Team Toguro easily wins the semi-finals with minimal effort. Meanwhile, Genkai goes to confront the Younger Toguro, who is absent from the semi-finals. The link between Genkai and Toguro is explored, and a fight is upcoming.

On the way back to the hotel, Nezuko felt someone lift her as she gasps to see that it was only Hiei. The fire demon chuckles to be amused by Nezuko's noises that come out of her mouth. But with the muzzle covering it that she could only make muffling sounds.

"Did I scare you?" He smirked.

Hiei set Nezuko down on the ground in front of the hotel, she smiled, as she took Hiei's hand in hers. His hand grips on her in a tight hold, he was beginning to feel more in love with this girl by the second. In a split couple of months they spared together, he began to think to himself that these strange feelings were warming his insides that he found himself a flower girl with a kind and gentle soul.

"I need you," Hiei blurted out. He held her hands in his and took a deep breath as he repeated, "I...need you. I need you to stay with me. I've never..."

He gulped down his pride. He had to tell her now before it was too late. "I've never felt this way before. Nezuko, I love you." His cheeks turning slightly red as the demon girl made a noise that rung his ears as Nezuko smiled to hear those words coming from him. She felt the same way.

The fire demon took her hand to escort her to the hotel saying, "We should rest for a while before we return to training. If your okay with resting that is."

"Mmm!" Nezuko chimed.

Even if Nezuko couldn't speak, Hiei wished she could say some simple words or perhaps try to help her communicate by teaching her how to talk.

Nezuko slowly opened her eyes and stared at the hotel room's ceiling; her head rested on Hiei's arm. She snuggled closer to him, stealing some of his heat. He snored softly, his headband fell around his neck and his hair was sticking up in random places.

She smiled to herself, never expecting to share such a serene moment with him. His features softened while he was sleeping, and she could feel herself falling deeper for him. Nezuko nuzzles against Hiei's chest as she fell into a deep sleep to rest up to regenerate her body. As she slept in her "boyfriends" arms, she began to softly let out some snores.

"N...Nez...Nezuko!" She heard someone calling her name in the pit of darkness.

"Nezuko!" The voice rang her ears again. "Turn around!" She did what she was told when her eyes widen to see her brother Tanjiro standing there alive.

Tanjiro faintly smiles as Nezuko runs over to her brother to embrace him in a warm hug. She was happy to see and hear his voice that brought happiness to the girl that she was glad to see him again. But was this a dream? Or is it real?

"Nezuko, I was so worried about you after you got warped to a different place that is much different than our world." Tanjiro stated as he softly gazes down at his sister, "I'm glad that you're alive. I'm alive too, and I defeated the demon that sent you to wherever you may be. I wish I could get you, but I don't know-how. I'll figure it out."

"Mmm! Mmm!" Nezuko nodded her head as she hugged her brother tighter as he responded.

Tanjiro pulled away saying, "You seem fine on your own lately. The others were concerned about you going missing and they really missed you."

"Mmm..." Nezuko sighs.

"I would want to ask you about what's been going on. But, I rather wait until I find a way to get to where you are." Said Tanjiro as he pulled away from her as she cupped her face staring deeply into his sister's eyes. "I know you'll be patient. Won't you?"

"Mmm!" Nezuko nodded.

Tanjiro faintly smiled, "If we find each other again...I promise you that you'll be a human." His smile dropped as he picked up a sense that was kicking in as his eye widen. "Nezuko, you have to wake up! Now! I can scent something that is happening to where you're located. Weird." His heart began to beat fast as Nezuko looked at him worried. "Listen, you have to wake up! Someone is in danger and you need to help them! GO!"

Nezuko jolts up from her sleep as she felt a strange power growing intensely coming from the forest. Hiei happened to wake up as she removed herself from him, but just before he could ask her what was wrong she just left out in a hurry. The fire demon was curious and he too, felt a strong power coming from the forest and perhaps that's why Nezuko ran out. When Nezuko ran out of the hotel, she bolted hurrying to find out what was going on when she knew that this was partly strange. She arrived where the immense of power was coming from and she wasn't alone when she saw Yusuke there too. Both of them arrived just in time to see their teacher slain, and assaulted Toguro in a rage, only to be knocked away by one devastating blow. It hurts as Nezuko and Yusuke approached their dead teacher while Toguro still standing watches them mourn over her.

As hours had passed, the others were training for themselves for the final round to face against Toguro's team. Nezuko was Yusuke to stay close as she did as much as she could to prepare for the fight and who her opponent she'll take on. While she sat on the rock by the shore, Yusuke was focusing on his spirit energy after he had completed his training with Genkai and was preparing to face Toguro himself.

By the rocks where Yusuke stood by the seashore was Kuwabara showing off his new weapon to help his spirit energy.

"Do you think it's possible that you could shut up?" Hiei asked annoyingly.

Both of them looked over at the fire demon Yusuke spoke up, "Hey Hiei."

"You really shouldn't sneak up to someone who's holding the world's most powerful sword!" Kuwabara said as he let out a scream like he was being murdered and pointed at Hiei's arm. "EW! EW! What the heck happened to your arm!?"

"It wouldn't obey when I gave it a specific command, so I decided it needed to be punished." Hiei dryly explained holding out his injured arm as Nezuko worriedly stared at him.

"Mmm..." She said furrowing her eyebrows at the fire demon as she looked over at Yusuke.

"Let's change the subject, where's Kurama?" Kuwabara hesitantly asked.

"Kuwabara, I've been standing next to you this whole time," Kurama said appearing out of nowhere startling Kuwabara.

In the middle of the conversation, Kuwabara asked about Genkai and Yusuke said that she wasn't coming. He was questioning them, but they kept silent not wanting to upset the big guy about the loss of her life between her and Toguro.

Back at the hotel, Nezuko looks at Yusuke to see how completely devastated for the loss of Genkai. She can only vision her brother Tanjiro in him as she reached over to pull him in a warm embrace trying to comfort him. Yusuke wrapped his arms around her as he held back the tears trying not to cry like a water bucket. He thanked her after letting go as Hiei approached over to her knowing what happened as he wrapped an arm around her to assure her that this final battle will be their last to finish this. Then, they will return to their normal lives.
