As Olivia came to the next morning, she realized that Fitz's side of the bed was empty. As she felt around for his body, her hand came in contact with a piece of paper instead. The note he'd left on the pillow next to her stated that he was at the studio and he would be there for a few hours. She chuckled and shook her head at how he concluded the note with "Love, Daddy".
Olivia sat the note on her bedside table and grabbed her phone to check the time. She couldn't believe that it was nearing two o'clock in the afternoon. She'd slept for far too long.
She pushed herself up and allowed her legs to dangle over the edge of the bed before she slowly stood. "Whoa," she said aloud as she grabbed onto the nightstand. Olivia stood in place until she got herself together and could properly walk into the bathroom. Her body was a bit sore from last night's festivities with her man. Once in the bathroom, she spotted another note from Fitz and as she picked it up she felt herself already smiling. "Awww. He's so sweet" she said to herself after reading his poor chicken scratch. Her lefty had her breakfast downstairs.
She loved how he knew that the little things is what meant so much to her.
Olivia turned on the shower and waited until the temperature was just right before stepping in. After her shower and doing all the other important hygiene steps, she got dressed and grabbed her cellphone. As she reheated her breakfast she texted Clara letting her know that she'd be over in a few minutes to get her kids. Then, she texted Fitz, thanking him for the delicious breakfast and letting him know just how much she loved and missed him.
Once she finished breakfast, she grabbed her keys, locked up the house and left to Clara's.

"Clara." Olivia greeted sourly. She was pretending to be "upset" with her sisters for not minding their business and listening to her and Fitz last night.
Clara laughed and waved off her sister. "Oh, come on, Lib, you can't be mad at me. I'm the one who made them hang up!"
"I'm mad at all four of you," Olivia said as she playfully rolled her eyes. Clara was the sweetest. It was sorta hard to be upset with her.
"It's honestly not our fault, you called us! And at first we thought something was seriously happening to you because of the sounds you were making!" Clara laughed making Olivia's face flushed with embarrassment. "Anyway, where's Fitzgerald," she asked changing the subject. Clara was not all comfortable discussing the things she'd heard, truthfully, she wanted them out of her head, and she knew Olivia had to be quite uncomfortable too.
"He's at the studio… Question, when the boys left last night, they went with Benjamin, how'd they end up here?"
"Apparently they were bored over at Benjamin's house and he gave them the ok to take an Uber here since he wasn't 'in the mood to take them home'. At least that's what Felix said, and I doubt any of them would lie considering the fact that we could just call to verify. It's no big deal though. They're always welcome here."
Olivia rolled her eyes and shook her head. She was definitely going to get Fitz to talk to his irresponsible brother. "Where are they now?"
"They're probably in the game room. Girl, I honestly don't know. They have only bothered me when they've gotten hungry."
Olivia laughed. That's exactly how they are at home too. "That sounds about right. Where's Katie?"
"Her, Logan and Brooke are playing in Brooke's room. Tamia brought Logan over early this morning because apparently she had business to handle."
"I wonder what business she has?"
Clara shrugged, then she shouted Katie's name making Olivia wince and cover her ears. "You are too loud, Clare!"
"Well, Katie's been asking 'is my mommy here?' every five seconds since the moment I told her that you were on your way and I don't want to keep her waiting any longer. That child adores you, Lib." Clara smiled. "She's my sweet baby." Olivia smiled back.
Once Katie came downstairs, her blue eyes fell onto Olivia making her grin. "Mama!" She squealed as she ran into Olivia's open arms.
"Hey, ladybug!" Olivia gushed. "Are you having fun at auntie Clara's house?"
"Yes!" Katie beamed, tossing around her hair. "But I wanna come home with you and daddy."
Olivia chuckled and brushed Katie's hair away from her face. "I know. That's why I'm here, ladybug. Go get your brothers, please."
"Ok, Lib." Katie responded and Clara threw her head back in laughter at Katie using Olivia's childhood nickname. Olivia shook her head. "Clara, do not be influencing my kids."
"I didn't do anything!" Clara laughed again, this time holding up her hands.
In no time, Katie returned downstairs with her brothers and Olivia smiled at them. "Hey, mom." Felix, Teddy, and Asher said.
"Hey, guys." She greeted back with a cheerful smile. She loved how Fitz's sons had decided on calling her mom all on their own. It truly warmed her heart.
"Where's Fitz," Nolan asked. Olivia shifted her weight onto on leg as she looked at him. "Well, hello to you too, Nolan. Fitz is at the at the studio. Are you ok, baby," she asked, sensing that something was wrong with her son.
She pulled him closer and he shook his head, "I just need to talk to him."
