Later that night, Yusuke was back at the apartment with Genkai and Botan along with the two Kamado siblings that were there. Tanjiro learned from resulting the situation about what happened at the bar and at the hospital for finding two psychics, but there were still more out there, and their leader is very persistent.
"Nezuko? Maybe we should go out together tonight just in case we find any more of the psychics." Tanjiro suggesting putting his sword around his waist to keep it cover so no one will notice him carrying it. Nezuko was sitting on the couch kicking her legs back and forth humming.
"Hey, where'd you think you're going?" Yusuke asked.
Tanjiro looked back at the greasy hair boy, "Nezuko and I are going out to patrol around the city in case one of the psychics appears." He replied as he put on his shoes to tie them as the detective looked at him with his mouth gaped open.
"But it is late and raining out, so you shouldn't go out." He protested.
"Love to, but I want to help you get rid of the psychics." He turned back to face him directly, "We don't know what's going to happen if we sit here and let the tunnel dig through its way to the living world."
Genkai stares at the two boys diverting at one another as he grunted, "Let him go, Yusuke."
"What?" Yusuke glance back at the old woman as she scowled.
"There is no point in arguing when he's speaking the truth and we don't know if there are other psychics out this late," Genkai said.
Nezuko jumps off the couch just before Yusuke could respond, she gave him a head pat to assure him that they will be fine. The detective didn't argue knowing that those two have been through so much together that they continue to go out in the hard pouring cold rain late this time of night.
"Alright, just be safe," Yusuke said, the two siblings looked at each other and back at him with a slight nod.
"Don't worry Yusuke, we'll be just fine," Tanjiro assured.
Both of the two siblings step outside to leave the apartment to head outside of the pouring rain. The bad weather wasn't going to stop them from continuing their mission to find the last remaining of the seven psychics.
Tanjiro stopped his tracks as he picked up a scent not too far as he furrowed his eyebrows together.
"This smell...its some kind of sensation of water technique not similar to mine, of course," Tanjiro says out loud trying to figure out where the smell leads to.
"Mmm..." Nezuko said.
"It's not the rain doing all of this unless...it could..." Tanjiro trailed off as he felt something growing powerful downtown.
'Kuwabara said that he was going to see a show tonight with his other friends. I can sense his power for miles away.' Tanjiro thought.
"Nezuko, let's go. I'm picking up a scent in this direction." He told his sister who nodded as they began to run to see if they were right about finding the psychic that is around the city that revealed himself.
On their way back from a Metallica concert, Kuwabara and his friends are confronted by Seaman, one of Sensui's psychics, who take advantage of Kuwabara's present lack of spiritual energy and one by one traps Kuwabara's friends in a manipulated water giant, which acts as a dimensional prison.
Both Tanjiro and Nezuko stop at their tracks to see Kuwabara trapped in some large bubbly liquid trying to get out.
"Kuwabara!" Tanjiro shouted.
The two notice a slender male and of average height, Seaman possesses a slight build, a fair complexion, and delicate facial features. His sandy brown and wavy hair is normally slicked back, leaving just a few bangs dangling onto his forehead, and his garments include a yellow hooded sweatshirt, tight blue jeans, and a pair of white shoes.
"Just who are you? Are you one of the psychics?" Tanjiro demand.
"I am. My name is Kiyoshi Mitarai also known as Seaman and I guess you're wondering what kind of a mess I'm in." Mitari smirked.
"I can see that very clearly." Tanjiro knitted his eyebrows together glaring at the blond male. "That is my friend that your holding inside of that thing."
Mitari gave him a twisted smile, "Do you like it? I call it the water monster and by adding my blood to water, I can create indestructible monsters. The more water around, the easier it spreads, and the more blood, the bigger and more powerful the monster becomes. However, the monsters created from a smaller amount of blood seem to be far more agile. Larger amounts of blood create a giant, made entirely of water, that is mainly used to bind and drown victims." He explained to the boy as Tanjiro knitted his eyebrows together and glanced over at the remaining of the four boys trapped inside of the water monster.
'We need to get them out as soon as possible. They'll die inside of that thing the more of the water will take up their oxygen they could drown.' Tanjiro thought.
"What's the holdup?" Mitari asked.
