Spider-man Dimensional Lost:
Hey guys! I'm back. I'm finally back! As much as I love making these chapter they do take their sweet a$$ time. Yet it's part of the process and I love it all the way through. I hope you enjoy this chapter! And before we start:

NodMportant: thank mate, I really like your enthusiasm. And yeah, the last chapter was a bit on the short side. This one is more on par with all the others. I hope I didn't keep you waiting too long.

Chapter 16: Switch
-Beast Boy's POV-
If you asked people what they think about outdoor activities, most of them would say:
''It's really relaxing'' or ''It's a good change of scenery'' or ''It's a life-changing experience''
Yeah, most of them weren't flying 30 meters high in the air towards the ocean below, and let me tell you, I have a lot of experience in that field.
This was already the 5th time Raven threw me out of the tower, though; she would usually try to throw me without breaking anything.
You know, I was having a good day. I had just cleaned my room, which I do clean sometimes for all of you bugging me about it online, I cleaned my suits for tomorrow and even unearthed a treasure from my past. And then, all hell breaks loose! I have to run for dear life and dodge black tentacles with a guy who appeared out of nowhere. Sadly, there was no way of sparring him Raven's fury when she gets all four-red-eyes-of-death.
This guy was very funny though! He was cracking jokes and even got my movie referen-

-End of Beast Boy's POV-
The ocean's cold slap reminded Beast Boy he was falling. Thank goodness it wasn't a big hit. Maybe being thrown out several times already gave him some experience on how to take the hit.
Regardless, he quickly changed into a fish, once he groaned a bit, and swam towards the tower. He gained some speed and jumped out of the water just to turn into an eagle to continue his way. Even though he was going through the air a few moments ago, Beast Boy managed to see how Raven fixed the window he went through, so he concluded that his fastest way inside would be through the roof.
The green hero wasn't particularly keen on getting back to the tower, however. He knew better than anyone that Raven was likely to throw him a second time if he continued to play dumb, so he would keep the jokes to a minimum.
He opened a door in the roof that led inside and changed into a leopard to head back into the common room. He got there rather quickly, just in time to hear part of the conversation inside with his perceptive ears.
''So, how exactly did you get here?''
-That's Robin's voice!- the hero thought
Beast Boy changed back and entered the common room, making everyone inside turn their head towards him when the doors opened.
Raven, Cyborg, Robin, and Starfire were currently inside, all around the spider guy, staring at him. All of them with different expressions. If Beast Boy could describe the situation, from his perspective at least, it would be as uncomfortable.
''Guys, guys, come on!'' Shouted Beast Boy with an apologetic face as he walked towards his teammates. ''Can't we show a bit of hospitality? Don't suffocate him''.
''Are we suffocating him, boyfriend Robin?'' asked Starfire.
''Of course not, Star'' Responded Robin with a caring tone ''We are making sure we don't have an enemy in front of us''. Said the Boy Wonder without a smile, looking back at Beast Boy, who by this point had joined the group. The boy wonder then gave a cold stare at the arachnid.
''What? Don't you trust this friendly face?'' said Spider-man.
Beast Boy just laughed. ''Come on Robin, he is a funny guy. We funny guys are never bad. Right, Raven?''
''…. Right''
-Yeah, maybe not my smartest move- Beast Boy Thought. He then looked at the Spider-Themed hero ''Ahem. Sorry dude, my teammates are very uhm excitable sometimes. I'm Beast Boy, and we are the Teen Titans. Welcome to our tower''. He said, extending his hand.
Robin was about to interject but Cyborg grabbed his shoulder. The Boy Wonder just looked back at him.
After years of training and fighting, the teen titans had developed a kind of silent communication among them, based on stares alone.
-Come down man, let's see how this plays out-
-I don't trust this guy Cyborg-
-We've got BB's back if anything happens, don't worry-
Robin sighed and relaxed his muscles for the moment. Still, he would keep his guard up.
On Peter's side though, he firmly shook Beast Boy's hand.
''Nice to meet you. Friendly neighbor Spider-man at your service'' He responded.
''I should have figured'' Beast boy said. ''Let me introduce you to my teammates'' The green hero then proceeded to introduce the rest of his friends.
''This is Cyborg''
''Sup Man'' said the aforementioned lifting his hand. Peter lifted his hand as well.
''This is Starfire''
''Nice to meet you new friend'' Said the alien girl with her usual bubbly slime.
Peter nodded and waved, trying to look friendly.
''This is Raven, you meet her early trying to kill us''.
Peter laughed this time ''It wouldn't be the first time a gal tries to kill me upon sight, believe me'' The memory of a blonde teacher came to Peter's mind with nostalgia. He then shook that thought and came back to the present. He looked at the hooded girl who was currently glaring at the Beast Boy.
Raven noticed the newcomer's stare and decided not to throw her teammate out of the tower just yet. She looked back at Spider-man but found her gaze being a bit…. evasive. In the young woman's mind, it hadn't occurred to her until now that she indeed tried to harm him earlier for no good reason. Though she was aiming primarily at Beast Boy. Should she apologize to him?
''Hello'' came the arachnid's voice, bringing her out of her trance.
''H-Hi'' said Raven not knowing whether to look at him or not ''Listen… I'm''
''Stop it. Again, not my first rodeo'' Said Peter trying not to make her feel guilty. ''But next time, can you aim just at him, please?''
