with me tonight? N-Not like a sexual kind of way!"
Hiei was nervous and Nezuko nodded her head. Then she remembers being in a towel as she got up to drag Hiei by the arm to escort him out of the room. Hiei was confused wondering why she dragged him out of the room as Nezuko pointed to herself and at the towel. He nodded scratching the back of his neck, as she shut the door in front of him to change into something warm to wear.
He stopped before walking through the hallway and said, "I just need to take care of a few things." to take a couple of doors down while Nezuko stayed in the room to change into one of Hiei's shirts that were bright red and a little large for her body, she put on black underwear and grey shorts. She set her muzzle aside and sat on the bed swinging her legs back and forth. Just when she heard the door open standing in the doorway was Hiei who came back to the room and found her sitting in the bed. Her hair was was still wet, the scent of vanilla wafting throughout the room. The clothes she was wearing must've belonged to his, but he hardly recognized them as they hugged her body. The shorts rode up a little, showing so much skin, it should have been a sin. He stumbled to the bed, feeling as if it were in a dream.
"This can't be real..." Hiei mumbled. She stared at him with wide eyes. He slowly climbed on top of her and whispered, "You look...beautiful."
Then he took his hand, lifted her chin, and kissed her sweet lips.
The next morning, the team tries to scope out the competition. Team ShiShiwakamaru takes care of Team Gokai 6 in two minutes. As ShiShiwakamaru's team takes the leave, Hiei and Kurama were watching down below at their next team they will have to compete against in the semifinal round.
"Hn," Hiei grunted, "What an arrogant fool." Hiei finds that ShiShiwakamaru's team very ridicule to believe that they aren't just here to fight. They only want to become famous.
"Well, well, well. Look who it is!" A voice from the one known as Kuwabara approaching the two demons along with Yusuke, Nezuko, Botan, and the masked fighter.
"Hello." Kurama kindly greeted them with a faint smile.
"Guess you guys have the same idea as we do about scoping our competition for the semifinals." Said Kuwabara wearing a grin.
"Had the same idea. The fight's over." Kurama replied.
"What?!" Kuwabara exclaimed as he clenched the rails to hear the announcement for the semifinals for Team Urameshi to fight against ShiShiwakamaru.
"That is unbelievable. I mean I can't believe we missed the entire fight just because I took a couple of extra minutes to brush my teeth." Kuwabara let out a small groan in defeat.
"It was an impressive sight to behold," Kurama stated.
"Though I'm sure your minty fresh breath as well for the delay." Hiei mocked. His eyes glanced up when he saw Puu sitting on top of Yusuke's head."What is that ridiculous appendage growing out of your head all about?"
"It's called a puberty thing okay?" Yusuke huffed."So, Kurama. How's the wound treatin' you?"
"It will be fine. I will be fighting again tomorrow." Kurama reassured.
Hiei smirked, "Seems it's not as bad as you made think."
Kurama backtalks saying, "Compared with your energy loss, no it seems it's not." Hiei grunted as Nezuko made some noises staring ahead.
Kuwabara grinned, "Hey! I got an idea, you guys! Ask Yukina to use her healing power! She's amazing! As soon as she touches you, you'll better than you ever have before! She's pretty too!" Nezuko looks over at Hiei to see him a little pale when Kuwabara mentioned his sister since she's here to watch them fight in the tournament. "She's actually partly here to look for her long-lost estranged brother...I'm gonna help her look for him just as soon as we win this tournament."
Kurama chuckles wearing a smug, "Yukina's brother. Yes, sounds like a noble cause. We should assist her too, Hiei."
"Yeah, you could even lend an eye!" Yusuke partly laughed.
Hiei growled, "Will you shut up?" He hissed at them wanting them not to tell Kuwabara that he is Yukina's brother. Nezuko felt a little bad that he didn't want to reveal that he is her long-lost brother she hoped to find. Then, she started to picture her little brother as she reached up to gently head pat him. It was reassuring for Hiei that he knew that she wasn't going to tell Kuwabara, but how it affected him about her reaction to being a thief, rogue, and murderer.
Kuwabara blinked in confusion, "Wait, huh? What's going on here? Am I missing something, what aren't you guys telling me, uh, what do you keep laughing about anyway?"