Tanjiro drew out his sword saying, "I'm just getting started by taking you down and take those people!" He got in his fighting stance as Nezuko's eyes changed as she got in a fighting stance. Mitari could let out a laugh to find it amusing that he was going to be facing off against a swordsman and demon.
"You think you're going to use the same attack that Kuwabara used on me? Forget it." Mitari smirked.
Tanjiro wasn't finding this funny at all as he held the handle of the blade tighter. As he glanced back at Nezuko, she nodded back at him as he nodded.
"Let's go!" Tanjiro shouted.
The two siblings charged straight to Seaman to work together and take him on and figure out a way to free Kuwabara and his friends.
Tanjiro struggles to dodge all of them as they have the ability to swerve in midair. The psychic used a technique skill called "Monster Summoner", Seaman himself is unable to fight properly, and thus creates liquid creatures that do his bidding, while he stands back safe from harm. Tanjiro and Nezuko had to fight their way through his water army that he formed and it was most likely difficult to pass through.
Tanjiro's trajectory even if he gets close he used one of his fourth forms: Striking Tide to get past them. However, he wasn't prepared for another special attack from the psychic as he gritted his teeth when one of the water creatures was trying to hold Nezuko down by choking her. He went over to swing his sword to cut them apart as he knelt on one knee.
"Nezuko! We can't let this go to waste. Not Kuwabara or anyone either." Tanjiro told his sister as she glanced over at the four boys visioning her family endanger. Her eyes changed once again to pure anger as she stood up and the two-faced away leaning back against each other. "You'll take on Mitari, but don't kill him just so we can get answers out of him. I have a feeling he's got plenty of information to tell us."
Nezuko hums as she glared at the blond male angrily as for Tanjiro he stares at the large blob of the water monster.
"Go get him." He said.
Nezuko into Tanjiro and both siblings land in a leap as they faced different directions. One fights Seaman, while the other tries to rescue the others which were where Tanjiro was heading as he thought what could be the monster's weakness. The poor group was almost dying in there as he could smell how weak their stage was.
"What can I do to get you all out?" Tanjiro tries to think back on the previous fights against demons that he fought. One, in particular, he could remember was the demon that comes above ground. It has morphed and become capable of "Blood Demon Art" spells to move through solid ground. The demon breaks into three beings, and between that and their high rate of regeneration.
'Maybe Seaman and the Swamp Demon have the same similar techniques. But just looking at this I could probably get them out of this.' Tanjiro thought.
As Tanjiro inhales to takes a deep breath clutching his sword and taking a few steps to walk inside of the water monster. The sound of the watery liquid was in his ears as he could hear muffles coming from Kuwabara and some of the boys that were trying to gasp for air.
'I have to get them out of here.' Tanjiro thought. He looked over to see Kuwabara holding out his spirit sword as he glanced over at Tanjiro for a moment as the boy nodded over at him.
'His Water Style shows its true power when underwater. I can get us out of here.' Tanjiro grips his blade tightly, he twisted his body hard and held his sword over his shoulder, and began to spin to create a whirlpool. 'Sixth Form: Whirlpool!' trying to release the others with all his strength, forcing Tanjiro to unleash move after move to soften the impact.
Resulting in the swordsman performing an attack around the user and conjure a twisting, swirling, vicious flow of water to redirect projectiles from multiple angles. As the whirlpool was largely spinning in the air, Seaman stops attacking Nezuko when his eyes bulged to see that his water monster was destroyed. In the air, he could see Tanjiro holding his sword looking down at the scenery to see that he free those boys from their deaths. As he progresses, his speed was enhanced to the point that his movements couldn't be comprehended and perceived.
"How?! It's impossible!" Seaman exclaimed.
Just then Kuwabara appeared holding his sword out to awaken in true ability by slashing, suddenly peculiarly manipulates his spirit energy, creating a kind of spirit sword that can slice through dimensions and barriers. As Nezuko was looking over to check on the boys to make sure they weren't injured or anything. Mitari was running over to the girl ready to draw another attack when Tanjiro appears in a flash to cut across his chest not too deep.
"Hands off my sister!" Tanjiro draws a kick to make Mitari fall in defeat and he looked up to see him pointing his sword at him. The blond hair boy held his hands up in surrender, but his vision was blurry as he felt lightheaded and blacked out.
Tanjiro faced back at Kuwabara and the others to check on their pulses, Nezuko looked worried if they should get them to a doctor.