''Dude, come on!'' said Beast Boy
-Great, another joker- thought Raven rolling her eyes. Yet, she couldn't hide a tiny smile that curved her lips. This was imperceptible to everyone around her except for Starfire who giggled.
''Regardless'' continued Beast Boy ''Last, but certainly not least, this is Robin, leader of the team''
Robin just looked at Spider-man, arm crossed.
''Hi'' Robin simply said. ''I don't mean to be impolite but you haven't answered my question. How and Why did you come to our tower?''
''Yeah, my censors detected a lot of energy the moment you appeared'' commented Cyborg on the side.
''Well, it's kind of a long story'' mentioned Peter
''Keep it simple, then'' responded Robin.
''Ok. I'll try'' Peter took a breather ''I'm hopping throughout different dimensions after an accident I was involved in a couple of weeks ago. Now I'm just trying to get to my home''.
''Dude! That sounds like an episode of Doctor Who'' said Beast Boy rather amused
Peter chuckled ''Believe me, you don't know half of it''.
''Dude, Awesome!''
''What's in the backpack?'' asked Robin this time. His eyes tried to analyze anything of the stranger, but his mask was making it difficult.
''The things I've got since my travel started. You would be amazed the places I've been''
''Is there a particular reason why we should believe you?''
''Well…''
Then, all the lights around the room turned red. Something was happening in the city.
The TV on the other side of the room turned on, showing a news channel. A female reporter started talking while behind her, cars were flying and explosions were going everywhere near city hall.
''Something is going on in the city Titans'' Robin shouted
''How far is that?'' Peter asked
''It's not too far'' Beast Boy responded
''We are going, right?''
''We are going'' countered Robin. ''You are not getting anywhere''
''Robin, this is really not the time dude'' Beast Boy said
''I'm not letting him get near civilians, Beast Boy!''
''Would you rather him staying here at the tower unsupervised?!''
The two heroes started to butt heads.
-Ok, this is not getting us anywhere- Raven thought as shadows covered the two guys until the neck and then pulled them apart. ''As much as I hate to admit it, Robin, Beast Boy is right. We can figure him out later but now, the city needs us''.
Starfire floated to where Robin was, struggling to get free. ''She is right Boyfriend Robin'' She said putting a hand on his cheek. The sudden touch of his beloved made him stop and take a big breath.
''Alright'' Said Robin, stopping his struggle. ''But he is coming with me''.
Currently in the city, the downtown area was utter chaos. People were leaving their cars behind and running with their children in hand, trying to escape the explosions and the cars being thrown in the air by a group of four. These individuals were going inside a bank, finding cops and police officers falling back the more time went on.
''Is it me or are they taking their time?'' asked one of the four to himself, while hacking the ATM machines outside the bank. He was the smallest one of the bunch. He was bald with a green jumpsuit. He had four metallic legs coming out of a backpack, which helped him not to get overshadowed by his companions. This was Gizmo.
''Maybe one of them decided to drop the towel on us.'' Responded another. He was slim, had a white and green suit, and a green helmet with a single eye-visor. This was See-More. He was currently watching over for any hero.
''Or two'' said one more member in a red jumpsuit and black shades. Most of his body was covered, except his mouth and nose. This was Billy Numerous. He was getting out of the bank with bags of cash on his hands. ''Or three'' ''Or four'' ''Or them all'' Said clones of Billy behind him, carrying bags as well.
''Well, Mammoth doesn't care, more fun for us!'' said one last member of the group, picking up a car with a family still inside. He was a goliath towering over the other. With thick skin, red hair and goatee, muscles everywhere, and a black and yellow sleeveless unitard. This was, as you may already guess, Mammoth. He turned towards one patrol car that had gotten close and without hesitation threw the car, with occupants still inside, at the cops.
The family flew through the sky going headfirst into the patrol car. Just before it could impact, shadows surrounded the whole car, stopping its momentum and avoiding casualties. The car then floated towards an unoccupied space, far from danger, where the family existed safely.
Mammoth, who was sure the car would hit, turned around knowing too well the one responsible for that.
Not very far away, was Raven, floating in the air, her hands held up, ready for anything.
Green bolts of light then came down on Billy Numerous, stopping him and his clones from running away with the money. ''We will not let you cause more harm'' said Starfire floating down to stand next to Raven.
Then came Cyborg, shooting his sonic cannon at Gizmo, while being carried by the green pterodactyl. ''I think you reached your withdrawal limit, little man''. The beam was enough to make Gizmo back off. Cyborg and Beast Boy then descended and stood next to the two girls.
Finally, Robin came in his motorcycle, driving at full speed. Next to him, in an unmistakably uncomfortable manner, came Spider-man in a little passenger car.
''I hate you so much bird boy'' he muttered
As soon as the arachnid saw a tall enough building, he leaped out of his seat and into the air. He quickly took out his backpack and webbed it to a wall close by. He landed next to Beast Boy after Robin stopped his ride and ordered the cops to fall back. Then, the leader of the titans joined the others.
''We are never discussing this, ok?'' mentioned Peter standing next to his green friend.
''Don't worry dude, I asked Cyborg to take a picture on the way here''.
Peter would have shouted back were they not there to save the day. He calmed his mind and focused back on the troublemakers in front of them.
''So, the dumb-dumbs decided to finally show up'' Said Gizmo standing up with his mechanical arms. He then noticed Spider-man ''What? New recruit for the dumb squad, Robin?''
''You need better material to work with, Stuart Little'' responded Peter.