"I can drop you off at the studio with him?" Olivia offered. Nolan nodded his head, seeming to like that suggestion. "Ok."
"Ok. Well, let's get going. Tell auntie Clara bye, guys."
Everyone said their goodbyes and on the way out the door, Olivia called Fitz to let him know that she was going to drop Nolan off and take the rest of the kids home with her since Ashlin would be there soon to pick up Felix and Teddy.

There had been a lot on Nolan's mind since he found out about his dad's sexuality, most days he still found it hard to believe. He needed a man he could talk to and trust, and the only man he believed that would be there for him and wouldn't steer him the wrong way is Fitz.
Once Olivia texted Fitz that she was outside, he walked out of his place of work to greet her and the kids at the car.
"Hi." He smiled once she'd rolled down the windows.
The corners of her mouth turned up as she smiled back at him. She felt giddy just seeing him and couldn't understand why. Fitz just had that affect on her. If she could, she'd live in his skin. "Hi, handsome."
"Hi, daddy!" Katie beamed from the backseat making Olivia snicker. That girl loved her daddy.
"Hi, ladybug! Daddy missed you so much. Did you have fun at aunt Clara's house?"
Katie nodded with a smile and Fitz shot her thumbs up. He really appreciated how Olivia's family loved and cared for his children. It was refreshing. After chatting with everyone, he leaned in to Olivia's window then kissed her lips, "I've got to head back inside. I'll see you later?"
"I'll be waiting for you," she said, wiping the corners of his mouth. "Nolan, have fun, baby."
Fitz opened the back door and Nolan climbed out. Before heading back inside, he told his sons how much he loved them. Departing from his older children was never easy, but he had to fulfill his custody agreement. Besides, Ashlin was a great mother and friend, so he knew his boys were always in good hands.
"See you guys later," Fitz said to everyone in the car.
"I love you, baby." Olivia shouted.
Fitz chuckled as he shouted it back, watching as she drove away.

"So, your mother said you wanted to talk? What's going on, Nolan," Fitz asked once he and Nolan was in his office.
"Mmm, ever since we found out about my dad, I've been having a hard time coping to the situation and I just need someone to talk to–someone that'll hear me out."
"I can understand that. What's bothering you the most? Are there people messing with you about it or something?"
"Of course people are talking and I knew that was going to happen, I just hate how bad it makes my mom look. You being around makes her happy and I'm glad you guys were able to work out everything, but honestly, I know this situation still affects her, too. I honestly just want closure from my dad. He kind of kicked me and Ash to the side after our argument and I just want to see how things will go now? So…would you mind taking me to see him so that I can talk to him? I didn't want to ask mom because I knew she wouldn't do it."
Fitz sighed heavily. He wondered what Olivia would do or think if she found out about this, but he quickly told himself that she wouldn't. With a nod, Fitz said, "I guess I can, bud. I mean, I'd hate for you to continue walking around with all of these emotions bottled up inside of you. Ask Jake for his address then let him know that we're coming. Nolan, remember that you should stay respectful and don't say hateful things that you can't take back. I know this is hard for you, but Jake's an adult and he deserves to be respected. And above all else, he's your father."
"I wish people would stop telling me that." Nolan mumbled, following Fitz out of the studio.
Unfortunately, Fitz had not heard him.

It had been over an hour since Liv dropped Nolan off with Fitz and she thought they'd surely be home by now.
It was strange how as soon as Nolan and Fitz left the studio Olivia started to blow up Fitz's phone. Nolan found it hilarious, it was like she was warning them to not go to Jake's and not only that, he had never witnessed his mom being so "crazy" over a guy before. He was happy that the guy was Fitz though. He had heard some D list actor name Russell wanted to date her, but luckily Fitz already had her heart.
"I've got to call your mom back, or I'll be a dead man," Fitz said, dialing her number.
On the first ring, Olivia answered. "Why aren't you responding to me, Fitz? Is Nolan ok?"
"Babe, he's fine. We're actually headed somewhere right now. Nolan needs to have some guy time right now and we can't do that with you texting me every second. We'll be home soon."
Olivia laughed. "Ok. Fine. I'm sorry. I was just worried. He didn't seem like himself earlier and I wanted to make sure that he was ok. But I'll leave you guys alone and not interrupt your 'guy time'."
"Mhm. We appreciate it." Fitz smiled. "I love you, crazy lady."
"I love you too, Fitz. Don't stay out too long."
"Promise."
After ending the call, Fitz parked the car. "We're here. Are you ready," he asked as he unbuckled his seat belt then looked over at Nolan.