"Just what Hiei said about this ridiculous thing on my head-right?" Yusuke snickered.
"I heard him say that. It wasn't that funny." Kuwabara mumbled.
Meanwhile, Kuwabara looks on, confused. Everyone appears to be in good humorous spirits until Yusuke catches the Masked Fighter glaring at him. Looking across the stadium, Team Toguro is revealed, the audience reacting to the standoff. This is the first time all four members of Team Toguro are seen together. A large man with samurai-ish armor is named Bui, the character with the long black trench coat and complimenting jet black hair is Karasu, and the remaining two are the Toguro Bros. Kuwabara is stunned by the amount of power that the Toguro brothers are giving off. Yusuke tells him not to worry about it but Kuwabara is still shaken.
Kuwabara looks over at Nezuko, "How about you? Are you still going to fight with the rest of them?" He was a lot more afraid to face team Toguro's team and they were going to be awaiting huge surprises along the way when they'll reach the final round of this tournament. Nezuko slightly nodded as she gave Kuwabara a head pat staring at him as she visioned her baby brother before her eyes completely shut.
"Hey? Nezuko?"
Kuwabara tries to call out her name only to see that she was fast asleep.
Kurama took a look at her to see that she was sleeping and faintly smiled. "It's all right. She's just still tired after yesterday's match."
"Geez, she's tired already?" Kuwabara blinked.
"Nezuko does sleep a lot to regenerate herself. Hopefully, she won't sleep for so long like she uses to." Yusuke said, when he recalled back a couple of months ago he noticed that Nezuko had been sleeping for about a whole week or two. It worried him that Botan said that she may be "hibernating" to regenerate her body.
"Do we have to carry her or-"
Yusuke took Nezuko's hand gently that she didn't wake up to feel his touch. But she was responding to his body movement as he dragged her along while she slept. While they were chilling in the waiting room, Team Uraotogi shows up and requests a good match, with Shishiwakamaru saying that they need more than two minutes of fighting to be famous. Yusuke and company reply with a few witty comebacks and Uraotogi take off. The Masked Fighter just keeps staring at Yusuke and says that if he's the team leader, he should be able to beat Toguro on his own.
"Hey, can one of you guys take Nezuko back?" Yusuke asked.
"I'll do it." Hiei volunteered.
"You want to trust shorty to take Nezuko back? I'll do it for you." Kuwabara politely said.
Hiei glared at the fool, "I said I will take her back. Touch her and there will be consequences."
"Since when do you care about Nezuko?"
Kuwabara gritted his teeth together as Hiei took Nezuko's hand gently as she did a little wobble to rest her head against his shoulder. Hiei ignored Kuwabara for complaining about how he cared for the girl when he clearly confessed to her last night. This girl was something more than he what he didn't search for in his whole life.
"It's fine, let him take her. She doesn't seem to hurt him for any necessary reason." Yusuke protested. He turned his heel and left the others to follow the masked fighter.
"I don't know what we're going to be dealing with against ShiShiwakumaru's team." Hiei scoffed.
He held Nezuko's hand to head back to their hotel room as the demon girl opens her eyes to see Hiei as she made noises. Hiei looked over to see the girl was awake as he grins just as they reached by the couch. The girls were with them also to tag along with the fighters that were working hard to protect the loved ones they cared about most.
Nezuko lays on the floor as Hiei took a seat next to her watching her as she raised her legs in the air kicking them. Hiei wondered what she was thinking inside of her head, but he looked out of the window watching the rain pour down hard. The others were sitting around together at the table talking and laughing as Nezuko blocks them out and was in her own world.
"Mmm...Mmm..." They looked over to see Nezuko dragging her body on the carpet and moving away making the others laugh finding it cute.
"You know? Nezuko? I haven't even asked about how you must be worried about your family." Keiko started as Nezuko looked at her sitting up as she felt a chest behind her. She looked up to see Hiei was faintly smiling down at she returned a smile up at him. "You don't mind me asking about your family, do you?" Nezuko slightly shrugged her shoulders that she didn't mind her asking about her family.
"Okay. What's your home like?" Keiko asked.