Beast Boy and everyone on Gizmo's side couldn't help but chuckle to the little guy's annoyance.
Gizmo gritted his teeth ''Shut up! Now you've done it, spider-clown! H.I.V.E Five end them!''
''Titans Go!'' commanded Robin
-Wait a minute, five?- Thought Peter -But there are only 4 of- Suddenly time slowed down for Peter as his spider-sense tingled. Something had appeared below him. Someone aiming to hit his jaw. Peter threw his entire body up and back just to avoid the hit in time. The rest of the titans fall back a step or two now noticing a close threat.
From inside a black portal came a shadowy figure had appeared just below Spider-man, completely covered in black, with pointy ears and a little cape. This was the final member from Gizmo's group, Kyd Wykkyd. After his surprise attack failed, he just stayed there motionless and quiet.
''That was a close one, Dracula'' said the arachnid ''Now, where did I leave my garlic and cross?''
Kyd just glared at him, apparently taking offense at the joke. He was going to try a different strategy against its opponent, but gizmo's voice came in.
''H.I.V.E. Five, implement operation FR3-4K!'' Gizmo shouted to his group.
All of the villains smirked as they could finally put this plan to practice. They began to spread out to get to their targets.
Raven tried to use her power to move the concrete below the villains and trap them but that wouldn't work. In front of Peter's eyes, Kyd took his cape and teleported away out of sight. He suddenly appeared above Raven and pushed her to the ground, transporting her to an ally far from her group. Her teammates would have intervened but they had problems of their own. The rest of the H.I.V.E Five was coming for them.
''As for you!'' Gizmo spoke to Spider-man ''You weren't part of the plan, so this will have to do for now!'' The little man pressed a button on his wrist and half his backpack detached, transforming into a rolling ball that went straight to the arachnid.
Spider-man was half confused and half focused about what was going on, until from the ball came a razor-sharp tentacle trying to cut Peter in half. The hero's senses acted quickly and he jumped back. More and more tentacles came from the ball, all of them finding just air to slash. Peter backed up enough to get some distance and saw how the ball transformed into a featureless and slender humanoid shape.
''Ok, somebody is a terminator fan'' Then Peter took a defensive stance ''Ok T-1000, do your worse!''
On another side of the battle was Starfire. She flew high up to get a sense of the situation. Robin was coming for Gizmo while Mammoth was engaged with Cyborg. Finally, Beast Boy was handling Billy.
The alien girl tried to fly down to support Cyborg but See-More was firing lasers from his helmet every time she tried to move. The redhead tried to fire her green bolts as well, but her enemy was too far and he was avoiding his every attack. Starfire ducked behind a building trying to conceal her presence and taking an alternative route to Cyborg but See-More rotated the visor on his helmet, allowing him to see infrared waves. With this, he started to shoot through the building, missing Starfire just by inches.
The alien girl was getting tired of running, so she flew up the building and went straight for a frontal assault. See-More welcomed the challenge and stood still, turning her visor once more.
Starfire's eyes glowed green and See-more's visor glowed yellow just before the pair shot their respective beams at each other. The beams met mid-air, with one just temporarily gaining the advantage over the other for a short moment before coming to a standstill again. A big explosion then occurred as a result of the collision, covering the whole area with smoke. Starfire tried and tried to dispel the smoke but she could not see any better through the fume. Her rival, however, didn't have that problem. See-More changed visors once again and after locating the alien girl, shot a giant orange bubble from his visor that went directly at his opponent. Starfire didn't have time to react and found herself trapped inside the bubble. The moment she got in, her bubble brought her down to the ground, cracking the asphalt below.
Starfire got up after a moment and tried to break the bubble, but the sphere was just taking her hits to no effect. She tried her bolts but they weren't working either.
''Let me go!'' yelled Starfire.
''Sorry. That's not gonna work on this atomic resistance field.'' said See-More smiling and getting back into battle.
Starfire's yell didn't go unnoticed by his team, however.
''Star!'' yelled Robin. ''I'm coming!'' He then jumped back dodging one of Gizmo's metallic legs.
''Don't get distracted bird brain!'' Yelled Gizmo as one of his metallic legs went for a horizontal attack. Robin dogged it again and jumped high with the help of his steel bo-staff. He then threw three little pellets which exploded upon impacting Gizmo's feet.
The explosions hit him hard and sent him a few feet into the air. He would have felt into the ground were it not for the metalic legs on his backpack catching him before it was too late.
With the momentary distraction, Robin started to fall back and went to help Starfire.
Gizmo gritted his teeth seeing his enemy retreat. He pressed a button on his wrist and several metallic disks came out of his backpack flying. ''You are not going anywhere!'' He yelled.
The disks flew towards Robin, surrounding him. The spherical objects had a little visor looking at Robin.
The Boy Wonder took a defensive stance seeing the situation. ''I don't have time for this!''. He threw a birdarang at Gizmo, but as it got some distance away from him, three of the little disk shot beams of light that hit the birdarang, making it drop to the ground.
Robin tried the same tactic again but the result was the same. This was not looking good. Robin just glared at Gizmo who was calmly approaching.
''Don't worry Robin! I got her!'' Cyborg shouted watching the situation his leader was in. Cyborg was dealing with the thick-muscled giant. Cyborgs threw a jab to try to knock some air out of his rival but Mammoth caught his hand and punched him into an empty building.
''I don't think so metal man!'' growled Mammoth going inside the building to continue the fight.