Nolan nodded, staring at the house in front of him. His dad's house was much smaller than his mom's, but it was very nice looking with a wraparound porch. "Yeah, I guess so."
"Just tell him how you feel and stay respectful, and I bet it'll go smoothly. If not, we'll leave and you can be as disrespectful as you want to be as we walk out of the door," Fitz said half jokingly making Nolan laugh.
Fitz was seriously a hilarious guy; Nolan knew it was one of the reasons his mom loved him so much and she stayed laughing whenever she was around him.
In his eyes, Fitz and his mom were goals.
They walked to the front door and rung the doorbell. After a few seconds, Jake opened the door and let them in.
"What's up, son? How have you been? Fitz, it's good to see you," Jake said, gesturing for them to in come inside and sit, then he took his seat after they did.
Fitz only nodded, he didn't have anything to say. Nolan stared at his dad and said nothing as well. He didn't even know where to start.
"So, what is it buddy? Is everything good," Jake asked again, trying to break the ice.
"Actually, everything isn't good, because you ruined everything. People are making fun of me, mom, and Asher just because of you! Everyday after the divorce mom cried, every night she cried herself to sleep! You were so selfish and only thought of yourself!" Nolan rambled. He thought he was ready to have a calm conversation but the sight of Jake truly angered him. He was just a reminder of the bad in his life. All the trauma.
"Nolan," Fitz said calmly. He remembered Olivia telling him how Nolan reacted the first time he heard the news about Jake, but to witness it for himself was something else.
"No Fitz, it's ok, let the boy run his mouth. Does that make you feel like a man? Huh? Talking down on me makes you feel better, right? You guys aren't the only ones who has it hard, I do too! I have to deal with it directly! I'm sorry, Nolan, but I can't help who I love." Jake expressed.
"Dude, whatever! The problem isn't about 'who you love'! It's the fact that you knew what you were doing and made my mom look bad! You could've told us the truth but instead you lied, cheated, and laid in mom's bed with another man while she was out working! And no, you aren't sorry! Well, maybe you are sorry...you're sorry that you finally got caught, huh?!"
Jake nose flared. He'd had enough. "Get out! Fitz take this ungrateful son of a bitc-, just get him out of my house," he shouted as he stood up. He had already told Olivia that he didn't want anything to do with the kids after their initial reaction, and he only agreed to seeing Nolan today because he thought the boy had had enough time to get over his ill feelings. Clearly he was wrong.
"Jake, do not talk to him that way, he's a kid! Be an adult for once in your life! He's hurt and angry, can't you understand that?" Fitz yelled back as he stood up too.
Jake eyed him up and down, then he took a cautious step back. "I don't have to do a goddamn thing! Get the fuck out of my house and take your son with you."
Fitz shook his head. He couldn't believe Jake was being such a bitch baby and letting a child's words get to him. "C'mon now, man. No matter what, Nolan's still your son. You need to man the fuck up. Just because you're suddenly into dick doesn't mean you have to act like one!"
"He isn't shit to me!" Nolan shouted as tears fell from his eyes. After all, he was just a child and his feelings were hurt. All he wanted was a father. Someone who'd love him. Someone who'd be there for him.
Jake cackled. "Oh, you're right about that! I know I'm not. You aren't even my real son! Fitz meet your son and Nolan meet your real father. Since you think Olivia is so perfect and can do no wrong, just know that I wasn't the only one with secrets in our marriage."
What did he just say? Fitz wondered as he focused on Jake. He felt his entire body heat up and he knew he had to get out of there before he seriously injured the man.
"Stop lying on my mom! I hope you rot in hell!"Nolan shouted. Fitz immediately grabbed Nolan, taking him out to the car. "Nolan, stop! Let's go!"
Jake watched with a smug grin. The look on Fitz's face had honestly scared the shit out of him, but he knew Fitz now had bigger fish to fry. Jake had waited years for the perfect moment and he knew by Fitz's reaction that he had believed him.
"Oh yeah? Well, ask your mother if I'm lying!" Jake shouted out the door before slamming it close. He roared with laughter as he plopped down in his leather chair and kicked up his feet.
They aren't going to last, he thought as he sipped on his bourbon.
X
Nolan was seething with anger while in the passenger seat. "He is such a liar! I hate him! I hate him so much!" He voiced. "Can you believe he would lie like that?! Fitz, can you believe that?!"
Fitz remained silent as he drove them home. It didn't go unnoticed by Nolan that Fitz hadn't said a word since they left Jake's, as if he was thinking about something...
And now as Nolan really looked at Fitz, he began to see uncannily resemblance between himself and Fitz that he had never noticed before...
Holy shit...