Now, Nezuko couldn't talk, so she was deadpanned for a moment before standing up to leave out of the room. She returned carrying some paper and a pencil to write her response down.
"Any brothers or sisters?" Keiko asked.
Nezuko nodded.
"How many siblings?" Botan asked.
Nezuko held up five fingers while she smiled under her muzzle. "Five?! That's a lot. Are you the oldest or the youngest?" Kuwabara questioned as she held up two fingers meaning she was the second oldest out of the four.
"Ah, so the oldest has to be your brothers or sisters." Botan chimed. Nezuko nodded as she sadly looked down proceeding to write about her backstory to let the others hear about them. When she was finished writing, she went over to Kurama to hand it over for him to read out loud.
"You want me to read it? Out loud?" Kurama asked for Nezuko's permission to read what she wrote down to let the others learn about her.
"What did she write?" Botan asked."
"Well, I will have to read it, so you can hear what she what she wrote down." Said Kurama, his eyes scanned through the lines of her response as she began to explain her whole story about herself that has everything that happened from the beginning right to the end. When Kurama stopped reading what she wrote down as the others were shocked about what she wrote.
"Nezuko..." Botan's mouth was gaped open a little. "... You're a human..."
"Why didn't you tell us sooner?" Keiko asked.
"She didn't know when to tell us. Because she wanted to wait until the moment was right to share all of this." Shizuru said as she glanced over at Nezuko sitting on the floor as she laid there staring up at the ceiling.
"How is it possible for a demon to come up to a human's home and to take away that person's life? That just isn't fair!" Keiko exclaimed.
"Though it does make sense why she sleeps so long and refused to eat a human. Nezuko's abilities are very unique and instead of relying on human blood to survive, she uses sleep to revitalize her energy. The powers that she has shown go from superhuman strength to size manipulation." Kurama pointed out, "Being a sole survivor of demons with her brother, she was is in a constant struggle with becoming a demon and retaining her humanity."
Hiei furrows his eyebrows as he glanced down to see Nezuko laying on the floor, "Nezuko..." He whispered, he reaches his hand down to rub his knuckles against her forehead as she looks up smiling at Hiei, and takes his hand to pull him close.
Kurama furrowed his eyebrows, "Your brother was trying to help you, wasn't he? He knew you never do it."
Nezuko slightly lowered her head, "Mhm." Hiei was looking at her as he felt pity drawn to him after learning that Nezuko wasn't born as a demon. She was a human turned into a demon.
"Nezuko? How old were your siblings when they died?" Yukina asked.
Kurama flips on the backside to see her four siblings that died:
Takeo Kamado (Younger Brother)-10
Hanako Kamado (Younger Sister)-9
Shigeru Kamado (Younger Brother)-8
Rokuta Kamado (Younger Brother)-5
"That's horrible to find them in your home lying dead and you covering your little brother while lying in the snow...covered in his blood," Botan spoke up in a sad croak in her voice when she mentioned her brother the youngest out of all her other siblings.
"Tanjiro and you were the only ones alive and were forced to leave your home." Yukina sadly said.
"You had no other choice..." Hiei lowly whispered.
Kurama looks down shutting his eyes, "What makes this even more tragic is that despite all of the things that Nezuko has been through." He paused glancing over at Nezuko sadly before lowly whispering to them, "Whenever we are around Nezuko, she gets this look in her eyes. We treat her with kindness and especially when Hiei and I came around her and Yusuke..." He deeply sighs, "She thinks we're her family after losing her own. When she became a demon, all of her memories were gone when she was a human. She's trying to remember what she lost by interacting with the people she's around."
"That's horrible." Yukina lowly whispered.
"It's no wonder how close you are to Yusuke. You think of him as your older brother." Keiko sadly looks down at her feet.
"Do you know what your brother is wearing in case we find him?" Kurama asked.
Nezuko takes another sheet of paper and writes down her response, then she hands it back to Kurama to read it out loud, "A dark-brown gakuran jacket, a white belt, baggy pants that extend into tabi socks, a pair of zōri with red straps, and bands of white cloth wrapped tightly around his calves, all beneath his signature checkered haori."