The screams of a gorilla could also be heard not far from there, stepping and sending flying copy after copy of Billy. Beast Boy was not having problems defeating them, but the copies kept coming and he didn't have a good way of getting rid of them all. If he didn't do anything now, he would get overpowered eventually.
Raven, who had been fighting Kid from the beginning, was just getting angrier and angrier by the second. She needed time to help the other but this mute guy was making it difficult. She tried to throw everything around her, bins, hydrants, newspapers stand, she tried to raise barriers to get some distance but Kyd was getting past everything by going into his cape and teleporting closer to her. Crap, she hated close combat. He would just keep attacking her again and again. Raven, however, had trained hard enough, so she was not making it easy for Kid to hit him. Still, the longer they go on, the less she would help the other. She had to finish this soon.
Peter was dodging every sharp blade coming from his featureless enemy, but he couldn't just keep doing it, the others needed his help. He tried using his webs to immobilize the T-1000 copycat, but it was just cutting them in mid-air. He also tried every hit he knew but his enemy was very agile thanks to its boneless body. Spider-man shot a web to a building nearby to get some distance. Thank goodness his opponent wasn't as mobile as him, so it couldn't stop him from getting away. Still, it was using its blade arms to scale the building Spider-man was swinging by so the arachnid couldn't relax per say. He looked around the battlefield and saw how everyone was doing. He then came up with a plan, but he needed to get rid of Edward Scissorhands first.
Peter then swung towards Cyborg and Mammoth. Their battle had moved from a building that was now collapsed, to just brawling in the middle of the street. There was no clear winner yet Mammoth had the advantage in height. Cyborg wanted to use a special punch, but he needed time to charge it, and his opponent was giving him none of it. Cyborg took a defensive stance to receive a flurry of blows from Mammoth and for a second he managed to see Spider-man running towards them and the walking swiss-army knife behind him.
Once close enough, Peter shot two webs at Mammoths' shoulders and pulled himself forward, landing on his back.
''Hey what the-'' shouted the giant with a goatee.
''Arre, Arre!'' said Spider-man. He only needed a cowboy to make a full picture.
Mammoth tried as much as he could to shake the guy on his back off, but Spider-man had a firm grip on him. As Peter planned, the T-1000 copycat was just behind him, ready to stab him. At the last second, when Peter's spider-sense was at his strongest, the hero jumped out of Mammoth's back, barely avoiding a sword to the back. The metal arm turned-blade broke upon contacting Mammoth skin. The featureless figure could only watch as Spider-man backflipped and landed a few feet behind him.
In reaction to the little bit of pain he felt, Mammoth instinctively tried to hit whatever was behind him with his entire arm. His hit landed, completely shattering Spider-man's foe and scattering its pieces on the ground.
Mammoth just watched dumbfoundedly as he realized what he had done. Gizmo would be angry for sure. However, the giant didn't have any time to think any further as a charged-up, sonic beam punch came to his chin delivered by Cyborg himself. Now that hurt Mammoth for sure. He was sent flying as a result, landing several meters away.
''I don't want to be that chin in the morning'' Said Spider-man
''Yeah, me neither. Thanks for the help''. Said Cyborg giving a thumb up. ''I'll go help Star, can you help Raven?''
''Sure thing, Thin Man'' Said the arachnid before swinging away.
It had just been a moment, but when Peter was examining the battlefield, he could see how Kid had pushed Raven into an alleyway so he knew where he needed to go.
Inside the alleyway, Raven was struggling with Kyd. He had landed one or two solid hits but Raven was still up. Her eyes were starting to change into a crimson red. She threw some huge chunks of concrete at Kyd. He, however, kept his cool and put his cape in front of him. Once the chunks got close enough they seemed to be absorbed into his cape and exist behind him through another portal.
Peter, who was just entering the alley, noticed the huge chunks of rocks coming his way. He used his webs to dodge them mid-air and he couldn't help but remember Glinda and their first encounter. Good times. Regardless, he focused again on the opponent at hand and while mid-air shot some webs at him.
''Hey Dracula, heads up!'' Three web bullets flew at him, but again, he used his cape to teleport them behind him. Especially to the walls along the alley.
Spider-man saw this and got an idea. -Time for one of my new toys- He aimed his web-shooter once more but instead of webs, a little device came out, like a disk that went straight towards Kyd.
The silent villain saw the projectile coming and just teleported it away to one of the walls to the side. The little device hit the wall, but upon impact, it attached itself to it, letting a little, almost imperceptible blue light beam out that went across to the wall in front. The light was near where Kyd was.
Just as he was about to land, Peter tried to attack Kyd with an ax kick but the vampire-like character just moved back. Spider-man smiled inside his mask. -I've got you!-
The second Kyd touched the light beam, a string of web shot from the device, attaching to the mute guy's side and pulling him towards the wall, slamming him hard and covering him in more webs to restrain him.
Kyd, though shaken by the slam for a moment, tried to struggle to get free. Maybe if he could touch his cape he would be able to get free. However, Raven wasn't going to allow that.
She quickly took the opportunity and slammed Kyd against the wall again with a giant raven claw. The brick wall behind him cracked. She couldn't help but grin.
''Well, let's hope he doesn't wake up for another hundred years'' Said Peter. He then turned towards Raven and saw her sinister smile. ''R-Raven, we are cool, r-right?''.
Raven glared back with an angry stare but took a deep breather after. Her face relaxed, her posture became less imposing, and finally, her eyes opened again, to reveal her normal violet color.
''Yes, we are'' She responded. ''The others need us, let's go'' Said Raven flying away to join the others. Spider-man followed her close by.
On another side of the battles, the tables were starting to turn and See-More didn't need to change visors to understand that. However, he had to stick to the plan, protect the bubble and stop the angry tamaranean from escaping. Still, that was easier said than done, giving how Cyborg was coming his way.
See-More used his eye beams to keep some distance away from him. Cyborg was dodging and firing his sonic cannon but each beam seemed to be a bit off. See-More didn't have a problem dodging them and was getting closer and closer to hitting Cyborg. One powerful beam came close to hitting the one-eyed villain but he avoided it at the last second.
''You are an awful shoot today, Cyborg!'' He mocked.
''You sure about that, big head?'' Responded Cyborg
See-More was going to fire another beam but the sound of something cracking made him turned around. There, he saw the bubble Starfire was in, with a huge crack on it.
-Did he miss me on purpose!?- Thought the villain as he witnessed Starfire punching the bubble once more, completely breaking it. Her glowing green eyes were visibly angry.
See-More didn't have time to run before he was stopped by Cyborg's imposing frame. The only thing that See-More could feel after that, was the powerful kick to the back of the head that he received from a pissed off Starfire. The kick sent him flying to a wall, knocking him instantly.
Cyborg and Starfire bumped fists and went looking for the others.
Beast Boy was panting, the fight had been going for a while now but more copies of Billy were coming. He was surrounded by tens if not a hundred of them. He quickly transformed into a lion and repelled 5 attackers coming his way. Still more enemies showed up and he had to dispose of them as they came. He had to think of something fast or he wouldn't last long.
Suddenly half the clones were covered in shadows, making them unable to move.
''Hey!'' ''Hey!'' ''That's not fair!'' ''I'm not into this!'' ''Let go!'' Yelled the clones one by one
Beast Boy looked up and saw Raven flying in the air. Close behind her was Spider-man swinging. He shot 3 disks and the other half of the enemies. The disks landed at their feet and started to transform into spheres as they rose up from the ground. Then the three of them exploded, releasing webs everywhere, trapping the rest of the clones on it.
''Now is your chance Green Beam!'' shouted Spider-man
Beast Boy concentrated hard and his form expanded until transformed into an enormous T-Rex. The green beast roared in anger as he attacked all the clones with his powerful tail, knocking them all out across the street, including of course the real Billy.
With the original passed out, all the other clones disappeared, and Beast Boy sat on the ground, taking a break.
''Dude'' Beast Boy panted ''That guy is so annoying. Thanks for the hand''.
''Don't mention it'' Said Peter landing close to him.
Raven floated down to the ground next to Beast Boy. Seeing her alright couldn't stop him from feeling happy.
Seeing the idiot unharmed, made Raven feel a bit more at ease.
Raven offered a hand to Beast Boy to stand up. Beast Boy saw the offer and took it, with his usual smile. Raven couldn't help but feel warm inside.
Robin was being pressed against a wall. Figuratively speaking. Gizmo was keeping him at bay with his metallic claws and the floating devices around him were making it difficult for him to use any ranged attacks.
Gizmo wasn't a pretty good fighter, but his metallic arms were making up for it. The little man had heard the roar of what probably was one of Beast Boy's animals, so he had to get rid of Boy Wonder here and try to find the rest of his team.
Robin used several birdarangs to try and get Gizmo distracted long enough, but each of his projectiles was always shut down by the disk above him, stopping any opportunity.
Robin decided to change his strategy then. He saved his bo-staff and grabbed two birdarangs. He combined them and formed a sword.
''That won't change your situation Robin!'' shouted Gizmo ready for another attack.
Suddenly a blue sonic beam came directly at the floating barrier around the two adversaries. Then came green bolts, shadows, and webs. All of them hitting and destroying/immobilizing the metallic devices floating around.
Gizmo could only watch in disbelief as the rest of the Titans stood behind Robin, as well as the spider guy. The little genius watched as the Boy Wonder jumped in front of him. Gizmo closed his eyes and tried to defend himself with his mechanical claws. He opened them again and saw his mechanical devices destroyed. Robin had cut them.
Gizmo then fell to the ground, ending the fight.
After apprehending the villains, the rest was business as usual. Talking to the police, waving at the fans, and just enjoying the moment of fame. Or at least, it was business as usual for the Teen Titans. Peter on the other hand was not expecting such a warm reaction from the public that had to be pushed by police officers and other law enforcers so they wouldn't get close to the scene of the battle.
On one hand, Cyborg, Robin, Starfire, Raven, and Spider-man were keeping an eye as Gizmo as his group was getting inside a police truck after they had been handcuffed. Some of the officers looked a bit suspicious of Spider-man, given how they had never seen him before, but him being alongside the Titans made them a lot less worried.
While the group was keeping an eye on the villains, Beast Boy was just entertaining the crowd that had formed. Taking selfies, giving autographs, even doing tricks for little kids. Beast Boy seemed quite used to the attention. This, of course, did not go unnoticed by Peter.
''He seemed to be in his natural environment'' commented Peter to Cyborg while pointing at the green monkey entertaining some kids.