"If we ever find your brother again...I'm sure he'll be happy to see you again." Botan faintly smiled at the demon girl that was once a human only to become a monster.
The fox eyes landed on the last finished paragraph she wrote, "And if demon hurts a human. Never forgive them for what they've done." Kurama read out loud as he looked over at the others listening.
"She has a suggestion to make if she either trusts the demon if they don't hurt the human. But if they do then she has to option to kill them and never forgive for what they did to that person." Botan said.
"Yes," Kurama said.
"Why didn't you hurt Hiei or Kurama when you first them?" Kuwabara asked.
Kurama explains, "I think Nezuko may have known that we weren't trying to hurt Yusuke or her after we came across them. She had to see before herself if either one of us had the guts to kill them first or hurt them."
"You don't hate Kurama and Hiei do you?" Botan asked.
Nezuko shook her head as she gave Kurama a head pat and she got up to give Hiei a head pat too. A small grin formed on Hiei's face that he enjoyed this girl's gentle petting.
"She didn't seem to do anything after Hiei beat the crap out of the leader. So, she must have known not to forgive the human after what he did to hurt Yukina." Kuwabara stated.
"That is true. But Nezuko doesn't consider that at all. She was only protecting Yukina because she knew that she needed to be rescued."
"Humans are to be protected and saved... I will never hurt them." Kurama quoted Nezuko's words while he read it out loud.
"...But there are some good and bad humans that you have to understand, Nezuko," Kuwabara told her like he told Yukina when they first met.
"I think she is well aware of that concept." Said Kurama.
When night came around, Hiei was heading back to the room he shared with Nezuko as he enters inside to look for her.
"Nezuko? Are you here?" He called her name out loud as he heard a low "Mmm" sound coming from under the bed. He went over to the bed he sleeps in as he crouched down from under the bed to peek under to see Nezuko was hiding and he notices tear stains on her cheeks. Has she been crying?
"Hey, come here," Hiei softly begged her to come from under the bed as she slowly came out feeling so upset.
"You don't think I am interested in you because you were once a human?" Hiei asked as she slowly nodded her head. His shoulders hung down as he pulled her against his chest as she buried her face while he pats her head resting his chin on top. He may not be quite good at comforting others' empathy by showing any emotion around anyone, but he knew that same feeling when he felt the same thing when he lost the things he never claims to be his home. Now he felt upset when he listened to Nezuko share her story and she thinks after he listened to it he doesn't feel interested in her anymore.
"I do still care about you, but you should've told us sooner about yourself." He said as she merely nodded crying into his chest. "If it makes you feel any better, I will tell you my story. Just to you, okay?" Nezuko looks up as Hiei brushed her hair behind her ear as he began to tell his story about what he had to deal with.
He told her how he wasn't accepted into his clan, back in Demon World. He told her how he joined a pack of thieves, but they were so afraid of his bloodlust that they too, abandoned him. He told her how he had been searching far and wide for the land where he had once come from, to see his mother, and perhaps kill them all for leaving him to fend for himself. He traveled all that way, only to find that his mother was dead. He told her about his sister, Yukina, though she already suspected that. The jokes shared between Kurama and Yusuke gave it all away. He told her about his search for her, but now that that's complete, he felt he had no meaning again. He told her how he felt lost, and that's why he stayed in the group for so long.
He told her everything.
Nezuko sat there as the room grew darker, never saying a word. She finally understood his pain and why he acted so cold. She could relate to him, feeling so out of place in her own world, but knowing her pain could never compare to his.
Once Hiei had finished speaking, Nezuko leaned against his shoulder and linked her arm with his. She caressed his scarred hand, having nothing to say that could offer him comfort.
"If we ever find your brother..." Hiei says as she stares into his eyes deeply,"...I just hope that he's safe. He's probably worried and wished that were you with back with him. I'll protect you while he isn't around because I know how much he means a lot to you. Just like Yukina means a lot to me." Nezuko's eyes lighten up as she smiled under her muzzle hearing those words coming from Hiei though he may be a cold person, he is still showing a little kindness, especially around those fools.
Tanjiro
Hiei paused for a moment thinking he heard her voice, but she didn't say anything.