''Yeah. After a trip we took to Tokyo the green bean became one helluva star. Especially with the ladies''. Whispered Cyborg
Peter chuckled ''And I clearly see him complaining''. Peter looked back and could see how a sea of females was trying to get hold of him. ''Please, tell me you have some embarrassing stories from that trip''.
This time Cyborg chuckled ''You know I do''.
Peter was going to enjoy his return to the Tower if he could make Robin get to trust him.
Soon after, Beast Boy managed to escape the grasp of his fans by transforming into a bird, after admittedly enjoying it. He landed next to Peter and changed back to his human form. Peter took a look at him and saw a couple of lipstick marks all over his face.
''So, having fun?'' Asked Peter
''Well, you know, some of my fans were a bit….excited'' He said, rubbing his cheeks trying to remove the lipstick. No matter what, he couldn't hide his grin.
Raven, who was within earshot, was glaring every so often at Beast Boy in an exasperated way. –Why is he wasting his time with them?- She then focused her attention back on the task at hand.
Most of the villains were already in the truck, except for Gizmo who was being taken by two police officers. He just had handcuffs on.
Suddenly Peter's spider-sense tingled. He saw how two extra metallic claws pushed the police officers away from Gizmo and broke the handcuffs on his wrist. The little man then went for something on his pocket.
The heroes all got ready for battle, putting themselves between the villain and the weary onlookers.
''Give it up Gizmo! There is no way you are escaping from this'' Shouted Robin
''We'll see about that bird brain!'' The little genius then took two featureless dolls out of his pocket and pointed them at the titans.
The heroes were getting ready for anything, but nothing happened.
Gizmo shook the little toys a bit. Again, nothing happened. ''Come junk, work! That pale liar told us this would work!''
Then out of nowhere, the two dolls started to shine and lifted themselves up in the air and out of Gizmo's hands. The two objects stood afloat for a moment before the energy around them concentrated in one point on each of them, just to produce a beam that went straight towards the Titans.
Raven quickly made a barrier around the group but to her surprise, the beam went through it, as if the protection wasn't even there. The beams went in her direction and Robin´s. Without any more time to put any other defense, Raven just braced herself for the hit. She closed her eyes and waited.
Screams of pain came out but they weren't hers. The voices behind the screams were male. She opened her eyes again and saw Beast Boy on the ground, collapsed and unconscious. She looked around and in front of Robin was Spider-man, also collapsed on the ground.
The battle finished fast after Gizmo's attack. The little man was quickly tackled to the Titans and properly secured. Robin and Starfire took the villains to prison alongside the police, while Cyborg and Raven took Peter and Beast Boy to the tower for medical attention.
The empath and the metal man put the unconscious heroes in their medical area and connected them to several machines.
They ran tests on Beast Boy and Spider-man and waited for the result.
The result came not long after but for Raven, it felt way longer.
Cyborg read the result but there wasn't anything wrong with Beast Boy or Spider-man. The living computer checked the machine for any kind of problem but there wasn't any.
He contacted Robin to let him know of the situation. The Boy Wonder instructed Cyborg to keep an eye on the two unconscious heroes, in case they woke up.
''Any news from their side?'' asked Raven
''Not much. Robin and Starfire are already coming here. It seems our little friend and his gang are staying in a new comfortable prison cell.
Those were good news but it didn't change Raven's mood. She walked to where Beast Boy and just looked at him. She could feel the guilt growing on her.
''Why aren't they waking up?'' Raven said without turning back.
''I don't know'' said Cyborg putting a hand on her shoulder ''Their vitals seem alright and I don't detect any physical injuries''. He checked a little screen on his forearm to confirm this. ''Maybe something in your area of expertise?''
Raven considered it for a moment. Maybe that was it!
She placed her hand on Beast Boy's temples and tried to enter into his mind. She waited for a moment, then another moment, and then another. Nothing. She tried to push herself into him but the result was the same. It was like watching static on a TV. Raven had always thought that Beast Boy didn't have much of a mind inside his head but this was a bit too much. She broke the connection.
''Any luck?''
Raven shook her head. She tried doing the same with Peter but the result was the same.
''Well, let's just keep an eye for them. That much we can do''. Cyborg said, proceeding to sit in a chair next to the beds.
Raven did the same.
The room they were in fell completely silent. Just the occasional beep sound from the machines around the room could be heard. For anyone else, it could have been pretty awkward just staring at two unconscious people next to somebody who doesn't really talk, in our case Raven, but Cyborg knew that if Raven wanted to talk about something bothering her, she would.
The living computer would turn every so often to check on her, but the more he looked, the more tired her face appeared, until at one point, Raven had completely fallen asleep in her chair.
Cyborg just smiled and let her rest.
If you had to ask Raven, the battle against the H.I.V.E Five was more annoying than exhausting. So it surprised her how tired she was feeling when she was watching Beast Boy and the spider guy. She tried and tried but inevitably, she fell asleep.
She found herself dreaming, but something felt different. She was just in an empty, black space. Anyone else in her position would have freaked out in a situation like this, but Raven was not easily scared.
She tried floating around for a bit and indeed she could, so her powers seem to be working normally.
She flew up to see if there was any exit around but the only thing she could find was more darkness.
Then, something appeared in the corner of her eye. Just outside her periphery. She turned around but nothing was there.
She kept looking but whatever it was, it was always outside her gaze.
This place was turning more and more annoying for her. Still, she was keeping her guard up just in case.
''Come one creep, show yourself and stop wasting my time!''
Suddenly, she felt a massive present behind her.
6 pairs of red eyes appeared behind her, filling the black void. She turned around and saw them all staring at her with wicked intentions. Then, came a cacophony of laughter, sourceless yet crystal clear.
Raven prepared for battle but before anything could happen, a green light shone down on the empath. The eyes didn't react kindly towards it.
Raven recognized the light, it was that light from so many nightmares. She quickly started flying towards it.
Moving like tar, the darkness below Raven tried to catch her, trying over and over to, just for Raven to escape the grasp at the last second. The 6 pairs of eyes never stopped looking at her. They were everywhere.
Raven continued to push forward and the closer she got to the source of the light, the clearer she could hear another voice, faint at first but steadily increasing.
''Raven….. Raven, wake up''.
She knew that voice, an image came to her mind, she could almost see it. I was….
Suddenly, Raven woke up. She opened her eyes slowly taking in her surroundings. She was sitting down in the same seat in the medical room. She tried to straighten herself but felt a little pain in her back. Falling asleep in a chair probably wasn't the best idea.
Raven continued to look around the room and could notice the sun shining brightly behind the windows. Strange, if she had fallen asleep earlier that day, it should be night by now, not morning.
''So, you are finally awake'' said Robin cutting her line of thought. The Boy Wonder was not far from where she herself was sitting.
Raven rubbed her eyes and stretched a bit before standing up.
''What time is it?''
Robin checked his communicator ''11:30 am''.
''11:30 am?''
''Yes''
''As in, 11:30 in the morning?''
''Correct''
''Wait, what day is today?''
''Saturday''
''Saturday? You are telling me I slept through the whole day?!''
''Cyborg told us that you were just tired, so we just let you be. Starfire and I were starting to get worried, thought''.
Raven just took in the information.-Well, that's strange. I'll have to meditate later'' Thought Raven. She then remembered the reason she was in the room in the first place.
The half-demon turned around to check out the beds. In the room, there was only one bed, and Beast Boy was the one in there. No sign of the other guy.
''Where is the spandex guy?''
''You mean Spider-man?''
Raven nodded.
''He is with Starfire and Cyborg in another room. Just a precaution''.
''I see. No change in his state?'' Raven said pointing at Beast Boy
''Apparently not. Cyborg also told me that you didn't detect anything before''
Raven shook her head
''Can you give it another go?''
''Sure'' Raven stretched one more time and went to Beast Boy's bed.
She placed her hands on his temples again and went through the same process. His skin was cool. She couldn't stop but feel worried sensing his skin like that. Raven pushed those thoughts away though and focused on looking for something. She looked, looked, and looked and there was something! Something small, but it was there.
''I got something!'' said Raven
Robin approached the bed quickly. ''Can you wake him up?''
''I'll try'' she said. Raven focused once more. She found that little spark and whispered ''Wake up please''. Then, her arms left Beast Boy's temples.
She and Robin took a step back.
They waited a moment.
Then another.
Then a little groan came from Beast Boy as he started to open his eyes.
Raven and Robin let go of the breath they were holding. Their teammate was fine.
Beast Boy tried to sit down but Robin approached him
''Easy, easy. You've been sleeping for a while''
Beast Boy groaned again. ''Did you write down the license plate of the truck?''
Robin chuckled for a moment. It was good seeing his teammate's sense of humor again.
Raven, on the other hand, kept her monotonous face on but her previous concerns were way gone after hearing that exchange.
Beast Boy straightened himself into a sitting position to see the others. He groaned again before talking
''So, are you both alright?''
''Yes'' answered Robin
Raven nodded ''Thanks to you''
Beast Boy chuckled ''It's what I do. The second time it doesn't hurt that bad''
Raven raised her eyebrows. That was a weird comment.
''What exactly happened?'' asked Beast Boy
''It seems that Gizmo had one more trick up his sleeve.'' responded Robin ''He attacked us with something, some kind of beam that came from a doll. Starfire and I will retrieve it later in the day''.
The green skin hero nodded. He remembered jumping in front of the bean on pure impulse. He began to massage his neck and couldn't help but notice how he was touching his skin and not his suit. Strange, he didn't remember his skin being so hairy. Maybe it was time to start taking that whole back-hair thing more seriously.
''You took off my mask, huh?'' He sighed ''Well, I guess medical treatment was necessary. Now you have to make the hero promise and not tell anyone''.
Raven looked at him puzzled. ''What are you talking about?''.
Beast Boy just looked at her with a confusing look ''You know, secret identity, alter ego, Robin knows what I'm talking about right?'' He said turning towards him.
''Beast Boy, you sure you are alright?'' Robin asked
''Beast Boy?'' The green bean chuckled ''Hey, Robin, I think that mask of yours is causing a bit of eye damage because I'm definitely not Beast….'' The hero moved his hand in front of his face to emphasize a point, just to find that they were green and furry ''Wait a minute, why are my hand covered in green fur?!''
''Ok Beast Boy, calm down'' Said Raven approaching him slowly.
''Have you ever felt calmed when people say that to you? I'm telling you, I'm not Beast Boy, I'm Spider-man! Why am I in his body?!'' Said Peter getting out of the bed, realizing now that he wasn't in his body.
Raven went to him to try and calm him down. Once she got close enough, she found herself looking up at him.
-Wait a second, since when Beast Boy got so tall?!-
While Raven and Spider-man, now in Beast Boy's body, talked, someone called Robin's communicator. He answered absent-mindedly.
''Yo Robin, you there?''
''...''
''Hey, Robin!''
The Boy Wonder's mind came back. ''Y-Yes, what happened?''.
''I think we have a situation with the spider guy here''.
''Yeah, I think I know what you are talking about. Meet you in the common room''.
''Ok, we are already there''.
Robin finished the call and talked to the others. He explained the situation to a way more relaxed Spider-man thanks to Raven, so they were all on the same page.
''So, Beast Boy is probably in my body now?'' said Peter now standing next to the others.
''Most likely'' Said Robin. ''We should move. Can you manage that?''
Peter stretched quickly ''I think I can handle it''.
Robin nodded and the group went running towards the common room.
It took a minute or two, but Spider-man was getting the hang of his new body. There were a thousand weird things about his situation but he would have time to ask them later. He was running alongside Robin while Raven was flying above them.
The closer the group got to the common room, the louder they could hear the sound of stuff breaking and smashing.
-What's going on?- The group thought at the same time. Peter being the most worried of the three.
The doors to the common room opened and the trio didn't really know how to react to what they were seeing.
Beast Boy, or at least what they presumed was Beast Boy in Spider-man's body, was in mid-air breaking 4 metallic discs with his four appendages at the same time. He then just came back down and landed gracefully on the ground.
''DUDE! Dude!, Did you see that?'' Shouted Beast Boy, in Peter's body, while taking his mask out.
''Yeah man!'' shouted Cyborg back
''That was a wonderful display of dexterity friend Spider- I mean friend Beast Boy'' said Starfire floating down towards him ''Shall we try it again?''
Ahem
Cyborg, Starfire, and Beast Boy turned at the same time and saw the other trio of heroes just looking at them. Before anyone could say a thing, Peter stepped forward.
''Beast boy, the mask!''
''Dude, what about it?''
''It's supposed to be on your face! Secret identity? Hero basics 101?''
''Dude relax! You are among friends, besides, I was starting to suffocate with that thing, how do you do it?''
''Years of experience but that's not the point!''
The rest of the hero watched as the pair continued their discussion without ever reaching a final point. It was kind of bizarre seeing the heroes in the other's body. It just didn't match.
''Dude, your body is so awesome!'' Said Beast Boy ''Just look at these abs!'' He said lifting his shirt.
''Green bean don't strip in front of the others!''
This was becoming more and more stressful for Peter so he just let the green hero in his body be. He still kept an eye on him to make sure he didn't do anything stupid.
Beast Boy on the other hand kept doing acrobatics and imitating kung-fu moves so, so far, everything was well.
Peter walked to the kitchen where the rest of the team had gathered. Apparently Raven had made some tea while the argument was going.
''You have room for one more?'' asked Peter getting closer to the table everyone was in.
''Sure man, take a seat'' said Cyborg
''Thanks'' Peter sat down but couldn't help but sigh
''Is everything over control friend Beast- I mean, friend Spider-man?'' talked Starfire who was next to him
''Under control Star'' replied Raven who was opening the fridge to get some things.
''Oh, sorry. Yeah, under control''
Peter was about to lift his head to answer when his nose picked up the smell of food from the fridge. Frozen meat, vegetables, some juices, and other things were inside. The smell of meat in particular made his instincts sharp. He started to salivate but then he felt a complete rejection from his stomach. Like two forces inside of him trying to control him. He suddenly snapped out of it and looked up just to see Starfire looking at him expectantly.
''I'm sorry, what did you ask?''
''Is everything under control, friend Spider-man?''
''Well, more or less. I'm a green-skinned munchkin with pointy ears so, go figure''
''Hey!'' yelled Beast Boy who was now crawling up on the ceiling ''I will let you know that my fans LOVE my pointy ears'' he said before standing upside down and crossing his arms. However, his control over his new powers was minimal so his feet let go off the ceiling when he finished that sentence.
He crashed on the floor. Back first. He groaned but the others didn't move a finger.
Peter didn't want to turn around. He just sighed.
At that moment, Raven brought some tea to the table. Peter accepted it a little absentminded.
''Please, tell me you know how to reverse this''
''We need to interrogate Gizmo to see where he got that doll from'' responded Robin. He checked his communicator ''It's already 12 so maybe we can go and give them a visit. Would you come with me, Star?''
''Gladly, boyfriend Robin'' Said Starfire finishing her tea.
Suddenly, Beast Boy jumped out from his position on the floor and stood up. ''Wait a minute! You meant 12, as in midday?!''
''Yeah''
''Why do you ask green be- Ohhh..'' said Cyborg.
Then Starfire spoke ''I was wondering about that too''
''My children!'' Beast Boy cried out loud
Raven choked on her tea. ''YOUR WHAT?!'' However, her words fell on deaf ears as Beast Boy began walking everywhere erratically
''I CANNOT BE LATE, I CANNOT BE LATE, I CANNOT BE LATE, I CANNOT BE LATE! CYBORG, PLEASE TAKE ME IN THE T-CAR!''
''Can you just transform into a- Yeah true'' Cyborg sighed ''Come on then''. And with that, the two titans left the room in a hurry.
Robin and Starfire were also gone as well. This left a still shocked Raven and Spider-man, who was not getting what was happening, in the room until he fell Beast Boy grabbing him by the collar of his uniform and dragging him out of the room.
''You have to come too!''
''Hey! Wait a-'' that was everything Raven could hear before the pair exited the room. This left the empath with just one thought in her mind
